I was looking forward to this so incredibly much!!!, but in its current state it is just awful Disclaimer: i'm a KBM user, cant use controllers for my life even if i want to. I was waiting so long for more of Chibig on PC, but this is just pain. I love the gameplay idea and overall look but i just cant enjoy any of it. So first we have no actual keyboard-optimization, it will still show controller buttons to press in the first hour of playing (arguably the part of the game that most people…

As an avid player of the original Deiland, I can't say the Pocket Edition really lives up the previous title's name. It shares a lot of history with it's predecessor; but here is a few good points and bad points about this one. -=- The Pros of Pocket Deiland -=- * Same sensational soundtrack that was available in Deiland Original. * Completed Storyline though I have as of yet done the entire game yet. -=- The Pros of Original Deiland -=- * Amazing soundtrack that you could zone out to. Cash grab game. For those not in the know, there already was a Deiland game that they removed from the store to make people buy this instead instead of just updating the old game. The only difference is a season system which actively makes things worse since you have to wait for the right season to plant things. Even with Cheat Engine for 2x speed, this is still just a whole lot of waiting around for a random visitor to show up and hope they have a new quest for you. Or, more egregiously,…

This game isn't fully functional. I emailed the developer because I couldn't complete the quest to meet the guy on the ice planet since nothing loaded in. I was walking on air with nothing around me. I immediately exited the game and went back in, but then I had to craft fuel to get back to the planet again. The same thing happened. I emailed the dev for support for the game and I was told this: "We're sorry but we're not giving support to Deiland Pocket Planet at this moment, sorry. In case…

Deiland Pocket Planet (DPP) is the 3rd iteration of Deiland. The first was a mobile game, “Deiland, Tiny Planet”, the second was “Deiland” for PC (which I will call “OG” for future reference), with DPP being first released to consoles before being ported to PC. This port, as others have said, resulted in the removal of the OG from Steam entirely. Initial release: Despite several delays, it is obvious they did not playtest this port. Multiple button prompts still showed (and still do) their…

A mild thmbs-up. Should really be thumbs-sideways. This is "Summer in Mara" (an earlier game from the same developers), but with easy combat and somehow without the fun. It has farming, crafting, building, and a small amount of exploration. The 3D world is competently presented and the graphics are fun. Somehow the game didn't engage me. It was just a series of tasks. I finished it because I'd paid for it and because I was mildly interested in the plot. I didn't appreciate the combat…

In general terms, if you have played old Deiland, this one is pretty much same, don´t buy if you expect something radical and new. Think of this as polished Deiland with minor upgrades. Otherwise pretty solid game.

The game Deiland is really good, I played the original and it's great the new Deiland is a lot like the original, not much changed, but a small amount of additional content has been added which is good. The only major complaint the can be had I can give is that Deiland: Pocket Planet did not launch with working mouse and keyboard controls. However the Devs were quick to respond and added a fix that made mouse and keyboard controls work. Very proud of them. They do a great job with their games.…

I don't see any difference from the original Deiland game, which was removed from the steam store some time ago. But I like such projects, they are great for spending time without thinking about anything and just enjoying the game But do not rush to buy this game , because it is rather boring and monotonous. The planet is very small and can be completely run through in half a minute. The game lacks a good soundtrack and interesting gameplay. Even Summer in Mara from the same developer is…

It literally feels like this game would be unethical to recommend to other players. This plays like a free mobile game that you expect to have an ad pop up every five seconds, but instead they just made it $15 and put it on Steam. I feel SO BAD because I tried to like this game, and I wanted to like this game, but it just felt soo unfinished and out of order in certain parts, it was just honestly really not an enjoyable experience. *Potentially some mild spoilers, I tried to remain quite…

I just can't recommend this game in its current state unless you get it at a discount. It's a great game with a lot of potential, but there needs to be a number of changes made to the game before it goes from an okay game to a really great game. I'll list the pros first so no one can accuse me of being unfair: *The story is actually quite engaging. There are some pretty interesting twists, some of which are a bit dark and create some interesting implications for Arco's future. I just wish the…

I thought Summer in Mara was bad, even with it's good points, but this game is trash. The balance is so off, and I'm already tired of everything I pass wanting me to do something with it. And the requirement to stop at the end of the day right when I'm doing something I need to do, or get minerals I need is ridiculous. This is a torture quest.

This game is pretty and cute. The music is really nice. First time I played it, I liked the characters, liked doing the quests and was interested in the story. There are quite a few little things that are frustrating and will make the playtime less enjoyable (bugs, things that get stuck, resources that disappear much too fast...). I think it's a bit short, not many decorations to even feel like decorating all the planet (which would entice me to play longer). Also a lot of this already short…

Deiland Pocket Planet is a mild and relatively short farming game, with many planting seeds, a few sheep and bees to watch for, some basic gadgets to develop and upgrade, some mostly friendly folks to meet and help to (and to receive help in return), and also, to ease up the stupid nightmares, and shoo away the 'monsters' from under the bed. In other words, it's a small indie title, well approved for kids of nearly any age, to play in short sessions and take it easy. The game was in the long…

Hard no on this. Barely any tutorial. Can't figure out how or why on many things. It tells you to click A but it really means the space bar. And the kid constantly giggling when he talks is just annoying as all get out. I have gone back to the game after searching the web for answers and then once playing again, new things crop up that make no sense. I'm just so over it, that I'm done.

I still cannot recommend it despite getting the game for free for having the old one which I also received for free... and gave a critical review on. It's the same thing gameplay-wise, but in case it wasn't tedious enough going back and forth between quests for several characters already, this version of Deiland introduces the season system which is cool in theory with visual changes to the planet being desperately needed, but awful to play with as it just hinders your ability to get through…

Ohhh how I hate having to leave a bad review. The game design is very pretty, the basic concept is cool, the story looks promising. Unfortunately the story is under baked and severely suffers from pacing issues. This game is a quest-unlocks-story type of game, where it runs into major trouble is that it tries to be too realistic. The people who stop by your planet to give you quests are at random completely, they do not arrive in any particular order or when a quest finishes, which means you…

I liked the gameplay, mostly. Unfortunately, it was really buggy. It kept spawning me in the middle of nothingness when I would go into the mine, or onto the first planet, and because you can't manually save before doing these things, it automatically takes you to the end of the action and then you have to wait for ages for the next opportunity to arise to try it again. And after applying the recommended fixes, it wouldn't register my controller most of the time. So, I never actually got to see…

By definition, an Open World game. You can literally walk around the globe and dig to it's core. Also I burned a baby chicken. And I'm wasn't proud about it, so I did it again. On a serious note: Too many negative reviews because of the mobile version (?), but the game is amazing! It surely doesn't deserve to be just 'mixed'. And why doesn't it have the Open World tag?

This game is super cute and fun! It's similar to Story of Seasons in the farming part but it also has quests, a main story to follow and some RPG-like stuff: you can gain exp doing farm chores or defeating monsters, level up and improve stats, get better tools, unlock recipes... It's a little bit similar to Rune Factory. If you like this kind of games or you simply want to relax in space, I recommend it!

Beautiful game with a relaxed pace, and a some charming characters. It has something touchy, feeling alone in that little planet taking care of it, growing vegetables, having visitors... Good but with some issues The graphics are cute and the story is simple but entertaining. Occasionally the game freezes which is resolved by stopping (via the Steam library) and restarting. I didn't loose progress by doing this. Giving a positive review, but the game has flaws. Overall you will experience 10-15 hours of mostly fun and easy grind, with base building, farming, fighting, etc. Recommended for kids. Good music and art. Clearly inspired by "The Little Prince", which is great. Main plot is not finished (hooks like this probably mean game part 2... which will never happen), although each character storyline can be cleared. Feels like the game could be way bigger with more planets to go.

Managed to get stuck in a rock in 38 minutes of playing it which was fixed after quitting then exiting out of the game then replaying it. So, yay? Sluggish rotation when looking at the planet and when putting down visitors. Clunky controls on top of that. Not great at helping the player figure out the next objective to complete a task or chores in this case. It's relies way too much on rng when dealing with quests or visitors.

Considering how much I like the story of The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, I do also greatly enjoy this. Though Chibig threw their own twist into it and merely used the story as a base inspiration jumping board for this game.
