AND THAT'S JUST THE FIRST LEVEL I'll be updating the review as I play, but for the moment, is this a good game? -> Yes. It's an absolutely ridiculous odyssey bursting with personality and a pretty damn good beat'em up. (Playing Agatha Knife and MechaNika beforehand is recommended)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A side-scrolling action game where Nika from MechaNika and Agatha from Agatha Knife join forces to destroy everything that isn't cool in this world. This thrilling adventure brings together the quirky personalities and imaginative worlds of both characters, promising an exciting blend of action and humor. If you’ve played the previous games, MechaNika and Agatha Knife, and enjoyed their unique charm, distinctive storytelling, and dark humor, you will undoubtedly find this continuation of their…

It's actually pretty good, but it does have some glaring flaws that I feel are worth mentioning. Still, the game gets a lot more right than it gets wrong: Pros: - The story is phenomenal. - Tons of humor. - Excellent writing. - Very interesting characters. - Great enemy variety. - Dynamic boss fights. - Very interesting world/universe. - Very good soundtrack. -…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has quite a few flaws to it. First up, going by just the game mechanics, it's a pretty basic side scrolling brawler. Not even a particularly good one. Secondly, you spend way too much time punching ♥♥♥♥ to get "scrap" for upgrades. It gets really tedious, really quickly. Thirdly, this game was obviously made to be played with two people. There's tons more story/interaction, and Agatha is just a far more interesting/likable character than Nika all around. Which is a problem because…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →honestly, a little boring. lot of repetitive combat, not really much of anything else
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a lot of fun. I really like Nika but I like Agatha more, personally. This was a good game overall, even if some parts were pretty difficult. I'm going to have to play it through a few times to get all the endings.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of the best transitions of a world switching genres that I've ever had the pleasure of engaging in. As a huge fan of the two point and click adventures that came before this game, this game pays homage to it's past with such fine attention to detail that it's hard to not appreciate. The dialogue is quirky and superb in very humerus ways, and the character development here is fantastic. If you play the game in two player mode, you get a few extra cut scenes and A TON of extra…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game continues the story of MechaNika, changing completely the genre to a beat'em up but keeping the same narrative, dialogues and dark humour. There's variety in the levels with some puzzles, shoot'em up and platformer sections, and also some decisions you need to make that affect the gameplay and story. You can appreciate the team's effort and hard work seeing that the game has more and better graphics, animations, music and different situations than in their previous games, with great…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Colossus Down is a pretty fun beat 'em up with interesting mechanics, such as the abilities you can unlock, going into a shoot 'em up for one of the levels, solving several puzzles, or making karmic decisions. There were however, some things that were not all that fun, such as a couple of bosses, along with the karmic decisions not impacting the game as much as I would have liked it to. Still, even with those gripes, I still enjoyed the game, and I would still recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game with a great sense of humor! This plays as your usual beat'em up, but it sometimes spices up the gameplay with occassional puzzles and other genres. Gamepad is totally recommended (but that's true for almost all games). After each level, you can upgrade one of MechaNika's attacks into a special attack that costs you health (well, "overheat"), which you can restore with coolant you get by defeating enemies and destroying everything. You get infinite lives, but you can sacrifice that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Colossus Down is one of the best Beat & Up games I have played in the last few years. Great history, fun, a lot of mechanics and game feel. Do you like Beat & Up games? Purchase this game now!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent game that truly inspires to destroy all that is uncool
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great adventure from Mango protocol, nice designs great characters overall, funny story. Would heavily recommend the whole saga with Mechanika and Agatha Knife. TRY IT. Mango Protocol seguid así sois unos grandes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay was alright but heaps of unskipabble dialogs sucked all the joy. Going through them felt like a slog not only because you can't skip scenes but also because they lack creativity, repetative and don't make characters more interesting as you go through story. Second character feels like a rushed add on. When i play games in co-op i want to feel like both characters matter to a story and have meaningful dialogs. Had to drop it because the game just didn't get better
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WOW, this is intense! The devs put a lot of work in every single detail and it pays off. The feeling of smashing everything with MechaNika is very rewarding. Animations are very cool and so cinematics, the variety of backgrounds and enemies is remarkable, and overall there's a lot to unfold and enjoy in a surprisingly deep game. If you like beat'em ups is a no brainer. But even if you are not in love with the genre, if you're into dark humour and cartoonish art style you won't regret adding…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a sequel to Mecha Nika in a beat em up style, it has some funny scenes and dialogues with lots of references to anime, gaming, etc. Overall a good idea for a game, with a somewhat poor execution. Starting the game feels slow, there's no enemies, you just go forward destroying your first objective which is school, this is the classic tutorial level to get used to the controllers, but done wrong, this is a full level, it has dialogues and it's long. Your special attacks are…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love all the stuff by Mango Protocol :) Fun characters, stories, and plot twists. This one is mainly a beat-em up brawler, but with other styles of game play (shmup, platforming) to break up the repetition. The special abilities are fun to use and the entire story is a long social commentary on our current world and overall human satire. There are decision trees throughout the game meaning different outcomes and impacts. So far, one play through has taken 5 hours to get through. Have not…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The combat is too repetitive and shallow.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →freaking amazing beat-em-up
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is so fun and interesting that I'm tempted to play Mechanikka and Agatha Knife, and I hate point-and-click games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is 3x as fun with a friend and has more content with Agatha! (I used the remote play together feature) I wasn't expecting a brawler but its pretty solid, a logical progression of Nika's urge to destroy all things that aren't awesome.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely amazing Beat 'em up game i really wish there were more of these types of games around.
