Let me give you a run down of some of them: - Sometimes when you're in water, you can walk (even breathe), sometimes you have to swim. I found nice bug how to get through one place which was flooded with water just using this glitch. - Monsters as they are introduced don't spawn regularly (Hell lord for instance). When you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →And Vapour was the first character I added to the game! Here she is being an absolute menace as is usual.
unlabelledView post →I changed my negative review into positive because devs were so kind and quickly added new Easy mode/difficulty into the game (see Patch 1.4 details). Now such ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like me can survive and defeat those badass Hell Lords! For me it was one major negative point of that great in whole game. So i recommend it now for wide audience of players, but not only for crazy hardcorers. Enjoy the Hell now!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The prologue is boring. It should be removed in my opinion. Once I was able to play I walked around a bit and did some exploring, but didn't really run into much. I did run into a power up of some kind and was able to pick it up, but when I ran into the next one I couldn't. The environment is eerie, but nothing came from it. I'm not sure if my game was broken or glitched, but there is a lot missing I feel. Oh well.

Even to this day Seagull still remains my number one Ride song and the closer Vapour Trail isn’t too shabby either. Seagull youtu.be/In9yq3oNqCg?...

It's not scary, it's not interesting, the voice acting is plain silly, and the dialogue sounds like it was written by a ten year old trying to be edgy by swearing as much as possible. Look, I swear like a sailor and welcome cussing in video games, but the way this moron swears is just laughable, as if he just was handed a list of words that would qualify as offensive to a nun and had no idea how to use them naturally in a sentence. Stay far away from this mess.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A raw and uncomfortable experience. The game feels as though it was finished in a hurry, just to get the money flowing already. Fortunately, I bought this with a discount, so no real regrets, but I would definitely not pay $10 for such crap. To make myself clear, here are some details: The plot: it's like Hatred, another weird title where the "protagonist" is a manic killer with no particular reason to murder everyone in his path, only here you're a half-demon who's been "tortured and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game has trading cards. Don't buy it for 90% off, let alone the full price. I got this in a bundle of games, and I regret the purchase. Seriously, don't touch this abortion with a thirty and a half foot pole.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game looks really neat, but unfortunately for me (and a lot of other people, from the looks of it), it is completely unplayable because of the controls. Not to do with key bindings or anything - the mouse, keyboard AND gamepad literally don't work. The most luck I had was with my Xbox controller; however, the x and y axises are completely out of alignment, and although they have an option to calibrate this in the menu, it does not seem to do anything. I'm sure the devs know about this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good concept, good graphics, but bad optimization, and you have no idea where to go
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Most of my playtime with this game was spent wandering around aimlessly... I jumped almost all through the level until finding what I needed to find and all sorts of items start popping up in places I'd already been... In short, stay away!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Damn! Totally surprised by this game went in not expecting much but gave it a try anyway and I must say I am impressed. Great attention to detail especially in the environements and the spells/effects, it really looks so pretty for an Indie Game. I was also really taken back by the amazing atmosphere created by the music and the sound, definitely going to spring for the Soundtrack soon as well. Definitely give this game a go, especially now for Halloween season, great eerie atmosphere, nice…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is the reason I will never buy another Steam game without checking the reviews first. Absolutely terrible. The graphics look like they used the Quake 1 engine, the combat consists of standing there and clicking the left mouse button until the floaty head thing attacking you drops to the ground, and I could not find a route to progress any further into the game after about 15-20 minutes of play. Found a cave with a skull head looking rock in it and that's as far as I got. If you bought…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't waste your time on this unfished jank. Some good ideas don't make for a good game... heck not even a part of one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is it. This is rock bottom. This is the deepest pit of Hell. If you hate yourself and are looking to escalate those feelings, look no further. Vapour is beyond what mere mortals define as atrocious, there exists a state of suffering which was previously hidden from our senses. I always contemplate the same question whenever I play a game like this. Does the developer think; I've wasted the time so I may as well release it, or do they genuinely believe they have an acceptable product? I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An alpha build of a game where they charge 10 euro for... A prime example of an Indie game that will never get finished. There is not much sense in playing this game because it is riddled with bugs and performance issues. Also there is a general lack of direction on what to do, there is no HUD, no map or minimap. Some hints pop up but then you still won't be able to get through this glorified demo of a game. You can always watch the youtube playthrough I guess, as the devs themself suggested…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →kept glitching out, never tells you what buttons do what. Not playable
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a gorefest and that's it. The puzzles are too vague. The fog and fire effects constantly in your face are horrid. Jumpscares are cheap and random often not even facing the right way. There's no directions in the game, just "do this" "Ok where's this?" "Hahaha find it yourself in this dark and foggy "map" good luck ♥♥♥♥" 1/10 Refunded
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Open game, listen to intro. Not the worst story I've ever heard. Sure, it's a little corny, but it gives me a goal as a character and a bit of background. Around the end of the intro sequence I spin in the boat a few more times (it's about all you can do on the boat) and suddenly I find this weird visual glitch that throws my camera into an absolute chaos of spiraling. I get out of the boat, load the next area, test out a few controls... and by zooming in with right click I not only start…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I actually bought this game purely because the Alpha completely terrified me almost to the point of tears. Decided hey I could do a youtube video of vapor on my new computer and reignite that horror!! Got in the game and there is no sense of where you should go (gives you a name but not a direction), the punch is virtually useless and impossible to use, and it doesn't actually give you any warning whatsoever that the hell lord is around. At least in the old game you had that annoyingly…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very much trashy if im honest. 5 minute of intro were an unknown voice talks to you and you cant do anything while sitting in a boat. Once you get to the game, its basically "look for things to interact" while defending trash mobs that run around. Those have unknown health, deal unknown damage and are just weird all around. THe graphics are centuries old, the menus are insanely bad, controls confusing and gameplay negletable. Not recommended. And yes, i didnt get past the first level.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Vapour starts you off as a vengeful fighter trying to eliminate those who have wronged him in his life, the ones who sent him to hell/purgatory and in this quest you discover new and interested features. The game itself when you first play it feels like DOOM slapped with a bit of Elder Scrolls with the magic abilities, although the game does feature a collection of horrifying and quite disturbing monsters, jump scares are also in this game and the devs make a good use of them as well. PROS -…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THis game has awful controls. Extremely limited playability. The game is awful.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Blended elements with a creepy, dark environment. If your a fan of the old style games, this has elements that you will love. Had a good time playing this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best Series AND Best Game Master (Darrington Press): The Circle of Glass and Vapour on @hoardoftales.bsky.social is by far the series I am most proud of. unlabelledView post →got softlocked behind a broken checkpoint and gave up the prototype had so much potential, but this game is too broken to even be near playable and nothing really tells you what you have to do or where you have to go. the whole level design expects you to attempt to go out of bounds to actually progress with the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only buy this if you're an aspiring game developer with a copy of Unity, some asset store art, and you want examples of things you should never, ever do with them. Why, in my first and only five minutes of play I found examples of: Menus that pop up on their own, give you no clue about how to turn them back off again, obscure most of the screen, and apparently don't do anything at all. Puzzles so opaque you don't even know when you've encountered them. Glitchy, stuttering swimming controls.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is like a junk I don't mean to be rude, treasure differs in people's opinion, junk can be treausre as well for certain people, and they don't call it junk. Hopefully you get the point I'm trying to make. Back on the review, the developers should rename this game to Vapour: The Eye Surgery, because the lighting effects this game has, oh, how terrible. I needed 4 hours to finish the game, but there is not one single thing in the whole game, which would not tear your retina apart. The…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible. Controls rarely work, player gets stuck easily...I can't even get past the first few scenes without locking up.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In my opinion, the Vapor Prototype is really better, the truth is that I'm a little sorry that they left this project aside, it really could have given more, the game is not finished and also with quite serious errors, I'll keep the game I'm not going to refund it, this game deserved much more attention. But they tried despite failure.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♥♥♥♥ game, played it just for the cards. Luckily I got it for free, as a steam gift key.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm deleting all the terrible games from my library so it doesn't annoy me as much when I scroll through my thumbnails. This one makes the cut! Goodbye.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →didnt excpected something from the begining but its a bit worse(not from story so far).. its unplayable, sounds terible repeatable, monster animations could give you epileptic seizure. the atmosphere is really nice and dark on the other hand the scarejumbs arent scary they are anoying and just jumbs out of nowhere trying to give some clues but again to fast flashes makes to hurt for your eyes. would try playing this game again if it would be playable/fixed
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/M2RjPKmGcjE The attempt to create a dark brooding gothic first person action horror game sounds charming on paper but Vapour fumbles in the first few inches. The story boat ride intro focuses on how amazing and powerful the protagonist is to set an aspirational goal to justify starting the player with nothing. That narrative build up is ham fisted that it becomes comical. The actual game play is stumbling around a muddy world looking for nooks and crannies to hide power up…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Currently the game is constantly crashing my computer, didn't do it before, but now it does, what a shame :/
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Warning this game has an age restriction... I would not know as this cancer causes my entire computer to seize up whenever I launch it. I could not possibly recommend something that can do this much damage just by pushing play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is such an abhorrent mess that the developer should never touch a computer again, i would ban him from every library on the off chance that they might hijack one and attempt to download unity
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite terrible don't waste your time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Are you KIDDING ME??? What a piece of CRAP!!! How could something like this be put on steam? The worst 2.5 hours of my life. Worst game ever.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/TDN3-XrdTCE Whilst the premise to the game is quite interesting, sadly the execution is lacking. The graphics are ugly, the animations are clunky and the combat? Well so far the combat seems to consist of standing there and left clicking on an enemy until it dies. To make matters worse there is a fair bit of jumping involved to navigate the levels. Now jumping sections in 1st person is not great at the best of times, but it becomes even more of a chore here as your character…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →How this game has any positive reviews is mind boggling. Horrific combat, bad graphics and just a generally bad game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dull, boring and full of bugs
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This isn't a game , it's a one big bug. There's no horror , only annoyance by lagging and bugs. Delete.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm ususally one for trying out a game even with bad reviews on how clunky it is but damn...this is CLUNKY. To the point where I literalyl cannot continue in the game because it's just sp glitchy and clunky. Seems like it would be a decent game, if they would take the time to fix it up.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is not bad at least its idea but it should be executed better !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pffft. Wanted to know first hand why this "AO" game had so many negative reviews, plus it's incredibly cheap. The price is pretty low too. Couldn't start this stupid game; grey screen as soon as I launch it. I'd be upset if I spent more than a dollar on this thing. I didn't think I would have trouble just starting a Unity game of all things (I have Through the Woods and played a few other Unity games); this guy must've messed up bad.
