60 of 64 · most liked firstI think the trailer gives too much away*, but I also think horror fans are gonna like Primate when it opens next month. it's basically a chimp slasher movie. from the director of 47 Meters Down and The Strangers 2. the good Strangers 2. from 2018. * I always think this.
unlabelledView post →Sharks consider 47 METERS DOWN UNCAGED a home invasion horror film.
unlabelledView post →Up next from Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down) is PRIMATE, described as “an unbelievably entertaining horror film, filled with gory mayhem.” The film has set an early 2026 release date ahead of its Fantastic Fest premiere next month:
unlabelledView post →#NowWatching 47 Meters Down: Uncaged (2019 Johannes Roberts) Maybe my favourite shark movie after Deep Blue Sea and Jaws. A truly bananas premise (mutant sharks trap high school divers in an ancient underwater temple) that delivers thrills in spades. Also, Aztec Camera's Somewhere in my Heart.

unlabelledView post →In his introduction for the #FantasticFest premiere of his new film #Primate, 47 METERS DOWN and THE STRANGERS: PREY AT NIGHT director Johannes Roberts said “I’m sorry for #ResidentEvil” and I have *so* many questions for him because the floodgates have opened.
unlabelledView post →We got another good shark movie! Incredible dumb, but a whole lot of fun. Reminded me of 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, which is always a good thing. Currently sitting at a 1.9 on Letterboxd, which is frankly a travesty for something as fun as this.
unlabelledView post →Wowzers. I’m striking out on movies tonight. A paranormal documentary was a dud. A Latvian horror film wasn’t the right fit. Another movie was off-synch with the audio and visuals. Now I’m hoping 47 Meters Down hits the spot. 🦈🤞🏻🦈
unlabelledView post →This movie really is just a mash up of The Descent and 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, but with crocodiles.
unlabelledView post →Currently watching 47 Meters Down. Not my favorite Shark movie but for a late-night, turn-off-your-brain movie, you could do a lot worse! #horror #horrorsky #sharkmovies
unlabelledView post →Okgoreberfest Film 45: 47 Meters Down: Uncaged Because sometimes all your brain can accommodate is a silly killer shark movie and this fits that bill perfectly
unlabelledView post →My ★★★ review of 47 Meters Down on @letterboxd: boxd.it/kqvYD
unlabelledView post →Didn't realize until now Primate is coming from the same director as this movie. Guess he found better luck focusing on the horrors of a tiny crazed ape, rather than trying to mash together two games on a low budget. I haven't seen either 47 Meters Down movies so I can't really comment on those.
unlabelledView post →Decent that. Mandy Moore's great #FilmSky My ★★★ review of 47 Meters Down on Letterboxd boxd.it/7BfRPb
unlabelledView post →I finally watched this last night. It was good. I’ve come to realize movies like this (and stuff similar to it like 47 Meters Down) is what makes me scared and uncomfortable. I can watch all the gory/weird horror and I never flinch or get jumpscared. This movie though? I was CLENCHED.
unlabelledView post →Just watched: Fall This had about the same amount of “realistic” as 47 Meters Down. Pissed me off from the opening scenic, had me sweating for almost 2 hours, could never be me up there, but do I want to watch the second one? Obviously. #moviesky #fall #thriller #survival #psychologicalthriller
unlabelledView post →#NowWatching 47 Meters Down (2017) dir. Johannes Roberts 1st viewing, can't believe I'm watching a film starring Mandy Moore, but here we are 🦈
unlabelledView post →For me it was 47 Meters Down Uncaged, probably the closest I came to yelling at movie to fucking end.
unlabelledView post →47 Meters Down is very very solid of a shark movie (and has an abyss scene that terrified me).
unlabelledView post →I don't think anyone ever said "I want TWO games adapted in one movie", which WTRC did, and they got the director of "47 Meters Down" and "Strangers sequel nobody talks about" to make it. This is like calling Fantastic Four unadaptable pre-2025, because all the other attempts were terrible.
unlabelledView post →PRIMATE rips (off faces) -- a lean, old school, meat-and-potatoes creature feature done right. Director Johannes Roberts is also behind 47 METERS DOWN and its criminally underrated/unhinged UNCAGED sequel. In a just world, he should be given the $$ to make any "nature gone wild" flick he wants.
unlabelledView post →Did you see the shark attack movie the same director made? 47 Meters Down? It’s pretty decent as well.
unlabelledView post →This is a pretty interesting movie, in my opinion. I watched it because I enjoy gator movies. Also, because the producer worked on 47 Meters Down. Fall was an okay movie. The betrayal in that one pisses me off. #movieopinion #thebayou2025 #movie
unlabelledView post →There’s nothing like a cracking shark film…. And 47 Meters Down is NOTHING like a cracking shark film. Save yourself some time and rewatch Jaws for the umpteenth time. 🦈
unlabelledView post →Have you seen the second 47 Meters Down movie? With the cave sharks? It's pretty fun.
unlabelledView post →47 Meters Down: Uncaged (2019) - The first was fine, but Uncaged upped the ante tenfold. A favourite Shark Movie from recent years. Bait (2012) - Far better than the “Shark in a Supermarket” premise suggests. The Reef (2010) - Definitely one of the more “solid” entires. Far better than its sequel.
unlabelledView post →This movie is better than I was expecting. It is definitely more in the 47 Meters Down category and not something that's intentionally bad just to be bad. It's a real movie that is actually trying. Pretty tense at times. The people are mostly stupid and some are really easy to hate, but that's fine.
unlabelledView post →One of my friends worked as a set builder on 47 METERS DOWN. It was the first film he ever worked on. Unfortunately his phobia of sharks means he can never watch it 🦈
unlabelledView post →32nd movie of 2024: 47 Meters Down (2017). Two sisters on vacation in Mexico get stuck in a shark cage without enough oxygen. A pretty standard survival movie with some pretty sub-standard effects. Matthew Modine does a capable job as one of the diving instructors but that's about it. #FilmSky 📽️
unlabelledView post →Spooky movies day 9: 47 Meters Down: uncaged. I didn't realise this was a sequel, i don't know if i missed something, but this movie was not suspenseful or any of the things it was supposed to be. But the shark was cool.
unlabelledView post →Glaube eher dass sich der Film mit seiner Prämisse selbst so limitiert hat, dass da nicht viel mehr möglich war. 47 Meters Down fand ich im Vergleich um Welten besser, den kann man mal mitnehmen.
unlabelledView post →Last movie I saw alone was 47 Meters Down Uncaged, which I watched 3 times straight in the theater before the 4th with my brother because I am a shark nut. Prior to that it was Saw 4 in like 2007 and for some reason at the end of that someone threw a big cup of pop on me and called me a nazi.
unlabelledView post →'Tis the season for cheesy shark movies, so I watched 47 Meters Down again, which actually isn't really a cheesy shark movie at all. It's more of a survival horror film. The sharks are only a plot device. High art it's not, but it's actually not that bad once you get past the silly exposition at the beginning. I mean, you have to get the characters underwater somehow, right? #Movies #47MetersDown
unlabelledView post →Double digits now with the back half, 47 Meters Down: Uncaged (2019). I may have seen this in the theater since it released after the dawn of Moviepass, but those were the hazy times and I don’t recall it. Definitely didn’t know Sophie Nélisse in 2019 and she was the point of the double feature
unlabelledView post →The count is nine after 47 Meters Down (2017). The front end of a planned shark doubleheader even though I don’t usually like shark movies. This one worked better in that there weren’t really any scenes where the person had to out swim a shark, or engage in melee. Reminded me a lot of Fall

unlabelledView post →11.) 47 Meters Down: Uncaged Peril movie 👍 Very bad Produced incredibly cheap, the main set looked like something out of Legends of the Hidden Temple, more contrived than you’d expect, and a fish screamed at a lady. It made a lil’ poison headcrab sound. Best part of the film!
unlabelledView post →Primate (2026): With the caveat that I was way too harsh to The Strangers Prey at Night at the time, let alone with everything that's followed since in the franchise, holy shit this is otherwise the best Johannes Roberts-directed film by miles. Where was this guy, it sure wasn't 47 Meters Down.
unlabelledView post →What is it about “We’ve Only Just Begun” by The Carpenters that horror movies love so much? In the Mouth of Madness, 1408, 47 Meters Down. Okay, the last one isn’t horror, but it’s used during a scary/stressful scene in the movie.

unlabelledView post →75. 47 Meters Down: Uncaged Abysmal Dogshit ✋😐✋ Worst Movie I've seen all year Boring as shit Ungodly slow Shitty acting Not even fun bad Obsessive number of slow-mo shots Nothing makes any sense More boring than sitting in an empty room doing nothing I can't remember a single character's name
unlabelledView post →47 Meters Down is the best shark movie 🦈.
unlabelledView post →The worst I’ve seen is probably some z grade movie I can’t remember but usual go to is Grizzly 2 but that a lot to do with it never really being finished. But an actual finished one, probably 47 Meters Down 2, that movie did not work for me and me muttering “Just end it already”.

This movie is a disaster and one of the worst films of 2019. 0/10 and full @letterboxd.social review below. #horror #ukhorror #sharks boxd.it/7SxE2p

Dude’s got juice.
