The blending of elements from different genres made for an interesting experience, and the platforming and combat were solid! I enjoyed exploring the areas as well, and the art style was cool! It was a fun time!
unlabelledView post →My first impressions of Blue Fire are: it's really cool! The game is a 3D platformer with a heavy emphasis on combat, both the platforming and combat are fast paced, satisfying, and a ton of fun! The game also incorporates mechanics from the Metroidvania and Soulslike genres, it's a blast so far!
unlabelledView post →Blue Fire has so many areas in the game that look absolutely incredible 🥹 they did an amazing job with creating the environments! I love this spot that's near the beginning of the game, the landscape has this menacing appearance to it, but it's also beautiful at the same time! It's really well done!
unlabelledView post →In terms of the vibe of Blue Fire, it's unique! The game has an ominous air to it, and the OST and looming environments help create this atmosphere! There's also a stillness that can be felt at points while playing the game, it's intriguing! The art style is cool as well, it's a well crafted vibe!
unlabelledView post →The platforming in Blue Fire is really good! The game has a ton of segments that require precision platforming, it makes these segments challenging and super satisfying when you clear them! The controls are solid as well, it makes the platforming feel fantastic! It's a really fun part of this game!
unlabelledView post →The next game that I'll be playing is Blue Fire! ngl I've seen a bit about this game, and it appears to be a platformer with an emphasis on combat! I've seen a few screenshots as well, and the graphics looked cool! I don't know anything specific about how the game plays, but I'm excited to play it!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game feels like it doesn't actually know what it wants to be. It has an inventory system where you replace your weapon and armor with better ones, but it's barebones and makes you wonder why it exists. It has some kind of spell system where you can exchange monster drops for higher max mana, but you only really get two abilities that use this bar, and only one of them is actually useful, while the other one doesn't scale, so it becomes obsolete instantly. The combat is simplistic and a bit…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game lacks QoL and polish that most modern games have. I dropped it pretty quickly. Here's a list of what I can remember: Controller settings for xbox controller are unnatural. In most games "B" is used to go back in menu, not "Y". And "Y" is used to interact with objects, instead of "B". It's also a bit annoying that the same key is used for shield and to interact with ladders, so sometimes I've used shield (which depletes mana) instead of interacting. Some platforming challenges had this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have mixed opinions about this game. Blue Fire starts out promising with it's great soundtrack and charming (although simplistic) visuals. To summarize this game, it's kind of like Hollow Knight in third dimensions. It's great to see more developers attempt a 3D Metroidvania style of game. It sounds like an instant winner and I should be in love with this game. While there a great ideas throughout this game, unfortunately the execution leaves a lot to be desired. The platforming for one I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Painfully underrated game, play Blue Fire people! While there are some surface level Dark Souls inspirations, particularly in the way the currency and bonfires work. The game is a platformer at heart with some smaller Zelda-type dungeons and some amazing Mario Sunshine fluddless levels called voids. While the combat is there and it has a few boss fights. It is not the main focus and is easy enough that it doesn't hinder the enjoyment, since combat is by far the weakest aspect of the game.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Combat is very basic as far as I have experienced. Platforming is fine I guess. I got softlock I can't access a gate cause I don't have a specific key but can't go back up because I intentionally fall to get to that area. Aside from that the level is so confusing and they chose not to have a freaking map in the game. Bad design.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favorite indies is definitely this #BlueFire #Game It's a 3D #Platformer with extremely lovely overall aesthetic And so if you haven't seen it yet, I do recommend playing it Feel free to check out my #Completionist #LetsPlay of that: www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-a3...
unlabelledView post →Blue Fire is the most refreshing platformer I have played in a while! A decent challenge that relies on creative thinking and problem solving, not just precise mastery of the mechanics. Definitely recommend if you're a fan of the genre!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the bar used to be really low back in the days if this game managed to rack up about 2k positive reviews. this is by far the second time when steam reviews let me down combat sucks. platforming sucks a bit less but feels awkward and unfun. there is some story going on apparently? but it's very basic and generic, i didn't really care lol don't think i'll ever play this again, i wish i could refund this lmao
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mixed feeling about this one Regarding the positives, the platforming feels good and sometimes offers worthwhile rewards, the character you play as is some adorable mini reaper dude, and the soundracks are beautiful. ALSO YOU CAN HIDE YOURSELF IN CHESTS Unfortunately, the combat is not cutting it for me. Aerials feel unreliable in whether they will connect or not, parries are there but don't feel rewarding, all magic you get is just a single hitscan fireball that lacks impact... The…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I only recommend if you like 3D platformers - The platforming was vey fun and challenging, late game you get a lot of added things that make movement very fun. - If you want combat, this is not the game, the only somewhat challenging enemy is the final boss and even then, not very difficult at all. -There are characters and a story but I found it too vague for me to connect to.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Has some potential, but is seriously unfinished. The menus suck, the UI is missing displays for the amount of some currencies. All in all feels more like a student project with unexpected amounts of content than a product I'd want to pay 10€ for.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sorry, but this is horrible, for 2025. For 2000 it might've been something. The combat is horrible, the movement feels very weird, sometimes you're like a magnet, other times you slide around like you're on ice. Horrible game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game definitely has potential to be a very great game in my eyes it just lacks the step beyond in each area. However it does fine for what it wants to be. Its lacking balance in its platforming, combat and it certainly doesn’t make it up with its story or the depth of it but it really doesn’t need to, for what its supposed to be its a fine metroidvania. At least that’s how i would describe my experience i had with the game in a few sentences. The game has some issues don’t get me…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1. this game needs a map 2. the platform designs are some of the worst designs ive seen in any platformer game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tomorrow’s episode will cover the 3D platformer Blue Fire, a truly strange but also delightful game. Check it in your podcacther tomorrow morning!
unlabelledView post →Zelda's Half-Brother This game, a mix of adventure, platforming, and a light slasher, with a definite Dark Souls vibe (you lose all local currency at a certain death spot, and you can only get back there from the last specific save statue), gives off pretty mixed feelings. On one hand, it lures you in with the promise of an exciting journey: the player sets out on an extraordinary adventure across the ruined kingdom of Halfshadow, discovering hidden secrets of long-forgotten lands. Exploring…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just didn't have a lot of fun with it, puzzles and progression were very boring/not entertaining for me. Just not my cup of tea. ╮(╯_╰)╭
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly wasn't sure about this game at first, I put it down for a while after I got through the sewers / boiler room area and made it to the main hub area. Really glad I picked it back up though because it really picks up from there. Once you unlock more abilities and spend some time with the mechanics, the seemingly large and spaced out platforming makes a lot more sense and everything feels fluid. Reminded me a lot of a Gamecube game called i-ninja. Highly recommended
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I dont know... For a game very centered around jumping puzles, the jumping puzzles feel bad.. hard to control, hard to judge distance both in height and distance.. just super frustrating..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not buy this game anywhere except steam, the publishers will take away your game key without warning if you do. I think that's a case of a greedy publisher, since it only happens if your key didn't come directly through Steam from what I've found. It's pathetic, shallow and really leaves a terrible taste in my mouth.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →gave it a shot but for a platformer the controls are so narrow it makes even simple jumps a chore. it's like you can only run at a 15 degree angle from any 90 degree direction which is beyond irritating. the view is ridiculously low and autocorrects to the strange angle as well, making it so incredibly obnoxious to see anything or gauge anything. couldn't stand it after a few minutes
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the absolutely fantastic game Blue Fire is on sale on Nintendo Switch for only $3.99. You should get it! It's like the exploration of The Legend of Zelda or Metroid Prime mixed with the platforming of Mario and the combat of Hollow Knight & Zelda. www.nintendo.com/us/store/pro...
unlabelledView post →This game is a mixture of Hollow Knight and Zelda. Like hollow knight, you are exploring a ruined kingdom. There's not much story and the lore is left intentionally vague. You get hints of the world but it never fully forms. That being said, the characters are fun and provide enough life to make the world seemed lived in. The controls are tight which is the most important part of a 3D platformer. It's fun to move to wall jump, dash, and attack. At first you think it will have you explore…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well. it's kind of OK, the little squishy, jiggly, gummy, blobby squeaky guys called ONOPS are very, very cute (I pushed one off a cliff to get myself a free house), and the flute ones make funny sounds when you hit them while they are playing their instruments Other than torturing the little guys and some voids (isolated challenge maps), there is little in this game that makes it entertaining. The world is bland, even eerily bland, bordering on liminal type shet. There are big locations,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just bought a cool looking game on sale that so far seems kinda like a 3D Hollow Knight but way more forgiving lol, its called Blue Fire and its pretty fun so far! I'd not come across it before, anyone else played it?
unlabelledView post →Blue fire is an interesting time I picked up off of a recommend from a youtuber. On the one hand, it does have some legitimately good 3D platforming, especially in the endgame DLC. The problem is, that is all it has. The visuals are flat, the combat is annoying (with bossfights that force you to actually engage with it) and the story is complete junk (you can come up with a summary of how the entire plot off of the first 10 minutes if you've played a game before). Exploration is also largely a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Blue Fire This one is also a real comfort game for me. You control a spirit with two blades as you attempt to free an enormous castle from a curse. It is a 3D platform with floaty physics and some soulslike combat. The freedom of exploration is stunning and it just feels great to play!

unlabelledView post →This game is a Mario-Metroid Hybrid that takes place in a Zelda world. 8/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Blue Fire, developed by Robi Studios and published by Graffiti Games, is an atmospheric action-platformer that blends precise movement with open-ended exploration, creating an experience that feels both familiar and distinct. Set in the crumbling world of Penumbra, players take control of a silent, masked protagonist navigating a kingdom consumed by darkness. The game wastes little time with exposition, instead relying on environmental storytelling and scattered NPC interactions to establish…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short and sweet platformer, at its best when it focuses on that instead of the combat which was kinda lackluster. Ultimately though a really enjoyable little indie, heavy Zelda inspiration, but can feel Mario's influence there as well
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game got me hooked! the vibes the gameplay, is just on point, if you're not playing it yet you're missing out
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Btw, Blue Fire is kinda an amazing little game. Whole game is built like a series of interconnected dungeons with excellent level design and platforming. Only been playing for a day but I’m going to be sinking so many hours into this game. 🔥🔥🔥
unlabelledView post →A pretty little platformer with rudimentary combat, tight controls, and precise jumps that are way easier to land than you'd think. It's not perfect, but I enjoyed my time with it, and I'd recommend it (on >=50% sale) to anyone who enjoys 3D platformers that demand precision but are not hard enough that you'll actually get stuck for more than a few minutes. For those who want something more thorough, keep reading. The platforming of Blue Fire begins as a series of jumps, dashes, air-dashes,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's the kind of game I'd only play if I had nothing else and just wanted to pass the time. It's a mishmash of features from different games. Exhibit #1: I upgraded mana countless times, but I never used it. Exhibit #2: I got a key that unlocked a door which only had behind it another key for another door.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too many poor game design choices
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →PROS + Cute art style + Can tell devs put a lot of love into it CONS - No idea where to go - Camera always starts you facing the wrong direction... which doesn't help with where to go. - Clunky floaty controls. - Combat feels pointless. - I am not a big platforming fan, so maybe it was just me, but the platforming felt jank.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unbelievably jank. A little bit Zelda, a little bit Prince of Persia (specifically the 2003-2005 trilogy), with just a hint of 'ruined kingdom' Dark Souls mood. Lots of platforming but It's imprecise and feels sloppy to play - as the player you feel like you're making something work that is threatening to break down on you at any time. Combat feels pointless and lacks any challenge. You unlock additional hearts (Zelda) and I guess you can parry (Souls) but it's all extremely half-assed. The…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I went in expecting nothing and 100%ed the game over a weekend. Its sstyledidnt grab me at first, but once I saw that there were indeed real platforming challenges, I was stoked to continue. I was also turned off by the lack of a map initially, but I learned the layout well enough while playing that I was rarely lost.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the Blue Fire, is the Metroidvania Hack n Slash Souls like game and it was fun to play the game, and also if you find this game i recommend you play the Blue Fire right now because it just great
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love Metroidvanias, particularly ones that elevate the sense of speed one feels as their abilities progress. You go from running, to wall-running, to air-dashing, to triple jumping, to outright blasting from room to room. That's Blue Fire in a 3D nutshell - it's a game that clearly wears its inspirations on its sleeves, and synthesizes them together in an imperfect way, but it combined well together for an experience that I binged and enjoyed more than many recent Steam Deck experiences.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →4.8/10 it has some charm... its a complete game without performance issues that someone put some care into and I respect that. However, its just not something I would choose to play again if I had the choice to play it again for the first time. -Quick Thoughts- I've never played Zelda games so I understand the art direction may be going for something I don't appreciate, but game is kinda butt ugly imo. Functionally, it make exploration annoying a lot of the time because the lack of visual flair…

unlabelledView post →I beat Blue Fire (on Steam), took ~11 hours to 100% game and DLC Imagine Hollow Knight with less budget, 3D, has Mario Sunshine secret platforming levels and some Zelda dungeons. You get this. Sometimes it feels like the game doesn't know what it wants to be, but it was still fun. #SnaccHBGreview

unlabelledView post →Decent platformer, but not much more. The story is mysterious and stays that way throughout the game. There are like 10 different enemies in the whole game excluding bosses, and some of them are little more than palette swaps. The areas seem interesting and are fun to traverse through once you get some abilities. Most treasures you find however is ore to purchase bigger bags and abilities. The robes you can find or buy are just palette swaps for your character. Having an inventory for…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Feels like watered down 3d Hollow Knight, combat is super easy even on the hardest difficulty, and all the movement upgrades the game gives you make it so that you can just skip most of the most difficult platforming with just a dash jump. Some things exist for no reason, there's a ranged spell but it has no upgrades no changes and has little use when mashing is so much better. There's also a charged attack but the most use I got out of it was as a height increase with the right spirit making…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I Simply love this. Having grown up in the PS2 era where games like these were not a rarity and not everything was slop , i love what this game does . Not too long , exploration-based , a bit of platforming , nothing holding your hand ,with decent mechanics and good artstyle . Only complaint is that combat is a bit too simple , but I would still take this over any combat-centered action rpg statsslopper that uses Invincible Parries or Dodges as it's central combat mechanic and little…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty decent adventure/platformer game that could be described as a Zelda-like Few cons - Awfully designed final boss, so much so that I didn’t even finish the fight, and a few janky enemies that can shoot through walls causing extreme frustration trying to platform but would recommend to someone looking for something Zelda like
