Damn, son, this is like Loderunner with lasers. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very entertaining indie shooter platformer. Pixelart and sound are high, and gameplay is good and fast (gamepad and keyboard). For an indie game it offers a lot of quantity and quality. I have not finished it, but I think there are six missions divided into 8 stages and a final boss. I mean, quite content. Completisters can replay to get 5 stars for each stage. Retro, well done, entertaining and cheap, especially on sale. 8 asterisks. Asteriskel rating = * * * * * * * *
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a great game. i loved the original destructivator i played 10 years ago or something and i was so happy to hear of the sequel. if you love simple arcade action this is for you
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tough retro run gun platform with some hover vehicle levels thrown in. Missions are selectable and replayable to go for high scores. Unapologetically old school simple and effective. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wqJIJhpvTc
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is absolutely phenomenal. Get it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I was young, some of my favorite computer games were the ones with tiny characters in large, busy rooms. Destructivator 2 reminds me how much I liked and still like such games. I thought the difficulty might be a little much for me, but I've been able to get through even the more intimidating stages after a few tries (on Normal difficulty). Nice, colorful visuals and good music, too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quick Description: -Destructivator 2 is retro throwback action platformer that is guaranteed to bring you back to gaming in the 90's. This game is just as brutally challenging as old school games were but there are plenty of modern quality of life improvements sprinkled throughout this gem. This is a great game for those looking to bring themselves back to the good old days of arcade platform shooters. What's Good: -Really easy to learn but there is a really high skill ceiling. This is a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I LOVE this game. I am only 2 'Sectors' (Worlds?) in, but I can already tell this is everything I hoped the game would be. Retro styled mini pixel art graphics, satisfyingly juicy explosions and debris particles, ridiculous enemy diversity, and EPIC boss battles. The gameplay is challenging, but fair. You feel rewarded as your skill improves and you successfully tackle various in level challenges. If you miss 2D action plaftormers from console eras long gone, THIS is the game for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Destructivator 2 is quite a bit unlike most everything else you see released on Steam these days. It harkens back in style to an era left mostly behind us in gaming’s storied past, but I for one, loved seeing this new passion project come to light and my attention. Gameplay itself is exceedingly simple: there’s several dozen platforming levels, in which your small green-clad man (presumably the titular Destructivator) must run around the level destroying all of the various baddies. Controls…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doesn't hold its back from the beginning and goes for retro platformer and shoot'em up action with murderous grace through semi-open levels with a lot of enemies to kill. Worth it, I enjoyed it at first glance and I definitely plan to play more of it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun mini 90's themed platformer game. Nice music, many levels, easy platforming. Worth it on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed the first freeware game in the series. And sequel didn't disappoint me. I think that the best description for the gameplay will be: fast-paced platformer with the tactical shooter elements. Graphic are simple but crisp. Music is fine. The price is cheap. Go for it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Destructivator 2 is a 2D retro pixel shooter/platformer with a 1990's sci-fi theme. There's different modes, boss fights and traditional bullet hell style gameplay. They chose to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. Resolution and controls are locked. These flaws push this game far below minimum acceptable…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is extremely under-rated for anyone who love pure action hectic games like "The Butcher". the controls are perfect, the mechanics are pretty interesting about shooting and aiming doesn't allow moves, gives me memories of old games. I slightly remember the original game and I think that game serve as an amazing successor for it. I think some of the drawbacks are in some of the enemy designs that shoot a lot of bullets with no in between which make it hard to kill (planes coming from…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I used to play the first game 10-11 years ago or so. I did not know that a second game existed. Recomended. Edit: Also buy it on switch if you have one :) The reason i do not play this often is i play it on the switch.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome 90s-style platformer. As hectic as it is brutal, this brought back very fond memories of the old Duke Nukem games. Boasts 50+ levels and at least a million ladders. Prepare to die, a lot. For more niche curation, follow me at: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/27440015-CSH-Picone/
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good simple fun. Level design is great.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have this game on another account, but I bought it again. That's how much I like it. The gameplay is simple. You can shoot and jump. There are no power-ups, but the huge variety of levels and enemies keeps things interesting. Getting a perfect rating on every level is as much about choosing the best approach as it is having good reflexes. Some experimentation is required to find the low-risk approach to some of the tricky enemies and traps. On normal difficulty, everyone can beat this game.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am hooked on the 90's retro vibe.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best gamer experience, this game has everything done.Multiple bullets ,lives, enemies will shot in you simple with the key binds,it is amazing.I love it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just getting into this game and its awesome so far. I would love to have a Dodge/Roll move added as it would add a lot to momentum and flow
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If Starship Troopers was a game. Clever levels lead you through bullet hell. Awesome 8 bit backing track perfectly matches the high tempo side scrolling shoot em up. Reminds me a bit of Super Contra on the SNES. Pretty hard but fair and fun. Defo recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice run and gun game to play while listening to something else in the background.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very interesting 2D arcade game, it seems be simple but it's pretty addictive. Lots of different enemys and the introduction of the ships give a varied game. Great music too. I hope they do a 2nd part where you could shoot below and get other weapons.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool game! Tight controls and detailed level design makes this Destructivator 2 feel difficult in the right way. If you die it feels like your fault, which is a very good thing. You know what you did wrong, and it makes you want to try again to correct your mistake. Oozing with nostalgia, if you spent the 80s/90s in arcades then this is one for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heard about this from the Run'n'Gun book. The mechanics are easy to pick up and the levels and visuals are reminiscent of old Amiga or DOS games. It's loads of jumping, dodging and shooting, a fun challenge that's rarely unfair. Some levels have spaceships to fly around in which adds a bit of variety. The real challenge is to do all the levels without getting hit. And what an amazing soundtrack, plenty of great fizzy synth riffs and chiptune/Amiga style.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite a fun arcade style game. The simple controls hide a decent amount of tactical considerations. The one big issue I had was repetition in the level design--there's a lot of variety between levels, but within a single level you'll often face pretty much identical challenges multiple times. Still, a good experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pug Fugly would benefit to make an easier mode in all of their games, so gamers can replay the game with a higher difficulty. Pug Fugly games are fun, some may say challenging, but an easier mode in Alien Death Mob and Destructivator 2 would help them sell more copies. Very responsive controls. Arcade shooter, although not twin stick. Alien Death Mob by Pug Fugly is better, cheaper, and is twin stick. Overall, a worthy pickup on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pretty neat game is quite brutal lol love the run and gun action with the neat sprite work despite the character so small you can know what is going on
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/V9dYDEZc68c Sometimes it's nice to visit the classics in gaming, the titles that may have faded from popular memory but still hold a special place in your heart for the time that you had with them. In my case, its now obscure titles for the PC like Megarace, Halloween Harry, Under a Killing Moon or Air Wolf that all bring back memories of my formative years in gaming. And recently I happened across a game that seems to amalgamated alot of the spirit of those titles, and even…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fine. Extremely simple, a little clunky, but good music and a lot of levels.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's good. Shoot bad guys, don't get killed, repeat until you get them all, go to the next level, shoot more bad guys, etc. Compared to the original, this has more environmental hazards (in some levels they're much more dangerous than enemy fire) and some shmup levels, but it feels similar, in a good way.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pure action-fueled 90's style platformer. The characters are tiny, which is really cool as it gives a larger picture of what's going on. Starts fast but it's easy to play, with simple and easy controls and good maps that don't overcomplicate.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved the original. Very glad the sequel has the same fast & precise control with added complexity & polish.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For anyone who are looking for nostalgic games, you've come to the right place. Destructivator 2 offers pure nostalgia right off that bat with its retro graphics that reminds of the good old NES days. Its fairly challenging just like the games we've had before. The controls are very straight forward. Other than the usual directional movements, you only have a button for jumping and shooting. Its that simple. Finishing a level requires you to clear all the enemies found in the stage. Your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Satisfying pick and and play action, reminds me of old shareware shooters like Biomenace Starts to get pretty tough pretty soon after the first world, but the controls and shooting are a lot of fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What is there not to be liked about this game? Fun little game! Nice intro, menu system is understandable, learning curve is easy, nice old school arcade gamestyle, understandable GUI, nice music and sound effects. Especially liking the checkpoints! Lots of stuff happening on screen, yet not too crazy so you still can see what's going on. Very likable game! I am not going to praise this game all the way into heaven, because it's another one of these platformy games.. "another one" but this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Holy cow!!! If you love retro gaming, this is the game for you! Destructivator 2 captures the very essence of what it means to be "retro"! Great pixel art, tons of action, and crazy difficulty! Unlike a lot of patty cake games today, games back in the day didn't hold your hand, give you a trophy and a popsicle, pat you on the back, and say "good job" No sir! They kicked you in the teeth, stomped you while you were down and wouldn't let up! All of that made you tougher and made it feel sooooooo…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like an updated version of Secret Agent with lasers. There's a huge variety of enemies and the level design is mostly good. Solid game. A good challenge on the default difficulty level (Hard).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mae destrucitavator 2 yn gem gwych. Mae yn atgoffa fi o gemau ar y NES, sydd yn anodd on chi eisiau mynd nol i guro'r gem achso ti gallu. Caru yr gwaith celf pixel, Hefyd yn mwynhau chwarae fe yng Nghymraeg:) Mae y cerddoriaeth yn ardderchog.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought the days of "just one more go" games was long gone. Wrong! Destructivator 2 grabs you by the wotsits and won't let go. It really is great retro fun with (I think) some really nice original touches. For example, the way the bad guys blow up. I haven't played a walking-shooting game as good as this for a very long time. Oh, and you get to fly along a bit too! Normal level is tough as nails (well for me anyway) so you are sure of a challenge. Well worth the price tag. Go on, you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loderunner vibes from this one! :) Having a blast! Found it hard to start with, but after switching to Normal level I started getting along much better. If you love platforming and blasting stuff, this is a great game for your collection :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Destructivator 2 is a must buy for everyone! Worth every penny and a game I'll be playing for a long time. It's a retro style platform shooter with a tough hero and even tougher enemies. Kill all the enemies to move onto the next mission, sounds simple, except the enemies are expecting you and they're also armed to the teeth. You can also take to a ship in certain parts of the game and fly around blowing things up! With fantastic graphics, cool soundtracks, tons of levels and that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Armed with a trusty gun and a combat suit of the purest green, we are taking the fight to the planet Zerkl, seeking revenge for all of humanity! Destructivator 2 is a great platform shooter that has a wonderful retro feel baked into it through-out. The game doesn't try and be something it's not, No upgrade system, no loot boxes, just 100% focused on overcoming obstacles and shooting enemies before they shoot you. So grab a controller and give the demo a bash. P.S. If you enjoy your game with…
