positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →real gamers will remember this game in the 360 days
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is old but i grew up playing this game on xbox and its nice to get that nostalgia , the game is cheap so its nice to play on your free time when its late at night type stuff
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the first games I've played as a kid, game was ahead of it's time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Is EndWar better than (insert strategy title here)? Probably not. Is EndWar revolutionary or did it push the RTT genre forward? Eh, maybe back in '08-'09? Is EndWar unique? Absolutely. Even now nearly 16 years later. And in my mind that alone is worthy of praise. EndWar by Tom Clancy is a sci-fi Real Time Tactical game taking place in the distant future of 2020. Strategic nuclear warfare has been rendered non viable by new anti-ballistics technology and a globe-spanning ECM network. With the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tom Clancy’s EndWar is that game I use to get obsessively into alongside ChromeHounds and other games you just remembered just now because we’re talking about them. Set in an alternate timeline back when Ubisoft was sort of cool, Tom Clancy’s EndWar is an amalgamation of all the plots from other TC games of the time period like Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter and Splinter Cell: Double Agent but everything went wrong and now World War 3 actually happens. In the distant future of 2020, an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A truly unique RTS experience. Also modders have managed to bring the Theater of War back online and it is fully functional. Encourage both new players and those with a strong sense of nostalgia to come back, join the Endwar Revival discord, and get back to the war!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a Tom clancy classic, it's far better then the trash being passed on as he's work right now.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love Tom Clancy. I wish he would make love to me like he did his wife when he made this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First off my 'hours played' is wrong. ive been playing this game since release in '09. probably around 2000 hours across 2 consoles and 3 PCs. my review is simple, buy this game.if you like rts at all buy this game. It is possibly one of the best RTS ever made outside of command and conquer or starcraft. Great factions, amazing tile system for global campaign, high customisation for armies and individual units. Incredibly cinematic. 9.5/10 - would be 10/10 but the graphics are starting to show…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i used to play this game cracked in my old pc when i was a kid now it's really sad that i bought the game but have only 11 hours time play and seeing the warning that says: From 25 January 2024: Multiplayer and online features will no longer be available for this product... this game was a good game and i'm glad i played this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved playing this game back on the PS3 years ago. Kinda strange to play it now in 2024 after what has been going on in the world now though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →so underated. its a shame they gave up on it. Only hope one day modders or ubi get around to giving it some love. There is no game like this and i dont just mean for the voice comands (not gonna lie i dont use them) but the style and the play of it as well as setting. its hard to find a modern/semi modern RTS like this and i cant find one that compares so i always come back to this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To bad they don't make games like this anymore.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this game when it first came out. Still scratches the itch of this 32 year old! Such a shame it hasn't had a remaster or a 2nd game. Shame it doesn't have a controller support option as it was a tad easier on PC but its my only complaint. Simple controls and an enjoyable campaign. 10/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Give us modding rights for custom maps! ^_^ This is still a great game...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fans of real time strategy will appreciate tom clancys endwar. matches can be fast paced or a grueling crawl for territory depending on how you strategize. the game is the only of its kind to have direct voice commands to issue to units. i know the game is very old as i remember playing it upon release way back in 07. the commercial had me awstruck. i hope someday to see a v2 of endwar with even more in depth enhancements and ability to speak at units more progressively. as well as QOL and unit…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good classic RTS that actually requires tactics and counterplay instead of just being the fastest at clicking.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →we need a end war2 why cant we get this this game was so great and first of its kind
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →does anyone still play this ?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →see my play hours? Yeah yeah the game got a lot of things that can be improved. But it's damn well enough for me to have another addiction problem. I am addicted to this. Keep returning to it. Nostalgia and familiarity play a big part in that I'd say.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's sad seeing where the game is now, I played the hell out of it when it first came out and multiplayer was where it was at. I would like to see a remaster for this game but they would ♥♥♥♥ it up, it would also be nice to have the servers back up for multiplayer. I'm giving this game a 9/10 if you love RTS games you'll love this game and to the developers/publisher bring back the servers and give the game some love. this game was ahead of its time and it time to bring this game back to life
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tom Clancy’s EndWar approaches real-time strategy from a noticeably different angle, placing greater emphasis on battlefield command, accessibility, and cinematic presentation than on traditional base construction or resource gathering. Developed by Ubisoft Shanghai and published by Ubisoft, it imagines a near-future global conflict in which the United States, Europe, and Russia become locked in an escalating Third World War. Its military setting provides a convincing backdrop for a strategy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its like a game of chess, straight strategy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried playing this piece of trash again, but its either too easy or impossible, as in higher difficulties the AI has rotten cheats, making them one shot your units if they even come close.... ridiculous unfun chinese garbage.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played this game for countless hours as a kid and this brings back so many memories. It still stands the test of time and is a great modern RTS that was way ahead of its time and never got the appreciation it deserved. Do yourself a favor and buy this game if your a fan of strategy, RTS, modern war, etc. 5 out of 5 stars with lots of replay value.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't think Endwar is a bad game, since it's a RTS game with a creative concept such as using voice to control troops and with a good scenario, but I feel nowadays it's just plain and difficult to enjoy. The story takes to an alternative future where European countries assemble forming a United States of Europe, while Russia expands its military force thanks to petrol. With this, both countries and the U.S.A enter in WW3. A cliché plot, but not to corny. As I said, Ubisoft tried a new…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Truly a game ahead of its time in as others have already pointed out. Why this game faded into obscurity instead of popularity is beyond me? I don't even agree with individuals who claim that it requires a microphone for more enjoyable gameplay, if you can find your away around a mouse and keyboard you'll definitely be able to manage your units quite rapidly. However, just like any game out there, it's not without its flaws. Helicopters not being able to engage enemy units directly beneath…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A classic game I enjoyed quite a bit as a kid. Unfortunately, its voice command system is absolute garbage on modern systems. Success depends heavily on micro, but when I have misrecognized units traveling halfway across the map to achieve an objective a squad already on station could have secured... Endwar becomes a real cluster. It's a total washup whether asking your infantry to move to a transport will mean they embark or just stand there wasting valuable seconds. It also doesn't help…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of the best rts games ever made as far as i'm concerned. The voice commands as a kid were so cool to me and I will never forget those memories on xbox 360 playing this game. It still holds up in my eyes!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i like the rock vs paper vs scissors very simple to understand
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After all these years this game is still the supreme RTS, just sad this game did not get a sequel
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play the russians and spam tanks, play the europeans and spam transports and engineers, play the US and fall asleep because they're boring. The game isn't as good as I remember, and it has a lot of really annoying jank.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Classic game, do not know why they did not follow this up, even without the voice commands there is great potential for a game like this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish there was a middle ground review where I could give half thumbs up and half thumbs down as a review score. The game is a great idea with terrible execution. The rock paper scissors is an interesting dynamic but when you're looking at a representation of real weaponry it feels far too simple. The voice recognition needs an update. I only wish there was a successor to this game because the ideas here are great, but the voice commands are clunky with poor recognition, and no confirmation.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its made by ubisoft ill probably get it removed out off my library before they take it from me first. i really don't like them. fu(k this company.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not the same as it once was. But still fun for what this game still has even if you can only do singleplayer. I played it on the ps3 when multiplayer was still a thing for this and it was amazing. I still think this is a fun game to revisit even just for the nolstalga. Also i can't spell.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unique live strategy game. Use to play it on the 360
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unique and excellent RTS whether you play on console or PC. Good memories of being in the beta. Wish they made a second one this could've become a good series or at least some DLC.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Voice input for unit control is a massive W
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →one of my favorite games of all time is now playable again thanks to the end war revival server!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nostalgia, I remember playing it with a Xbox headset and using voice commands. Sad to hear the multiplayer finally shutoff, this game needs a reboot!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Score: 6.5/10 EndWar is built around a handful of bold ideas, some of which were genuinely forward-thinking for 2008. Unfortunately, many of those ideas either clash with one another or work poorly on PC, resulting in a game that is interesting to engage with, but often frustrating to actually play. Camera and Core Concept The defining feature of EndWar is its camera system, which is glued to individual units rather than providing a traditional top-down RTS view. In theory, this creates a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why is there not a remake PLEASE i want more
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game back when it came out on my PS3 and put god knows how many hours into it, particularly the multiplayer. The overall experience is great and even though multiplayer is no longer available now, I think it's still a lot of fun. Since other people mentioned it: On the voice commands - I like how they implemented those. It does not feel like a gimmick at all to me but more like a useful addition. To give just one example, uplinks are sometimes out of sight (if you don't have a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A glimpse into the past's view of a possible future, told through 2000's era futuristic tech, microwave weapons, and a three-way war that, at the time, seemed to be politically impossible. If you've played World in Conflict, you will find that your gaming skills transfer really easily here, with the rock-paper-scissors approach to combat and the calling in of off-map strikes. Personally, I love the art style and the overall tone of the game. I wish this had gotten the sequel it deserved, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's 2025 and we are so close.....
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hold up as what is basically a voice-controlled military rock-paper-scissors game, fun to pick up and play singleplayer every now and again. Wish they would make a new, modern version of such a game. Also, it's more relevant than ever, nowadays.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the only true-to-life simulator of the 2020-2024 political landscape in Eastern Europe & America edit: seeing the uh, geopolitical landscape of the Western & Eastern countries in 2025.. yeah maybe this review wasn't such a good idea
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I personally enjoyed this game a lot. The formula is that you do missions with a bunch of objectives that you have to destroy, capture, etc. and you deploy a few units to start. Then, over time, you generate CP (Command Points) that you can use to call in more troops to up to your limit of slots. Upon finishing a battle, you are awarded with points that you can then use to upgrade your units in the Barracks between missions. Unfortunately, there is no base building like a more traditional RTS,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hands-down my favorite RTS game of all time. The voice combat system is unmatched by anything else I've seen, but you can still play the game without it. Super fun, engaging story, with a fair amount of difficulty and micromanagement required
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No EASY AI for newbies...... It's a hybrid between an RTS and an FPS........ Actually it's not an RTS (it's a RTT) since there's no base building........ Camera system is probably the biggest difference from other traditional real time games........ Takes some getting used to. Otherwise it's a pretty decent game if you like military stuff.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Trash now? AI just spams units to the point of unplayability :( Why would they ruin this console classic like this?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You control your units with voice commands. Coolest thing ever. Combat is extremely simple to learn, but still extremely fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't understand why people are leaving negative reviews about things like the voice command not working, like its an old game, if you were trying to talk to your hard of hearing grandfather and he was struggling to hear you would you get mad at him??? It's an old game for the love of God. Apart from the voice commands not working (which appears to be the only reason people leave a negative review and saying it isn't fun, just because of that.) It's actually a really fun game, I'm really…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play through review start: 5/1/2025 +Not bad for $2.99 +So far the story is interesting. Looks like some of the story ideas were used for Blacklist. +Voice cast seems fine +Command points +Difficulty +Characters so far +Reinforcements (somewhere) +Main Menu +Settings +/- Voice commands seems like an interesting feature. Though usually not used because the the voice commands are heard wrong or extremely picky. -End War textures have not aged well at all -No encyclopedia on units or background…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this game back in 2010 Afghanistan on a bootleg CD. Loved it. Played it over the years and finally decided to get in on STEAM. Works perfect on Windows 10. I sure do miss Tom Clancy. 10/10. Would love to see more games like this or a sequel. My favorite is the Armored Brigade but I love all the units to each their own. USA! USA! USA!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a good game i liked it alot
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly this is a game that needs to either be remastered or someone take inspiration from. Nowadays there are RTS games that require lots of understanding with logistics. Which is great by all means as it creates a good challenge, but sometimes its good to get something more casual. Something that has a easy to understand unit counter system like the APC>Helicopter>Tanks>APC. A game in which you can turn off your mind and enjoy at the end of a long day.
