7th Sector is set in a dystopian future and is a sidescrolling puzzle platformer. Some of the platforming can be a bit punishing at times and the puzzles are sometimes very hard but fair. The level designs are always changing and you get to play the game from an array of perspectives. Which is great when you are getting bored of a particular mechanic or are anticipating what change will come next. I have waited a while for a game like this and have been disappointed by the other…

One of the most impressive puzzle games on Steam, sparking (literally :) original ideas. Although it tells the story almost without words, it draws the player into its dystopian atmosphere, reminiscent of a game Inside. * Concept was good. The way a single electrical creature interacts with various objects such as TV and robots was unique. Overall, game system was similar to Limbo, but controls were not good. And puzzles are sometimes irrational. It originally provided hints for puzzles, but the PC version doesn't offer them at all. Completeness is great, but it doesn't take into account the player's point of view enough. * 컨셉은 좋았습니다. 하나의 전기적 생명체가 TV, 로봇 등 다양한 사물과 상호작용하는 방식이 독특했습니다. 전체적인 게임 시스템은 Limbo와 비슷했지만…

Attention! If you want to get all endings and achievemnts in one playthrough do not solve transformers puzzles on your first one. There is only one drawback in this game, which at the same time is also its feature: nobody is gonna explain you what to do. No it's not a sandbox which gives you tools to use as you want, this is a side-scroller puzzle with a few inserts of action. Then you might have a question like, "eh, how can you not know what to do in a linear game, you just go forward and…

I love a good puzzle game. I love a game with great story, environment and depth. However what I don't like is a game that gives you nothing in the ways of an explanation. There isn't much story except you're some kind of mechanical intelligence coming to life and trying to explore and adapt to your surroundings. I didn't get very far in the game and there is a reason for that. The puzzles in this game are simply too hard. Every puzzle needs a catch. It needs a clue or a hint otherwise it…

Really should have been one of the candidates for "Outstanding Visual Style" -award of past year. 7th Sector comes from the same developer as 35MM, which was quite slow but atmospheric, first person exploration game, so it is somewhat surprising that 7th Sector is really different having a 2D gameplay and is based more logical puzzle solving. Nevertheless, both of them have really interesting environment and post-apocalyptic Russia has changed to futuristic dystopian world full of dangers and…

Thought it was another type of game then entered the factory and completely went off the rails for me. Dying over and over on sections that made no sense, just totally lost interest. The timing puzzles with instant death are just nonsensical.

7th Heaven Honestly? I thought this was simply superb. I'm so used to most all Playdead-esque sidescroller games showing their more budget nature at the seams that this solo developer title just left me impressed. Like Toby: The Secret Mine, Albert and Otto, Selma and the Wisp, etc, this ain't. As I've already just flirted with, it would be easy to label this into submission. It's a cyberpunk Limbo/Inside. It's a linear sidescroller puzzler heavy on vistas and wordless background…

Good idea with real real real bad controllability. I like all these atmosphere, puzzles and background story, its a good game if they are what this game all have. But these are some quests which need you manipulate deftly and that is where questions comes from. First, when I use keyboard you tell me I can use A and D to move, and then, in some vertical path, I find it hard to move without W and S, they also work! And weird delay of input makes it difficulty to move precisely, well ,then I face…

This has a wordless narrative, so all of the story has to be gleamed from visual events in the game and how well it's design communicates these understated revelations. The futuristic world of 7th Sector isn't far removed from ours: it's ruled by technology and the rich still run it. Behind the gleaming buildings being buzzed around by sleek flying cars, and past the idyllic parks with lush greenery, there is a dank underbelly. Pull back the curtain of sophistication, and the veneer of…

I was a fan of 35mm and The Light, and both those games with the damn controls! Thankfully in those two games they didn't get in the way so much as to keep me from enjoying them. 6/10 from me. 7th Sector has an interesting tone and somewhat intriguing setting, but ultimately I was never really attracted to its story nor immersed in the world. To story was too unclear and the setting only vaguely presented, with a lot of random things affecting your end-game outcome. And PLEASE don't play this game with m&k, the controls are absolutely horrible and unintuitive, you will quickly get frustrated, this game was made to be played with a controller. It is not a bad game,…

I wanted to like this game. I really did. The originality of the premise, the variety of gameplay, and the excellent scene design never stopped impressing me. But a puzzle game lives and dies on the quality of its puzzles, and 7th Sector let me down too many times to recommend. Anyway, here are my thoughts: Pros: - An incredibly imaginative premise involving a sentient spark of electricity traveling along a wire that eventually travels through a variety of robot bodies. - Amazing scene design…

One of the roughest hidden gems on steam 7th Sector is a cinematic sidescroller/platform in the vein of games such as Inside and Limbo with a great presentation and aesthetic but is brought down by some unique and frustrating puzzles. Worth a shot if you're into these sort of games like i am but be prepared to get lost at some parts.

I wanted to love this game but it pissed me off so bad, and I believe it's not my fault. Puzzles are sometimes unfairly hard, and if that's not enough, they CHANGE. And if that's not enough, your progress is NOT saved after all of them. If you quit, you need to suffer through them again. And now they are different, so it's hard again. I would've LOVED to explore this universe, it was beautifully done, with amazing sound design. But it just led me to unprecedented levels of frustration.

This game is a Masterpiece! Now... There are some negative reviews pointing out the clunky mechanics in the first section of the game (switching between cables). I understand how this sounds, but bear with me, there is a lot more to this game than that. When I played this game, I approached it with curiosity and a relaxed state of mind. 7th Sector is a thoughtfully constructed indie puzzle-adventure that distinguishes itself through atmosphere, restraint, and a strong trust in the player’s ability to observe and reason. Developed and published by Носков Сергей, the game drops players into a bleak cyberpunk world with very little explanation, immediately establishing a tone of mystery and unease. Rather than opening with exposition or dialogue, it begins with an abstract concept: you control a spark of energy navigating cables,…

Inspired by Inside this game is a 2.5D platformer with no dialogue that relies on visual story telling. Much like those games the tone is dark and depressing - a dystopian future. And you explore said world while also evading ones that are trying to destroy you. You witness a lot of things in the background that reveal a lot of what is going on in the grand scheme of things. There are a few endings this game offers and I do say I prefer the one I got going in blind. There are collectibles for…

I was very into this game earlier, I wrote positive review about this, I love the puzzles and atmosphere. After the half of the game, I'll just give you an example. In the scene of trying to lower switches 1 2 3 4 5, a robot is chasing you and you need to hide in lockers to make it pass. In this way you'll be able to lower switches without getting caught. You also need to lower them in order. Dev put them in from left to the right like 5-1-4-2-3 (your exit is left of the scene btw). Which…

Ah yes. Another game that could have been great but it's gonna get a thumb down from me. The game is very similar in genre to the old french classic "Another World". It's a serie of levels where you have to guess the interactions through a freeform gameplay. Mostly logic puzzles and a few action scenes. It's very moody and cinematic. TOTALLY CLUNKY!! Switching between cables is SUPER CLUNKY! In a game, where the first half is... Switching between cables! Also, the movement: You steer your blip of light with WASD. Cable goes to the left. You press A. Cable goes up slightly, only a few degrees: Better press W, too, or your blip grinds at the edge of the cable and slows down to zero. And it is things like that which hinder this bad game from being a cool game. Atmosphere is a straight 10, but if you screw up the gameplay…

Particularly like being dumped straight into it with no instruction or hand holding, you have to work everything out for yourself. You know what, i also like the annoying tedious regions. It would be boring if everything was easy. It seems to be like Limbo and Inside, but it is different enough and has way more variety. Things are not explained and so you have to find things out yourself, listen to audio cues or maybe lookup the solution here and there. Tedious regions are tedious and cannot be rushed. Fitting length. Beautiful. It's a winner and i don't get the many bad reviews.

Simple puzzle game, but there is no hints to those puzzles so some of them may be kinda imposibble to solve (as it was for me, I needed to find a guide). But overall it was kinda great. You collect data (12 of them i think), complete puzzles, hide (just a little there is an enemy sometimes), some parts require a good timing, some require a ****ing godlike timing. The game has 4 endings, you don't need to play the game 4 times (just 2 times), you just have to load specific chapter.

Simply put, 7th Sector is a fun and creative puzzle game. Much like games such as Inside, it's got nice graphics, a confusing story, and pretty cool and straight forward puzzles to solve. At first, I was hesitant on playing it, but once in it, I realized that you can't really judge certain games by the cover. With that being said, I recommend anyone at least try the game out. It's worth it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQY3gAayccA
