60 of 169 · most liked firstman, my childhood was basically this game. i was like 9 or 10, and the adrenaline i got from just discovering stuff was unreal. i used to play it every day, no breaks lol. specifically remember that rpg ammo anxiety... id be sweating hoping i wouldnt run out before the tanks showed up. it was so damn hard but thats what made it good. i played all the classics back then.. bf1942, desert combat, mohaa, vice city, splinter cell, mafia... loved em all. but this was something else. the gameplay and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Man I used to be scared playing this game when I was a kid. this game made me feel depended on my team which kinda made me avoid the games where I play alone for example IGI. even though I had 3 teammates with me in game but I was still scared of missions where there were tanks. I remember I used to take the game seriously and avoid enemies shots at all cost and walk slowly to make sure I dont get ambushed or killed by tanks but you know what? I dont have that feeling anymore which kinda…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A bargain bin classic! What it lacks in quality and refinement it makes up for with charm and pure fun. Sadly, the PC version lacks split-screen co-op, which is the best feature.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this growing up, If there are games that need a remaster this is one of em. Would love to see this game with a 2-4 player co-op campaign
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the classics. For framerate issue, floating bug, mouse issue we need locked 60 fps. Any framerate limiter i.e. 'Rivatuner' fixes it. #ConnorsForLife
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game need a remaster or remake.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Big Classic Game Pivotal Games bring more titles of "Conflict" for the Steam.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Give us the whole series!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is awsome, like how I remembered from when I was young. But due to the bug which makes the character float, its impossible to progress through certain missions. This happens because the game generates extremely high frame rates on modern PCs. To fix it, download RivaTuner Statistics Server which locks the game's fps to your liking (60 is recommended) - and the game will run perfectly fine. I haven't encountered any other issues in my 30 hours of play time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a nostalgic masterpiece with a broken steam version, fix it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →FIX THE DOGGONE GAME! Its a classic and we want this game to friggin work man.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →wish they would remaster all the conflict games this steam version is very glitchy
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was my favorite game in the WORLD! this game on here needs some help though, you cannot fall off ledges without having Bradley float into the sky i hope you can figure out how to fix that.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game, but the steam version is very jank. upon opening the application the intro looked a bit off, characters weren't moving and the textures were blinking. I figured this would be the only time I encounter bugs for the whole game. Unfortunately I was dead wrong. When you jump off a ledge your character will remain stuck in a frozen state for some unexplained reason, and even if your character is dropping from a helicopter or a small curb your character will do a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →was hoping to play a game from my youth... ended up getting stuck on an unpassable archway on the 2nd mission and now can't progress further. wtf.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game was my childhood :'(
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game, such a shame that it barely works anymore
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the game when I was little, the game Conflict Desert Storm 2 PS 2 we play my brother players 2 :D It was cool
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not buy this. This was a great game back in the day but it is completely broken on steam.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is amazing and it still feels like the same old game I Played when I was 4 years old. However, the game is gets glitchy sometimes and the sensitivity is weird too
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a throwback game. Played this when i was a kid. It is very clunky but thats what you enjoy about it. PS. If your character gets stuck on stairs or in the air for some random reason. Switch to another character and select your team to follow you and run away . this should fix that problem. Happens every here and there!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Childhood game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →only gigachads play
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game and the series as a whole highly deserves your attention and praise if you are a fan of squad based combat. And the AI isnt dumb as ♥♥♥♥ like in Brothers in Arms. Since this game was made pre-2010 there are some fixes you need to download in order to make this game work. Search it on pcgamingwiki. Don't let this deter you, this is a great game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Born too late to deploy to the Middle East. Born too early to deploy to the Middle East. Born just in time to deploy to the Middle East. 👍
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is almost unplayable. The movement glitches and look sensitivity alone create a myriad of obstacles to avoid in order to complete the mission intact. Game itself would be fun if it was totally revamped and remastered. Sad, because I loved this game growing up and now it's broken beyond repair.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Getting my money back, The sensitivity bug makes it unplayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wish it would support controller, this game feels absolutely awful on keyboard and mouse and the sensitivity on mouse even when turned to zero is so fast you can barely see whats happening...absolutely disappointed in this. This was my favorite game growing up, I'd play for so many hours everyday by myself or with my friends. If they fix it to where I can use a controller then I'll play it again
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved this game when it came out back in the day but this version does not seem to work. i wish they would fix it but probably will not. It is a great game that should have been done right for steam but it is broken. I cant even get through the training because the character gets stuck trying to jump down. if you want this game for the memories of playing don't bother as much as it pains me to say. I would love a true redo for this game and the others in this series because this game was so…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First ever review. I wanted to warn people NOT to buy this game. I bought this because it was £00:89 and I have happy teenage memories playing this on the GameCube and PS2.... I thought this would be a happy and cheap trip down memory lane, but I was wrong. The testers clearly didn't even bother, If you move your character down any sort of incline, HIDEOUS glitches start to happen, like your character flying up in the air, or just being totally unable to move. This same thing happens to your…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →does not work, very buggy, get stuck on parts on the map and the sensitivity is bad
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game on consoles, it simply needs no introduction. I don't know who was tasked with porting it to PC, but they did a ♥♥♥♥ job! About halfway through the second mission it becomes unplayable, a friend of mine was only able to get up to crash site mission before he was unable to continue the game, it was that bad, personally? I have no idea how he even made it that far. If this is a case of poor optimization they desperately need to address the issue, this is simply unacceptable, I cannot…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game on the original Xbox as a wee boy. I've just finally, 23 years later, finished the campaign fully and its pretty fun, but that's with a heavy dose of nostalgia probably. You play a 4-man team of either SAS or Delta operatives responding to the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. The 4 characters all are distinct roles within the fireteam: Bradley (Rifleman), Foley (Sniper), Connors (Heavy Weapons), and Jones (Explosives). You can command each member to setup position independently or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is too buggy to recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Conflict: Desert Storm occupies a distinct place in early 2000s tactical shooters, representing a moment when developers were beginning to merge squad-based strategy with more traditional third-person action. Developed by Pivotal Games and published by Square Enix, it attempts to provide a grounded depiction of special forces operations during the Gulf War. Rather than casting players as a lone super-soldier, it hands them command of a four-man squad drawn from either the British SAS or U.S.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good classic game. If you have trouble with modern os use dgvoodoo or rivatuner to lock fps and fix stuck and sensitivity issues. Sad that only first and last Conflict games are available on steam.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an awesome game for the PS2. This version being sold on steam is very glitchy to the point that it is unplayable. Very disappointed that this ancient gem is a dud. In game you are not able to decline any hill or obstacle with any momentum, otherwise the character is standing in air unable to move over the terrain. I was not able to complete basic training due to this issue, nor was I able to complete the first mission. Expecting anyone to pay money for this is absolute deception. I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not play this garbage, I know we have tons of childhood memories in this game but this PC port is nothing but a trash, there are thousands of bugs and they're not small bugs they're preventing you from playing. I do not recommend buying it, and if you really wanna play it I would say go for the PS2 version and play it via an emulator.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Needs RivaTuner to run correctly but this game is a classic. Many memories in this game. Looks a little rough around the edges nowadays but still fun to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game unplayable with glitches. When encountering changes of elevation character freezes and raises into the sky
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game but it doesn't beat playing it on xbox original lol
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a flashback to my earlier days, hard to believe this was released 22 years ago, still holds up exceptionally well, the controls are as smooth as they've always been and the commands are easy to get after some time. After playing the PS2 version endlessly I was very pleased to see this game pop up on the store, even if this is the only game out the franchise available, first played when I was 5, now I'm 23...regardless everything is exactly as I remembered it to be. Though, unlike 5 year…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Childhood Favorit Game.... and i want to play Globle conflict desert storm..
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great port that plays fine if you know how to use your brain and troubleshoot around the FPS issue. It might be hard to play if you're a helpless weenie-hut junior who can't figure things out on their own. Sadly the community discussions for this game are like 90% weenie-hut junior's.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played the hell out of this growing up.. had no idea it was on steam until today! Has a lot of issues when playing on a newer machine, but there are options out there to fix issues like your character hovering in midair, the game suddenly speeding up, etc. It sucks that one has to download weird software to cap your FPS just to play the game, but oh well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My name is Steve De Guzman. I'm sixty-one years old, Mexican-American, born outside San Antonio in 1965. My father was a mechanic who fought harder with old engines than he ever did with people. My mother worked nights cleaning office buildings and somehow still found enough energy to make breakfast every morning. We weren't poor enough to make the news, but we were poor enough that every broken appliance became a family meeting. I enlisted because I thought I knew what duty meant. I wanted…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bugs are Unreal
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →can't recommend as its quite janky on pc, sad as it was a joy to play on xbox back in the day
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TO many glitches in the game i can't walk stright on the ground it makes me fly !
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Brings back memories. I don't know how I beat this game as a kid cause its hard. Love it! Add the sequels!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Since it came out, I've always loved and enjoyed this one. Back then it was not the usual war-themed game, it was and it is still pretty engaging.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →played for 10 minutes kept getting stuck walking up stairs and off ledges
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Actually Unplayable. a complete bug fest. cant get a controller to work properly for the game. cant walk down hills without glitching and being stuck. loved this game back on PS2 and was excited to play it again, but i guess not.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is so badly optimized it was not made for this it is horrible horizontal sensitivity is slow and vertical no matter how low it is instant up and down
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love dancing Iraqis
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember this game quite fondly from the PS2 era. It's certainly better on PS2, but this is overall not the worst port in the world. It has a few problems I suppose. If you want to play through for the nostalgia, it's worth a buy. Not sure I'd recommend it for new players since it's a pretty dated games...but up to you! Pick it up on sale for sure.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Completely broken. love the og game on ps2 as a kid. was excited to play again. character freezes mid air or the whole game crashes.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is broken on steam big time
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →FIX MY FAVORITE GAME SO I MAY PLAY IT!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay, I admit... thumbs up is only for nostalgia's sake. My son and I loved this game on PS. I'm not sure what the deal is with the Steam version - it's hardly playable! OPTIONS give you the option of configuring the Keys for different actions... but then it doesn't allow you to configure the keys for different actions. LOL Then your soldier gets stuck on literally every drop off... even in basic training. You just get lodged in the air. Sometimes you can back up or side step back to solid…
