60 of 63 · most liked firstThis game is super satisfying in so many ways. The controls and physics feel extremely on point from your first play, and it's really fun to find shortcuts and grind speedruns in each level. I haven't had a look at the level editor yet, but excited to give that a go once I've finished the story levels. I hope this game gets some traction, even in early access there's so much bang for your buck and with more levels on the way, not to mention user created levels and speedrun leaderboards, this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a game I've been wanting since the original flash games a long time ago, It's a very fun game and I would recommend it! It has wayyyy more content than all the original flash games combined. I really enjoy the lore in this game, it adds so much more to it and makes it feel fuller, I would definitely recommend playing this!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amberial is a series that, for me, was something that I always found a tad confusing as a platformer series, at least at first anyhow, since it isn't your traditional' jump and run' style game with the usual controls that one might expect for these sorts of games in today's gaming scene. Perhaps it would be more accurate to describe Amberial as a series of 'physics-based' platforming levels that require one to look at the genre itself in a new light as they aim to navigate their way around the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game! Very fluid gameplay with exceptional sound effects and a gorgeous art style. Keen to see what the developers come out with next!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, great devs
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DISCLAIMER: I am one of the game's developers. Amberial Dreams is as much a game as it is a memorial. It is the evolved form of a design born in the 2000s as part of the independent Flash games movement, from a then-teenage mind. Amberial approaches the platforming genre from a “jumpless” perspective, which changes far more than it might seem at first. The lack of this ability means that the entire environment needs to be used in creative ways to make progress, and if there is something we’ve…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dreaming of having bought it | KAMGUSTA's MINI REVIEW I bought it, but developers said they ran out of activation codes, so I waited. And waited. Months. They never delivered. I had to buy it again. All I got was a ball randomly bouncing around with fuzzy physics in uninteresting levels with precision platforming and insta-death. As strange as it may seem, the first games (free Flash games dating back to 2007-2008) were better. They are included. You can also create your own levels. All to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amberial! The well-renowned Flash platforming franchise that demands you ask nicely for its mercy while it pelts you with bright colors & wondrous music to keep your attention. Not much can be said that deems it unworthy of your time, especially for the hard work everyone involved puts in for the sake of a solid platforming experience. Progression for Amberial is fairly steady, only throwing rebar in the cogs at random, which could be attributed to your own personal play style which it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →4.5/10 not a fan of the gameplay one hit death precision platforming as a ball....
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amberial Dreams is a remaster/remake of an ancient Adobe Flash game (we can see where this is going), but it's not badly done as far as could be expected given the limited scope. But that's all this is, ultimately, is a 2D retro platformer, with marble physics and a couple of Breakout-like elements as your ball bounces around the place... and yeah, all you have here is a ball. A couple of positive notes, I guess, the gameplay handling is really well polished and controls and plays well.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fantastically mesmerising experience from the second you load in. This game has so much to offer, you can spend hours in the title screens and campaign menu alone. Once you have accepted how epic the reactive soundscape is within the menus you can finally begin to start playing the actual game. Level difficulty ranges between all skill levels. I attempted an extremely hard level to understand how complex the mechanics can get and no I couldn't beat it after 200+ attempts. From custom maps…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the original Amberial and Amberial: Nebulosa Realms back in the heyday of Flash gaming, and they were exactly what you wanted a Flash game to be -- something that took a simple but interesting game concept and really focused on making an entertaining game out of that concept. Amberial Dreams is exactly what you want from a followup to a Flash game, in that it keeps the original concept that attracted me to the game in the first place, but really takes the space to develop and explore…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Adorable game, with simple yet highly enjoyable platforming
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good platform physics game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The OG, expanded. If you have played the flash Amberial games, this one is the apex of the series after nearly a decade and a half of development. At the time of review, this game is on Early Access, so as this game continues development, it will only get better and better.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great platformer, offers a lot of playability via trying to improve clear times, plenty of variety and fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite fun, getting used to the mechanics takes very little time
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rolls like a charm! Great platformer with nice feeling controls (Played with controller). Playing with momentum is a really nice change from the normal jumping platformers around. Lots to unlock and find, great flow there and music +sound design really ties it all together. Spiritual and dreamy feel is a great counter to the sometimes tough challenges. Aim for the moons! Much recommended
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game for children and adults. We started playing it and it has been very fun and challenging. We love the different avatars!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played the original since 2008/9! :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Taking the amazing concept of the original Amberial flash games with a new spin on decoration and gameplay, an absolute must-play if you loved the originals and an expansive early access title, especially at its current price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun and challenging platformer, but skip the last 7 level for your own sanity
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Always fondly remembered playing the first game as a kid numerous years ago and trying to bounce as high as possible on the springs. Only recently found out about this sequel. Awesome!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A puzzle platformer with no jump button seems insane but Amberial Dreams seems to pull it off. The gameplay is basically a puzzle platformer except the only control you have over the character is moving left and right. To navigate height and other seemingly impossible things to do without jumping, you use world interactions and your momentum. The difficulty ramp on this is exponential, it starts you off with some basics and then throws you right into it, further and further into the dream.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's pretty good, I've always liked the amberial series but i'm not sure if its just me or is the marble less controllable than the first two games? Something just feels off
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly a really fun and challenging physics puzzle game. I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with it, even when bashing my head against some levels (Looking at you, "Not Alone"). Very much worth the price!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A precision platformer with a unique twist: players control a bouncing ball that cannot jump. I've followed the development of this game for years when it used to be just a simple flash game. To see it in its current evolution and how far its come is amazing. It plays like a dream, better than ever. I wish steam reflected the hours I spent all those years on the flash versions of the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun 2D physics based precision platform et where you’re a ball that can’t jump, and you’re relying on the environment, physics, and inertia to traverse levels to the end. Each level is designed to be quick so it’s easy to pick up for a few levels and come back. User generated content is pretty great, too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Relax and enjoy the chill vibes as you roll and bounce through wonderland. Not just a unique physics-platformer with tight controls -- an aesthetic experience ripe for exploration that flows, effortless and elegantly simple from the moment you begin. Recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →honestly i love this game graphics are so unique not very expensive and the idea is cool :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If there is one thing I like, it is 2D physics-based precision platformer, and what do we have here? Yes, it is a 2D physics-based precision platformer. You control a ball or as the game calls it a sphere, and you have to get from point A in a level to Point B, in as fast a time as possible. You can only move the ball left or right, so have to make use of the environment to cleverly move you around the level. For example, hit a ramp at speed, or move onto a bouncing platform, move through an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game that scratches a speedrunning itch.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've always been fond of Amberial, and it's great to see it return as a fully-fledged title.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Favorite game. Amazing level editor. Comprehensive Dev
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Remember Amberial during the Flash days? I do. The visuals and sounds are great, okay'ish difficulty, the Atelier/Level Editor is a long overdue addition but good nonetheless and the Arcade is nostalgic. I don't have a comment about the story since I didn't care much about it. It's a pretty solid game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →im so happy this is a thing. the og games were my whole childhood
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2d marble blast platinum quest but theres no jump button
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is like you run out of good food to eat, but then you realize that Gordan Ramsey is your father and he cooks you the best meals ever over and over.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well developed, only played about a hour of it, however, it looks promising.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →no jump button 3/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A beautiful game with interesting physics - the bouncy avatar tales you on a musical and uplifting journey to the mysteriously charming world of dreams.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amberial Dreams was a dream in and of itself. From the underlying narrative, aesthetic visuals and seamless storytelling throughout it took me on a journey. I enjoyed being able to navigate the world created and adjust the difficulty to challenge myself. I was absorbed and enthralled and have taken a moment break to share my love. Keep creating epic and magical games like these!!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Clean, simple platformer with great movement depth. Really fun to speedrun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the animation and visual aspect overall probably the most attractive point for me. I believe it to have a strong gameplay experience providing different ways to interact with the game and intresting narrative and character design
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While its a unique game and has a really enjoyable soundtrack, I honestly don't really care enough to keep going. It's worth the shot if you got it from a humble bundle like I did because it was fun to play, but I just honestly don't see myself picking it back up.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like the sound design on this game, how everything somewhat musical each time you crash or touch something. It varies from feeling like a breeze to extremely challenging!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A jewel box of enchantment and music, immersing me in a world of wonder and imagination.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →wait, how do i get skins again?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would Recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Haven't played the actual game yet but the timer on the old flash port of nebulosa realms is running faster than it should, probably because the game is used to running on older/slower hardware. as a result, it is incredibly unforgiving if not outright impossible to get the lightning in certain levels. currently withholding judgement as what I am currently reviewing is not the main part of the game but other than that the old ports are pretty good and bring back old memories, even with the much…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I almost loved it, but then it's approximately a precision platformer. I do not question that some love went into the game's design and that there is no dearth of content. But quality is all over the place, and more often than not, gameplay is frustrating for the sake of frustration.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved the flash games but this game takes those to a whole new level. Really great aesthetics and challenges.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone with adhd this made me feel happy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amberial Dreams sets out to appeal to both casual and hardcore gamers with its momentum-based platforming and nails it. With two full campaigns, a detailed level creator for making your own levels, and countless other levels made by other players, I can highly recommend Amberial Dreams for those seeking a cheap yet content-packed platformer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like the 3D marble games but 2D, worth the price of admission.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Truly the "Dark Souls" of ball based puzzle games!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Devs are responsive quick to fix things it seems, and the core seems good, so I'm giving it a thumbs up. However, I currently cannot play the majority of the story, due to a bug.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I followed the development of this game from its early days, and it was awesome to see it released and how its small but strong community is still producing really creative levels all the time. I'm not much of a hardcore gamer, but Amberial offers options for players of all skill levels to enjoy it, and in the end it's fun to attempt to beat even levels that normally I wouldn't tackle, since you can practice with assists first to get good. The thing that I have the most fun with is the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amberial Dreams is a surprisingly deep physics-based platformer that completely won me over despite my initial skepticism about the no-jump mechanic — once it clicks, navigating levels by building momentum and using the environment feels incredibly satisfying and unique. The controls and physics are polished to a fine shine, and the three-medal system (Sun, Moon, Wing) gives each level real replay value whether you're a casual player or a speedrunner chasing tight par times. It's a genuine love…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amberial Dreams Time Played: 30-ish minutes before giving up to idle for cards. Last Played: 13th of December, 2025 While I remember disliking the demo to this, I then needed to get it for a Fanatical Bundle to give a discount, something that got me a bit excited on seeing it has Christmassy levels in the community contributions. Unfortunately, on just playing the tutorial, I was reminded of why I de-wishlisted it at first... Yay: + Very favoured art. + Atmospheric + Colourful + A…
