Angelo and Deemon: One Hell of a Quest
Developer Specialbit Studio
Once upon a time, the Grim Reaper chose the wrong door. Angelo – a young lazy bum-a-holic, oh sorry - a blogger, powered only by his blogging skills, must turn on “point-n-click adventure” mode, go around the inferno, meet the locals, and somehow get back home. Enjoy Hell! We made it just for you. From the Steam store page

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More like Angelo and Deemon: One Hell of a demo The game isn't very good, it feels like a demo and it feels unfinished. The only thing which saves it from a negative review is price. Base price is only 7,49€ which surprisingly still feels too much. You play as vlogger guy who suddenly meets the reaper and gets transported to hell. For some reason he just isn't scared or surprised at all. He takes this as an opportunity to get more subscribers on youtube. And so you are in hell trying to get…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't like to post bad reviews and I think the game has a lot of good things but those alone are not enough. Let me start with the good things: the game is very beautifully drawn, the animations are a bit rough but passable. The music is catchy (when present) and the dubbing is quite good. Now we get to the bad parts: the game is just boring, it's hardly explaining what's going on, the puzzles are based on combinations you'd never try; at least they put very few objects at a time. The goal is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very short game. It's an OK adventure game, not anyhow close to the classics from Sierra, but still OK. Just VERY short. You complete it in less than 2 hours, i.e. you pay 10$ per hour of gameplay. The whole games feels just like an intro or a demo, 10% of a real game. But after you complete the hell level, that's it.

No, no, no. It's a short, classic point and click adventure, but by far not reaching the quality of older LucasArts games. The backgrounds are exceptioanlly well drawn (the animations are a bit cheaper), the game is fully voiced, loading times are low and I found no real bugs... unless a below average english…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One Hell of a nice game - to help struggling youtuber hunting for a new material even joining forces with the devil himself. Funny story with great artwork, excellent controls and voiceovers. Despite its short length (the 2nd part is in the making!) this game is made by passionate devs and offers lot of fun, get it! positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ya know... When your Point and Click adventure game is about puzzles and object interactions and your main character responds to just about every interaction with a voice acted line, that's pretty cool. When half of those voice acted lines are obviously machine-translated and the voice actors are just reading them verbatim, including unnatural pauses where the lines break in the in-game text, though?... Not so great. I was done with this very quickly, because as great as it looks, when the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice, but somewhat flawed game. Pros: - Artwork. It's top-notch. Splendid characters on splendid backgrounds. Animation is somewhat simplistic, but nice nonetheless. - Voice acting. Very good for an indie game. Even the Ben's voice matches the original perfectly. - Puzzles. Very good. Challenging enough to please a seasoned adventure gamer. Rare find nowadays. - Plot. It's OK. Good pace, nice ideas. Neutral: - Writing. Some characters and their stories aren't consistent enough. Some are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Appealing art style but disappointing point-and-click adventure. Lacking English translation obviously not done by a native speaker. Some nonsensical and/or very far-fetched puzzles I would never have passed without a guide. Annoying characters, especially Angelo. Not enough hotspots and object descriptions. Very little music and it's mediocre.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didn't love this game, didn't hate it, but I don't think I would recommend it except on a good discount. It was a short point and click adventure game, with relatively easy achievements, a nice art style, and interesting premise but it fell short in too many areas for me. There was one scene with a bit of a satirical version of a current political figure that surprised me and kind of put me off actually with the current political climate in the US. What I Liked: I love an indie game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed this game! The artwork is awesome, the dialogues are funny, and the characters are very interesting. The voice acting is exemplary too! On the other hand, some puzzles aren't exactly straightforward, but more like trial and error. There's not much of a storyline. The game is kinda small without many places to explore. Still, overall, it is a great game! Great job, developers!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Entertaining and well made game! No difficult puzzles but the one or other challenge, when asking yourself, what to do in the various locations. The characters are nicely drawn with a slight ironic touch - not a very long game but the story is told and you leave with a satisfied smile.

After his vlog views have started diminishing, Angelo agrees to let the Grim Reaper to take him to Hell in a hope to take pictures and videos for his blog. Early on in the journey, he meets Deemon, who was a rapper in his past life, and Deemon joins Angelo for his own goals while providing funny and cynical comments along the way. This in essence is the main premise of the game. A little unusual, but at the same time fits with the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →On an everlasting quest to find the perfect PnC games, I found this game on sale and decided, why not? I was a bit dissapointed with the outcome, I really wanted to like this game. It has been 2 days that I finished this game and I kind of forgot what the story was again. I forced myself to finish this game through the cringe. The story is about Angelo, this has-been youtuber desperate for views, being mistakenly taken to the afterlife by the Grim Reaper. He then realises that this is his…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tl;dr - I bought this game on sale, played for an hour, hoping that I could get past all these issues and that it would get better at some point, and ended up requesting a refund. It's $12 regularly, and I got it for less than $7. Would not recommend. On the one hand, the gameplay isn't very good. The look of the game is fine, but the puzzles and progression aren't fluid and the system seems to rely heavily on an in-game hints function to allow players to progress. Hints aren't bad in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I guess you'd call this the B-movie equivalent of a point and click game. I thought the demo was humorous enough to try out the game on sale, but not sure about going full price with this one. On the plus side is the artwork, which is colorful and very striking (thank you for not going pixel art!) The English translation though is just wacky in spots, with many conversations and responses just not making much sense, although some of them come off as entertainingly wacky. Voice acting is not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Angelo and Deemon: One Hell of a Quest is a point-and-click puzzle adventure game, one very noticeably different from Specialbit's other hidden object-like games. You play as Angelo, a blogger dragged into Purgatory and with Deemon, his demon friend, explore Hell and try to find a way to heaven. One strong point in this game for me is the beautiful 2D artstyle and unique characters. There's also a lot of pop culture references in this game, and I find it entertaining. Gameplay-wise it really…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All right puzzles, and a fair price, but very short, and not great. The characters felt bland, so did music. The concept is cool, but the execution was not. The story is the biggest problem imo. A lot of "and then". The humor is a big one too, it is not good. Sorry about the criticism. I love this genre, and hope you will do better next time. I do think you have potential.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No idea why this game has bad reviews its brilliant, the graphics the humour the characters, I was absolutley gutted, I thought there was another chapter, please do a heaven chapter! I loved all the features especially Sara the hint command if you were a little stuck I hate trailing through walkthroughs and she gave subtle hints which were helpful but vague so it still required a little thinking.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool graphics but the gameplay is just soooooo slow; Way too much talking. Not a fan of the puzzles either, hardly any of them make any logical sense to me - I think I've played the whole game using just the hint button. Shame really cos I've really enjoyed the other games from Specialbit Studio
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great little game, brilliant graphics, good storyline thats fairly easy to follow, the puzzles make you scratch your head a bit[well I did lol]. Developer always handy for help, unlike many and quick to reply and very helpful, one of those games that suddenly yove been on it for an hour without realising. It was well worth the wait for this game the only problem is now im going to have to wait for their next game just hope its as good
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you love the "old" point-and-click adventures like DotT, Sam&Max, etc, then you are bound to like this one as well. As a blogger you find yourself in hell, and let's face it wouldn't we all like a chance to visit there. You're mission is to explore and get out of hell. The game offers a nice game play and a helpful "digital" hint system by the name of Sara. This game has a lot of humour, and it provides hours of entertainment. I loved all the copyright jokes. It doesn't contain rude…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game had been on my radar for a long time but bad reviews always put me off. I finally saw it on sale for just over €2 and bought it. The dialogues are a bit simplistic but there are a couple of funny moments. The game flows well, the in-game help is good (no need to look for walkthroughs) and, thanks to the nice voice acting, the two and a half hours or so are worth the full price of the game. Although the game is short, there is never the impression of seeing something cut or rushed.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Hell" no. Apart from the scenes which are quite beautifully drawn, the game is a serious pain. Main character is very annoying. NPCs are annoying and overly repetitive. Story is ridiculous (not in a good way). Gameplay is lacking: no quick jump screen, can't skip cutscenes, hotspot highlighting is a flash blink, character movements look unnatural, just to list a few. But the worst part: the puzzles are super weird and tedious even though there are not that many interaction points and objects…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Игра оставила очень приятное впечатление.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice adventure game. Cute graphics, interesting gameplay and funny jokes. All that you need to pass a couple of evenings. No bugs have been noticed so far.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's ok ... Basic short story. Not hard to play. Nice graphics. Voice acting is pretty bad. Would recommend getting in a sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let me start by saying the graphics are excellent, I love these types of fun quirky adventure games and I appreciate some of the humor. But the problem is at it's core it's really a trial and error mix n match fest and there's nothing worse. In any other game or scenario, you'd never try any of the rediculous combinations of items. Because I had to consult walkthroughs multiple times, it just wasn't fun anymore and I had to quit half way through. I really hope they can do better next time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun game that references Lucas Arts characters from prior games, famous people from real life, and more. In colorful fun-style art, you guide your blogger to Hell & back so he can create a viral video that will increase his views. I relied heavily on Sara (the humerous and droll helper whose icon is in the bottom right corner of your inventory bar}. There is no over-excessive collection of items. I recommend you try everything on everything and anyone, including your flying side kick…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →with my point and click games, I like a dark quirky Indy story line, with some self aware humour. got that, price was more then reasonable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked this game - it had decent voice acting - and some humour - reminded me a bit of The Wardrobe (which is better) - it's short - buy it on sale...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice adventure game. Funny, enjoyable. Old games spirit somehow.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sort game, but a lot of fun. The puzzles aren't too difficult, and the humour is brilliant. Take photos of EVERYTHING for achievements ;)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cute game with an amusing story but a little short and padded with a lot of walking since there's no double click to move screens
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well made, nice art style, and fun story. A bit short and not much replay value, but still overall a good game especially for the price. If you like point-n-click adventure games, this is pretty solid.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok game, which is "an obvious" first part in the series. Not too long, but it was fun, good voice actors, nice artrwork. Game is not that long, but at lest the puzzles are not too ridiculous. All in all worth a buy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Damn puzzles!&!erro#r
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game. It reminds me of classic adventure games. Maybe there will be a sequel....
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Angelo and Deemon: One Hell of a Quest, developed and published by Specialbit Studio, is a point-and-click adventure that embraces the classic roots of the genre while injecting a tongue-in-cheek modern twist. The story follows Angelo, a jaded video blogger desperate for viral fame, who unexpectedly finds himself in the afterlife when the Grim Reaper mistakenly brings him along on a job. Accompanied by his new companion, a snarky demon named Deemon, Angelo decides that documenting his journey…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed this game. Is it the best game ever made? No, but it is reminiscent of older point a click games that are not usually played any longer due to needing the old hardware to make them work. I was disappointed that it ended in an unfinished sort of way, but that's just the way it goes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was enjoyable, it had a level of sarcasm that was very tongue in cheek. The puzzles were not too complicated but still detailed enough to keep you interested. The little jokes throughout gave me plenty of laughs. If you are stuck on any of the achievements there are wonderful guides created by other players to help.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a nice adventure game. Not too long and not too difficult (although I used a walkthrough a few times, but that was also due to me being impatient). The graphics are nice, the voicing is ok, the story is so so. Too many 'jokes' about copyright to my liking, only once would have been more then enough. Looking forward to a sequel (it does end, but it also doesn't, it's more like half way through). I can't remember if I got it in a bundle or on sale. I see the regular price is 7,49 euro's at…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's short and funny. I did not expect something more from that, so I am fully satisfied with the expirience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very nice game. I recommend it - great world design, puzzles are relatively intuitive and fun, great voice acting, compensating for the subtitles where English is a bit wonky, but understandable. Overall a fun game from a nice studio.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice little adventure with funny dialogs. :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. I like it so far. Reminds me of some old-school point-and-click adventures.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun and not really hard with the option to use your sarah phone help
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was ok. I like the theme and art style, but the english translation needs improvement. Also, it's only 2+ hours long. Ignore my playtime.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This has a fascinating narrative, nuce use of characters, and nice use of mechanics. This story gets more fascinating as you move along in the game. 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →interesting game, very short. I love the artwork!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting story, nice artwork and a sense of humor to boot. Enjoyed playing it and will be keeping an eye out for the sequel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is very raw and not done to it's early idea. A lot of functional and non-functional bugs that even noob user will realize, especially with characters and animations. The game story is really fun and interesting, but because of the issues I mentioned above, all the fun is blew away. The top price for this game at this moment is about 0.5$ - 1$ not more then that. Good luck and play only good games!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was quite funny. I hope the sequel comes soon ;-)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not bad lot of too and fro got sick of that as no map but not bad game over all but wait for sale or get it cheap lot of chameos of other games and people not bad over all
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommended. A reference-dense point-and-click descent through a satirical Hell led by a dead vlogger chasing content, and the jokes land nearly every time. The Tab-highlight system surfaces every interaction cleanly, and the Sarah reminder tool on the smartphone gives hints most adventures refuse to offer, keeping soft-walls from hardening. The photograph-everything vlogger verb turns sightseeing into the sharpest running gag, and the puzzle chain (microwave-apple-magnet charging, a soul-swap…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The good: great jokes and surprisingly great dubs. Actually, I wasn't even expecting voice-overs for the price. The animations are fantastic, the voicework is great as well. The theme, the jokes mostly land. The bad: After some time, the puzzles don't make any sense, so don't look for it and I would advise watching a walkthrough of it instead. You lose nothing, except frustration.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It pains me to give a negative review to an indie studio, but there are just too many issues with this game for me to give a positive review. The graphics are fantastic -- kudos devs on the great art. But unfortunately that's pretty much the only part of the game I liked. The story is interesting in theory but kind of falls flat in practice. The puzzles are often nonsensical and poorly designed such that it's hard to know what you're supposed to do. But the worst part is Angelo. I hated…
