60 of 182 · most liked firstAugust 2020 edit: By now the game has received an update to include a level editor, giving the game a whole lot more post-campaign content. If you were on the edge about this game before, now it is definitely worth your money! Vectronom's simplistic style might lead you to think that this game is poorly made, or overly simple, but you'd be wrong. While the game omits pretty much all of the wonders of modern game graphics, it's exactly as detailed as it needs to be, focussing completely on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm at a bit of a loss for this one, just doesn't seem to play out for me as everyone else. The timings just don't seem to be right, and increasing the tolerance will only do so much in your favour as if you go too far then the beat becomes meaningless. Perhaps it's bluetooth latency? Who knows, but a calibration like you see in most mobile rhythm games would have been a good idea to go along with the tolerance setting. As is without that you effectively lose the entire rhythm aspect and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was completely addicted to this for two days and even while away i couldn't stop thinking about the level i was on and getting that elusive 100%, incredible rhythm game that has to be felt rather than watched or spoken about. Just play it if you have any interest in what you see and enjoy the ride cause a ride it sure as hell is.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game! Its like being in trance - feeling the music, the colors and then your movement coming together. My whole flat was focused on the screen for the last 2 hours before we had to take a break for the brain :D. 100% can recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You don't get any feedback as to how well you are doing until the end of the level. Sometimes it's hard to see which thing is your avatar, since it's all just anonymous looking blocks. Once I had fallen off a level a few times I didn't feel any desire to keep going.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I adore this game. SO very much. I sat down to play it, thinking I would just clear out a few levels and completed it in one sitting. It is challenging but not unfair. I would bump my head against the wall, but after taking a breath and trying to study it I could always find a solution. Highly recommend picking this up! positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have no sense of rhythm.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Harder and more frustrating than dark souls
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Falling through solid blocks while still following the rhythm - the game Seriously, the timing is so extremely strict that certain levels are bordering on RNG luck to pass. Aside of that, presentation, style, music and so on is top notch. However with such a major flaw in the heart of the game logic it is not possible to recommend this title at the moment.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →only played a few minutes and i already love this game, amazing soundtrack that matches up with the game, just the cubes don't sync up with their hitboxes for like half a second or something. Very colorful mind you, I don't recommend this game if you don't like too many colors at once.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If Super Hexagon and EDGE had a baby, this would be it. Hypnotic visuals, super fun challenging gameplay, and oh boy does the soundtrack slap hard...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Verified hidden gem. Only has around 250 reviews as I'm writing this, but deserves way more. Love the vibrant, abstract visuals, and the music is top notch. I could see how people with little or no sense of rhythm might find it frustrating, but if you can keep a beat, it consistently presents a perfect level of challenge. Never rockets into outright impossible territory, like some other rhythm games do. One of the most bizarre things that can happen to you while playing is that sometimes your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game that blends parts of rhythm, puzzle, splatformer, and party games. Four players are dropped into a puzzle of a level and have to parse and navigate and solve it, avoiding death along the way, all while everyone's tapping their foot to the beat. This combination of thumping beats, simple controls, and puzzle solving can feel like it's engaging both the caveman and the da Vinci in me- which continues to feel fresh time after time. At a certain point it felt like my brain clicked and I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute little game, the rhythm aspect is fun and not too punishing. Only real criticisms are the 1000 death achievement and that the game is too short! Definitely recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has everything i hate for a small game... bad controls/camera/perspective bad hit/hit-box detection bad options music is meh ---------------- It's not intuitive to go in the direction you need... why choose isometric view... -- felt through floor stuck in block (i think? could not move until the block change and died) -- no calibration i felt the option were bad to navigate -- to me the music is uninspired not bad but not something you will intentionally listen to
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really unique little rhythm game with levels that change to the beat. Short and sweet but it has enjoyable gameplay and a great soundtrack that really immerses you into the game! Check out https://store.steampowered.com/curator/41559946 for more recommendations!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Did you love Crypt of the Necrodancer and you want to try something 10 times simpler and 100 times more trippy? Then this is exactly the game you're looking for. Took me 3 hours to 100%. Will take me a lifetime to stop striding on imaginary beats in real life.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Vectronom is a maelstrom of beats and colors. It's is an acid trip in that underground techno disco out of town which plays the best music you never heard before. Vectronom is best played with two beers and friends in a circle around you. I have played through this game many times on Switch. I bought it on Steam and on Mobile to support the devs. One tip for all newcomers: Feel the rhythm. Be the beat. Trust your ears, not your eyes. 10/10 would ragequit again
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone always scouting for interesting and fun music based games, Vectronom has hit my nerve. This game makes great use of level design, incorporating level progression with the underlying music track. Some level are in an odd time signature, like a 7 or a 9 and most patterns can be solved by jumping right on the beat giving a special emphasis on the "puzzle" in "puzzle platformer". Apart from that, the music is pretty rad as well giving the levels a nice variety in tone. If you want to,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty slow and repetitive for a single player game. If you are looking for groovy graphics and relaxing gameplay then this is probably the game for you. I bet it would be a lot of fun with friends, but there isn't enough game here for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cool musical game, if you liked 140, you'll love this one too. Challenging puzzles/plateforming and nice soundtrack. The big oof : this game is very short, but it was really enjoyable
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i want to kill my self
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really simplistic, colorful and nice rhythm game. Some levels take some getting used to, though!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The cube jiggles.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun music tempo timing game. The music is good, and the game play is music related and unique.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Electro + rythm. If you like those 2 you will definitely like this game. Everything you need to know is on 1st video presenting the game. You can adjust difficulty to extreme values (too easy/too hard) in menu so it's there if you want it. Also game has speedrunning features. I recommend it - soundtrack is very good and dynamic, gameplay = platform game with collectables.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if you like puzzle games and rhythm games then this mash-up is perfect for you. this game was a blast. the game itself takes a few hours to beat, but then there are hundreds of community maps to play (or create) so you can keep on playing. note for any achievement hunters possibly reading this - there is one achievement that can only be unlocked by editing a game file (.json.. you can use notepad++). it's simple and there's a guide on here to walk you through it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Killer soundtrack, very fun to fall into a trance to
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ludopium do honor their namesake with this synesthetic, nod-inducing, minimalistic take on the rhythm based dungeon crawler genre. Okay, but in all seriousness. Amazing analog synth (or if not analog it at least sounds analog) music, ingenious level themes, and rhythm all thinly veiling a puzzle game underneath it all. And it's a heckin' good puzzle game, at that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a really enjoyable and simple rhythm cube platformer. The presentation and music are all really good. There's only one issue: this game is extremely buggy. In only two hours I've had the screen turn green on me three times. Each requiring a shutdown of the game. Other than that, the level can randomly reset while you're playing it, and other weird things happen while the game's trying to sync back up with the music. The green screen bug only affects the 3D rendered part of the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Get this game! Superb soundtrack and the gameplay has that unique flow you will definitely get addicted to (and probably dream about one day, no joke).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a Rythmn game, and quite difficult, but short once you beat it. It would be nice if the multi-player wasn't restricted to local only, because remote-play is delayed for the others.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sexy beats and jumping cubes
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In this video I take a look at Vectronom a rhythmic puzzle/maze game. Turn up the volume and move to the beat! Can you match the maze to the rhythm and solve the puzzle? You need to get from one end to the other, preferably collecting all the pick-ups, in rhythm to the beat while the path also changes to the beat. It's really fun and can get quite challenging especially if you do try for all the pickups. The great music really kicks things into high gear and it's compatible with dance mats and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What an amazing game! The music is electrifying and hypnotizing, the gameplay feels so natural, as if I was playing this game for decades. Thanks Ludopium for this piece of art <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I dislike rhythm games, I really really don't like puzzle games... but - the - beat must - go - on Addicting game play, hypnotic visuals & great soundtrack, got hooked instantly. Can't wait to see this in a blindfolded speedrun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like the unusual yet colorful feel this game has. I like the fact that you have to move to the beat, it's really fun although challenging. I also love that there's an editor (alpha)!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love those games where with some smart, simple changes in the set of rules a well known genre is transformed and offers me a totally new gaming experience. This game is one of those. Dancing instead of just jumping - that's it. But what a difference!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Killer tracks and frustratingly clever level design.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very solid rhythm platformer with great music! Simple concept with good execution, the only major flaw lies with play time, as it's a little on the shorter side, which is already being adressed by additional levels (just ask for the "mixtape levels" on the discord server). Includes multiple colorblind modes and an adjustable precision slider, which if set on low makes the game quite manageable for even the less musically inclined. Though for everyone seeking a challenge, right now the game is a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Vectronom surprised me! I saw that it was a rhythm game but I hadn't expected the puzzle element at all. In each level you have to adapt to the rhythm, and then discern how it correlates to the pattern of tile movements and determine how you can safely move through the level. That's fun! It feels so fluid once you've figured out the right movement pattern and smoothly weave through a chaotic dance of disappearing tiles. It took me just over 5 hours to 100% the game, so it's a quick game and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd go for Vectronom The game, although very forgiving at first, is very challenging on the later stages as you are further obligated to keep up with the rhythm of the blocks And, specially if you want to do the extra challenges, you will need to do some memorization of the levels
unlabelledView post →#304: Vectronom A pretty, minimalist rhythm puzzle game. The level design is excellent and the game does a great job of fully exploring its own design space.
unlabelledView post →seems fun but it's not.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a weird one. The game itself isn't too bad per say. It's a rythm platformer that nails a minimalist style down pretty well. But the controls are just... Off. Like, every level has an objective where you have to move on the beat, but the timing for it are either incredibly precise or the beat changes every level, which wouldn't be a problem if the levels weren't that short. There's also no easy way to tell the tempo like in say, Crypt of the Necrodancer. The game also has a setting on per…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although I'm usually not a fan of rhythm games, this one is so masterfully crafted that I can recommend it to everyone. Don't be fooled by the 140-like aesthetic – this game is infinitely better than that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →first level has literally no beat you can hear. Beat Precision: 0% GO F*CK YOURSELF. then the first half of levels is waiting followed by NO MARGIN FOR ERROR ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. And for being a rhythm game there is no setting for offset. CARDINAL SIN! the only setting there is is "input margin" which i think gives you longer windows for the beat "making the game easier" except it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ doesn't you still die in a pit. OH AND BTW NO LABELS ON THE SLIDER GREAT WORK! I think I'm going crazy here?? I keep…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game offers a well-composed soundtrack, but its so simplistic to the fact that it gets more boring than fun. It's only a matter of recognising certain block patterns and you'll get the gist of it. That's all the game has to offer, and the pricing should be made lower for future players. Anything under $3 should do for a simple game like this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great rhythm + puzzle game. Really tests your patience and focus.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Vectronom is a very innovative game and has a lot of good qualitys, the way you move to the music mixed with a platformer is amazing. It also has a level editor and multiplayer, hugely recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fastest good review I left so far.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's 550+ user created levels at the time of writing this. Highly recommended
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →CUBE CUBE CUBE CUBE
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Each and every level made me want to scream out loud due to how little I understand how to clear it. The main difficulty of the game comes to find the way to reach the end, which is quite nice for a rhythm game. Moving on the right tempo comes second. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it, wishing it had been a longer game. At least there's the community for that; I finished the whole game in 2 hours, and I 100% it in 5 hours.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →MY EYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS Graphics are very intense in this game. Couldn't play for extended periods of time due to the soundtrack and visuals being extremely stimulating. That being said, I DID finish the game. It's good. It's pretty challenging, and does make good use of the fairly simple movement mechanics. Would love to see more from this studio, it's good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Definitely my favorite rhythm game of all time. Fun, unique, challenging, and the music is amazing!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cool concept, gameplay is pretty self-explanatory: if you think you'll like this, you probably will. only complaint is theres not a whole lot of content, you could probably beat the game in an hour if you don't care about collectibles. if this is really up your alley though you could probably get a lot more mileage out of it getting 100% (didn't get it but should be doable in under 10 hrs) and replaying levels at different speeds to get better times etc. if you're like me i'd say get it on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really creative rhythm based puzzle game with a beautiful aesthetic. The more unusual the time signature, the more fun the puzzle!
