If the title of the game isn't a big enough clue, spoilers: it all happens in a dream. You play as a woman that keeps on waking up in a strange house. After narrowly escaping a monster chasing you down a really long hallway, you end up in the kitchen. There, an older woman asks you to go get her young daughter back for dinner. You find her at the playground,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →POSITIVE POINTS: - The game has a really beautiful pixel art style. - It is set in Northeast Brazil in the 90s, giving it a unique touch. - The price is really low, for the experience offered and its duration (about 4-5 hours!). - The dubbing is in Brazilian (this may come as a shock to some, but take it from me: you'll get used to it and end up enjoying it), and it's outstanding. - The story is interesting and captivating... NEGATIVE POINTS: - ...although at times it can be confusing. - It…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♫maybeimsoemotional~♫ ahem sorry I'm digressing. Point and click experience that sets in Brazil's northwest. Hmmm if it's set in Brazil then why the heck did I play it in english and not portuguese...porra do caralhuuu!...never mind I guess sometimes my neurospicy brain doesn't reason very well. I've been saddled with this burden, hang on a sec, I need to take my meds... ... Okay, okay this time for sure. But, dude, I'm still out on weather this whole time I was dreaming or if that series of…

You wake up alone in a bedroom. You get up and walk out the door. Everything and everyone looks unfamiliar to you. You can’t remember where you are. You’re scared, and your anxiety is rising. Is this even real? Asleep is a psychological horror indie game. There are plans for four chapters, but there is no set date at the moment. It has been…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →muito lindo ver jogos brasileiros saindo, especialmente com esse nível de qualidade. inteiramente dublado, pixel art linda e um carinho enorme pelo nosso brasilzão. ansioso pelos próximos capítulos
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If I had to sum this whole review up in one word, it would be "underwhelming". There's a lot of things that indicate that this could have been an interesting world, an interesting adventure. But it's over before it even gets interesting. There's just no substance here. I took about 3 hours to play from start to finish, and I took my time. I was hoping for a lot more. Still, it was only $7. I played the demo quite some time ago, and even replayed it more recently. I thought it was quite decent,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't wait for the second chapter of "Asleep"! Pros: - Intriguing story that leaves me interested in filling in the blanks - Fun mechanics that had their challenges to solve - Good puzzles, good clues - Beautiful artwork and point-n-click graphics - Spooky moments Pro / Con (depending on who you are) - Not too spooky that you're freaking out and jam buttons, or find the challenge impossible Cons: - There isn't much of a challenge when it comes to health / resource…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an amazing game that I recommend to all fans of psychological horror.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun! Love the pixel art aesthetics... but I do think I need new underwear :)) I think some people don't realize that this is an EPISODIC game... this is just Act 1, which amounts to about 3hs of gameplay. Still well worth it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not very original with darkness mechanic, school setting, and creatures, but still a decent first entry. The story follows a young girl who’s dealing with strange nightmares. She has trouble recognizing what is real and what is part of the other world, so you can’t always trust what you see. Although the game can be played as a point-and-click adventure with a mouse, it is much easier to use a gamepad. When you use a mouse, the game does not highlight or label important spots when you move…

unlabelledView post →Asleep - A pixel graphic point-and-click horror game with puzzle elements that set in Brazil. The game's storyline is quite mysterious. This game reminds me of Alan Wake and Noxia Somnia. You can play using only the mouse. There are three types of enemies in the game: the first type reacts to you when your flashlight is on or if you make noise, the second type is scared of light, and the third type appears when your sanity level drops. Sanity is restored in rooms with light and by taking pills…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's great to see a horror game set in Brazil and a group of devs invested in fixing and improving their work, yet I still need to mention some caveats before recommending it. Asleep doesn’t feel like an exploration game, despite having elements of the genre. I was excited by the size of the city and the many houses to explore, until I realized it’s only possible to get into two of them. Supplies in this game are also practically unnecessary. I didn't use any during my replay and didn’t die…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You may leave Silent Hill; but Silent Hill will not leave you. This is a side-scrolling horror game with a ton of similarities to Silent Hill, from the ambient, sound effects, music, resource management, light/darkness mechanics, safe rooms, "upside down" realities, and what not, with the added bonus of taking place in Nordeste, Brazil! It kept me hooked from start to finish, and I can't wait for future Acts to be released to delve deeper into it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wonderful Horror puzzle game with so much love and care put into it. I adore the art style and presentation. While not super difficult it is definitely a brain teaser in certain places. I just wish i could skip through the warnings/recommendations that pop up when you relaunch the game, I don't need to see them more than once. Loved seeing all the Brasil references too :D Looking forward to Asleep Ato 2-3 when they come out. Definitely recommend everyone try this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Asleep Act 1 & 2 delivers an experience that truly balances psychological tension, deep narrative and immersive world-building. The storyline is exceptionally well-crafted and the pacing keeps you hooked from start to finish. What makes Asleep even more special is its clear Brazilian identity. The cultural references, specially on act 2, the environments and subtle details give it a unique flavor that sets it apart from typical indie horror games. It proudly embraces its roots without…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am absolutely Blown Away by how good this game is! I bought this cuz it was on sale and didn't think much of it then when I actually played it I fell in love with it instantly! The atmosphere, the voice acting, the plot everything is perfect. It's basically a 2d Silent Hill game but really really good to the point where it really feels like it said its own thing and really takes inspiration from Silent Hill more than just straight-up copies it. I actually would have prefer Silent Hill games…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A small indie horror game that wears it's inspirations in its sleeve and channels them well. Only gripe is there's some collision issues that made the final sequence require multiple reloading of saves.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is gonna be a complicated review lol. I really wish there was like a middle rating instead of yes or no. So I'm gonna do a pros and cons list, and I really hope that you are seeing this developer, so that maybe you can adjust things? Pros: - cool saving system - neat mirror travel - good puzzles - visually looks good Cons: - lots of movement bugs - character gets stuck on things - awkward controls - annoying moments trying to avoid enemies - slightly rough english voice acting (i get it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was unable to play. It spams input controls despite there being no input, and even turning off all input related devices to see does not change. Then it just randomly changed the language to Portuguese and will not accept any input to change the language again. There was some other bugs leading up from the short time I got to play, but ultimately this is a gamble if you even get the game to work.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The atmosphere of this game is very intense, simple graphics but they paid attention to details. The dialogs are also immersive.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was quite intrigued when I played the demo last year at Next Fest. They've very much improved upon it since. Now there's voice over work which I applaud. The atmosphere is great and the animations are as well. Lookin forward to seein' how much the story unfolds. Definitely worth the price. Gameplay Impressions: https://youtu.be/LKTZuDh6YA0

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool short horror game. Lock-and-key puzzles, simple point and click interactions, good sound design, and interesting monster designs - but few variations. Act 2 looks promising!

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Asleep – Ato 1, developed by Black Hole Games and published by Nuuvem, is a deeply atmospheric psychological horror adventure that masterfully blends narrative depth with immersive gameplay. Set against the haunting backdrop of the Brazilian Northeast in the 1990s, the game introduces players to Ana Lúcia, a young woman trapped between reality and a nightmarish subconscious world. From the moment you step into this eerie environment, the game’s atmosphere grips you tightly, evoking a powerful…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game has some great artstyle, animations, ideas/designs, and voice acting. However, as of Act 1, the story is still a bit bleak, and the gameplay can get a bit tedious at times. It's still a really well-made game, though. And from the preview of what's coming next, it looks like it'll only get more interesting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I encountered a game-breaking bug during my first play through of Act 1, I thought it was my fault or sth making me run around the place aimlessly in search for other alternatives until I turned up to a walk through video just to know that my game was bugged. When the hairpin was inserted into the lock it just disappeared into thin air, preventing me from using it to unlock the door to the warehouse. Thankfully that I only had to load my save and try it again. There's also another annoying bug…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Asleep is a point-and-click horror game with neat monster designs, an interesting story, animated cutscenes, and a Silent Hill meets Brazil setting. I enjoyed what I could play, but sadly there are multiple game breaking bugs at the moment. It seems as if when they patch one out, more pop up. For example there is a puzzle involving piecing together a child's drawing, but it didn't work correctly and would hardlock the game with a blackscreen when exiting the puzzle. Once that got patched, I ran…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Asleep - Ato 1 is the first chapter (out of ???) of a side scrolling / point and click hybrid horror game. It’s very well made! It takes very direct inspiration from Silent Hill 1 with numerous nods. You explore a town and then a school, with a dynamic map that updates as you find points of interest. There is no combat, but there is combat-like mechanics with your flashlight that requires timing and strategy. Overall, it’s pretty great. Very good pixel art, some fun puzzles, good music, etc.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Asleep Act 1 is a truly captivating and intriguing game that wears its Silent Hill influences proudly on its sleeve—and I mean that as a compliment. As a fan of psychological horror, I found myself completely immersed in its world and am eagerly anticipating the sequel. The story is shrouded in mystery, with just enough tantalizing hints to keep you hooked. It left me craving more, eager to unravel its secrets and dive deeper into its narrative. The atmosphere is nothing short of masterful:…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Asleep - Ato 1 is a very good looking pixel art horror game with a unique saving system cool monster designs and a good atmosphere i can't wait for act 2 buuuut the movement is very inconsistent and buggy which lead to me being attacked or even killed and sometimes when i interacted with doors or the mirror the player started to walk to the left and to the right and seemed to be bugged or just ran to the opposite direction.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Purely a skill issue but words cannot describe how much I hate the ending to this game. 6/10 Pros: - Great Pixel Art -Story is okay -Music is pretty creepy -Can be fun in sections Cons: - Point and click controls are bad - Some of the translation is half done - Puzzles can be confusing

unlabelledView post →In theory, the game is pretty cool. I love the silent hill vibe of it, the OST is very cool, and the art style is eerie in a good way. Voice acting could be better, but it isn't terrible. However, the game is very buggy. I seem to be stuck right before the end — essentially, there should be a box I can move to escape a specific room, but there is no box? I tried restarting the game but nothing worked. At first, I thought I hadn't unlocked something, but after watching a few walkthroughs, there…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is very unpolished and buggy. It was alright at first but got stuck at the part in the school where you have to lockpick a door. I guess its a bug but the lockpick would either disappear or the monster kept attacking me. Literally did not matter what I did. Luring it to the other end of the hallway or hiding in lockers and letting it pass didn't work. The lockpick mechanic is just downright annoying to be frank.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pensa numa surpresa boa!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"these cookies bring back good memories" 💛🖤🖤🖤🖤 ✅ visuals ⚠️ strong start ⛔ its just tedious and dull vibes: we have silent hill at home loop: side-scrolling pixel survival horror thoughts: i like the art, and the game starts off so strong, stylish, interesting, with very much what i thought was its own unique twist and voice to it. i was quite excited to play through it. and then you get to the school, which is essentially the entirety of the game, and it just throws it all away. ·…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't like the delay input that is prolly because of the idle animation EVERY time I STOP doing anything. I will still recommend this cause I don't want to ruin anyone's game, but honestly I don't like the gameplay. climb up the box, idle for 3 frames doing something related to quest, idle for 3 frames and those freaking 3 idle frames the enemies can hit you! IMagine you are being chased by the ghost, but you are idling for every things you do. Yeah good animations preferable but not…
