29 of 29 · most liked firstWhile this isn't an awful game. I can't say that I had much fun playing Undercover Missions. The story suffers from a rough English translation. There's quite a bit of engrish and nonsensical sentences in this game. All of which is voice acted rather blandly and monotone. Even when things get exciting. Our heroine sounds like she is about to fall asleep. Frankly, I can't say much about the story because it didn't make much sense to me. All I got out of the plot was that someone wants to blow…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hi, after a little more than 20 hours of playing (didn't use any help) I want to share with you my impressions of this game! First of all, I love watching documentaries on history, espionage and conspiracy theories, so to me the game's setting based on the Russian nuclear submarine Kursk K-141, which sank under unclear circumstances in August 2000, is quite compelling. Playing a Russian secret agent, your investigations in the murder of an undercover partner imply that a criminal organisation…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best way to describe "Operation Kursk K-141" is to call it a missed opportunity. I really hate it when adventure games are bad, because just making the effort to make an adventure game confines its creator to a very select niche. The most part of the budget was clearly devoted to the graphics and animation part, which might not be exceptional, but is above the average 2D, pixelated indie efforts. However, after finishing the game and realizing they must have run out of money at the end,…

As are all agents from this elite group, you have been given a new identity upon your appointment! Your new name is Milena Belyaeva and you have been given the task to look into a new criminal organization, “VORY,” which recruits former…

At some point I think they used software-generated voices. This is how bad the voice acting is. * Lots and lots of backtracking * Pixel-hunting * Item hunting. Items just suddenly appear out of nowhere, after some trigger has occured. They appear in places you could never have suspected. There could be a locker, or a cabin, in which you looked 10 times and never had the game told you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although the overall look is not state of the art and has the charm of an older game, which some might say could be on purpose as a reminiscence about the year the games takes place :), it is a good classic point and click adventure game with an excellent and unusual some kind of a chamber play thriller plot. Fans of old school adventure games will definitely not be disappointed. I like it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed playing the game. Was impressed by the long playing time - it took me 4 hours to finish chapter 1 and 2. All in all, I would recommend this game to all who love the adventure genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Whether you're a fan of oldschool point & click adventures or into mystery and crime solving, you should definitely give this one a try. It may be lacking a bit in regards to polishing, but if you dare to look beyond that, you won't be disappointed!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game on winter sale and didn't regret it. Although some existing reviews were not good, I have to say, that for that price it's a decent classic point and click adventure with an elaborate story. The graphics and animations are not brilliant, but ok for an indie title like this, developed by a small team. If you are into Russian submarines and a thrilling twisting plot this is the game for you. If it's on sale, grab it, it's worth it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My God this game is slow its like watching paint dry visited every item and place in the first room and still cant get out the room and she moves so slowly its like an old 60's game wish Id never bothered..... overpriced

unlabelledView post →I have bashed so many games with "not recommended" reviews. Mostly they have been games with an average and above ranking. I was rather curious to try this one out, because it has been receiving outright catastrophically bad reviews and I have to say that my surprise was huge. This is not a bad game at all. Okay, the voice acting is sometimes pretty awful, and sure, the game has a little amateurish feel to it, but I think it's actually FAR from horrible. The graphics are really nice, puzzles…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok, so this is a point and click adventure game with a decent story. But I had to use a walkthrough on it because it acts differently from other games in this genre. For instance having to click the same object multiple times to get a result. Props to the people that took the time and experienced the hardships to make a walkthrough for this title. I have only played a couple of these kinds of games though so I don't know if this is a common experience. It had a SERIOUS drawback though.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible Point and Click As a big lover of point and click style games, and an owner of over 90% of them on Steam, I have to say that this is just plain terrible. The thing that stood out from the outset was the appaling voice acting, this is extremely important when you create these type of games. Ontop of this the animations are slow and just very badly done, the speech to mouth movement is not existent and the game is just lacking in so many places that I can't even play this any longer. I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A decent adventure for an indie game studio. Some riddles were not too obvious and hard to solve, but I'm also not a pro in adventure games. Not fully finished yet, but overall I can recommend it to adventure fans who like this kind of story-setting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great Game! I really liked the unusual setting (90ies-"historic", submarine). I'm old enough to remember the Kursk-Incident and now I am on board solving this mystery, or ... (you have to play it yourself :-))!! Sure the graphics are not that shiny as in these AAA-Games but I've never played adventures because of graphics but because of story and character(s). And I liked the story as well as the characters in this game very much. Also the idea playing this hard boiled female agent intrigued…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Graphics and theme are not bad, but bad voice acting, poor Russian language research, wooden dialogues/writing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Undercover Missions: Operation Kursk K-141 is a narrative-driven point-and-click adventure that reaches for the tension of a spy thriller while anchoring itself to a real historical tragedy. Developed by The Game Species and published by OGRE Engine, the game casts players as undercover Russian agent Milena Belyaeva, tasked with tracing the disappearance of her partner and unraveling a criminal conspiracy linked to the doomed submarine K-141 Kursk. The premise is immediately compelling: it…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didn't played the game much but so far I can tell that the voice acting in English is simply terrible, specially the one of our protagonist. The dramatic moments are terribly portrayed and they seem like a joke. I didn't tried the german voices but im sure they are better than the english ones (wished the game had russian voices for more realism though). The animations of the characters are terrible too. I may refund depending on how bad this continues, so far it looks interesting...but…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely loved this game, just like the all time greats in the point and click genre i.e Broken Sword you get gripped in the story and can't seem to put this down until it's complete!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This might be, respectfully, the worst point and click adventure game I have ever played. Bad voice acting, forgettable soundtrack, confused storyline, illogical puzzles, frustrating gameplay based on backtracking, random changes of the environment, bugs, poor animation and lack of cutscenes. I have played dozens of adventure games and so far this is the worst.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool abandonware
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a FUN one this time
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would only recommend you buy on sale and watch videos on you tube 1st so you understand what the game is like
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unbelievably illogical puzzles.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was desperate for a sub game and thought this could be a fix, boy what a mistake-literally tens of bugs await anyone shelling out cash for this clunker of an adventure game-stay away, run!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's impressive how this game's voice actors shut down the global quaalude market... by consuming them all. It's as bad as Mystery of the Droods, but not as kusoge-funny.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its not very good its not very exciting. Its not my idea of fun.
