60 of 145 · most liked firstSadly, I'm disappointed. I had envisioned a well polished 'modern' vision of the classic Transport Tycoon, instead what was presented was a somewhat watered down half-cooked revamp. On the plus side it supports 'modern' wide-screen resolutions (to a point), however even those didn't seem fully supported as there was screen flickering and artifacts around menu text. The game feels very slow and awkward when navigating around the 'huge' maps (which aren't as HUGE as I'd have liked). I appreciate…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a game that came out in 2004 it's definitely worth trying out, If you played the game back in the day it's a lot better the graphics look amazing compared to what they where, and it plays a lot smoother and better. It's still the same great game it always has been. If you have played OpenTTD, TT , TTD, Railroad Tycoon 1-3, It's not as good as those game but it has a similar feel. Pros: Diversity in transporting good. Lots of ways to transport goods. Good balance for micromanagement.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I bought this game when it was first released, I loved it. While challenging, it was also fun to play and I spent many hours completing the campaigns. Unfortunately, since it's been released on Steam, I haven't had much success or fun with it. The first three laptops I tried to install it to and play it on were not successful. I had the flickering issue on the main menu page --which didn't clear up and there's no help or bug fix to resolve it. On the third laptop, I was finally able to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →*******EDIT: (9/9/14) So after some messing around I found that running the game in a resolution like 1280x1024 seems to improve the lagging and stuttering I experienced while moving about the map. Now, it's not great but it's better then when I'm running at 1920x1200. Hope that helps.******* Unfortunately this game does not, at this time, receive my recommendation because the game performs like garbage. It really upsets me to see this great title being defamed in this manner. Everything that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, but the awfully is transferred in the Steam. A lot of bugs, lack of optimization, do not appear competitors in the game, do not appear tips. I recommend, but not the Steam version.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Basic Information Title: Transport Giant Developer: United Independent Entertainment GmbH Publisher: United Independent Entertainment GmbH Genre: Economic Simulator General Impression Transport Giant is most certainly not the only economic sim on Steam to tackle the infrastructural subject. But it’s one of the better ones, still. Where it lacks in the looks department, it totally makes up for in terms of gameplay mechanics. It has a shifting economy around which revolve dozens of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great tycoon game, working perfectly. 1920x1080 HD, Windows 8.1
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Dev's have all but abandoned the game once they got it out and released. It's seriously been months and they knew about the graphical glitches on the first day of release. :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worst game every thought it was updated for windows 8 and would work on new monitors i was wrong wish i read the reveiws first. Does not work on windows 8 tried everything. If you could refund games on this i would be getting one for this game. Should never be allowed on steam and advertised as updated,
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Greeting all, Lets get this train moving shall we? :-/ sorry, I could not help it. I snapped this up from steam quickly without reading anything about the game as this is the type of game I love. I wish I did, But let me get to that in a minute, Firstly on loading this game I was greeted by the main menu, It was fast loading as the specifications for this game is not high at all, Where do I start, I guess a tutorial would be a good place........Wait...What......No Tutorial? Strange, but it's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Old style Transport management game. Decent enough. But the music.... it's the best I've heard on any game.. ever.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This steam Version bearly works. This is an old game I used to love, but on my very powerful computers it bearly runs. it's just choppy and laggy and unresponsive. Back in the days, on a very very old computer, this game used to run smoothely... It seems a major update was released just the other day, strange. You shouldn't spend more than 3$ on this.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finally I can play this game again. It is so much fun to build a transport company and manage all the vehicles. The graphic is a bit old but who cares when you have a lot of fun in this package. The game works just fine on my desktop. I played already more than 20 h on Win 8.1 and have no problems at all with it. On the Surface I couldn't play it because of the onboard graphic card but I saw there is a remark on that in the discription.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Transport Giant is yet another "tycoon" game that was made back in 2004 and attempted to bring back the excitement of playing transportation games. Unfortunately, as far as I am concerned, the game fails to bring that excitement. A decent amount of work was put into making this game, but that is all - just decent. Although for a 2004 game the graphics are up to par, there are notable interface and menu design problems that make it difficult for players to play as smoothly as they did with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What I have to say is to long really, so ill leave it at this. Crap starting out. Once you learn to play (no tutorial in game use youtube) it can be pretty fun. And please to the Devs, add a few tutorials for main game play and one that explains how signals work. If you don't mind looking up totorials on youtube, and have a fair ammount of time to play (and a good attention span), this game is pretty good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i finally get to play the game i loved all those years ago, im glad nothing changed in it, no graphic changes, no extra content, nothing more....and i like it that way, it means i get straight in to playing it without having to learn tons of new stuff that might of ruined it. same missions, vehicles, sounds and music. the only difference is that you can play it on a modern OS rather than just XP and lower. A old game reborn :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good for everyone with nostalgic feelings towards that game. However, a lot of comfort functionality we are used to (like drag and drop, doubleclicks) are missing and the signalling system is unusable. If you are willing to invest some time into this game to learn it, than it is a good choice for you. If not, stay away, you won't have much fun with it... And never forget, all tracks have to be connected, you cannot build a second networks without a connection to the previous... :tram:…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Transport Giant 'gold' was/is a great game to play. Nice features for a small game and a lot of opitons for a great transportnetwork. This game is simular to the 2004 game Transport Giant Gold Edition. There are a few new feautures who are added on. And the tool to zoom out/in has become a great tool to oversee your map! What I realy miss in this steam version: " the competitors ". When you start a random map/free to play, the game asks you how many compeditors you want to add on, but they…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doesn't work. Crashes every time I run it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game with transport tycoon in mind and it failed my expectations. The controls are difficult and it feels disorganized. There is very little in-game help. If I could get a refund for this game I would.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Your expression when you realize this is a 2004 game. I felt a sense of playing with my hot wheels tracks and rigging the pieces altogether for the vehicle to swoosh through. Except that its more like logistics in the 19th century. If only, they had included more maps and boards to meander around, as it comes with only 3 campaigns. Still, expect to have hundreds of hours of gameplay and refreshment :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very addicting and fun game. i recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game quality is like in pre-beta, this game cannot be really compared to such clasics like Transport tycoon or Railroad tycoon, controls are totaly stupid, like no one ever tested it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh god, don't try playing this game beyond 1080p! It's a pretty good game when I first bought it in 2004. It still is, but there are better alternatives nowadays. The only things I really noticed that are new is high-resolution support and a refreshed UI (visuals only). I'd like to compare this with Train Fever, they are similar in terms of realism. This game has a few more ways of transport (e.g. ships, planes, friggin zeppelins!). But that's where the advantages end. This biggest…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an old game with good mechanics , but there is a big issue the game recognize only integrated intel adapter and not the Nvidia in my leptop (Lenovo legion) i tryed to disable it and play only with Nvidia but the game crashed so in game I was gating 10 -20 FPS it's not fun to play like this .I tried everything believe me without any results. We need Transport Giant 2 I played 2 hours and the game play is very cool !
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a piece of crap... they offer old game with a lot of bugs. I am fan of Open TTD, and i still will be. Do not waste you money for this game. Is worthless. It really supprised me that Steam gave their brand name for this game.... as a special edition. I want my money back!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- Limited resolution, can not run it in 2560x1600. - Unable to contain mouse within the game on multi-screen setup, also the mouse pointer sometimes get stuck on the secondary monitor resulting in a need to alt-tab out and in again. - Clumsy UI, lacking information in soooo many places, UI not even remotely intuitive in any way. - Esc = auto save on a generic "lastsave" slot and instantly quit to main menu (no warning/confirmation) instead of showing the menu, very VERY annoying. Most of the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My grandfather originally bought this for me years ago when i was still a kid. Loved it ever since. I always keep coming back to this game. I'm sure i still have the disc for it.. somewhere..
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Run this game on i7-8750H + GTX1050 Ti + 8gigs of ram and having awfully low fps when moving to another place in the maps (quite annoying for me). My old asus M6Ne made in 2004 with Intel Pentium M735 + Mobility Radeon 9700 + 512 MB DDR1 run the old version far better and smoother. The problem is the steam version runs on igpu rather than the GTX1050Ti one, no matter what i did the game still runs on igpu. I bought the steam edtion since the old version have a bug when installed on modern…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Transport Giant It is no use to buy any old games on steam because there are no support to help you play the games or to help with game issues. Sorry never again. It's a waist of money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →don't buy it. seriously, just DON'T BUY IT. first at all : I LOVE THIS GAME. spent countless hours, hundreds of them, dozen nights playin' the TG GOLD. really, really love it. and i still love this game. so i was happy to see it at 2 eur and smth on sale. took it right away, start playing it. and the sad truth is that is not worthy of your time. why? - FLICKERING. despite what the devs might say, the flikering is unbearable. no way you can play it without headaches after 15 minutes. the devs…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →🌙 Evening gamers, here's a PC game you may never have heard of before? Transport Giant is a stratergy building game that's presented in a birds eye view perspective, typical of the tome, however, there's some unique gameplay behind the surface Would you recomend it? #GamersUnite #RetroGaming
unlabelledView post →Very disappointed, the game keeps crashing and if you want to stay sane backing up every ten minutes or so when you are upgrading or building extensions.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game doesnt start. All i get, is a black screen. DONT BUY IT, until they fixed this. This is a joke: release of an old game with a huge bug. I want my money back.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This Transport Giant with Stream version, is not suit to Windows 8 (64-bit)... I tried but nope of Stream support or Developer able to help. Please anyone can help me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game for those who love to sit for themselves and have fun with old school games Tough campaign, but quickly addictive game with the endless
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had a CD copy of this game when I was around 10. Saddly I lost it after move into the new home. I can't believe I found it on Steam. It's a great game compare to other money garbing simulation game. Do mind that graphics is really old, but it works perfectly on Windows 10 since developers still maintain it after 14 years. Transport Fever is just a copy/paste of this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favorite games, but steam ruined it. It's almost unplayable due to technical issues.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok, make one super large railline circuit and you can build hundreds of trains, make it go to every city on the map. Setting up the trains to go every station in a counter clockwise direction may take time, but you will have your trains. Then expand off that circuit, you can and it will build. Cannot build separate rail circuits. To order a vehicle to actually pick up goods, set its 1st order, and select the cargo you want, then CLICK THE ARROW POINTING LEFT.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cant play game. Just get black screen. Steam dont seem to care. Plenty of others in forums have similar problem. Avoid.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game could be so much better. Building train routes could be made so much easier. Why no just let us click and drag the train route?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Installed game, hit "play now"............ fail - app already in use - steam error. Havent played it but this comes up, go figure.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A late start but still a start. To give Transport Giant a fairer shake, I brought my Dell Latitude out with Win XP installed on it and bought a copy of the game that can run on it. Let's Go. #envtuber #vtuber #vsky #goinglive #tbcronline twitch.tv/tbcr_

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had the gold edition version before, the performance on the steam edition is better but the UI interface is nicer on the gold edition. it's exactly the same as the original version. the improvement is in the resolution only
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tough campaign, but quickly addictive game with the endless game, why someone would dislike this game? Would be great to have Transport Giant 2, with some flaws fix.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of all I will say that I am and always have been a big fan of this game. But when I decided to try the steam version it was rather a disappointment. When you load up the game it doesnt look anywhere near as cool as transport giant gold edition. Also when you play it it slows down during the middle of play. Additionally when you are playing the control layout looks different to how it used to be. It seems easier to use but I just like it how things used to be. Also for some reason the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →only one word : DONT BUY IT AND F**K THIS GAME
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recieved Steam achievements along with a patch no less than 12.5 years after it's initial release. Now that's support!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not polished, roughed in or even playable. Don't bother.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In a similar vein to TTD but with really frustrating controls. I had to watch a "Let's Play" to work out why my horses wouldn't collect goods. This looked promising but even attempting to play several times I just get annoyed and quit.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game looks like a fun sim but since there is no tutorial it would take way too long to figure out what to do. I tried to figure out how to set a route to no avail. If you've played this in the past it may be worth getting. If you're new to the game like me, trying to learn everything by trial and error, it just isn't worth my time. Especially when there are other similar games out there that will, at the very least, teach you the basics.
