Ynglet
Developer Nifflas
In Ynglet, you jump, dash, slide, bounce and float your way through an abstract, effervescent sky. Melt into the reactive, dynamic soundtrack, while beautiful colors make every moment a visual treat. From the Steam store page

Curses make it harder. I don't think anyone will beat the game with all curses enabled at once.

Once your comfortable with the movement this game rules. short experience but the way the music matches the gameplay and how fluid the movement is makes this special 8/10

unlabelledView post →There is an achievement in @nifflas.bsky.social's Ynglet that requires you to physically play the game in Copenhagen at each of the places that are named for the stages, then press Shift+1 during the final cutscene to confirm you've done that. Of course, Ynglet can't confirm that you actually went.

unlabelledView post →No problem. I appreciate the info. I'm not sure if dashing with a keyboard still works at all in the latest version of Ynglet, though. Some time ago, someone said they couldn't figure out how, so I fired up the game and couldn't find a way to do it either. What keyboard button is supposed to do it?
unlabelledView post →Got the Steam Deck OLED yesterday and played through Ynglet (by @nifflas.bsky.social ) on it. Absolutely gorgeous looking game on the OLED. Also great on the big screen although I think Steam Deck only does like 720p. Steam Deck is basically my Ynglet machine now

unlabelledView post →In Ynglet, the game was mainly designed for gamepad. I did support mouse too as a fallback, and as an afterthought I realized some might prefer moving around with arrows/wasd. So I wasn't prioritizing the time investment. A particular thing about keyboard is very painful (1/?)

The game links your motion to the music and art through a procedural generation that creates a unified whole. triple-topping.itch.io/ynglet
