An American Tail: Fievel Goes West
Some time after the Mousekewitz's have settled in America, they find that they are still having problems with the threat of cats. That makes them eager to try another home out in the west, where they are promised that mice and cats live in peace. Unfortunately, the one making this claim is an oily con artist named Cat R. Waul who is intent on his own sinister plan. From TMDB

The message of this movie is an almost perfect one for the second Trump presidency: immigrant family escapes oppression to America, contributes to the fight for justice here. (Plus, family separation)
positive · AI labelView post →You reminded me that a bunch of this crowd were arguing that the opening of An American Tail depicted a Ukrainian pogrom (despite the fact that the movie says it's ghe Russian Empire) because Sumy is part of modern day Ukraine
neutral · AI labelView post →Tonight's late movie is An American Tail (1986) 🍿
neutral · AI labelView post →Today's VHS was Fievel: Resan till Amerika (An American Tail). A movie in which a family of mice travel to America and proceeds to be sad that the country actually sucks. Very relevant. The film moves at a breakneck pace and just kind of happens at you for about an hour. Mousetastic.
neutral · AI labelView post →'An American Tail' released on this day in 2007. A late tie-in to the 1986 Don Bluth animated film, by way of shovelware purveyors Data Design Interactive and Blast! Entertainment. Ten levels span a variety of genres / gameplay modes -- most recycled from previous DDI products.

neutral · AI labelView post →I watched “An American Tail” from @donbluth.bsky.social for the fist time since I was 10 in 1987. It spotlights that immigrants made this country. And it reminds me we have a lot of Fat Cats to fight and win against. That film teaches us that a minority can overcome as long as we work together.
positive · AI labelView post →Just watched An American Tail (1986) with the kids. A movie that is much more deeply ok than I remembered. I’d remembered it being more about the immigrant experience in America and not partly about how drunk corrupt Irish politicians rely on dead people for votes?
neutral · AI labelView post →Another 21th November, another moment to celebrate the film I cherish the most, 'An American Tail', now 39. 🥳🐭 And this time, a drawing looking like a cel~ 🖌️ #AnAmericanTail #DonBluth #fanart #digitalillustration#anthroart
neutral · AI labelView post →1) An American Tail - I’ve noticed my opinions Don Bluth films go through similar phases: As a kid, I am in love. As an adult, I am disappointed by all the flaws I can now notice. Then years later I am ready to meet the movie on its own terms, and fall in love all over again. (1/2)

neutral · AI labelView post →It’s funny to realize that whether we get a remake of a movie or not is dependent on the studio that owns it more than anything else. Surely there would be demand for An American Tail and The Neverending Story remakes now
neutral · AI labelView post →Describing the plot of An American Tail and yeah, it’s hard to believe a children’s movie went so deeply into 20th century immigrant and labor rights issues
neutral · AI labelView post →tonight I am watching a live reading of An American Tail — you know, the cartoon about the mouse — featuring a stacked cast, put on by a progressive worker's rights organization. I admire their cause, I enjoyed the film as a child, and I have seen *approximately 10 ads a day for it since late July*

On Sunday we got An American Tail double feature! I owed y'all a rodent movie night, and fun fact: I've never seen these ones!

positive · AI labelView post →Jimmy Stewart's final film role was providing the voice of Wylie Burp in An American Tail: Fievel Goes West (1991).
neutral · AI labelView post →Oh, I'm not the creator of the film - that's just the title of the video. The creator is Michel Gagné, who also worked on An American Tail, The Land Before Time, and Osmosis Jones.
neutral · AI labelView post →7). Fievel Mousekewitz’s baby sister disappears about halfway through the film An American Tail, which puts his missing status in a wholly new context…
neutral · AI labelView post →#Inktober Day 05: Tanya (An American Tail) I saw Fievel Goes West before I actually saw the first film, so this version of Tanya always stuck in my mind. Don Bluth had an incredible impact on me as a storyteller and an artist. I still strive to embody those lessons. #furryart #DonBluth

neutral · AI labelView post →It is my 149th day of recommending an animated film, and today is my 120th favourite An American Tail. This was during the period where Don Bluth looked like he might take over from the struggling Disney as the forefront of American family animation, and he was not afraid of artistic swings…
positive · AI labelView post →Age yourself with a movie you saw in theaters Don Bluth left Disney Animation in 1979 and, a few studios later, released 'An American Tail'; at the time, it was the highest grossing non-Disney animated film of all time. I love it to this day.
neutral · AI labelView post →105: An American Tail I don’t recall if I have ever seen this movie, and a lot of Don Bluth stuff is a blind spot for me. It’s a very cute and sincere film with a lot of gorgeous backgrounds and lovely character animation, just a generally sweet experience.
positive · AI labelView post →Name a film that you watched repeatedly as a child. An American Tail. Also, this part scared the hell out of me. The design of it was incredible. The way it moved. Omg. 💜

neutral · AI labelView post →I've said before that An American Tail is pretty much an film for adults story turned into a "children's" movie merely by making it an animated movie starring anthropomorphic animals.
positive · AI labelView post →At what point does something become furry and not just animals? Cause yeah, I hear "sapience" as a standard, but to me that doesn't feel right. Like, I wouldn't call An American Tail furries. A furry movie, yes, but not furries. Reasoning? Humans exist in this world. I think humans not regarding
neutral · AI labelView post →We just watched An American Tail and I forgot how much Ralph-Bakshi-esque rotoscoped objects are in that movie. What an incredible film. So relevant today too.

neutral · AI labelView post →Name a film you watched repeatedly as a child. AN AMERICAN TAIL: FIEVEL GOES WEST for me. I damn near wore out my VHS tape. Underrated AF, voice cast is STACKED, genuinely hilarious, and has some beautiful tender moments. Plus, as a guy from The West, I have a fondness for Westerns.
