When he cast her as Laura‘s mom in Wild at Heart it felt like the world then really understood her brilliance." variety.com/2025/film/ob...

unlabelledView post →Recently my family was away for the weekend and I had myself a big ol physical media film festival for one. Over two days I watched Thief, Slacker, Singin In The Rain, The Piano, Malcolm X, Near Dark and Wild At Heart. That was one great freaking weekend.

He gave it 4 stars and said he "forgave" Lynch for Lost Highway and Wild At Heart because they were necessary to make Mulholland Drive I mean it's a good movie but I don't know what separated it to Ebert from those, other than hot girls kissing

unlabelledView post →Tonight’s movie: David Lynch’s WILD AT HEART, one of the few movies I actually own on physical media because it’s not available on any streaming platforms. And at the moment, no streaming platforms are available at my house. This is a seriously strange movie.

unlabelledView post →I saw a preview of the TWIN PEAKS pilot at the Museum of Broadcasting in Mar, 1990 as an NYU film school student and it changed my life. WILD AT HEART, FWWM, LOST HIGHWAY, THE STRAIGHT STORY, and MULHOLLAND DRIVE were all opening night watches, but TWIN PEAKS is in my soul. Thank you, David Lynch.
unlabelledView post →There’s no movie that’s more RGG coded than the part in Wild at Heart where Nic Cage and Laura Dern are dancing in the club, then they get in a fist fight with some goons, then the band hands Nic Cage a mic and he immediately starts doing Karaoke
unlabelledView post →If I want to watch Wicked 1 & 2 with the original movie what order should I do it in? I’ve seen this suggested as the simplest: Wild at Heart Wicked 1 Wicked 2 But I think mixing it up more could work?
unlabelledView post →I had a wonderfully weird neighbourhood friend when I was a teenager that LOVED movies. The quintessential movie nerd. Looking back now, it's wild the flicks he'd seen considering we were like 13 years old. He showed me Wild at Heart one summer, that was my introduction to Lynch. We lost a legend.
unlabelledView post →I’ve never seen Wild at Heart and it’s not on any streaming services here, so the other day I asked for it at my public library. The assistant who helped me was thrilled—she was the one who’d ordered it for their DVD collection because it’s her favorite David Lynch movie. Libraries are good.

What are yours? • Fight Club • Naked Lunch • Wild at Heart • Institute Benjamenta • Devil in a Blue Dress • Picnic at Hanging Rock

Lynch's offbeat romance offers road movie w/ forbidden love, numerous weirdos, & a few assassins. Dern's real mom, Diane Ladd, scored Oscar nom as mother who'll do anything to break up young lovers. #filmsky 📽

Wild at Heart means the only David Lynch features not in the Collection are Dune and The Straight Story, safe to assume a box set is coming. Harold and Maude had been OOP for a few years, now back in 4K.

Other noms: *Scorsese's Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore (Flo) *Absolutely unhinged in Lynch's Wild at Heart #filmsky 📽

One of the greatest movie theater experiences if they actually play the sound at the levels it’s supposed to be at. #DavidLynch

Not for macabre humor, offbeat violence, or inherent strangeness (although these don't hurt), no. Heart swoons when Cage croons. With he & Dern, romance is alive & unwell. #filmsky 📽

unlabelledView post →WILD AT HEART, a lovers-on-the-run novella adapted to film by David Lynch, is one of those books that reads less like a taut narrative than a collection of quirky conversations. Sounds annoying, I know. But good writing washes away all sins, and Gifford’s characters won me over. Recommended.
unlabelledView post →Apparently while they were filming Wild At Heart, Laura Dern told Nic Cage that she'd been offered a part in Jurassic Park but wasn't sure about saying yes, and Cage replied "you always say yes to the dinosaur movie". Which is a bananas statement because there hadn't ever been a good dinosaur movie
