He also says he'd love to work on Katamari again, and for someone to invest in his studio. (Read more at GamesRadar)
unlabelledView post →I really wanted to love this game. I love Katamari and was looking forward to Wattam. While the game retains the charm, whimsy, and heart of Katamari, it's just not fun to play. The unplayable cutscene to gameplay ratio feels 1:1, and it's constantly telling you exactly what to do. It takes the same amount of strategy and skill as a walking simulator. If that's what you're looking for, this is cute. But, if you're looking for a puzzle-type game this isn't really it. The graphics are…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm working on a video about it right now, but Keita Takahashi's new effort To a T is absolutely *delightful*. Pure joy in video game form. One of the best games about fitting in and celebrating difference, the beautiful eccentricity in the mundane since... well, his last game Wattam. Play it!

unlabelledView post →Random Game of the Day Day 309 - Wattam From the creator of Katamari Damacy, this is a very cute and sort of chill game. It centers around you trying to make friends with random objects by helping them and helping them meet other random objects
unlabelledView post →super wholesome and fun. I first played this game while violently ill and very depressed and this game instantly made me happy. This game feels like child-like wonder and joy personified and is guaranteed to make your day.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →That rare combination of being both entertaining for a 5 year old, and entertaining for a 40 year old.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A kind local co-op experience to play with a kid, you can finish the story in 3-4 evenings time, or just fool around sandbox style. It's about metempsychosis & friendship towards everything around us - like that philosophical game "Everything" but for kids, where instead of lengthy background lectures the holistic "new age" idea is being conveyed through short funny character interactions & you can also change scaling level of the world, which makes different types of objects available for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Silly little game that I enjoyed so much!! Even if it may not be everybody's cup of tea, I need people to finish the game specifically to listen to the most cutest and warmest song ever at the end credits. If you don't have time to though, the end credit song is " A long time : the six years" and you can listen to it on youtube :).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is so silly and stupid but it made me silly stupid cry
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I adore this game in every aspect, but I simply cannot leave a positive review; simply put, this game is unfinished. Despite being put out a full year after the console release, Wattam on PC suffers from performance issues, game-breaking and immersion shattering bugs, and has a glaring bug that stops you from even beating the game on certain devices. I know for a fact that these bugs will never be fixed because Keita Takahashi and his team have moved on to other projects and the company that…

unlabelledView post →I've got a lot of on-stream projects going on, and they all make me scream. Let's work hard and see what we can do! Friday we're starting Wattam! It's the previous game by Keita Takahashi, the lead for To a T and Katamari. It'll be fun to see how it compares to To a T, now that we've beaten it!
unlabelledView post →The game Wattam is under appreciated. Amazing kids game especially.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's really weird and feels aimless. maybe that's good for some people? I'm sorry I can't recommend this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Keita Takahashi is known as an auteur in the video games industry because of his sense of humor, unique style of storytelling, and the whimsical atmosphere he brings to the projects he works on. If you love Katamari Damacy, the gameplay is nothing like that, but you can't play this game without thinking, "Yeah, this is a Keita Takahashi game," because it has a charm to it that's distinct from most other games. I'm not a fan of the toilet-related humor and mechanics, the controls are a little…

unlabelledView post →enjoying to a T so far...i wasn't sure how i felt seeing Keita Takahashi make a very normal narrative adventure game but I think it is very cute and charming, and has an edge to it that was lacking in Wattam. it's hard to get through the day without annoying people even when you try your best!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone in my mid-30s atm, I want to give Wattam a "Maybe" rating. It's a sandboxy game with simple mechanics and sometimes cryptic goals you can do if you want to progress the (weirdly serious) story. I think it's a great game for kids to play around in and work out some simple puzzles, but the controls could use some work. I love games, so I think these kinds of games are especially important to support. For me, this kind of thing is great to experience and understand games as an art…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I made a mistake. In some constellations in my brain I thought, this game has some dark macabre humour hidden. And thats, why I got this game. But, this game is just PURE JOY AND FUN for kids. I somewhat got bored and disappointed (of myself and my misinterpretation). I rate this game still positively, because the game is doing right in what it should do. It spreads a LOT of joy. A lot of items to play with, connect with hands, make some circle dances and help other figures with their problems…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought it would be a fun, wacky fever dream like Katamari, but its not fun. This game seems more designed for young children
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kinda cute, kinda silly but not my kind of those things. To make matters worse it lagged a few times and I had to manually close it a lot because it refused to close on it's own. Playing it with friends doesn't change anything either, just adding to the whole mess and interfering with already chunky controls.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The new Yoshi game is like the same mental equivalent I got from playing Kirby's Epic Yarn. A bunch of little interactibles that evoke joy in a sense. This game is actually most like Wattam in gameplay I would say and if you like that I think its worth it.

Let's visit it, and look at how the design fits into the context of the other games. This game also has a lot of hats and poop. It is a baby game. www.twitch.tv/glottal
unlabelledView post →to a T is a true breath of fresh air, it feels like playing through the episodes of a cartoon and I love it. Really satisfied with the game so far, it's a step above Wattam (which I already liked, but to a T offers a stronger narrative and more gameplays variety)
unlabelledView post →This is from the creator of Katamari, which this game definitely has its unique childlike charm to it. It's a short puzzle sandbox game, with a cute story attached to it. I found the puzzle mechanics to be really unique and fun to play around with. It was never frustrating at any point, and I never felt overwhelmed by the added mechanics as the game played on. This was a really cozy relaxing game I played before bed a lot and I really loved it! Sometimes it felt like a fever dream, but in a…

unlabelledView post →This game is so unapologetic in it's whimsy. The animations alone are beyond adorable. I almost cried when we were introduced to baby rock. And then I bawled my eyes out at the end. 100/10, I'm so happy this game exists. Get it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would recommend this game... If you're under the age of 12. or if you just really like something that holds your hand the entire way through. I was hoping for something a bit more "Open world" like noby noby boy or something funny like katamari, but no. It's cute but it's just not that great.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a religious experience for my mother and I, and I can say we learned everything and nothing at the same time. Its very funny and an oddly wholesome game, which gave us more joy in the first 30 minutes on our couch than anything HGTV produces. Its absurd presentation, the light toilet humor, and somber quirky and Jazzy soundtrack work hand in hand, to create the ideal game for any bad day. There are a few bumps, some character interactions like stacking can be choppy, I had to wait a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Silly object-like characters rebuild their world in experimental sandbox game I had some joyful and teary moments playing this. However, the bewilderingly poor controls and game-breaking bugs completely overshadowed the experience. The game is abandonware and not worthy of being in Annapurna's catalog.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is a broken mess. Crashes frequently, even when changing simple options. People have reported the game crashing on start up for years and the game still hasn't had an update to fix the game being basically unplayable. Not worth $20 for the game that you may be able to play between hours of trying to fix it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My kids were in hysterics for lots of moments in this one. I don't know that I would play it by myself as an adult (although you do you!) but it made for a great family game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are in a very liminal mood and want some cute but weird shenanigans, that is pretty much what this game is.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its like a sandbox playground experience thing that is silly. I feel like if I had played this as a kid though it would be one of those nonsensical games with over 100 hours in it for no reason
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →baby sensory game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As luck would have it, Wattam is $5 on Steam right now! Til June 3rd. I'm double-dipping because 1. it's worth it 2. EGS is such an unpleasant experience as a launcher. how? how?! I have so many free games in it and I just. yeah. It's not for everybody, but it's absolutely for me. Maybe you too
unlabelledView post →Wattam is a bizarre game about the end of the world as we know it. But more importantly its about picking up and putting back together the fragmented pieces, and realising the strength in humanity rather than its weaknesses. It's a surprising philosophical piece considering all pointers indicate it was made for an audience of age seven and below. So good job you have me (twenty one year old adult) to shine a spotlight on it. This doesn't fit mosts idea of traditional "game design", its very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its weird, which is great, but the fun dries up pretty fast. Controls are not great and it is hard to tell if you are doing anything right. While I don't need another Katamari, which is so immediate, wait, never mind. I'm going to play Katamari now.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really something special, It's such a wholesome little experience with a ton of love poured into it. The music, the artstyle and the whole presentation of it just puts a huge smile on my face. gameplay wise it's rather simple and the puzzles are fairly easy to understand and solve. it's also pretty short, I beat it in 2.8 hours with no guide. There is unfortunately a really really big problem I faced after having played for 4 hours, the game randomly crashed and once I tried to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Keita Takahashi has informed my gaming tastes from childhood more than any other creator. I consider Noby Noby Boy and Wattam two of my all time favourites. To a T is easily my game of the year. If you want a clear-eyed reminder of what games CAN BE, please check it out!
unlabelledView post →Silly, colorful and surreal. Wattam lives up to the expectations that come along with the Keita Takahashi name. This one has a little more existentialism in the story than either of the two previous Takahashi games but is still very lighthearted. The game is very casual and can be completed quickly if you don't end up goofing off for extended periods of time. I played through this with my child who was 4 at the time and the game was easy enough that I only had to complete portions myself a few…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →68. Wattam in this game there's a mouth that eats other objects and it turns them into poo but also there's a tree and you can eat things with the tree and turn them into poo and then the poo can be gold and also there is poo and there's a toilet noby noby boy is there this game is very strange
unlabelledView post →I forced the Sushi Mom to abandon her children, I made Matthew hang onto that thing in summer because he wouldn’t stop pooping, attacked and exploded people, and stole their hats. 10/10 game. Would recommend .

unlabelledView post →Wattam is a great idea that doesn't live up to the hype. I love the ideas it brings, especially the idea of having a sandbox game with no logic or rules just doing whatever seems fun at the moment. It's a great idea but the game simply doesn't have enough to play around with in that sandbox. The games story while trying to gather all the characters feels like an excuse to showcase the abilities each one has which is fine but given my short playtime of about 4 hours you can guess how much…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Keita I love you. Cute game, the humor and the simplicity are there but the game becomes redundant very fast in its short 4-hour span.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I blew up 6 children while their mother watched, and was met with laughter and applause.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just not fun. The clunky controls make the whole thing an exercise in frustration and tedium. Sure it is cute and quirky, but that is not enough to cover up the fact that the moment to moment gameplay is NOT fun. Also its incredibly short for the price. Not recommended. If you can get it on sale for less than a couple of bucks it MIGHT be worth it too you. But honestly if you want to spent time on pointless immaturity, put Barney on repeat.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First time ever leaving a review for a game, just because I'm so frustrated. Bugs that make objects go out of bounds that the only solution is to make a new save? With hardly anything to this game, all I'd expect is a seamless and smooth experience; doesn't even have that. Would not recommend
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sights & Sounds - As you've likely assessed from the promotional artwork, the visual style of the game is extremely cute - The music is pretty catchy and probably the game's greatest strength. I loved how the music changed when switching between characters. The credits song is also nice and well performed - The rest of the sound design was honestly sort of awful. At any given point all of the babbling and crying gives you the impression of being in a daycare Story & Vibes - In a nutshell, you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quirky, whimsical and heartwarming. If you're a fan of Katamari Damacy's surreal tone, or to a T by the same director, give this game a try! I felt a childlike sense of joy the entire playthrough. A short experience that can be beaten in one or two sittings, but I'll be wanting to come back to it to show friends or just jam to the music :D
