I cannot tell you how annoying it was to start the last act 3 times only to do it all again in the next session. After the 4th time we deleted it without finishing. I officially hate this now. Please manage the option to save your progress, or at least gimme a code to unlock the single chapters in an act (so I dont have to…

Honestly, playing it solo would probably feel a bit too easy and casual for an adult, but playing in co-op with my 10-year-old daughter? It’s an absolute bullseye. The puzzles and pacing are just right for playing together. If you're looking for a great game to share and pass the time with your child, I couldn't recommend it more!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Trine 4 is not just a game, it's a fairy tale. It's an experience where the screen ceases to be a monitor and becomes a crystal window into a dreamlike realm, painted with a palette of colors that seem to be drawn from the northern lights and forbidden forests.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Trine 4 is a visually stunning platformer with beautifully crafted environments and charming characters. The puzzles are creative and often require teamwork to solve, making it fun both solo and co-op. While the story is light, the gameplay keeps you engaged throughout. Overall, it’s a delightful and enchanting experience for fans of the series and newcomers like me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played Trine 2 when i was little still the peak that i remember
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →underrated Trine out of the other Trine games and it's the best in the series. it has pretty scenery, unique abilities and such a good story. had lots of fun playing it. 10/10 game, i highly recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →* This review only covers my solo playthrough. It's clear that the game was designed with co-op in mind, and because of that, some parts are harder to play alone, while others are actually easier. Having to constantly switch between three characters can also get tiring at times. That said, there's a creative approach to solving puzzles, and I think it can be a lot of fun in co-op. There's a lot of physics-based gameplay, but combined with controls that aren't always precise, it can…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After the misstep of Trine 3 - I didn't even see its unfinished plot referenced, I guess it's gone down in-universe as an unimportant quest of the heroes? - Frozenbyte arguably played it safe for the better here, dialing back to the 2.5D gameplay that made especially Trine 2 so great. It's good to be back to the original gameplay and overall puzzle design, sprinkled with some new features like the elemental arrows, especially the versatile ice arrows. Of course you'll often be left scratching…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the fourth installment of Trine that my friends and I are playing through, and it's still great. The story is engaging, the locations are beautiful, and after the third installment, this one is back to 2D. Character leveling has returned, and the game is quite well optimized. Unfortunately, there were a few bugs here and there, but they're not too critical. My rating: ✭✭✭✭✰
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has a charming art style, and oh my, the environmental design was actually gorgeous for a puzzle platformer game! I myself am not a fan of platformer games, but remote playing with friends was a fun experience, solving each location's puzzles together, falling off unintentionally and occasional (skill) issues. It's a cool brainteaser where you can use whichever character is suitable for your team to pass through the terrain, depending on what skill you need like conjuring and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s a gorgeous game, but let’s be honest: you’re playing this for the co-op chaos. Puzzles are fun and all, but mostly we just spend our time stacking random junk and accidentally squishing each other with the physics engine. Hilarious time if you've got friends to play with.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beware, this game contains bugs that could waste your time. In Heatherwood Hall for example, I encountered a bug where a stone block was suppose to be up hanging on the ceiling (which later had to be shot down into using Zoya's arrow). Without this block, proceeding onto the upper deck is simply impossible. However when I reached there, the block was missing on the ceiling! I had only realized about the bug upon restarting the game where I get to see that block. But by then that bug had already…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone who hasn't played any other Trine games, this was a nice little game. The combat feels a bit out of place as it just kinda.. happens. But the 3 different characters you have to switch between constantly to do puzzles keeps the game feeling fresh! My brain doesn't like the most simple puzzles so I won't play this again but was enjoyable for a short duration
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gorgeous physics-based puzzle game. I loved how you can approach puzzles in different ways based on the character you're using and the abilities you have unlocked. It took around 14 hours to get all the achievements.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Trine is a beautiful series of games. It's worth picking up not only Trine 4 but the rest of the Trine series as it's just a lot of fun to explore, play through and even replay at times. Great puzzles, loads of fun and awesome gameplay.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fourth game. Finished everything… and yep, still zero idea what’s going on.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's just so... boring. Formulaic, paint by numbers. Really really easy until almost the end of the game. Fights are all basically the same - locked in a cage, kill a few guys, back to normal. Compared to Trine 1, Trine 2 is not great, but this is, by far, the worst yet. It's all just "okay" and it's such a drag I feel like I've been playing 40 hours, not 4. I'm in the beginning of Act III and I can hardly think of a single memorable gameplay moment. The levels are way too long, and there are…

unlabelledView post →Personally, the best and most enjoyable entry in the Trine series. Preferably played in local co-op with a controller (though keyboard & mouse is recommended if playing the Wizard).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After a not-so-successful experiment with Trine 3, the devs realized one simple truth: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. What made T1 & 2 great comes back here even better. So far (haven't tried T5 yet) this is the best game in the series, so I definitely recommend it for 3-player co-op.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun and absolutely beautiful game, I loved the graphics, me and my bae took many photos :P Puzzles are nice, smooth gameplay and I enjoyed every part of this game, recommended!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Initially seemed like it could become the best Trine game and an excellent cooperative platformer, thanks to its beautiful presentation, smooth gameplay, and promising physics-based puzzles. Unfortunately, many puzzles accept only the exact solution intended by the developers, while creative alternatives often fail for arbitrary reasons. The final boss completely breaks the game’s cooperative puzzle-focused design by suddenly demanding aggressive precision-platforming skills, fast reactions,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's very fun, but the Wizard was so badly nerfed while the others have many cool new features.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worst platformer I've ever played. Poorly optimized, low gameplay variety, absolute trash fighting mechanics, riddles for toddlers
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a total blast. Whether you're flying solo or playing co-op, the mid-to-late game design is awesome because there’s never just one way to clear a stage. You can either rack your brains to solve it properly, or just brute-force it and hope you get lucky. On top of that, the graphics are gorgeous, the soundtrack is beautiful, and the story is super wholesome. I highly recommend picking this up to play with friends, family, adults, and kids alike!…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The puzzles in Trine 4 and it's DLC are incredibly fun and well-done. While the end of the base game got a bit annoying, the DLC more than made up for this. The story does not take itself too seriously but is fun enough, this time the focus is on the Astral Academy and not the Trine or more goblins. The control scheme differs from 1 and 2, taking inspiration from 3. This takes some adjusting to, but does end up adding to the later puzzles. But the controls do get messy about halfway in,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you read this review, you have probably played one game of Trine at least, so you can see where I'm coming from. Always feels like you're in a charming fairy tale. Graphics, in game animals, and plants are way better than in past games. As a veteran of Trine 1/2/3, I can say I did feel much nostalgia about the first and second games because they used the new mechanics, especially electrical water, blocks, and puzzles, but it is better than the third game, obviously. There is one small…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I adore this game and the franchise. Luckily I've a friend. Couldn't possibly have beaten it by myself.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10 would recommend. I have left a review on trine 1 and 2, and i feel like I am just repeating myself at this point. It is an amazing game that gives you more of what you loved about the previous games. They have made some changes to object interactions which sometimes make things easier and at times can be a little glitchy. But otherwise this games has some of the best puzzles in the entire series and combat is very fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this a really fun puzzle game probably my favorite puzzle game rivaled only by portal
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. The puzzles in this game were very fun and enjoyable. The fighting was kind of lackluster compared to other trine games, but it was something new and fresh.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →But in good news, Trine 4 is starting off real strong! Such a gorgeous game and it’s been a ton of fun cosmic braining through all the puzzles so far! 🤯
unlabelledView post →Trine 4 is steadily becoming my favorite game for this year. I especially love how it encourages players in coop to discuss ideas & work together to conquer puzzles & enemy encounters. Each character has a skill that can benefit the whole team. With the right mindset, no problem is too difficult.
unlabelledView post →♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! You developers think, you all can ruin my sleep! At the last boss fight (or whatever that is), you guys want to make sure players start all over again like a cow eating grass with no other work. May you all (all developers) never get good sleep at least for a few months. I REGRET BUYING THIS GAME! Unfortunately I can not get a refund, which is fine. The game was cheap af! But you all thought our time was cheap too! I am sure the developers had gone through some serious mental and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a small indie team, this is a really cute game to play with friends. The puzzles are clever and sometimes pretty challenging, the world is very beautiful, and the controls work smoothly. I do wish some more polish was made with the combat, story, and sound design, but it's not taking away from the overall joy of the game. Recommended! fun time that's worth the investment
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the first games I played with my eldest. Excellent visuals that kept her hooked, with simple enough controls that she could start with. Highly recommended.
