Developed by Chibig, the same developers behind the popular Summer in Mara title, it follows a very similar premise and maintains the full reliance on fetch quests. It is designed to appeal to a casual audience with repeated and relaxing gameplay. However, its recurring terraforming puzzles, superfluous story and repeated fetch quests were not something I particularly enjoyed, and my opinion on the game is rather…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, first of all, for some weird reason I thought this was a farming game, even though nowhere it says so, so my bad XD I usually don't like exploration and puzzles but this game is growing on me. It's cute, well made and it has a map with coordinates and a portable teleporter (a teleportable?) available all the time to warp to certain warp zones. The graphics are colorful and the music it's ok, I've been able to understand what to do by myself for now, and that's a feat because I get lost on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm normally not into these types of games, but I found myself having a blast! While exploration is a little slow-paced, that's not a bad thing. It's very relaxing and gets you into a trance-like rhythm. There's something oddly satisfying about clearing paths and making your way to your next destination. Pros: +Fantastic opening intro +Great atmosphere and characters +Pacing gets you into the game and breaks down the mechanics in an easily understandable way. +Exploration aspects are very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately i cant recommend this game. Bunch of soulles fetch quests. Take this ! Go there! The worst part is map design. Lets say you need to go to X area, closest way to go there is 3 down, 1 left; you can't do one of these moves. You have to move all the way around to go to that X area, which is just frustating. Half of the paths are just blocked. This is one of the examples of how much work i had to do for making a "shortcut". -> https://prnt.sc/2pw0GK8wf_DA There is a story but you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As you can see. I have completed Ankora: Lost Days. I have even gotten all the achievements. I'll be quick. The game plays as a mindless chore simulator. All the missions boil down to talk to this Ankh, get me this and that, and come back to me. Continue to do this for 15 more characters and the game is over. And this is after the last Chibig universe game, Summer in Mara, was also a painful chore simulator. The combat is garbage. You press a. That's literally all there is to it. No difficulty…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Impossible to play the game if you don't have a QWERTY keyboard... On AZERTY you can't use any skills because the key Q doesn't switch with A and this leave you stuck in the second panel of the game.... Nice ! And you just cant switch your key setting in this game becaaaaaaauseeee... no. Just no keyboard settings. in 2022. Okay. I'm so disapointed because the Ankora on mobile is one of my favorite game and i was very excited for this one. But after 10min of play i have to face the facts.. i…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1.5/10 moible/facebook browser quality. you dont have the energy to perform that action i locked up the games tutorial and had to restart because i was to tired to do anything and the game would not let me sleep - move speed is pudding - loading bar when doing actions. slow everything down - small amounts of loaded level at one time + art style - cant rebind controls - 15$ price tag
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gamepad does not work and the menu has WASD controls, which is not explained. Truly one of the games I will never play more than 5 minutes of. Ideally no one should, but alas you have to in order to reveal the truth in form of a Steam review.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this in a bundle with Summer with Mara and one more and to be frank it sucks. Cute art style yes but the controls are horrific and you can't change them at all which makes no sense nowadays. Save your few bucks.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It seems to be a mobile game ported to PC. Fine but, there's no direction in game. Follow the quests, but my quest it to talk to a guy but the guy wont talk to me because there's enemies I need to defeat but I don't have a spear unlocked, but follow the quests to unlock things, but I can't do the quest because the thing isn't unlocked. The "guide" they stickied is cute but no help for anything. The Wiki is no help. There's no info and the game has no guidance. Seems like the guy that gave me…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The presentation does not live up to the gameplay. At times it is fun, but every mechanic seems optimized to waste your time. Only get it if you think cute can outweigh meaningless frustration.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cumbersome and clunky. Controls not changeable. Attack speed, crafting and more not very intuitive and slow. The walking speed is essentially a crawl. I love the concept, the art is adorable and concept is interesting but in it's current state, I cannot recommend it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought I'd enjoy this game since it looked so cute. but the movements are clunky, the controls aren't customisable, volume can't be controlled, and the exit option doesn't even work. Did I mention what a pain it is to even advance? It's a pain. Glad this was part of a bundle, I'd feel bad paying full price for this. 100% uninstalling.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the intro animation's Ghibli-esque style is gorgeous and the game itself has pretty environments and cute artwork, it feels like a game that is still in the very very stages of development. The core gameplay loop is there but, unfortunately, there isn't much to it. NPC's give you quests to go do a thing, you go do the thing, chopping trees and mining rocks that are in your way, you come back, give them the item, and then you repeat the process for another NPC elsewhere. There is combat…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →got this for backing "Mika and the Witch's Mountain" a while ago, this game is really a slow mess of a survival game. the only thing i kinda like is the art style, which doesnt seem all that consistent anyway the controls are just clunky, along with most of the mechanics in the game, tasks like farming take too long and arent even worth it except to progress quests. i should never need to track down and lure animals between annoying (and sometimes impossible) routes multiple times in order…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looked like a cute farming game. Is cute, but no farming to be found. Also very tedious. Controls can't be changed AT ALL, and the control scheme is insane. Feels unfinished.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a sci-fi survival adventure inspired by the art style of Studio Ghibli with exploration and crafting. Help the girl whose ship crashed to survive on the wild planet Ankora. Gameplay: https://youtu.be/vghMmUz9REQ You will have many options for activities. Gather the resources, learn recipes, craft items, protect from unknown creatures, and upgrade your survivor. The game allows you to experiment with terraforming the surface and building bridges for movement between locations. Ankora:…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you have played this game back when it was on mobile, I'll say that this version is an improvement in every way. I played with an Xbox 360 controller, and I found the controls to work just fine. There's more precise movement than going from square to square. The art style has greatly improved. The quests and story are still pretty much the same. If you have not played this game when it was on mobile, I'll start by saying that this game is not for everyone. The negative reviews usually point…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game used to be a mobile game, an awesome one. All they needed to do was to port the same game to PC. But, no. Chibig just decided to make the same game but with horrible controls. I can't move, I can't check map or I can't find the gate to the next map block. These all used to be so easy on mobile. I couldn't stand it for more than an hour. I will just let this stay a good memory from good old android days.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ankora: Lost Days is a good farming game with some nice graphics and a relaxing ambiant. I recommend it!!! 💗💗💗
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a fan of Deiland and Summer in Mara, i decided to try this game as part of a bundle while on sale (about $21 for this game, Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara and Mika and The Witch's Mountain). I loved every minute of it, felt a lot like Deiland at times, interesting concept with the map grid choices, I enjoyed forming the land to reach the next zone/adventure. I will be leaving reviews for the other games mentioned once I have played them, but I feel confident saying if you were a fan of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short little adventure game, although a glorified fetch quest it still has some good qualities to it, from colorful art style to good OST. I recommend you grab it on a deep sale or use the bundle discount for it, since it's their weakest game so far, this is probably due to the fact it was originally a mobile game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had a wonderful time playing the gentle and easy game Ankora: Lost Days. The art style and writing are very cute with controls that are easy to pick up for younger players. I appreciated the variety of the music track and the lessons learned through the adventure.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A wonderful, casual, short cozy explorer game on a cute little alien world with an adorable protagonist. I loved this little adventure. A few notes on what to expect. I finished this in 16 hrs and some of that was cuz I was more interested in exploring the map than following the main quests that would have given me the tools to actually open new areas, silly me. I also left it on a few times when I got distracted with life so you’ll probably finish it faster than me if you’re actually focused.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's animal crossing, with combat. I think anyone reviewing this negatively for all of the "running errands back and forth" were incorrectly marketed to. I can't put it down.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game ported from mobile, which was ported good, probably best port from mobile to pc i've ever seen. I feel they removed some of the more survival mechanics which i'm disappointed about (no hunger / water), but its still good game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't be fooled. This is not as good as the art looks. This is maybe a good game to play with your 8 year old. That's about it. Very, very simple. Oddly unpleasant movement and animations. Really... awkward combat. Did not like the shovel mechanics in the least. Story is ok so far but I won't be continuing this game. This isn't for adult gamers, it's a kids game at best. Probably should be just on iPad or something.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a decent attempt at the survivalist genre. It is a nice, relaxing adventure with a big heart that, unfortunately, did not quite get enough polish in the end product. That said, this is a really good game to throw at someone whom is a bit new to video games. My main gripes with this game are what I would call mere nitpicks, but together, they drag down the score a bit, but still an overall enjoyable experience. - Game is ridiculously easy if you have played a few Action RPGs…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a bit pants, unfortunately.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cute, fun game! You do (mostly fetch) quests around a grid-like map, improving tools and unlocking recipes. Took ~10 hours to complete 100%.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a cute game, however, I spent most of my time running around, back and forth trying to find mats for quests. I kept a journal to track quests and locations. I did like that after a while the developers ID's where the munchkins were located which helped. I did like to explore the map but did not desire to go over it again and again looking for items. It became tiresome after a while.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute, simple and relaxing. Plays much better on a controller than keyboard - bit too much back and forth on the map to complete the quests but not game breaking.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I doubt I have ever experienced this kind of grid system in a game before. It took a bit to get used to and challenging early on, but with proper tools everything can be changed for easy access from place to another. game play was otherwise pretty solid as well. Greatly enjoyed all of the characters as well. Chibig games always tend to have a positive message and this one is no exception to that. In all being good is always better, but the deeper one in Mara is clearly environmentalism, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got it for free after backing Mika and the Witch's Mountain (game about delivering parcels à la Kiki's Delivery Service, supposed to be out since October 2023, the irony) Not a good game, clearly not worth 14,99€ I seriously hope they got better at designing video games since edit: they didn't get better at making video games at all
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I'm not sure if this came out before Deiland or afterwards (And I didn't bother to check), but this one is basically the same gameplay BUT with a puzzle mechanic. In order to advance, you have to build bridges or terraform the land around you. It's pretty cool and gives the gameplay another layer. I like it! So from best to worst, I'd say This game -> Summer in Mara -> Deiland
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It plays like a bad mobile phone game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Relaxing 14 hours of exploring, crafting and farming
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an absolute adorable puzzle-but-not-too-hard-puzzy survival game where you don't really feel the IRL time pass, which for me makes it an amazing game! Kinda wish she didn't walk like a gremlin tho, haha. Few bugs but it's so very recently released and they are not game-breaking so I don't mind. /Key gotten from dev team, but review is my own
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly addictive The game is a prequel to Deiland, focused on the character Mun. A large map of Ankora is divided into small sectors, which are basically little terraforming puzzles. The gameplay encourages you to terraform the sectors so that you can easily get through them later when you're passing through them while doing side quests. You can also gaining resources in the process of map exploration. Lots of crafting mechanics too, but they are mostly for a start and the quests.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A truly enjoyable game that I highly recommend; it’s very relaxing and makes simplicity its strong point. Exploration, interacting and managing various NPCs and survival elements make it the perfect game to play late at night. I loved the charm of the art style and the delightful soundtrack. Highly recommended <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ankora: Lost Days, developed and published by Chibig, is a gentle yet surprisingly layered survival adventure that places exploration, learning, and self-sufficiency at the center of its design. Set on the vibrant and untamed planet of Ankora, the game tells the story of Mûn, a young Junior Ranger whose spacecraft crashes far from civilization. What follows is not a frantic fight for survival, but a slow-burning journey of adaptation, curiosity, and growth, where the planet itself becomes both…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good way to waste time while listening to a book or a podcast. Not much else but it doesn't have to be. Well, just playing the game is pretty fun too, if you like even boring progression and quests and stuff.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's quite confusing at first, but it's gradually getting easier until the end. The game run smoothly till the end, no bug detected. Finding the animals and guiding it to the destination is quite a chore.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I received this game as part of a charity bundle, I didn't explicitly purchase it. I would NOT recommend buying it individually. It really needs a lot of polish. Almost nothing is explained; there's no reference in the game (for recipes or the like). This is a game that badly needs a reference built-in, or at least some kind of community behind it to document everything, but unfortunately it doesn't look like it has either of those. Gameplay-wise switching tools is clunky, and the controls…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Here's one for @videogamebeach.bsky.social (the game is Ankora: Lost Days)
unlabelledView post →Really wanted to enjoy this game but I simply can't. The exploration part is moderately fun but it's completely overshadowed by every single quest being a fetch quest. It becomes insanely irritating to travel around and your brain will turn to cabbage from trying to memorise steps such as "west twice, north once, east four times." You can teleport to certain places, but they're never anywhere near where you need to be to deliver a loaf of bread, milk and some other random item to.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really loved Deiland and Summer in Mara, spend days playing that games ,so obviously when i see Mun for the 3th game i was sold ,i could not wait to get my hands on it ,but after a 1,5 hour of gameplay it was a big BIG disapointment i hate the lands ,i hate the way to raise and lower the lands and Mun is not a nice person in here. after waiting for it and playing it i feel insulted and really disapointed in the makers 2x it was amazing now 3th game not even come close to the quality of the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this game on mobile years ago and was super excited to see it coming to steam. Played it and it did not disappoint just like back then. slight issues with spelling and grammar but overall, def recommend for a light exploration game. hoping for a new planet for Mun to visit <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Before I dive into the actual review I want to point out something, this game is not a survival or crafting/farming game it's an exploration puzzle-ish game with lighthearted survival and crafting elements THE GAMEPLAY You have to do fetch quest for the characters of the game, these are simple missions like going from point A to point B or finding and item and bringing it to the quest giver. But if you ask me the big selling point of the game is the exploration itself, you have to modify the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cute and relaxing little game. Perfect if you want a slow-paced, calming experience. There are survival elements and battles, but both are very easy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this a lot when it was on tablet. Is better on PC especially if there is to be DLCs later on or a series of exploring different planets and maintaining your own trade and production empire (no need to command the patrol fleets though, that aint this sort of game). Anyways it is full of the loving Kawaii culture that has great reform in America's federal government these days (i hope, no more racist whites!) and at least seems to be very popular with the general public (but not the rough…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Picked this up on sale for when I felt like a chill, casual style game. An exploration/crafting adventure game with very minor survival elements and a rather nice cute and bright art style. You play as Mûn, a junior member of the galactic patrol who crashes her spaceship onto the planet of Ankora. Upon exiting your wrecked craft, you explore the planet and befriend the local population. The overall map is split into small cells which you need to explore and use tools to sculpt the landscape to…
