60 of 196 · most liked firstDeath to Spies: Moment of Truth is a WWII-era stealth game in which you play as a Russian agent named Semion Strogov, a man tasked with eliminating espionage-related threats to the Soviet Union. The missions that you must accomplish range anywhere from gathering intel to assassination, with the locations in which you will be inserted range from German military camps to an English hospital. The areas are varied, and you never feel like the developers ran out of ideas. The gameplay of Death to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I understand that the fans of this game come through the few negative reviews from time to time and downvote the crud outta them, so despite the fact "0 out of whatever" people found this useful, i do implore you to read it before purchasing the game. Despite the negative review, let me make something clear, if you are a fan of the hitman series, specifically of the difficulty, then yes, you will like this game quite a bit. I, did not, because the things I do not like in hitman are more…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Death to Spies: Moment of Truth is probably my favorite stealth game, next to Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and Hitman: Blood Money. Every level is incredibly unique among the seven few that there are, but the game gives you just enough tools and varied enough difficulty levels (the difference between the hard difficulty and the hardest difficulty is alone practically two seperate games) that the lack of quantity barely effects the game. Tossable, infinite distractions, with more limited more…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Russian, WWII-era Hitman. I didn't really even know anyone had ever attempted to do something like Hitman. And what a brilliant mix, a Hitman game about killing Nazis! Okay, so first off, this game ran fine (Windows 7 x64 still), in widescreen at good resolution without any effort on my part whatsoever, all I had to do was disable depth of field to get rid of some nasty textures. You can't even get most Hitman games to run in widescreen without doing all sorta funky hacks, and again, its a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just about won this game so here is my review: TLDR: 10/10 Best Stealth game series on Steam right now. You have to be a lot more cunnnig than in most of the stealth games. This is very realistic. Unlike HITMAN there is no "Body box" near every kill. You have to actually find hiding spots. The strategy is the best part of this game. It lets you choose your equiptment! (or hit the button for a recommended loadout). So basically you are pretty much open to do whatever you want withthis game.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very hard stealth game, but highly realistic and time consuming. If you require a good game which involves planning, thinking, observing and acting at the right moment this game is for you. You really need to play the first one before hand which is now really cheap and just as good! The first one has a boot camp which introduces you to the franchise and gives you all the basic controls. This one just throws you in to continue the story! It has driveable vehicles, many weapons and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really good stealth game, where you play as a spy better yet a Russian spy during World War II, the graphics are not up to speed but good for a game made in 2009, but gameplay is all that matters, i still have yet to get past the first mission i am playing on the hardest difficulty but played the first game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Death to Spies: Moment of Truth is a spy infiltration stealth action game, similar to hitman, released in 2009 on steam. A sequel of Death to Spies. It has better graphics and a more fluent gameplay compared to Death to Spies. Except for the weird tree graphics that look distorted. It's situated in world war 2, intel gathering, capturing targets, assassinating targets, rescuing targets, destroying targets, etc. Comparing to hitman, it's more punishing leaving no room for error. Each mission…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if you like the hitman games, metal gear solid, splinter cell or any other stealth game, then youll have fun with this game. it has similiar mechanics to hitman (especially blood money) disguises, stealth, assassinations, but i feel they do them better. disguises work well and are alot of fun to use. sneaking around works great too and the gunplay is pretty good. this game however has a very high difficulty curve, and can be tough at times, but fair. once you learn more about the game, it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Solid Stealth Game for only the Most Diehard Stealth Fans Death to Spies 2 is much like the original game nothing has been drastically changed, only minor tweaks, the game is still extremely hard and the focus is on disguising yourself as the enemy. There as several tweaks incuding the ability to carry a disguise in your backpack, the addition of yellow enemies whom get suspicious only if you get close. The biggest change is the disguise system where its more about getting the right…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game made me appreciate level design in Hitman games even more. Because nothing about DtS:MoT makes any logical sense whatsoever. Just a few examples. 1) I knock out an enemy and grab his uniform. Now people wearing the same uniform are totally cool with me hanging out in the office where they are working. They also do not mind me being in the toilet. But for some insane reason they want to shoot me to pieces for walking down the hallway that connects said office and toilet. 2) Enemies…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The hardest stealth game ever made (Not the best designed mind you) unintentionally that answers the age old question of what would happen if MGS 2/3, a rip off of Hitman: Blood Money and Arma had sex and also NO POLISH? You play as a peice of toilet paper (With as much personality as wood) that can be killed by anything anytime in any way by enemies who are dumb as bricks but have MASSIVE vision cones if you aren't crawling. He only has enough strength to pull the trigger everything else he…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just like hitman but instead of the modern time its the WWII time!! Coolest thing about this game is each uniform you find from the germans you are only able to get in certain places due to your rank of the soldiers uniform. For this being said you then would have to find a german officer uniform so you can get into restricted areas. Inventory system is well done and can carry backpacks to hold more items. You can also drive cars, trucks, and bikes. Using allie weapons can alarm the enemys if…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I will not reccomend this game, as most people dont have the patience this game requires, personally I think it is a great game in terms of atmosphere and enviroment, it really captures the world war 2 setting nicely, it's interesting to hear the AI speaking german and see the nazi memorbillia everywhere, this game requires a huge amount of patience to figure out how to execute the objectives and manipulate the AI pathing, The game has a handful of difficulty settings, you can go in guns…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cant give it a fair review.. But i can't get past the first damn mission because It gives literally NO explanation of controls, How the game works, How to use different things and all that. Literally chucks you into a mission and you gotta go do it without even telling you what buttons do what. I hate video game hand holding.. But if i could figure out the controls, the mechanics and what not.. I could give this a decent review. I'll go back to playing hitman until i can find out how to play…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome game! As i wrote in previous game's review, it's just WWII Hitman. In this game everything is set very classic style. And it's just perfect. Very good AI, gameplay, Beautiful & accurate atmosphere which has ambience of WWII and similar old times. (villages, castle, open ground, vehicles, trains, inner ambience & architecture etc.) This game must get good place in stealth/stealth assassination games. Very nice work!. Looking forward for sequel of this! :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic game if you like stealth!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like Hitman, buy this game. The gameplay is similar, and the graphics are better than Blood Money, but it also inherits some of it's problems. It's clunky and slow to pick up dead bodies, with no drag option, and the camera control disappears during the animation. Another issue is that when you raise the alarm, you might as well reload a previous save. There doesn't seem to by any way to recover or turn off the alarm. The AI can all see through walls to where you are and just run and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, I'd tried the first Death to Spies a while back and hated it. Some people told me "Well you should try the second one it's much better". I had to wait a couple years for the stink of the previous game to wear off and when I finally got around to playing this, the second one.... what the frick, it's a copy & paste of the previous one... so here's my copy & paste review along with a video. negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a must for any hitman blood money / contracts fan ! this game is fun to play , it require thinking and stealth , most of the levels are beutiful it seems to use the same game engine that hitman use. get it along with the first game (death to spies)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let me lead off with this: This is an amazing stealth game HOWEVER, its almost required to play the prequel first as it comes with no tutorial, a story that almost certainly only makes sense with the last games context (i never paid much attention to the story) and the difficulty, while not being impossible, is certainly higher when you compare the difficulty of the first level of its prequel to its first level. So far, i have not noticed many improvements upon the first game, although ive only…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →On a scale of Cobblestone to Dust 2 this game is humble Overpass. Play as George Soros and assassinate anybody that knows the truth about the war and money to protect your future New World Order.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You could say that this game is a WW2 version of Hitman : Blood Money with the huge world to explore on each missions. Calculate well, and you can get your target. Stealth or violence, except for a mission.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More World War 2 action, Hitman style. Better than the first D2S, I thought. A must have for everyone who likes to sneak around, stab people, and steal their clothes. Downside is that both D2S games are a little short. I'm a paranoid, slow player in stealthy games. Took me less than 20 hours each. Still, they are non-linear stealth games, which makes them rare and valuable. 9/10. Would haben einer wienerschnitzel again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You may think this review is unfair since I've played the game for exactly 18 minutes. But I'm a busy man (can you tell?) Here's what I know about this game: * You're in a field * Other people are there too and they want to shoot you * You have a very clever radar that not only tells you where people are but what their field of view is. Nice! * You're given no objective, so I guess you're expected to go find it. Damn this situational amnesia. As far as I can tell: * shooting people is right…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty much a Hitman game set during WWII. It's not as polished as the Hitman series but can still be fun to play. Considering it's and older game there isn't much hand holding going on so it can be difficult to figure out what to do sometimes. Disable the depth of field effect in options to fix texture issues.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best stealth games ever. If you are a fan of Hitman,Metal Gear or Splinter Cell this is the game four you. If you are expecting 3rd person shooter than pass, this game requires lots of patience and sneaking.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is like the last time I went to a party at some Russian friends of mine house. The Last thing that I remember is downing vodka shots and yelling "Nu, vzdrognuli!" Next thing I know it's morning, I'm bent over the end of a couch, with my pants around my ankles and a small soviet flag sticking out of my arse. This game is what happened in that time I can't remember.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tips: Turn ON vertical sync Turn OFF depth of field If new to the series, use a walkthrough for the first mission to get a hang of the game mechanics. A great hybrid of Hidden & Dangerous 2 and the Hitman series, though the shooting mechanics are a bit rough. Stealth is pretty much the only option throughout the game, so patience and trial & error are needed for each mission. Its difficulty and subtelty scratched an itch left by the Hitman series. It's still possible to beat missions that go…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Story doesn't make much sense, but the missions are badass.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is like hitman in WW2 . In the beggining you get to chose with what guns are you going to do the missions ( you get to chose a vast variety of guns froms smg to sniper rifle , you get to chose your handguns , if you take or nor grenades , mines , smoke , knifes exc .. ) The mission themself are really interresiting and long their are about 4-6 objectives in the mission with bonus side-objective mission that help you complete an objective . Personnaly i really liked the fact that a the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Warning! IF YOU DONT LIKE STEALTH, THEN DONT GET THIS! now for the stealth lovers like me, this game is a very slow paced game, taking patience and a lot of slow movement, like hitman, u can/need to get outfits off the enemies to sneak inside buildings. i don't believe i could sit here and play the game in one day.. No thats just to much, i enjoy this game alot but the missions are long (in a good way) and take effort. I rate this game up there with all the hitman and splinter cell games,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Similar to the original, although more polished and detailed. A good game just like the first one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The mechanisms (in a ludological sense) are similar to Hitman Blood Money, but in terms of the story (in a narratological sense), this game is much more lackluster in this department, adding to a bit of an immersion problem. That is, even the 1st Hitman game ever released in 2000 did better in terms of narration, character development, and story direction. This game has potential it didn't fulfil. However, to say that it does not have any good concept would be a lie. I wanted to play the game…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice spy game for anyone who loves History of WW2 it is almost like hitman 47 classic games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This sequel drops you right where the first game ended. Agent 47's Russian uncle goes through a PTSD-like dream which conjures up many of the deeds he has carried out as a SMERSH agent. Making the lack of emotion emanating from Hitman's colder-blooded protagonist all the more understandable, for continuity's sake that is... On a more serious note, Death to Spies: Moment of Truth features better graphics, slightly more comfortable gameplay mechanics, and manages to become immersive up to a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Death To Spies: Moment Of Truth pros: //fast game with modern day graphics with easy controls that moves from location A to B to C and so on cons: //some difficult battles //some difficult objectives //some lack of directions/instructions //good game Personal Suggested Purchase Price: $0.49 Or Less During Sale
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like Hitman then you will love this Graphics are okay Very many ways you can do stuff You can ride veichles so thats great :D Atleast you need to think what you doing before youre doing it I dont suggest fighting better be off sneaking or sneak killing So yes i like the game even know i havent played it much
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is old and its controls are clunky to say the least, but it delivers an espionage experience that is more about what a normal human can do (sorry Sam Fisher, you are too good to be normal). Yes, the cut scenes have nothing to do with the missions at all, but I think they can be ignored as irrelevant to gameplay. The tricky controls make gameplay challenging, since you can't just go around beating up everybody with your fists. Each mission has multiple ways of completing the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice Hitman-like game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite possibly the worst Collision detection and clunky controls I've ever experienced. If you can suffer through broken AI pathing, AI walking into walls and their heads spinning like tops and seeing/hearing you through walls and multiple floors up or down maybe this could be as enjoyable as the first game. Its so poorly done that nothing can save you from having to sink at least 2 or 3 times the amount of required time to complete a level and then the game pisses in your face by giving…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a stealth games lover, this game is absolutely great, I love such games because you are allowed to kill not only the enemies, but also innocent civillians.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simply put this game is sorta like Hitman: Blood Money in a WWII setting. This game is hard. It requires real stealth. I love the fact the the 3rd Reich symbols aren't censored. The level design is nice with interesting subject matter. The disguise system is great. You get to choose from many different items to take on a mission during your briefing. Briefings are quite complex just as your missions are. A single level can take quite a long time. I'm really looking forward to the 3rd one. I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Must-play for fans of stealth games like Hitman/Splinter Cell. It has much larger maps and more of a challenge. Note: I play it outside Steam, hence the few hours.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- Does not work on windows 10 by default. Needs downloading of extra files to work. It´s cumbersome that so many games does not work on steam but yet are sold on the platform. I probably played it on windows 7 last time In the other game released by Haggard games you can start a setupfile in the games folder to make it work on windows then by following some instructions on a Steamthread. Same sort of setupfile can be found in this games folder but instead just gives an error.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best espionage game out there , especially for WW2 fans. It was made in a different era and it shows. Absolute gold imo. Don't miss it. Better than any Hitman game imo.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I forgot I left this game on..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, I do not reccomend it to americans. The game is about a russian agent, working against the 3th reich. Its gameplay is hard, but rewarding at the same time, story is good. Great concept, even greater accomplisment.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like the original death to spies you would love this one as they basically fix everything that was wrong in the first one including the clunky control. If you want a more detail review watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ua1f1wyr_F4 Note: I played the GoG version of the game to avoid any compatibility issues as far as I can tell there's no different from the steam version.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can not recommend this game - not at all. I know it's a old game so I won't complain about the graphics, in fact it looks reasonable for it's age I guess. BUT .... the controls, the gameplay, everything is so finicky, buggy and laggy..it's actually hard to do anything else than moving. The gameplay is just...it doesn't work and it's no fun. The concept of the game is basically a WWII Hitman, which I would have LOVED if it succeeded, unfortonately - it didn't. I do not want to step on any…
