It is bogged down by some annoying mini games/puzzles, but the story is interesting and I enjoyed my time with it. Plat#139

Varney Lake this is kinda just a Stephen King novella as a game, with a little extra nostalgia-skewering tossed in. meditative in its stylistic jank, I feel like it could have an interesting conversation with parts of Stray Children, but it swaps that PSX aesthetic out for even harder retro

unlabelledView post →Read the first two “pixel pulp” visual novels by LCB Game Studio, Mothmen 1966 & Varney Lake. They’re excellent little spooky short stories with great prose and a stunning limited palette pixel art. Got the third one lined up and very keen to get to it. Big recommend so far. They’re doing good work
