Werewolf by Night
On a dark and somber night, a secret cabal of monster hunters emerge from the shadows and gather at the foreboding Bloodstone Temple following the death of their leader. In a strange and macabre memorial to the leader’s life, the attendees are thrust into a mysterious and deadly competition for a powerful relic—a hunt that will ultimately bring them face to face with a dangerous monster. unlabelledView post →WEREWOLF BY NIGHT is the best MCU film, with an overly qualified cast grounding a delightfully ridiculous premise, an effective combination of CGI and practical effects, and style to spare. The director is also the composer, and the clarity of vision that breeds is evident on the screen.
unlabelledView post →#NW Werewolf by Night (2022) 🎬 This was directed by Michael Giacchino, who did the score for The Batman (2022), which I absolutely LOVE and listen to frequently. I’m really excited for this 🥰 #100HorrorMoviesin92Days
unlabelledView post →Werewolf By Night feels like the kind of thing Marvel streaming OUGHT to be producing: short, focused, brimming with that good spooky atmosphere, and a really solid showcase for these obscurities who maybe couldn't hold down a whole movie, it gets these guys over really well especially Manthing

unlabelledView post →Someone in thy HDG server (because of course) shared this gif of Man Thing. Apparently there was a Werewolf By Night movie in 2022 and I missed even hearing about it? I guess I don't know what I don't know about the MCU, but it's still wild to me that any of it passes under my radar.
unlabelledView post →Werewolf By Night #26. Hangman abducts the Hyde type dude from hospital to execute at the hall of justice. A movie theatre that defined his concept of good and evil. Wolf messes it up and the cops arrest Hangman for b&e.
unlabelledView post →Thatcher also gave a marvelously unhinged performance in Werewolf By Night (2022), with perhaps the most “terrrrrrrible” Scottish accent committed to film. He’s awesome!
unlabelledView post →Werewolf by Night, I'd class as like a made for TV movie. Only just recently watched it, a lot of campy fun that requires no MCU familiarity.
unlabelledView post →Finished Agatha, finally watched Werewolf by Night (loved it and I’m livid there hasn’t been a direct follow up to Elsa and Jack’s respective stories yet now), now I’m watching the Black and White Wolf Man movie. Maybe Creature from the Black Lagoon next.
unlabelledView post →Thinking about the fact that WEREWOLF BY NIGHT is both the only post-ENDGAME Marvel movie I would willingly own on physical media and the one I can't.
unlabelledView post →Werewolf by Night feels like a movie that would have been hyped up for years and then at the last second Disney swoops in and changes everything to fit in the wider canon like they did with Ant-Man and countless others, but nope, WBN just gets to exist
unlabelledView post →Werewolf By Night #19. Jack fights actors that Dracula turned on a Moon movie set. His frenemy wolf neighbor helps defeat them. They find a book with a cure. But it's to kill another werewolf under a full moon.
unlabelledView post →I have the scene in my head where they’re making a movie using the Werewolf By Night debut as a basis, and as they’re filming it starts unlocking more memories and Stephanie starts freaking out until she literally sees Khonshu going “Where the hell have you been?”
unlabelledView post →Werewolf By Night. Okay, it stops being a black and white film at the end, but still.
unlabelledView post →I'll tell you what, Marvel Zombies is definitely going on the rotational docket of my yearly Horror movie marathons. Third MCU project to be part of it next to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Werewolf By Night.
unlabelledView post →AD: Tom Cruise is...Digger MY BROKEN BRAIN: It's about time they made a movie about the host of Marvel's 1969 horror anthology series "Tower of Shadows". Between this and the Werewolf by Night special maybe this means they're working towards a Night Shift movie, Avengers style.
unlabelledView post →I like thiscidea but it would maybe be more suited to a special (like how Werewolf By Night was for Marvel) than a feature length film
unlabelledView post →Francesco Francavilla’s wondrous alt-movie poster for 2022’s Werewolf By Night, a film that I liked very much indeed.
unlabelledView post →Werewolf By Night #23. Atlas comes after Buck in his murder spree of everyone involved in the movie that disfigured him. Buck shoots him and he drowns in wet cement on the walk of fame.
unlabelledView post →Yeah that's great and all but what I want to happen is Issac's Moon Knight, with Gosling's Ghost Rider, Mahershala Ali's Blade and the Werewolf By Night cast in a Midnight Son's movie
unlabelledView post →I wish the MCU would do more with Elsa Bloodstone... and Werewolf by Night... and Man-Thing... They exist in the MCU... in one (holiday) movie
unlabelledView post →My top 25 favourite Comic book movie adaptations Last Day: Werewolf by Night (2022) I've posted full length movies each day, but I wanted to save a great mini movie for the last post.
unlabelledView post →Werewolf by Night One of the best parts of Phase 4. An amazing black and white horror film in the style of the Universal movies. Marvel doing something wild and strange. This is also where I need to point out that we haven't gotten near how weird the MCU can go. We need more of this. 16/x
unlabelledView post →Four monster-filled Marvel comics which all went on sale on this very date in 1972. It was a mere 51 years ago. The brief 70s horror boom in US comics soon petered out, but it was often great fun. Michael Giacchino’s Werewolf By Night movie in 2022 really caught the era’s spirit.
unlabelledView post →My advice: while they’re working on Ghost Rider, also do a second Werewolf By Night on the side, with a Moon Knight cameo. Then introduce Blade as the lead-in for a Midnight Sons movie, with Blade, Ghost Rider, WbN, Dr Strange and Moon Knight.
unlabelledView post →This was my list for this year. It’s been a blast, I’ve had to deviate a few times to watch some things with the kids, but still great. Week 1 - Classic Monster Foundations Oct 1 - Frankenstein (1931, B&W) - Boris Karloff at his best. Oct 2 - The Wolf Man (1941, B&W) - Lon Chaney Jr.’s tragic werewolf tale. Oct 3 - Dracula (1931, B&W) - Bela Lugosi’s iconic “I vant to suck your blood.” Oct 4 - Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954, B&W) - Lagoon monster camp perfection. Oct 5 - King Kong…

unlabelledView post →Ooooohhhh, she's the same lady that's in the black & white short film Werewolf By Night that Marvel did!! I though that might've been her! Tho I don't remember her being British. It's been a minute since I saw it, maybe I just forgot 🤭
unlabelledView post →Werewolf by Night sequel is supposedly going to be a Midnight Suns movie so that's SOMETHING
unlabelledView post →Taking a breather would have been fine if it felt like they were building up to something, but instead it felt like they lost all direction. 😟 The first batch of movies built to the Avengers, the next batch built to Thanos. Even if you assume post Endgame was "The Multiverse" the number of properties that touched on it were minimal. Phase 4 movies: Black Widow - No Multiverse Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings - No Multiverse Eternals - No Multiverse Spider-Man: No Way Home…

unlabelledView post →Ignore the effect of multimedia adaptations for a moment, the vast number of people with some basic knowledge about Werewolf By Night and U.S. Agent and Wild Dog and Vigilante because they appeared in some movie or TV show or video game.

unlabelledView post →If you want more magic they made a black and white movie special for Halloween a while back called Werewolf By Night.
unlabelledView post →Movie #45: Werewolf by Night We really don’t have enough spooky/horror stuff from Marvel. #100HorrorMoviesin92Days
unlabelledView post →After the big, world - spanning, cosmic event that was Endgame they would have been better off splitting everything. A Werewolf By Night film that would eventually cross over into the new Blade and maybe a new Ghost Rider and set up a Midnight Sons crossover
unlabelledView post →This randomly reminded me that Disney made a Werewolf By Night movie and put it on Disney+
unlabelledView post →Werewolf by Night is one of my favorite D+ MCU projects. It's a refreshing change from the rest of the MCU. It doesn't need any movie knowledge, and it's not homework for other movies or shows, all things people complain about with the other MCU shows. Sadly, that's probably why it gets forgotten.
unlabelledView post →When the “Werewolf by Night” movie was about to debut in 2022, I had a question…”Which One”? (Marvel had a couple!) seductionofdainnocent.blogspot.com/2022/09/were...
unlabelledView post →I want to see Marvel pivot to horror after the next Avengers movies. Sure, do a trilogy of FF and X-Men, but then bring back Werewolf by Night, Moon Knight, Man-Thing, Ghost Rider, and Blade. Hell, do an Immortal Hulk movie. Adapt the recent “Blood Hunt” event. The bench is deep!
unlabelledView post →Werewolf by Night was a Hammer horror film. Winter Soldier was a 70s espionage thriller. The original Ant-Man was a heist film. Thunderbolts was an A24 film with superheroes.
unlabelledView post →WandaVision was good. Loki was great. Falcon & TWS was good. Ms Marvel was good. Moon Knight was decent. Agatha All Along was good. What If..? had two decent seasons. She-Hulk was meh. Hawkeye was meh. Echo was meh. Secret Invasion was terrible. Never watched Werewolf By Night.
unlabelledView post →Yeah absolutely! Also, that Werewolf by Night was a Disney + thing and it wasn’t quite a movie, as I recall, it was like a standalone episode or two thing?
unlabelledView post →Lol Disney released Werewolf by Night in Color, like, wasn't the black and white a pretty deliberate choice there? It's not like we did not have the technology to make a marvel movie in color at the time...

unlabelledView post →So Marvel Studios can do movies and TV shows like Multiverse of Madness, Agatha All Along, Werewolf By Night, Moon Knight, but they couldn't make a Blade movie? Now they are making Ghost Rider, who is more complicated? LMAO
unlabelledView post →Marvels Elsa Bloodstone from the Werewolf by Night movie
unlabelledView post →It's your basic One Man Army action movie, but with vampires. How is it hard? Plus, you could cross it over with so much of the #MCU... Werewolf by Night. Moon Knight. Elsa Bloodstone. Black Knight. Reintroduce Luke Cage. Fucking Daredevil. Shang Chi. Punisher. Dr. Strange. Even Spider-man. C'mon.
unlabelledView post →I just want a good werewolf movie, I’m tired of them coming out mid or bad 😔 Werewolf By Night was a whole lot of fun, and was nice to see an MCU movie with actual direction and a purposeful vibe. But that one’s fun and silly, it would be nice to get a good scary werewolf movie

unlabelledView post →Definitely wish Punisher: One Last Kill had more room to breathe. While the story itself worked well enough for me, it definitely could have worked even better as a feature-length film. I get having these 45-min specials, it worked very well for Werewolf By Night, but Punisher needs more time.
unlabelledView post →"But Werewolf by Night isn't a movie" It's more of a movie than anything Joss Whedon ever made!
unlabelledView post →Moon Knight needs to get his own film. And I NEED him to team up with Werewolf By Night and Man-Thing like I need oxygen.
unlabelledView post →23. Wonder Man Back when WandaVision came out, Marvel wanted to experiment with genre mixing instead of just pure superhero shows. This is the first time they’ve done that since Werewolf by Night, and this was excellent. A really fun story about loving film and fighting through loneliness in art.
unlabelledView post →Black and white release of Nightmare Alley (vision of darkness and light) maybe especially? In the same line of b&w release… but maybe more monster hunter than film noir… Werewolf by Night?
unlabelledView post →Wonder Man is definitely the most unique Marvel creation in a while, maybe since Werewolf By Night, certainly since Wandavision. To make a strange indie comedy about film making with a superhero in the lead, I kinda admire the risk they took (and for Marvel, it's a risky move)
