It's more like Asphalt, but with no MTX (that I saw...). I'm not a fan of racing games designed for mobile platforms, so that's my bias. It's fun for about the first 15 minutes, but after that it just becomes kinda boring. The visual style and music is really good, with a track by Hideki Naganuma, which is awesome. Other than that though, it's just kinda mediocre. Your arcade racing game with multiplayer of choice is probably better.

The art style, music and feel of the controls are all absolutely spot on. Drift is nice and rewarding too, feels very natural to tweak the analogue stick in the direction you would expect in order to modify angle, also rewards your skill progression. Overall feels like a very nicely balanced and optimised game the likes of which I haven't played in a while.

If you're an AGR fan who's getting a little burnt out on rotating WipEout, Redout and BallisticNG, this will give you a decent break at the max CC rating. Is it a "kart racer in AGR clothing"? Sure, but it's interesting enough for me. It's staying in my library as a palate cleanser I have a soft spot for.

One ability, boost, it has 2 purposes, go into someone, go faster, and some maps let you go through special walls which is actually pretty interesting. On the contrary there just nothing here to do. The drift mechanic takes a while to master, but when you do it is extremely satisfying, and there are some cool little gameplay twists that set this racer apart from the crowd.
