I tried not to be too mean, but I really, really disliked this game's treatment off women. docseuss.medium.com/okay-heres-t...

"I’m convinced there must be some other game called Planescape: Torment out there, because the game I cleared was one of the most misogynistic wastes of time I’ve ever experienced." kimimithegameeatingshemonster.com/2024/10/08/p...

And now that the game is out, we’re going to throw everyone that made it… into the Torment Nexus! For the shareholders!
unlabelledView post →Since Sacred 2 turned out to be so horribly broken, I started replaying some Halls of Torment to scratch the itch. It’s such a good game. Crossing Vampire Survivors with Diablo is still an inspired choice.

unlabelledView post →Disco Elysium is one of my favorite games of all time, and a work of art that transcends the gaming medium itself. It's time I finally played the narrative RPG that inspired it. A game heavily philosophical and extremely esoteric, which is totally me coded. My next game: Planescape Torment

unlabelledView post →Haha how about a classic game hot take: everybody loves Planescape Torment but the games that really messed with my mindset of how I, the protagonist, am the world's most special cool boy (all protagonists were boys) were FF7 and Monkey Island while honestly Planescape Torment just maximizes that

unlabelledView post →All depends on the feeling the cards illicit, for me it's how messy the card makes the game. I look at it like this: Exsanguinate is strong. Torment of Hailfire is salty.
unlabelledView post →Planescape Torment tops my list: morally ambiguous, darkly comic and memorably weird. The kind of game that seeps into your dreams.
unlabelledView post →Cool! I missed out on pretty much all of them, and borrowing Planescape Torment from a friend told me it was indeed great, but I wasn't ready yet for a game like this. I feel like I am now. I remember the amazing writing and voice-acting at least.

unlabelledView post →Planescape: Torment, what a game. I went with original Baldur's Gate because I played it first, but Torment is definitely the better game.
unlabelledView post →I got to Torment too late for it to be a huge influence but it is an outstanding game and I'm actually running a Planescape campaign right now. The setting is my favorite.
unlabelledView post →So I game that could easily be on here is Planescape Torment. It was a hard choice between this, Tyranny and Disco. Planescape is a spiritual ancestor of Disco of course and its wild imaginativeness resonated perhaps even more with me than Disco. But the game has many problems. Hard to choose.
unlabelledView post →I love love the original Baldurs Gate but I switched it out for Planescape Torment since it was what I played more and the first game my mother ever bought me. ❤️

Too bad I don't have art q_q

unlabelledView post →Planescape Torment...umm... It is a well-written 20 hour adventure game attached to a bad rpg that is *way longer* than it should be. Like, its namesake, there are one-sentence ideas that arent well explored, and needs characters who are more than a cool concept. Honestly? Really disappointing.

unlabelledView post →Right???? Like in a just world that would be the ball game, but not for Torment Nexus country! 🫠🫠🫠
unlabelledView post →Tides was a good game though, as long as you don't compare it to Torment. I say this fully knowing Torment is straight up not a good game despite me liking it quite a lot.
unlabelledView post →Halls of Torment is a neat game. Basically if Vampire Survivors and Diablo 2 had a kid. D2 looks with VS personality. I like that it pares down the weapon selection in favor of class mastery. Deep Rock Galactic Survivor and even VS with rerolls and seals had too big a loot pool; bad wep, run dead.
unlabelledView post →I figure I can farm Torment X to the best of my ability, and drop down to Torment IX to farm lair bosses. I'm happy to see the progress I've made with my rogue this season. I enjoy playing the game, and I'll probably continue even if I reach a point where I can't get much stronger.

unlabelledView post →I have an empty hole in my gaming life after finishing #DiscoElysium All other games feel boring now. If you want another game with a similar structure I'd recommend Tides of Numenera, or the original Torment, although these are more towards silly fantasy fighting games rather than being more Investigation into the Human Condition. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torment:_Tides_of_Numenera #gaming #torment #rpg
