60 of 188 · most liked firstThis game is currently in the Humble Choice for May 2024, and this is part of my coverage of the bundle. If you are interested in the game and it's before June 4th, 2024, consider picking up the game as part of the current monthly bundle. This is great as long as you don’t know one fact. Bravery and Greed feels like a Beat ‘Em Up. It allows up to four players to play couch co-op or online and players will fight through five levels exploring randomly generated areas, and beating four bosses,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The negative reviews are largely based around "limited content," but why are people so eager for a game to be yet another new job, where you need to grind for 10,000 hours before you're allowed to have any fun? Many comments about how "easy" the game is as well, but it provides a pretty substantially number of modifiers to make the game more difficult if you desire. This is short and to the point. It does what it does well enough, it has good graphics, audio, and music. The controls are solid.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8/10 + 4 different classes to play as + online + up to 4 player local co-op + pvp + pve adventure + works on windows 7
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a real hidden gem. Feels like Gauntlet as a platformer but with the addition of roguelite elements. Also, it seems pretty clear that the developers are fighting game fans with some of the mechanics in this game (Also, their name is Rekka Games, so go figure...)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i understand why the reviews are so bad it may not be a bad game but the maps are always the same there is no random generation and the monsters also seem to have fixed spawns each run meaning the only difference in ur runs are the items u find, its not a roguelike just a beat em up with unlocks its also very short, not worth full price
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The combat is not very fun, very spammy and surface level. Roguelike items are not interesting and don't add a lot.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →GOATED GAME TO PLAY WITH MY GOATED WIFE RAHHHHHHHHHHH
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, not worth the money, unless maybe you just want to have some fun in couch coop every once in a while when your friends are over. Game has 4 classes: Rogue, Mage, Warrior and Amazon or whatever it's called. The Rogue has a VERY short range attack and a bow that is often just useless. His attack combo locks him in place and often leaves him in vulnerable positions, so using it is very risky. Got to level 4 with him on the 1st try. The Mage has a slightly longer range attack, can summon…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried my damnedest to enjoy this game. I did. But it just shoots itself in the foot constantly. "This game is best experienced on a controller" isn't an excuse to make the keyboard controls so bad that I remapped all of them before leaving the tutorial. The combat is poor and all of your movement/defense options are locked behind item drops. The movement is dull and your options for attacks are extremely limited, frequently having one or two moves that define a character to spam and little…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So it's a beat-em-up platformer with a bit of roguelike sprinkled on top, and four classes to pick from - which, if you've ever played Dungeons & Dragons, basically means you and three mates arguing about who gets to be the one who heals while everyone secretly wants to be the one who hits things. There's online play, there's couch co-op for up to four, there's PvP for when you've run out of monsters and fancy stabbing your friends instead, and there's a proper PvE adventure for the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a good example of how not to do rogue-like progression correctly. You unlock more item in the drop table as you level up, but that only means it becomes harder to get what you need. Items have random stats too, which makes it even harder. The only customisation are the cards you can enable/disable before the run. Combat animation are done right and fluid at least, but since there are no customisation, you are stuck with the same moveset for the entire time you play the game. Wizard…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played mainly on my wifes steam but heres the overview: - Smash bros like combat (directional attacks split into normal and specials) - roguelike elements (tarot cards which give buffs or debuffs on run, some are purposely hard with the benefit of additional gold) - procedurally generated dungeons - items with buffs and sometimes debuffs (some items give elemental damage forms which can also damage you and your allies) - perk system where you choose 1 of 4 trees of perks -both local and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bravery and Greed is a very simple roguelite which looks incredible at the start but slowly and steadily reveals its flaws the more you play. The pros: - The art style and the overall look of the game is superb. A lot of the times I was impressed with both the design and the animations of several bosses and enemies and each zone feels like it was properly taken care of, no area was rushed and it clearly shows that the visual artists put in a lot of effort into it. - The presence of coop bring…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's a slew of unfixed bugs, such as doors not opening, chests that won't open for the entire run, and other things. I'm afraid this game is a bogus.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bravery and Greed is a fun and inventive game that feels a little underdeveloped in places. The cooperative play is excellent, but the abundance of pointless gear, the limited number of bosses, and the somewhat confusing combat presentation hold it back. Even so, it’s still a great experience to share with friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fun 'til you realize it's bad and can't refund it. - The only good thing about this game is that the classes are unique and feel different to play, neato burrito. That's what burns the refund window. - Then you realize none of the items you're unlocking change the way you play at all, and in a roguelike that's a HUGE problem because it makes every run feel the same. - The advertised "Robust Combat System" (lol) is a joke. Mash attack with rare exceptions, that's it. There are…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Playing with two players coop. Too hard, not rewarding. Frustrating, rather. Feels like it was designed with at least three players in mind. We always die in the boss part with its HP either half or nearly-dead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good but hard. And not just hard. but hard hard. Like hard hard hard.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Verdict 👍 Recommended (for the right crowd) Not a game for me. I played about 10 minutes and that was enough — but I can see why co-op brawler/roguelite fans would enjoy it, so I still recommend it. Quick signals 💸 Value: ✅ "That'll do, pig. That'll do." 🖥️ Requirements: ✅ Minimum 🎨 Graphics: ✅ Acceptable ⏱️ Length: ✅ 2–5 hours 📖 Story: ✅ None 🎮 Difficulty: ✅ Simple / Easy to learn, hard to master 🐛 Bugs: ✅ Perfect Why I am not the target audience - The core loop did not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very fun and simple till you unlock the cards then using them all becomes very chaotic and challenging!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of my favorite games. It's fairly simple on the surface, but the characters are all pretty unique and the game has a lot to give under the hood.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You can pet your wolves, instant 10 out of 10, would pet animals in every game if i could
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fighting is too fast and sort of really bad
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →barely any content. ran through the game 1st try. wasted money
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would love to give it a positive review. I like the ideas a lot of the monsters and 100% the look of everything. It is so nice and charming. But I hate how some things work. The chacram of the female warrior hurts you ig oyu dont look in the direction you threw it? Great always easy to keep an eye out after you throw it andf stand still in a lot of enemies. Mage you expect some cool spells nope you get hit with a staff and summon a thiung you HAVE TO CONTROL your self. and it is giga…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really disliked how poor the controls felt and it ruined the game for me. 1. There's a noticeable input lag no matter what control scheme you use. 2. There's no "travel" to the attacks so if you're trapped in a 4-hit combo and the enemies move, you're stuck doing the attack in the same space as when you started. You can not cancel or move. 3. Enemies (including bosses) will hide in traps forcing you to damage yourself to get them. It sucks.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bravery and Greed is a beat 'em up roguelite game with co-op for up to 4 players. The goal is to find the Dwarf Sky Fortress, where A LOT OF GOLD is hidden! To open the doors to the fortress, you need to find four runes: Life, Order, Chaos, and Darkness. The game is simple to play, with no issues with controls at all. In each run, by killing enemies, you gain gold, which can be spent on items and potions in special locations throughout the run. After death, all your gold fills a progress bar,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best part of this game that I admire is that although the game is specifically designed for multiplayer, you can still pleasantly play it alone. The game provides you with various types of NPCs that will help you along with your journey each run. Moreover, as long as you know the movements of the bosses, you can perfectly fight 1 vs 1 with them. Honestly, the game is, just like other people have said, best with friends. However, having a friend(s) enjoying this game together with you is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Bravery and Greed" is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This Nintendo Switch game was designed for handheld gaming appliances instead of PC, but has had a lot of effort put into some elements of the background design. Unfortunately, the technical implementation, graphics etc were phoned in, they couldn't work out how to do 3D graphics and they couldn't afford an artist so it's pixelcrap.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very Fun. Especially with friends. High replay value! Wish they had more characters though
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Co-op Dead Cells with simplified mechanics but excellent random level generation. Really fun if you get a good build/run going, and surprisingly deep customization once you get everything figured out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's very good! Varied enough enemies, good classed, and quite a lot of possible builds. Sadly, it suffers from the classic disease that all the cool gear is locked behing a "playwall" longer than I am willing to play it. A bug I found is that when I stopped playing and came back the next day, I tried to continue a run and the game bugged completely. Some doors would not open when killing all enemies, the chests would not drop loot, it was strange, but that's the only bug I located.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Couldn't even keep me entertained for an hour, completely misses the mark with it's mechanics, controls are clunky and unnatural (am I playing a flash game in 2006 like seriously keyboard over WASD?) and the worst part is it's just so boring. No real story or anything to work towards except the card system. This isn't a rogue like, it's a beat em up with a few randomly generated items.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The map generation is boring. All the hallways have the same empty feel. The traps are rudimentary and tedious. The enemy encounters have no pageantry. You can't tell why any particular monster is a threat, but they all want to close distance with you and pressure you anyway. The action is is too fast. It's hard to tell if you're even doing anything correctly. The dodge roll moves you too far. You lose opportunities to follow attack because of rolling away. The item graphics are tiny, the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →B&G came at the right time as I was looking for the next co-op game to play. It delivers most of what is expected from it with a bit of a twist. It’s a roguelite which comes with random generated levels, equipment and perks. There are 4 main dungeons with a shorter fifth dungeon focused on the last boss you will be fighting. There are also 4 classes to pick from (attacker, defender, mage and rogue) each with their own moves and specials. So far it sounds typical. What makes it stand out is the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls are very bad i cant in my heart leave a bad review cause people who can see past that will 100% enjoy the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gravery & Breed
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked it. If you know your limits then this game can help.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, specially on multiplayer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This roguelite dungeon brawler nails fast-paced, hack-and-slash combat. The four distinct classes—Rogue, Warrior, Wizard, and Amazon—offer diverse playstyles. My runs with the Amazon’s heavy-hitting sword and chakram were a blast. The pixel art pops with vibrant charm, and the 2.5D environments add depth to each dungeon.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think this game is solid. It's short sweet and to the point. As of right now me and my friend got the game for $7 on sale, that said it's normal price point seems fine to me. Some of the comments seemed focused on the length but not every game needs to be a 40 hour game, especially when you're spending $10ish dollars. We got through a night of the game and just barely failed the third dungeon. I see enough variety that we may go for 2 or 3 more sessions to get through every and that feels…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring in single player. NEED to play coop. We got to the boss in level 5 twice, but failed and now stopped playing. Difficulty varies vastly towards the end. Why in level 5 can't you cancle the boss room selection? I continued to press down to jump down and just went in, no chance to get the food. Annoying. We faced a handful of glitches. Lacks good music for some atmosphere.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun for a simple beat em up roguelike. Although it would be nice to be able the check stats in game and be able to know what certain stats do such as luck for example. In addition it would be nice if items were more clearly categorized such as what a spirit type equipment even is.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the art style! Played online with randoms as soon as I started and it wasn't too difficult to figure out and started having fun right away. Nobody wants to read a guide for a video game. Let's just jump right in!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my absolute favorite game to play together with friends. I really don't understand why this game isn't more popular. Best roguelite dungeon crawler out right now!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The combat is bad. Even though this is a beat em up, there is STAMINA when even doing normal attacks. Some attack strings leave you airborne making the combo not recommended to use since you can't dodge midair and there always will be an enemy who will hit you because you can't dodge midair. Also once you pick a category, you're dedicated and stuck to upgrades relating to that category, making the players pick roles and/or specialty such as pure damage, survivability, self utility, or statuses.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You can pet the wolves. Enough to buy the game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice game for anyone who wants to enjoy a good roguelike without any special mechanics or groundbreaking innovations. I’d give it a 6/10 if played solo. I’m sure it’s worth a 7 or 8/10 when played with friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun rouge like game. Cards in game changes up how each run feels. Each run is unique with different type of equipment effects.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →weird clunky camera and combat could be fun in coop but those were deal breakers for me
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not to be recomended. Horrible controls. Mouse always leaves the screen, no screen locck. Only on keyboard it really sucks. Commands get chained, so if you spam to much you execute all comands and canot interupt. Complely luck based, no items, no healing when you have bad lucck.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish there was a score rating to put a number but since I have a binary choice, I'm gonna lean towards not recommended unless you get it at a discount and/or have a friend to play with. - I haven't played far enough to figure out if there will be an option to re-roll perks and gear you find but so far I don't see one so RNG can really screw you up sometimes. - The shopkeepers in this game have very limited items to offer - You can rescue followers in the dungeon to aid you but they're…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played it solo, 100%ed. Here mage is more of a summoner. Cool if you want to play Warlock in Dota 2, but in 2D. Your class and your "path" make an interesting combo, so it's like 16 characters. Life path is all about regeneration, death path is vampirism, chaos is about dealing damage in spite being hurt (some perks amplifying damage the less hp you have) and order is about being stronger the more hp you have.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well put together 10/10 easy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really, really like the vibes. It's a metroidvania(?) rougelike, that supports up to 4 players, the combat feels nice, though the dodge is sometimes a bit clunky. The different characters have their quirks and uses, and the different systems, like arcana and deities spice up each run.
