DuckTales: The Movie - Treasure of the Lost Lamp
With his nephews and niece, everyone's favorite rich uncle, Scrooge McDuck, treks from his mansion home in Duckburg in search of the long-lost loot of the thief Collie Baba. But finding the goods isn't quite what it's "quacked" up to be! Their thrilling adventure leads to comical chaos, magical mayhem, and a lesson about what is far more valuable than money, gold and jewels. From TMDB

unlabelledView post →yknow while TMS's work on Ducktales is no doubt more flashy, Wang Film got some nice character animation too

If you have the comic adaptation from 1990, you can also see this poster without the lettering on the back cover (although it does have a UPC code in the corner).

unlabelledView post →I'm listening to Intrada's release of the Ron Jones DUCKTALES soundtrack today and man, it is wild to be hearing a holy grail film score after this long of not being released ANYWHERE.
unlabelledView post →2. Roxanne Rover One of my earliest Disney crushes. Gorgeous, sweet, funny, sassy, and just as awkward as Max. It remains one of Disney's biggest sins that she didn't return in the sequel. (At least she showed up in House of Mouse and had a cameo in DuckTales 2017!)

unlabelledView post →Prior to Ducktales (2017), this film was the highwater mark for adapting a pop culture property in a way that bridges it with older, less widely-known source material. Absolutely brilliant bit of connective tissue between the wider world of the comic strip and the more familiar cartoon.
unlabelledView post →Share an ANIMATED movie title that begins with the letter “D” 🎥 D is for… “DuckTales The Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp” (1990) 🖤
unlabelledView post →John Carpenter's The Thing. And not a movie, but the 2017 version of DuckTales is superior to the original DuckTales show.
unlabelledView post →I miss when licensed tie in games were a thing. Between the late 80s to about the mid 00s, almost every popular movie and show got their own game adaptation. Sure, many were duds, but you still got masterpieces like DuckTales NES, Goldeneye 64, and Simpsons Hit & Run.

unlabelledView post →Started watching the "new" (2017) #DuckTales, and a reporter just called Scrooge McDuck an "adventure capitalist" 😂 I love it when they put in grown-up jokes like that. Also, they had Jennifer Hale guest-starring as an assassin! She has, like, two lines, but hearing my #GuildWars2 fem-sylvari main's voice somewhere else always makes me happy. As for the series itself: I've only seen the pilot two-parter, but it's funny and well made. Bit over the top sometimes, but that's alright.

unlabelledView post →#DendensMovieDen. No. 227. DuckTales: The Movie – Treasures of the Lost Lamp. Disney thought that the world needed an alternative to Aladdin with ducks, and I’m sure many millennials are still grateful for this brilliant idea. To be fair, it’s not nearly as good as either the original (1/7)
unlabelledView post →DuckTales The Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp is one of those stories that I have multiple copies of: the original 1990 Disney Comics graphic novel, the DVD and the Disney Afternoon Adventures book. Now I just need DuckTales the Flamethrower to complete my collection.
unlabelledView post →Not feeling well, so I’m watching movies and resting. I think someone gave Scrooge a flamethrower instead of a lighter in this scene from DuckTales the Movie:
unlabelledView post →I will say that the way Djinn was designed for the remake is FAR more accurate and respectful to how Persian warrirors looked. Definitely better than how he looked in the 1990 Ducktales movie.... yeesh

unlabelledView post →I’m watching the DuckTales reboot and Scrooge McDuck saying that he hasn’t seen a movie since 1938 and that he only opened his film studio to make cheap movies that bring in a lot of money is such a sad and hilarious summary of what’s going on with movies atm lol
