60 of 171 · most liked first! There is no local splitscreen anymore ! This was the only reason I bought the game again (I played it 8 year ago using local 4 player mode all the time). Apparently there is a workaround get this option back (create your own title slot in mania planet that is based on the original game). But additionally you are not able to access any campagin maps. There seems again an option to download the maps from somewhere. But it looks to me as if you would need to download them one by one. And even if…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doing a Left-Right steering movement in the very first second after the 3-2-1 is actually faster than just driving straight. if thats not a 10/10, idk what is.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rating: 7/10 TrackMania² Valley offers a refreshing change of pace in the TrackMania² series with its gorgeously detailed environments and tighter, more technical tracks. While it maintains the series' high-speed arcade racing, the focus on precision and the switch to a more realistic car physics model sets it apart. Though it introduces some exciting new features, it suffers from some issues that might deter casual players. What Works Well? 🏞️ Stunning Visuals and Landscapes Valley offers a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't play the game! It wont download more than 108 mb on my hdd, and it says update failed when i launch the game. It used to work before ;(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of the cases, where I wished, steam had a neutral/informative option, but alas this is not the case. I really enjoyed the game in the beginning on the white and green tracks. The handling of the valley car needs some getting used to, but isn't too bad after a few hours of practice. I would recommend playing with a controller, as I had an easier time adjusting to the mechanics with a controller, than with a keyboard. The main issue I have with the game are the tracks. You see, the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not buy or play Ubisoft games again. This is a response after Ubisoft revoked players "The Crew" license from their libraries.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quick Score: 3/5 Notes: This one is barely a recommend for me. By far one of the most frustrating to actually control, but by no means is it a bad game. Would recommend most other trackmanias over this one. My tier list for the trackmania games. (Not including 2020) This is only in regards to the experience of going for the author medals and is not considering any custom levels or online content. 1. Stadium 2. Canyon 3. Nations (Would recommend most people start with this one because its…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I keep going back to this game after getting bored by the new 2020 game. Game runs smooth, looks great, and the driving is the best of all environments in the series imo. Community levels are great, though i haven't tried editing tracks myself yet. Online is mostly dead these days, though there seems to be timed rotations of events where roughly 20 people bounce between the different tm games. I downloaded maniaplanet separately and just signed in using the maniaplanet account as opposed to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sadly Maniaplanet broke the game. I really love TM but this just ruins things, and they're not fixing anything for old players as far as I've found. A sad departure.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really great game and these graphics are still awesome! Absolutely fun to play with friends. Also map creating is really good and everything in this game reminds of 2008 <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved the original Trackmania (2003), I have the original disc with the Power Up pack Sunrise, and even United and Nations were good too. Even bought the Celebrat10n TrackMania Complete Pack to play with the newer ones later. But... The ManiaPlanet makes the whole thing a mess! Tried to add an earlier car model (which I played in 2015), and couldn't find the actual in the Workshop, which I was pretty sure it was up there and subbed to it.…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →probably not the beginner friendliest but nicest and prettiest Trackmania
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is prolly my favourite TrackMania² environment. I highly recommend to at least try this awesome game, even though the playerbase is basically dead.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played trackmania since its very early days and this one is as good as ever, but unfortunately, it is completely dead. Get it only if you like playing solo tracks and competing on the leaderboards.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got rank 2 Serbia with 10 hours my mom is so proud of me
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The TrackMania series is best described as "the single player racer that a lot of people can enjoy simultaneously together." The main novelty being that other players are unclippable ghosts and people compete on perfect time alone without any danger of crashes. Valley features a huge amount of different content, race classes, both arcade and simulation modes, back on release gorgeous graphics which aged remarkably well and probably one of the coolest racing soundtracks I've personally…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This suffers the same failings as the other TM2 games, because it uses the exact same (awful) launcher as the other two games. Don't buy it unless you want painfully slow, failure prone updates instead of actual gameplay. EDIT: I opened the game again and there was another update, for TM Canyon. I haven't installed TM Canyon.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow, this was disappointing. The ManiaPlanet UI was utterly broken - nonfunctional - it wouldn't launch the actual game at all. This is the first time I've ever requested a Steam refund.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly the best Trackmania game of all time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the maniaplanet 4 update is just awful, it basically screams: "go do something else" its a shame since valley was my favourite Environment from the original Trackmania 1
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best trackmania environment if you ask me. Maybe not for everyone though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →man, i lost my key and can't recover my account. It's also somehow worse than i remember it. Even when i could play it, i couldn't figure out how to actually start a level :(, feels dead to me
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this game after seeing Ross Scott's video about it one too many times, and I enjoy it. So far I've just been playing the campaign mode, though I want to try out some mods eventually. A few tracks have really strange layouts that can make the game tiring to play for long periods of time, but I like the consistency and relative calmness of this game. It gives me something to do for 20 minutes while I watch a video, and for that in particular Trackmania Valley is a nice game to have.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game cant be started anymore from the TM Planet Hub. Host TM Servers are down too.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →lovely game. i don't have much to say other than it's underrated as hell, it has to be my favorite TM² environment in general. it has a great climate, the car is just so fun to drive, and i had most fun building my maps here. it's a shame nadeo moved on to TM2020.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The launcher is fully broken.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This review goes for basically all of the TM2 Titles I have played (I have Canyon, Valley, and Stadium) It is a great game for a quick fun time. I mostly use it in the following way: Enter the advanced Map Editor, and see whatever I just come up with it on the spot. Even on the off chance that it is a simple basic track it becomes fun to try to perform well on it. And on the higher chance of creating a mess of a track trying to fight through the madness is the peak TrackMania experience. It is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice game imo, great physic, great graphics, small player base sadly
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →REMOVE UPLAY CLIENT REQUIREMENT, ITS DUMB T RUN 2+ CLIENTS!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played TM Canyon. Love it. Got the Valley. Hate it. The car is really slow and sluggisn with really frustrating handling. The landscapes are boring. The game feels slow and sluggish, lacks any sense of speed and feels more frustrating, instead of challenging to play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →On the technical side of things there is no reason to complain. It runs smoothly, it looks great and has no major bugs or crashed as far as i am concerned. But the problem is, it makes no fun playing it. Driving feels just like a chore and not like a fun experience. Hunting all medals is just boring and nothing else. The cars handle much differently (that can be positve or negative), but in my opinion it does not come near the flow of stadium or older tm titles. Also no puzzle or stunt mode.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, would recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In my opinion the best of TrackMania²
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good physics and handling even on dirt! Love it. The environment's design and graphics are beautiful aswell. Love all of the new features in TrackMania2 compared to the old games. While TM Turbo might have all environments together, it's more worth getting the TM2 titles than actually buying Turbo due to the horrible physics and console based PORT of Turbo on PC. So if you're deciding which TM2 title you're going to buy, avoid Turbo at all costs, the port is bad, not to mention good features…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A relaxing but still very skillful game. It's surprisingly social to race and chat with other players. Valley is my favorite environment with its beautiful natural scenery. I keep coming back to this game once in a while.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The classic TM was some oif the most fun racing you could have on PC, for some reason TM Valley feels like a downgrade. Still, the positive aspect of it is that you can still build your own races and put them up for download for other players OR doenload other players' custome tracks and races. The potential is seemingly unlimited, but you need to buy the part of the game for which you download custom races. Like if there is a custom race made for Stadium, you need to own the Stadium DLC. With…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Personally favourite enviroment of all TM series
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didn't enjoy this as much as TrackMania² Stadium, but this game is still plenty of fun. Locations look great and have some variety. My biggest issue is that driving feels a bit off. Especially drifting and driving on dirt. It takes a while to get used to but it's just frustrating not being able to navigate in a complete straight line when on dirt, because even the smallest steering makes you navigate too much to the left or right.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's Trackmania, Europe's best kept secret. No other racing franchise compares. This particular TM2 outing is IMO just as good as Stadium, but perhaps not on the level of Canyon my personal fave. It's a shame TM2020 is a soulless cash grab would love a real Trackmania 3.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i like it so much
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is an absolute blast to play, even in 2024! I always felt like the new TM2020 lost a lot of its character when compared to the older versions, and the subscription access fee cut me right off. The visuals and music in Valley (and all the older environments) are gorgeous, and there's always loads to do with the official Nadeo campaign, StarTrack campaign, Turbo reloaded campaign, ManiaExchange map downloads, online servers, level editor, I could go on! Definitely give this a shot.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Evil ubisoft scammers stole my license to the game and are holding it hostage, even with original proof of purchase. Password to unnecessary secondary Ubisoft account mysteriously changed and they refuse to recover, not bullshitting.. Unfortunately... Worst publisher in the business.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have this extremely long-term project where I'm finishing as many TrackMania² Valley tracks as I can. For me it's one of those games for when I'm feeling down or just want to relax, so it's a fun thing to do to keep it fresh. Of course I have a spreadsheet for it 😄: docs.google.com/spreadsheets...
unlabelledView post →good game with nice scenery
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →got what i expected. good value for money. the whole mania planet thing is a little annoying tho, but doesn't impact the game so whatever ig
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun, fast, challenging, easy to pick, tough to master, simple and efficient all around ! Great game ! And still to this day ! Aged like fine wine ! 2010's Trilogy: Stadium > Valley > Canyon. In my opinion
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well well would you be surprised, driving feels good in a game that was made specifically for you to drive in. The only problem I have with the game is the lack of clarity on some of the maps. Not really an issue on white-green-blue but on red and black I really struggle seeing where I need to go. More arrows would have been useful, also the offroad segments are hard to memorize because you have no reference to memorize the corners aside from "ah yes, BUSH" Other than that, it's 10/10,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TrackMania is a game where I particularly enjoy the handling. The handling is truly superb, and the best part is that it feels consistent across all versions of the game. I can't say that all handlings are the same, as there are differences, such as in TrackMania Nations where the handling is a bit more challenging. However, one version stands out, unfortunately not available on Steam – TrackMania Original from 2003. All other versions follow its model, which is great because the Original…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Usual fun gameplay loop of beating the gold medal time. That being said it handles differently from Stadium which is something I wish I knew earlier but it makes learning the game more interesting. The environment is probably my most favorite so far (having not yet played Canyon) and the tracks are smooth and fluid
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →before the review wanna mention a majority of my playtime has been outside of steam with a separately installed maniaplanet, using the key/registration for valley i got from steam. i have 47 gold models in the valley campaign as of writing this (coincidentally the same as lagoon lol), and a couple of higher tier author medals. personally my favorite of the trackmania2 environments. big fan of the track designs and car controls. and its still easily one of the prettiest environments in the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →you have to trick the car into doing what you want it to do. Best of the TM2 environments
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not good anymore.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you have the error "Could not install or update the title's files" or a similar problem downloading, try this: It helped me, and now I can play the game. Just copy it and paste in to Google. It will start downloading the patch. http://files.v04.maniaplanet.com/setups/Maniaplanet_SetupFull.zip
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun arcade racer with modding support. The Multiplayer is dead (maybe except for Stadium) though. It's also really frustrating to figure out how to run it properly, but you should be fine if you download the official full planetmania package (google it) and install it in the steam version's directory. The regular version of the launcher is broken.
