I started playing it for a while when I thought to myself "huh, this game look like it was designed to be used with microtransactions". After a google search it turns out this is an app ported like I suspected. As it is it definitely feels like a ripoff when the game is free on mobile. The hilarious part is they've kept the bits of the game that were clearly meant to get you to pay money to make the game easier and now they are just there as either a really dumb mechanic or an unreasonably…

Introduction ‘That looks like a fun game.’ Those were literally the first words that popped in my mind when I saw some of the screenshots of Devils & Demons. It’s not uncommon for us gamers to think that, I assume, but still; I was intrigued to say the least. And I somehow naturally assumed it would be a mix of a few other games (like Diablo, Puzzle Quest and turn-based strategies) but then combined into one, amazingly fun, little package. So, was I right or…? Gameplay Not entirely, but yes.…

There is no save option in the game and graphics are like a joke. Green and red boxes all over screen during talks and info. Keep away from screwing your money folks. İt is another good looking money trap in steam.

I like turn based strategy with action points, in fact XCOM is one of my favorite games. Although Devils and Demons is in this category it failed to capture my attention within the first hour. During my play time the units I controlled vastly overpowered the enemies to the point where just going straight in without strategy will still win every battle. I understand it being like this for the first battle, but not after an hour into the game. In one random encounter I was faced with two enemies…

Though a thumbs down, I still think this game is ok. The single reason why I can not recomend this game and also the reason why I can not keep playing it is because you have to spend Action Points to move around the map while NOT in combat. This just drags out the map and takes too long to get through each quest. The combat IS fun however. Very simple and there are some elements of strategy in play...I just can not get past the movement. If this gets fixed then I would recomend this game.…

Know what to expect (a light turn-based hack-and-slash game) and it's great :) It's been ported but there are no extra purchases or ingame store or anything. The enemies are nice and varied and actually pose a challenge. So far for me the amount of gold you find is balanced just right so you have to make choices on what skills to upgrade. The story is entertaining enough but nothing special (yet). There are possible side-quest and a main story, with random encounters during world map travel…

I had my experience with round based Games like Lufia, Final Fantasy and a lot of other older RPGs. OK lets try it then. It looks great... no 3D grafix that look unprofessionally made... everything is handpainted and in 2D. It really reminds me of old games back in the days. You recieve a lot of gold from the beginning. It's enough to upgrade your chars. I know it's a mobile port and it's a pitty that it seems as if the devs tried to hard on selling you IAP on mobile. But not here. 6 bucks…

I picked it up cheap as part of a bundle. It has nice graphics and intuitive gameplay, but altogether it's pretty uncompelling. You start as some person who has to fight a demon, and then you get more people who also have to fight demons. Fighting the demons is pretty boring. So I stopped playing. Everything just goes kinda slowly as well - it loads each turn, all the moves happen slowly, etc...

Meh, the game is so so. GENERAL INFO: Movement, attacks, or actions are based on "AP" - I assume AP stands for action points. You get two for each character per turn. You can either attack or move with those APs (or do nothing if you wish). There are some loot drops - so far, I've only seen gold and potions. It appears that improving your abilities, adding or unlocking characters costs gold. The concept isn't bad. THE GOOD: Interface is simple and easy to learn, turn based. The…

Do NOT, under any circumstances, buy this. It's not because it's a port of a mobile game. It's because it's a $9.99 port of a mobile game that is easily available for FREE on both Android an iOS. They do this because they KNOW, of course, that we'll reject any PC game with mobile-style microtransactions, paid ad removal, etc., but that's the issue here. See, with mobile, one would opt-in to paying; there's a psychological war going on between the player and developers, of course, but one…

Devils & Demons is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs. The game is a very simple "underworld" themed turn based tactical combat/RPG-lite heavily dumbed down for the mobile peasants the game was designed for. Much like the gameplay is incredibly shallow because it's not designed for PC gamers, the technical implementation is likewise deficient for many of the same reasons. From a technical perspective,…

Paid $1.00, which is close to the games value. I like destroying evil in video games, so I like it. But it is as barebones mechanically as can be. There are no items or weapons or armor. Like another reviewer said it was/is a mobile . I give it a yes only because I REALLY enjoy defeating evil..

I've won this game through Steamgifts website. Well the beginning of this hex based strategy game looks promising, many classes to unlock, world events, random events, sounds great, isn't it? Well, unfortunately only technically. I have soon discovered that general tactic for this game is "keep everyone close to each other" and that's it. Not even the best of tactics helps at some maps. On random events sometimes you can run to situations where you are vaporized before even starting your turn.…

This is a good mobile port, a little slow on the combat part but pretty good on the strategic choices like who do you level up and where do you invest your hard earned money. Also the limit of 5 potions is going to be a real problem later on when fights become hard if you don't have enough healers in your party. I had 3 and no problems beating the last boss with his insane spawning skills but if you do not have at least 2 in your party you are in for a very difficult experience. P.S. the best…

Yes, I only played 21 minutes, but I think that is enough time to give this a hearty Not Recommended. From the first cutscene I knew there would be problems. Referring to the cliche wording to denote the time period for the game, the narrator says, "Once" while the text on-screen says "A long time ago." That lack of attention to detail is a bad start. On to the gameplay. There are no tooltips to tell you what the character skills do. You have to figure it out on your own, or wait until about…

So this is a fun casual turn-based-combat game. The graphics look cool on the steam page, but if you are looking for a hard core game, then this is not for you. Mechanics are simple and your options are limited in terms of strategy and skills. That said, it's not a bad game to kill some time with. Gives you a nice break from some of the super hard games these days.

Edit: I've changed my mind. This game is so booring that I feel wrong recommending it. Original Review: This game come as close to not passing a recommendation as it gets for me. 4/10 is my rating, but with an upwards tilt for nostalgia. D&D most closely resemble the old Hero Quest boardgame (and its computer adaptions). You walk around on a small location with 2 action points per hero per turn that can be used for attack or movement. Tactics is a matter of positioning and whom to attack with…

Overall this game is very lacking. Most of the game boils down to RNG determining if you are successful and its usually not on your side. Balancing is way off. It marks how difficult a map is based on 1 to 3 skulls. So far I haven't seen any real effect on rating. I've had "very hard maps" be cake walks and "easy" maps be damn near unwinnable. Summoning units are way to powerful. There is no tactics to that. If you see one you either kill off or in 3 turn you are overrun. These things aren't…

I'm pretty positive I got this game in a bundle, lately I've been going through my 400+ Steam list of games carefuly playing all of them and rating them, that eventually lead me to stumble upon Devils and Demons. My first impression when I played it was "oh it's a nice little game", it isn't heavy on the computer, disk size or performance wise so pretty much everyone can run it and the mechanics are simple and entertaining, a nice little game, but that's all I have to say in it's favor to be…

Put some hours into it hoping to find some satisfying tactical combat and storytelling in a generic dark fantasy setting. I regret to inform you that the game actually contains slow, clunky tactical combat and minimal storytelling. The pace of progression is too slow to feel like you're accomplishing much. At least it's cheap. Pretty sure it came in a bundle.

Devils & Demons is a traditional turn-based tactical RPG that draws heavily from classic fantasy roots, delivering a methodical and deliberately paced experience centered on strategic combat and party management. Developed and published by HandyGames, the game places players in the war-torn realm of Desola, a land pushed to the brink by demonic incursions, undead armies, and ancient evils unleashed through a mysterious portal. From the outset, the tone is earnest and unapologetically…
