positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It sucks living in a world where Adine is not my wife in real life.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →These are my initial thoughts after finishing the first round of this game, because it's obviously set up for new game plus situations. LITERALLY EVERYONE I LIKED IS DEAD, WHAT THE HELL. I did not heed the warnings of the other reviews. I really did expect this to be some kind of ha-ha funny lizard dating sim with very serious jokes going on around. What i did NOT expect is for this game to turn out to be the most murder-happy version of Phoenix Wright with dinosaurs and dragons. Time for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I genuinely liked the "dragons" in the game. I enjoyed getting to know these individuals and I very much see them as scaly people, but there is more to this game than just meeting sentient lizards and that is the issue... If you crave more than just indulging in a scale-fetish romance, this game will disappoint you at all turns. Let's start with the good. I legitimately can't stress enough that I like these characters. All of them feel fleshed out to a weird degree for the VN genre. They…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The title is a lie, not all of them have wings
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Writing's not good, people are just way too nice because it's niche content to an underserved market (dragon autists), same as how survival horror fans have lower standards due to content scarcity.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For the longest time i contemplated buying this game just because I'm a big VN person and like dragons. I was put off by it for the longest time because 1. the artstyle definitely leaves something to be desired and 2. I was scared this was going to be your average dating simulator for cringe lords that holds itself together with sticks and glue. Regardless, I ended up buying it and it really was not ANYTHING as it seems. It is an incredibly competent and well put together story with visceral…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I actually cried. No this is not a joke i did cry. The game is beautiful and story is somewhat complex but absolutely perfect. I love the characters (especially Adine Anna Bryce and Remy) Please I implore you if you have the 10 dollars buy this game. You will cry too as I have. I guarantee it without a shadow of a doubt in my mind.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish there was an option to play as a dragon.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Anna's good ending emotially wrecked me :(
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shockingly, I didn't hate this. I did not expect to have a decent time playing this. I don't like dating sims and I don't have any particular interest in dragons, so I expected what was described to me as 'a dating sim about dating dragons' to be very bad. And I do think that this type of game was not designed with myself as the intended audience. Despite that, I have had a decent time playing it. It certainly has some badly-done moments, it isn't always perfectly consistent, and I really hate…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought this was just a dragon dating sim. I thought wrong. I didn't just fall in love with cute, strong, snarky, or shy creatures that resemble dragons, but also the supporting cast and the world that hosted the whole story. The plot is not particularly deep, nor the storytelling Pulitzer Prize worthy, and it's occasionally a little heavy-handed, but it's a good story that's told well, and half the fun comes from piecing it all together. Most VNs hold my attention for long enough to get…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're into dragons
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Who is Remy? For the geographer, the world. For the philosopher, the truth. For the mathematician, the solution. For the sick, the cure. For the astronomer, the universe. For the hungry, the bread. For the thirsty, the water. For me, everything. If Remy thinks so, I agree If Remy speaks, I listen If Remy makes a mistake, I forgive. If Remy has one thousand fans, I'm one of them. If Remy has one hundred fans, I'm one of them. If Remy has ten fans, I'm one of them. If Remy has…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didn't expect to put over 30 hours into a visual novel over the last 10 days, but here I am. I came in open-minded, and I've enjoyed this rollercoaster of a ride immensely. Few games make you care for the characters this much.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't think the game is for me, if you read my review maybe you agree, but I didn't exactly give this game a fair review (I wish I didn't have to choose whether to recommend this game) I like dragons well enough, I don't have any reason to believe it will be a bad story, but I want real dragons, not just humans and human society with transplanted bodies, I want to immerse myself into an actually alien world that makes sense for dragons to live in, and thrive without being dependent on…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →is has Gymnopédie No. 1 in it. im not saying where or when but its there
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cried, A LOT. Hey, It's my favorite game, hell my favorite story in general now. I haven't had the most love for any other set of characters in fiction. This game is really good at making you care.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like many other comments on here, I agree that the trailer...well, it could have been done better. It makes this game look like shoddily made, dating sim nonsense, but it's so much more. Seriously, once you buy and play this game, there's no going back. Without getting into spoilers, actually dating these dragons is only half of what you're gonna be doing. Between spending a day with one of 5 main characters, you go on investigations that expand the story. And what a story it is! It isn't just…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is an inimitable masterpiece. The story is poignant, profound, almost farcical at times, tragic at others—but it always feels, for what is ostensibly a dragon dating simulator, real. It’s not melodramatic, it’s not a blunt fantasy, it’s an expansive and indelibly sincere narrative with nonpareil characters and engaging interactions (other than Kevin, of course). Then again, I suppose most people are just here for ‘dragon dating sim’ 😔 Which is understandable. 10/10 either way
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm here just for the story... 100%... don't look at me like that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh, you thought this was a cute little dragon dating sim? WELL THINK AGAIN!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →best game ever. i got this when it first came out on my old account. i really hope adine, anna, and lorem are in the second game. i like to think of the second game as a late brithday gift since i was born on the 29th. i literally cant wait. i hope the second game gets more popularity.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was brought to tears, so here is a 11:12 pm request for others to buy the game and share my misery... not 100% yet, but I already can't wait for the sequel. please play this masterpiece (edit: def recommend playing the Requiem for Crimson Scales mod for Anna lovers, after base game ofc)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First visual novel that forced me to restart everything because of guilt of my choices. Must play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If for some reason you're thinking about getting this game like a decade or so late, and aren't sure, go ahead: it seems like it would be either a meme game or a scaly fetish game, but in fact it's a shockingly seriously written drama with very light romantic elements, likable characters, and a pretty neat story that unfolds over a respectable play time. Well worth a read if you like visual novels.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Came to date dragons. Left because of the sci-fi plot.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You start the game and you are like "hell yeah dragon dating sim" and you think to yourself "man this is going to be so fun and not emotionally damaging" Then you get the bad ending on your first playtrough and you will enter such a deep state of depression that looking at the title screen will make the toughest of men, women and everyone in between weep Also Remy my beloved
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I will start by saying that there are some elements I really like in this game. I generally like visual novels and I’m usually fairly forgiving with the writing and such. And this game has its fair share of little things that I am willing to overlook. However, it also will occasionally do completely egregious things. I’m talking about parts with writing choices that are mind numbingly bad. Most of the game is written as though YOU are the main character, and they often give you a lot of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A surprisingly good visual novel that has dragon/dinosaur people as the main chracters to interact with. At first I thought it was going to be hard to swallow, but the story does a good job of establishing how the society works and even uses it in the narrative. While I felt the main story was short, most of the meat of this game is playing through each character's "routes" and getting additional context for future playthroughs. In this way, it felt very similar in structure to other Visual…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing Dragon Dating sim! But it WILL make you cry
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First off I want to say that I did really *want* to like this game, but unfortunately the plot twist is really stupid (They aren't dragons, they're GMO dinosaurs (made by a time traveller), and it wasn't a portal to another world, it was a time machine. Super disappointing as someone who wanted, and was told I was getting, *dragons*), and the 'villain' is 100% in the right (for the record, he wouldn't be if not for the plot twist) - the player character, as a biologist, should know better.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The writers knew what they were doing. While the plot sounds and is utterly ridiculous when you look at it, they pull it off wonderfully. The dialogue is well written with very few exceptions and the plot is moving enough to bring me to tears on multiple occasions. As long as you like reading and dragons, then you'll like this. And the plot... The authors were playing some serious 4D chess. Can't wait for the next installment.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall Recommended: ✅ Gameplay: ❤️❤️🤍 Graphics: ❤️❤️❤️ Story: ❤️❤️❤️ Music/Sounds: ❤️❤️🤍 Bugs: 🚫 -------------------------------- Total: ❤️❤️❤️🤍 comment: A pretty interesting plot (though I would have enjoyed more dating in-game) and I really liked the entire premise of the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good hell of visual novel (the work that must get behind this ghost!) It's simply every tiny choice you make have consequences, everyone of them. And you would need more that one play through to get all of the story. my time is not représentative here I'm at last my four parties now
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was recommended to play this by a friend, and though I don't usually do VNs.. I really enjoyed playing this, I loved the characters and the storyline, I do like me sci-fi games for sure. It was a very enjoyable and truly amazing (in other, grander words - life changing) experience and I'm looking forward to a sequel coming sometime (hopefully) soon! ^^ Thanks for showing me this wonderful game, as I know yer reading this (stalker.)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game almost half a decade ago, why? I was a horny teenager who was enamoured with dragons... I long since forgot about it, with it downloaded on my PC through the pandemic and it was four days ago that I was bored and happened across it, a game that I'd not played yet. I said ♥♥♥♥ it, launched the game at just before six in the morning... I didn't leave my desk until twenty-one, fifteen hours later... Only once I managed to give Anna a happy ending This game not only captivated me…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I first played this game, I expected this game to have a bit of romance. But then I ended up boning a dragon. So really this game is a lot better than I expected. 8/10!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game on a whim back in September 2019. Little did I know what was in store for me. When I first met the character Bryce, I didn't think I'd ever feel such a way for a fictional character. I wanted him to be mine. I played through his route, and watched fireworks with him. But of course, anyone who's played knows how his bad ending goes... I was truly inconsolable by the time the credits rolled. Bryce made me feel things I didn't think I ever would. And those feelings only grew.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best Indie games I've ever played, and criminally underplayed by the gaming community. On par with, if not better than, other Indie "anime dating sim" games like Doki Doki Literature Club. (Anyone who has played that other game knows the "anime dating sim" aspect is just a front, and it's the same with this game.) Contrary to popular rumor, sure, you go on "dates" with dragon-people but nothing needs to be overtly sexual. Depends on how you want to play your character, and what…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I haven't completed the game as of writing this, but my goal is clear and my Determination will carry me through.I went in almost completely blind. I had minimal spoilers to the fate of one of the characters but that wasn't anywhere near enough to prepare me for the emotional rollercoaster I had already strapped myself into. My first time in chapter 3 is where I became too emotionally compromised to continue playing that day. That is when I knew that this isn't your average game. I have since…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a surprisingly good game. I will say, you have to go in with the mind that this *is* a visual novel, otherwise you may end up disappointed or bored. The opening sprawl is a bit heavy and doesn't do a great job of necessarily setting the tone, but it works for a twist later on. I've seen plenty of pieces like this try and juggle multiple labels (dating sim, murder mystery, etc) like this one does, but so far I think it's the best for something that still features so much player choice. All…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good game, but not as sad as I was expecting from other commenters. Don't get me wrong, it does hit you in the feels, but the overall nature of the game causes the sand parts to feel.... impermanent, taking away from the sadness. Interesting story, and I loved how the true ending played out. Also the art style could be better and more cohesive at times. Overall, I do want to play the sequel, but I was not bawling at really any point of the game, which was the main impression I was getting…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't think a visual novel can literally ever top this. Seriously, I am still in awe. I don't even know what to say.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty cool game The freefall mod is literally required, that is the true ending. Peak fiction. Love eating bananas
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The title of the game doesn't lie The people that you meet in this game, they truly are; Angels, With Scaly Wings This game, i was not ready for it, the characters, the story, the plot, the science, the emotional attachments that you form, all of it, was as close to perfect as you can get. I thought that this would be just another dating sim with pretty popular characters, but i didn't realize why they were so popular... This game is a masterpiece, it made you FEEL the impact of every choice…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was going in expecting another trope-y dating sim, but the complexity caught me way off guard, like a slap to the face at some moments. One of the handfuls of VNs that had me doing mental gymnastics by juggling my emotions, easily a top 5.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think that a dragon lover would enjoy this game. The story is good and the dragons are unique and have their 2 designated endings each dragon along with the true ending which personally made me cry. Aside from the story you also get to date the dragons but don't expect to jump to the bed with the dragon (unless you want to mess with the Steam Workshop). Despite the unorthodox name which some of my friends thought that the game was something else let's say don't let the game's name fool you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Initially, I had high expectations of this game. Because, c'mon: 1) Dating dragons 2) Crime Scene Investigation *puts on shades* 3) Time travel and multiverse *enters a certain blue box* A perfect combo, so, what could could you possibly dislike? All the mentioned bullet points were followed to some degree, but sort-of-abandoned halfway through. Dating - more like friends meeting - affects the ending - kinda - but isn't nearly as good as you might expect from a visual novel. Investigations…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Originally posted on [url=https://www.dragon-quill.net/angels-with-scaly-wings/]Dragon Quill. Comments are enabled there. I don’t often return games, but I gladly made an exception for this one. It was such a staggering disappointment on every level. The premise: You are an ambassador to a parallel dimension where dragons are the dominant species instead of humans, but also there are murders and dark secrets to uncover; basically the dragon version of Hatoful Boyfriend. How could that…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Adine will never be Winter Wyvern
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a hidden gem. I first played this in April 2023 for April fools day to play something silly and different not really expecting much from it. It ended up being the best game I played that year. The soundtrack is striking and memorable as are the characters and their backstories. I played this to 100% twice on consoles and despite there being so many twists and turns it's surprisingly free of plot holes. It even ties in well with the more recent web comic Angels with Broken Hearts…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played On Steam Deck Note: to speed up text, bind R3 to Tab in Controller settings Time to 100%: ~15h I never thought I’d find myself emotionally invested in a world where dragons walk around like they’re attending a fantasy convention 24/7, but here I am. “Angels with Scaly Wings” is a visual novel that caught me off guard in the best possible way. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to play “Ace Attorney” meets “How to Train Your Dragon,” this is close to it. First off, the story. You…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Apparently, this is a murder mystery/puzzle game in a visual novel format. Not at all what I expected. Absolutely fantastic game. I don't want to go... I don't want to finish it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This has been my first visual novel and I was genuinely surprised by how good it was, had a really good time and really sad ones. I recommend because I think it's worth it. Adine best girl and Remy best guy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I could date dragons and that makes it a 10/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An absolutely Amazing game, with such a good story, highly recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent, I dont even like VN's theyre frustrating. Most coices are "haha funny" or "haha relatable" and rarely have real impacts on the levels of BG3 or disco elysium. While this game doesnt suffer so much from it its still sometimes pulls stuff out of nowhere, altought that might be due to the nature of the game u know, timelines n ♥♥♥♥ Anyways i love dragons and i love the lightweight but unexpectedly deep/relatable characters this game has
