negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Invaders and flashing screen" Pretty neat arcade revival game. Somekind of mixture of Space Invaders, Galaga, Centipede and Frogger. You shoot through tons of aliens with power upgrades + levelups + skins. There are also Steam leaderboards and an Endless mode. The epileptic warning in the beginning is totally justified. Aliens explode in white flashes. Beat all challenging 30 levels in medium and hard. Just to die 50 times seems really really hard.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Space invaders ah game. There are a ton of similar copycats out there, some better than others, this one is alirght.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow! I must say that i have never expected to enjoy a Space Invaders clone as much as this. So, starting the game, you are confronted with a settings menu that contains everything you need and some excellent music (soundtrack is included when you buy the main game) prematurely filling you with adrenaline that you will need later on. Then there's the selection between gamemodes being: Level Mode: Play through 30 different levels with a slight level of passive experience-based progression between…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A seizure-tastic Shmup! Graphic style is strongly reminiscent of the earlier BIT.TRIP games. It also has a great soundtrack if you’re into chipstep – and it’s included as a free DLC with the game! When Void Invaders first came out, it was more of a Shmup version of Clicker Heroes, making you play through the same set of levels over and over again with increasing difficulty and forcing you to grind for EXP on previous levels whenever the difficulty got too high. Over a year after the game’s…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Flashing lights are crazy exagerated in this shoot 'em up, probably dangerous if you're the least bit photosensitive, but also dazzling to look at. Basic graphics with big pixels like Space Invaders but more colorful with bright rainbow colors. Looks like fireworks sometimes. Appropriate techno party music pumps up the excitement. No problem with gamepad controls although it's annoying when the enemies faster than yourself crash into you and when some shots just can't be dodged in the later…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maybe one of the most fun indie games i've ever had, with its kickass music and flashes which makes my brain melt! My favourite mode is endless mode. Thank you VoidDev!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not Recommended
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Space invaders with a twist Whats new? The tilt screen gimmick, which is sort of an interesting concept Sometimes the mechanic is used right, like being able to predict some of the enemy movement, as well as giving a unique look and feeling to this version of Space invaders unfortunately for most of the game its disorienting idea. Flaw Its slow trying to aim while the screen keeps wobbling left and right can be a long and arduous task and its done quite intentionally as a way to add more…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Void Invaders is short and sweet and well worth the price. There are 30 levels to get through, with bosses spaced out periodically as you progress. Gameplay is fast-paced and the enemies are relentless. Power-ups make things infinitely easier, but they're often short-lived and are placed strategically throughout the levels, so you have to use them wisely. There's both keyboard and full controller support, I tried each and definitely preferred using my controller, the controls are very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game! recommend to everyone. This game is really satisfying to play and also great for people who want to get 100% of the achievements. Overall great game. Note to developer: It would be amazing if you guys could impliment a feature to allow us to use a mouse instead of the buttons (excluding that this is a great game good job!)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is absolutely awesome! It is very well made and addicting. It's fun and challenging at the same time, it has great music and i really like the endless mode. Totally worth buying!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is an offense to the original Space Invaders and Galaga. Playing it was a total waste of time, gameplay is really boring, your shot has nearly zero power and you have to hit oscillating enemies that are also "bullet sponges". The old arcade games were all about precision aiming and great timing. This game instead is completely the opposite, especially because you start with a spraying fire and it's anyway very difficult to aim at your target. Totally not recommended even when it is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hey Kids, do you know what time it is! No, well then it must be review o'clock! Are you feeling some nostalgia for Space Invaders? Haven't had an acid flashback in awhile? Want a cheap test to see if your epileptic? If you answered yes to any of these questions, step right up, and queue your cart!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Void invaders doesn't bother you with ship management, money and all that nonsense, to make it look like it's better than the origingal. Instead it blasts you away with colorful explosive pure fun. In my opinion this is the best game in this particular sub-genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I dig this game. The dev did a good job capturing a retro feel. I not only was reminded of Space Invaders & Galaga, at times it felt like a little Millipede & Megamania. Only gripe is that is does not work in steam beta, had to simply switch back to current steam which took less than 5 min.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Considering the price, the music and gameplay seem fun enough to make it worthwhile. It's basically space invader with great soundtrack and visual. <번역> 가격을 고려하면 음악과 게임플레이방식이 충분히 제값하게 하는 느낌이 든다. 스페이스 인베이더에 좋은 음악과 비쥬얼이 깔린 형태.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool game. Reminds me a bit of Beat Hazard.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't usually review games, but this one is the game that gets me back to reviewing after a while. Void Invaders can be described as Galaga meets Monstercat. May be simple, but after a few levels, it gets you addicted to the game. At the same time, it gets harder really fast, too. I couldn't get past the second boss. Anyway, the game's soundtrack is really catchy and, best of all, it's free of charge. The price is low, and it is really worth playing, especially for the soundtrack. So without…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Input bugs that break the menu. Once you're in a game you can't exit because it holds your selection at the top menu entry. Developer seems to have abandoned it, they aren't addressing bugs in the forum.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really not that much to say here as this game is simply awesome. A more than worthy pickup for anyone.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Space Invaders sequel Atari still can't create is Void Invaders. It's incredibly fun. The graphics are spot on. The music is kick'n. But most of all, it excels with level ups and power ups, providing the next logical step to one of the simplest forms of gaming. It could have been made in the 80s if the programmers weren't so astranged from their own creations. This is the perfect coffee break madness or endless long haul shooter.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good Game 10/10 Great gameplay :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun modern Space Invaders style game. It expands on the Space Invaders formula with cool weapon upgrades like the rotating shotgun and tornado shotgun as well as bigger and badder enemies. Level 22 I thought was quite tough, but overall not too difficult to get through. Some good times to be had blasting away those invaders.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →About a 8 months ago now I bought this game (I'm not one to really review games but I finally got to it) and I was IMMEDIATLY SUCKED INTO IT, it is a very easy game to get the hang of but it can be dificult to master. Now that an intro to the review is out of the way, this game is amazing and is perfect for playing offline, despite some bugs in it for some players (mostly the achievement glitch) the game works amazingly and runs well with most systems i have found, on a one to ten scale I would…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"I am an alligator. I am a space invader. I am a momma poppa coming for you." David Bowie Moonage Daydream If the Atari had a console today it would have made this game a day one launch title. Void Invaders would have been included with special edition that was made to look like the classic Atari 2600 to promote the Atari Couger 26,000. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The visuals in this game are pretty awesome- as one might expect from a game of this genre... The thing is, the music, at least for me, is impeccable. I love EDM and this game is perfect for it. A great soundtrack really does add a lot to a gaming experience and this game indeed has a very enjoyable experience overall. It might not seem like it does anything special or out-of-the-ordinary, but sometimes sticking to the old formula is the wisest thing to do. This game is awesome and I really do…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like the original Invaders but with better visuals and some dynamics like leveling up and game modes. -Easy to complete 100% achievements, I did it in about 4 hours.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Void Invaders is an retro-arcade like experience that plays similar to Space Invaders and Galaga. You face off against a horde of aliens with your… um… own alien? Yeah, you also control an alien – I don’t know, maybe he turned rebel or something. Whatever. Anyway, that’s pretty much all there is to it. There’s aliens, alien bosses, powerups, as well as a few modes to keep you occupied. It’s not too difficult to complete the game (in level mode at least); which is kind of refreshing actually,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a nice and refreshing modern take on a classic theme - this is a really great game and for the price well worth a pick up I won't say it does anything to out of the box for an interpretation of the "Invaders" style of game but that is no bad thing - it is very slick in both action and color and also has plenty of pick ups and weapons to keep the game interesting and trying to beat the hi scores is always fun and reminded me a lot of the older arcade games and console games that are still fun…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very pretty, but very poorly designed. If you like pretty lights, go for it. Otherwise, try any other galaga clone.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The look of this game, the predominantly black background with lots of vibrantly colourful and bright characters & explosions, and the large pixel art Space Invaders style character sprites, is great. The soundtrack is great too. The gameplay is good, and there's different gameplay modes, the levels & bosses become progressively harder, & there's fun power-ups. Though a multiplayer mode would've been nice. A bargain at £1.99.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →<3 FLASHING LIGHTS AND COLORS WITH UPBEAT MUSIC!!! my eyes are strained X_X Few boring early levels, but when you get to the later part. AMAZING!!! The price is just right! I can only imagine this game with two players...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Flashy screen Good music Good combat Hard ME LIKEY! 10/10

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A must have for retro gamers or even if you ain't into retro get it, it's like a $3 you could probably find that in your couch
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty short game that you can 100% it in probably 2-3 hours (it took longer waiting for all the trading cards to drop) but I had a fair bit of fun considering that I'm not usually into shoot them up games. The positive reviews as well as the affordable price on sale ($0.70 for me) plus the very achievable achievements (though some I wasn't sure what was required so I Googled) drew me in. I also appreciate that the developers are on the ball and they get back pretty quickly to queries on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game brought back I feeling I forgot years ago. A feeling where electricity and nervous impulses run through my body. Where my fingers react uncontrollably to the slightest detection of movement. A feeling where you know you only have a sliver of health left and a single mistake will cost you. Void Invaders has brought me back to the arcade days of old like RaidanX and Galaga. Oh and the boss battle will bring out everything you have. With great music, and fantastic colours, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is AMAZING !!! I had fun alot while playing this game, even for the short duration (I've completed the whole level).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A gem among indie games. You ever played one of those games where you feel like the devs got to make the game they wanted to make? This is one of those games. The premise is simple, it's basically Space Invaders on crack and it's absolutely awesome. The game has three modes - level mode, where you fight fixed spawns (and also fixed weapon powerups) that never change but get progressively harder as you go up in levels. You have a fixed box fight every 5 levels for a total of 30 levels.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game simple, challenging, fun and with a awesome soundtrack (if you like electronic music with a 8-bit vibe). I don't regret buying it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good game to pass time. well worth it. great soundtrack.hope to see more from this title
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice little game! :) Go pick it up for 0.59€ 2 hours to go!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game, although based on a couple classics, is a gem to play. The graphics might be low res, but don't let it fool you. This is a fast paced game with useful powerups. The times could be a little longer though. Some of the boss levels seem impossible. At times, the action will be so fast paced, you won't know what the hell is going on. A fun game and worth the pennies it costs.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay, I may only have played 40 minutes so far, but for some games that's all you need. I got to level 20 and...what a blast (excuse the pun!). I have two words - Jeff Minter. Am I right? Was Jeff involved with this game in some way, shape or form? It has the hallmarks of his style and is reminiscent of Llamatron and even his early Grid Runner on the Vic-20! The game also has inspiration from Moon Cresta, Galaga and Phoenix too, as far as I can tell. It's brilliant! I bought it on sale but it's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very interesting and also a very enjoyable Space Invaders style game, very fast paced and also quite addictive
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a hyper take on an old classic.Fast paced action that you will be far to fimillar with now to know to jumpright in and start shootin. 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As I just bought this about an 30 minutes ago, I'm enjoying it so far! So far, what i've seen is a bright colorful version of Space Invaders. It has that classic shoot 'em up style to it, and I love it! This game will take your old, plain Space Invaders game, put it in a blender with colors and movement, and you make this master piece of a game. Though it is not my favorite game, its still pretty amazing and fun. I got this game on sale for $0.57, so it's not $3. But I would've spent the money…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If Galaga and Space Invaders had a kid this would be thier love child. Hands down a must for any retro gamer. Great music and awesome gameplay.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10 would play again
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best shoot em ups i've ever played.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Luckily my epilepsy isn't photosensitive, this would be instant death
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a really simple yet fun shoot em up. I have no issue with the flashing lights but I COULD NOT STAND the shaking screen. Fortunately, you can turn that down or off completely. You can also enable auto-fire. 8 / 10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wasn't that fun after all. Bulletsponges get boring fast.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Colorful, has cool music (at least the first 300 times it loops). The mechanic is novel, but it's a little annoying how bosses (every 5 levels) frequently require several hundred thousand hits to kill, with absolutely no indication what progress if any is being made against the boss' health. A couple of them involve simply flying in a circle pattern following the boss' circle pattern, avoiding his one single shot pattern every few seconds, for upwards of 10 minutes. Doing the literally exact…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You can't actually hit anything
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another Shoot em up similar to Space Invaders. This one particularly has the nice gimic of the screen tilting when moving side to side. The visuals aren't tearing my eyes out so that's a plus. The thing that makes me not recommend this game is the enemy movements of constantly swaying from side to side. This makes it very difficult to hit the enemies to the point of unfairness. The bullet-spongey nature makes it all the more difficult. Despite the low sale price I recommend not wasting your…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice casual game. Would have great potential for use at lan parties if there was a multiplayer function.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pure arcade madness with modern music and explosions. Kill enemies, grap powerup, kill boss. 22th level is too hard, 24th is twice harder, but still possible. Everyting in between is easy as pie. The game lacks widescreen option.
