60 of 199 · most liked firstI purchased this game before it even released on Steam, directly from the Hanako Games website. If I understand correctly, Hanako is just the publisher. I put off completing it until now, and it pains me to say that while the first playthrough was alright, I didn't care enough about most the routes. Only Jessie's route was worth reading, and even then it was not particularly detailed and I wasn't that attached to the characters compared to other visual novels. Setting Overview You play as…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Little Lily Princess is lite on the Yuri, heavy on the drama and heartstring-tugging, and just right in the time-spent department. The story follows young Sara as she leaves her father in India to become a "proper English girl" at a school in London. There are ups and most certainly downs along the way. The common route is all about Sara, but the individual routes focus on the different girls/women that Sara meets while there and the relationships that develop. If you're looking for deep…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game moved me. This game is art. Through a combination of player choice, music, art, and writing this game moved me. I want to go replay this game right now. If you are looking for a game where you don't hate the protaganist and characters are not one dimensional and you aren't looking for waifu's but ride or die chicks then this is your game friend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a game that focuses more on telling a story than on particular dialogue choices but damn if it isn't a good story (and one that makes me curious about the material its based on, in fact)! The characters are wonderful and have their own motivations, even some of the crueler ones, In short, this game knows how to tug on your heartstrings and leave you a blubbering mess, whether out of joy or sadness and I couldn't recommend it more.

It appears that you have no relations and no home, and no one to take care of you [quote=Servant Cook] Well, see how much you like it, then! You're nothin' now, missy, do you hear me? Nothin'. [quote=Whitest Resident of Southall, West London] I am not dirty. I am a pure English girl from a good family. I don't even remember India! Great and captivating Yuri novel with an annoying rng, the game would be so much better off without it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game because I love Long Live the Queen. However this one was a massive disappointment after having played Long Live the Queen. Maybe I didn't realize that this is like a choose your own adventure book and all you really do is read and press the spacebar. You choose who you want to end up with and then read the story written about how you end up together. I personally need more involvement in the result of a game. I need a chance to fail or for something bad to happen because my…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't often give such praise, but A Little Lily Princess is one of the most unique, compelling visual novels out there - not only artistically impressive but also delivering a beautiful, touching story that will stay with you for a long time. It uses simple "dating sim" mechanics (resource management), but describing it us such or calling it a "yuri" game would be rather misleading. While there is some romance involved, it’s very mild and tactful and some routes are rather about friendship…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For those of you who are looking for LGBT representation and are hestitant about buying this game: Buy this game. It's adorable, faithful to the novel without sacrificing originality, and overwhelmingly heartwarming.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was really looking forward to play this, but..it's so boring. I like this kind of game and it's sad, when game which should be based on story, choices and good graphic has so few of it and nothing more to offer. 1) Story is very cheap, almost nothing at first half, than at second is very predictable. Actually the most of gameplay is about main character chit chatting and gossiping (and anything seems interesting in this conversations, but that doesn't mean that conversations are short, at…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great, in my opinion the best of the Hanako games. Long live the queen was just crazy hard (which was kind of the point) and this is easy in comparison. The story is based on the book the little princess set in Victorian era in London, England. If you enjoyed the book, the 1995 movie "A Little Princess" or the BBC production they did back in the 80s (yes, I am old) you will enjoy this. Black closet is fun... but a bit tedious to get all the routes, I think this game gets…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You play the game. Piece of cake. Everyone is happy, everything is fine. You're a Princess in all of her glory. Life slaps you back. Now you don't have anything. You rage, you cry, you curse. The little princess in the game never loses hope. You wish for Death to come and take the lives of the ones who mistreat your princess. You wish for revenge and pain inflicted upon them, The little princess just wishes to live on, always hoping. You see the light, the final turn of events. Life is bright…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a charming little yuri vn, and I liked the life that the (very light) management mechanics gave to the gameplay (especially since there's no choices to be made here beyond who you choose to romance) but as a huge fan of the original book, the story left me feeling pretty hollow. One of the great strengths of the book is the emotional connections that Sara forms, which sustain her through some absolutely dreadful experiences. And a lot of what makes this game shine is how it expands…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very adorable little story! The art is very polished and cute, and the main character is simply lovable! The girls are all very colourful (in more ways than one), and are depicted with a convincing depth and realism that you might not expect from something that looks so fluffy. Definitely get this game if you like well-written stories about relationships between well-realized female characters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →okay so, I haven't read the source material for A Little Lily Princess, but that didn't make the experience any less enjoyable for me. playing the game actually got me curious enough to look up Frances Hodgson Burnett's novel. as some people have mentioned before, you don't make any real choices throughout the story. this is NOT a game where your choices matter. you get to raise Sara's stats so you can see the other girls' events and therefore get into someone's route, but that's all that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Little Lily Princess has an enjoyable story and also pretty cute graphics – so I would recommend it for people who are just looking for it. So why don´t I recommend it here? I have played all routes in this game and I was really disappointed, so I try to explain you why… Every week you can gather some resources for spending them on extra events with other characters. First it seemed to be amazing and it remembered me on Long Live The Queen. But actually, all these resources give you just a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →quite fun, plays like "long live the queen" but you dont die. some mechanics get tedius by your 3rd playthrough, such as a random chance of learning nothing for a day. the plot on most paths is quite wonderful, i found myself fond of most of the characters(even lavina). found lotte to be creepy as hell though. fair warning, this story touches on the depths of despair. you WILL cry. for those familiar with "a little princess" the overall plot is loyal enough to the story, some extras are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent game written in an excellent English and French. It's not as long as I played it, I have the tendency to need "a few minutes to do something" and to forget that the game is open. I never read the book, and I'm practically sure that the relationships between Sara and the other characters when you follow their specific route don't lead to "romance" or rather "companionship", but I did appreciate all the details fit in. All the roads are completely different, they include both a main…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a heart-wrenching rollercoaster this gem of a VN is. The yuri is low-key but sweet. At times it feels as if the story is dead set on pulling your heart through your chest and stomping on it, and at times it fuels it with such ire and anger... (I have never hated any character in a VN more than I did in this one, -I'll let you guess who). There are 6 girl's perspectives to get through via a clever usage a point system (very simple), the art is simply stunning and along with a gentle score…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such a lovely game. It's got great characters who have more going on than they let you see at the start, and everyone's got their own flaws and quirks. Really makes me want to go back to the game later and finish all of the other routes. I especially loved how flawed the MC is, pride is a trait I haven't seen in many (female) MCs and it's refreshing. There are few CGs, but those that exist are beautiful, just like the art and music in general. I will say that at times there's just not a lot…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute VN about aristocrats. There isn't really anything in the way of dialogue choices, the gameplay basically consists of choosing which route you want to go down by rolling dice to get stats so you can go down a route. That said, if you go in primarily for the story it shouldn't dissapoint and has a very heartwarming story and a cute cast of characters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →'A Little Lily Princess' is based on the book 'A Little Princess' from Frances Hodgson Burnett and, while the game does take some freedom in rewriting parts of the story (mostly in form of yuri elements), it stays very close to the original. The game is quite short but incredibly well written, so well, that, as someone who has read the book, I have to say that this game might be even better than the book it's based on, even if the game alters some parts of the original story. In addition, the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I picked this up after loving the developer's previous game, Black Closet. Unfortunately, there's no game here to speak of. The only player input is to: (1) Choose five activities each week, to increase stats. Since there is almost no control over which stats increase, this is almost completely pointless and there is no reason not to select the same activities every week. It doesn't make any difference. (2) Once per week, choose which girl to talk to. I personally didn't find any of the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Personally I found the randomness of what resources you get for doing various activities throughout the week rather annoying. It's just frustrating to me to need certain resources to play a particular scene, only to have to rely on a 33.3% you will get what you need from the actives you picked. If I want to play a game with more random elements in it, I would choose a different type of game, not a VN. Clearly a lot of people really like the game, it's just not for me.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THE ORIGINAL STORY HAS BEEN GREATLY IMPROVED BY ADDING LESBIANISM.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very sweet. This version of Lavinia is really interesting and Jessie has my heart forever. Solid, fun game that builds on the pretty blatant subtext of the novel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting interpretation based on the book 'A Little Princess'. Perfect drawing + drama in the plot and we get magnificent VN. I wish there be more yuri, but hey, it's based on childish book. So very appropriate bought as well many thanks to artist she is one of my favorites.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is amazing how there are so many splendid stories and hidden gems in forms of Visual Novels around steam. Each and every one of these gems has some kind of special magic to them, and A little Lily Princess is no exception to this rule. I will approach this review from a more emotional and personal angle because in the end, this Novel touched me from exactly these angles. Nontheless I still try to avoid spoilers as much as possible. Everything this review hits upon can also be taken from…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game in a sale for 8,24€. I enjoyed it a lot and definitely recommend playing it. If you are indecisive about buying the game I hope my review can help you decide. The Story The story splits into 2 parts, the first where you are a rich princess-like girl and the second where you lose all your wealth . The Story sounds pretty cliche but is well executed, put together and each of the six available routes feel unique and fresh. The Gameplay Each week you can choose what you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a beautiful story. It is funny, heartbreaking, happy, and sad. Pros: - Great cast of characters - Beautiful story - More plot twists than an M Night Shyamalan movie. *Edit* - And beautiful soundtrack too. The BGM only adds to the emotion of the scenes. It is wonderful. Cons: - The Game wasn't longer. Rating: 9.90/10 I played about 8+ hours in the game, I pulled an all nighter so I could finish it. I did not want to stop, I HAD to see it through. I only did one ending, I am going to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a 10/10, made me feel good inside every time i finished a rout. I highly recomend picking it up, you wont regret it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recently finished all of the routes in the game, and I definitely recommend playing it. While I've played some mobile otome games before, this is the first visual novel that I've played. (Unless we count Long Live The Queen, which you should also check out.) -I really enjoyed the artwork and CG. -I liked being able to easily skip through scenes I've already done, making it easy to access events with other girls. -I'm fond of the writing within the game. I feel that it suits the time…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Adorable, beautifully written, and nothing that isn't age-appropriate for the young girls in the story (8 to 12-14ish.) There are no racy CGs or plotlines, just themes about friendship, hope, and young love. The main character is charming and interesting, and the girls she can get to know all have their own personalities and problems. There aren't a lot of choices to make other than picking your route and raising your stats enough to see events on the weekend, but it's well worth the read. Tip:…

I love the art and the general atmosphere, the writing is impeccable, and I absolutely adore Lavinia. She's one of my favourite love interests in any game: I love how conflicted and angry and intense she is. Her story has a lot of meat to it despite it being rather short, and I loved her enemies to girlfriends(? kinda things between them aren't that straightforward haha) relationship with Sara. You…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Warning: If your intent on finding a VN where choices are prominent and matter, this ones not it. I say that because there are basically no choices aside from choosing a girl to befriend and the management mini-game - even then that's a waste of your time. I got this game for $ 5.99 on SALE. Played it for a good hour until I realized it was pretty much a kinetic novel with time management. Now, I didn't know the game was based on a real-life novel at the time, and quite frankly in my opinion,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very cute, sweet, uplifting little game. I'll probably space out the playthroughs, as a lot of it is the same from one path to the next, but still very fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is perfect! The art is good, the story is well written and the music is fitting. I got every route and sadly there is nothing more to do, but this game is good enough to do some routes again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Who is ready to play A Little Lily Princess? A Little Lily Princess is a retelling of the classic novel A Little Princess in visual novel form with a Yuri Genre twist. Don't forget to check the game here: https://ratalaika.games/u/SfxQa

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, I've never written a review, but for some reason I feel obliged to write one for this game. I purchased a bundle with it couple of days ago, and since then Ive been playing it any chance I get. Perhaps it is due to my lack of gaming for past month, but "A Little Lily Princess" was like a breath of fresh air. At first, I thought it would be like an average visual novel, with some weird plot twists and goofy dialogue, but I was completely wrong. A beautiful tale, surprisingly well-written,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very cute VN based on the book A Little Princess. I don't normally go for yuri games but this one is focused on friendship, since the main characters are school-age (though there are some kisses). I love scheduling mechanics and this one has an interesting one where each action gives you one of three results. At first it was interesting, but then I felt frustrated because there wasn't a good way to strategize over decisions without save-scumming. Scheduling and who you spend time…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This VN is great. It starts off slow, what with being cutesy, and the characters seeming two-dimensional. However, this stops once you start having some of their events. The story takes an unexpectedly dark twist in the second Act, which just makes the VN even better; it tests the relationships you've already made with the girls, as well as your character's own will, and your own, to see this depressing tale to the end. It even manages to discuss issues like race and class, in a small cutesy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome game! I loved it! Jessie is best >u< ! !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The story is great until the last few lines of dialogue that abruptly and unsatisfyingly end the different routes. I still recommend it for everything leading up to it though, and what is there is cute - albeit brief and not satisfying..
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lavinia best girl
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was such a delightful VN; I was moved to tears a number of times. A Little Lily Princess tells a beautiful story of hope, kindness, and resilience -- while also managing to largely avoid the problematic implications Cinderella-like stories can sometimes have. Emotional suppression is not glamorized, and I can see that care was taken to make it clear that one's lot in life is not determined by what one "deserves" (i.e., bad circumstances don't mean you're a bad person, and good…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →--- Review after finishing the game for the 1st time --- "A Little Lily Princess" is absolutely wonderful game. While having an amazing art style and pretty good soundtrack, the thing I loved the most in the game was how it allows player to feel like he's having a real friend who cares about him without considering his wealthiness first (could depend on route, I'm talking about Ermengarde). Another great addition is the fact that the game is literary adaptation itself ("A Little Princess" by…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great story. I came here for the cute girls and yuri, but this is about so much more: it explores dynamics between the rich and the poor, the weak and the powerful, sexism, classism, the worth of kindness or charity... I'm writing as if this is homework for Lit. class. Look, it's just a good game that is much deeper than you might think.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Game is based on "A Little Princess" which was written by Frances Hodgson Burnett. At first I thought the game was nothing special yet another Visual Novel, but how terribly wrong I was. The story is so great that I couldnt stop reading further and furhter. If you are enjoying reading VNs then you should check this one out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Literally cannot recomend this game enough. Its pouring charm out of every part. Absolutely pick this game if you have even a passing intrest in visual novels
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This visual novel surprised me. I was expecting it to be overly cute, but there's not much room to be picky with Yuri visual novels so I tried it. I ended up really liking it. It certainly starts out a little on the cute side, but it got more serious as the game went on. It even got fairly dark. The writing was great for all characters, and I was fully immersed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cute, sweet simple game based on a well known story. Pros: - The save feature is available on every screen, so you can save as often as needed. - Loading a save is extremely quick and easy. - The skip feature works well and automatically stops skipping when you encounter text that you haven't seen before. Cons: - The story/game is a little short, and the main story doesn't change, but it's still quite enjoyable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To be honest, I enjoyed the game until the second half, after that, I just despised Lavinia and Miss Minchin. I actually expected a Princess Maker style game and was a bit disappointed by what I got. Now, That I have completed everything this had to offer, I must sadly say that the English is quite flowery at times and I had to google to understand what was meant. Furthermore, I got angry multible times throughout my playthroughs and had to make pauses, about 3 per route. TL;DR: More a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i REALLY adored this game!! there's so much i could say about it honestly, but just know that it's a bittersweet story about a girl who is sent off to school in england and suddenly loses everything. i love all of the girls so much. theyre each unique in their own ways and reading through their routes made me so happy. if you're coming into this expecting complete gl content, you may be a little upset, but it's seriously so good. out of all six routes: two are platonic, two are vaguely…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game tried really hard to make me cry and it very nearly succeeded. Definitely worth what I paid for it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's been a while since I've read A Little Princess , but I thought the writing in this game was top-notch. Each of the routes were at times funny, heart-breaking, touching, and fantastical -- evocative of the original novel it was based on. Sara, of course, is the star, but I was pretty impressed with the characterization and expansion of what I believe were fairly minor characters (e.g. Jessie and Mariette, who I don't even recall... like I said, it's been a while). The vignettes that…
