60 of 164 · most liked firstTokyo Ghoul is one of the most maddening series to be a fan of simply because: A. The anime adaptation is booty-cheeks and B. This game is also booty-cheeks. I would love to live in a world where Tokyo Ghoul was given the respect it deserves, because the manga is incredible and there's so much good source material to work from, but this game just is not it- in a sentence, it's sloppy, lazy, and boring. First off, the story mode of the game features screenshots directly from the anime- static…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know tokyo ghoul is always disrespected in all forms of media. Was it too hard for them to put effort into this game?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A mediocre but nevertheless entertaining game for in between. You don't need to expect anything "deep" here, but to experience the anime once again in video game form and in short is definitely worth a look Additional Info: Content & Value I completed Tokyo Ghoul:re Call to Exist in 6.5 hours, completing almost 70% of all achievements in the game. For those who want achievements: This game is not that long to get 100% (maybe 10h+~ish?), especially as some of them are kinda grindy and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would actually sell my soul to Satan for ONE good Tokyo Ghoul adaptation. Don't bother with this garbage.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Whether you love anime games or are just a fan of Tokyo Ghoul, you'll probably be disappointed with this game. It's reminiscent of a PS2-era game when it comes to the gameplay mechanics and animations, but actually much worse. Consider the price tag: $59.99. For that price, you don't even get full voice acting! The characters in 95% of the game just mumble a few Japanese words, which is ridiculous. The campaign lasts at most 2 hours. Despite the huge amount of content that could have been…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →normally don't leave reviews but it's insane to me that this has overall positive reviews so i feel obligated to tell you that this game is hard to recommend over alternatives even when discounted. it has repetitive combat with zero combo possibility beyond basic x>y strings, terrible ultimate abilities, and nothing new story-wise, just a washed down version of the anime's events. call to exist is without a doubt one of the worst action games i've ever played and i would only ever recommend it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i think i got this game for 90% off and i still feel scammed gameplay is horrible, extraordinarily simple and repetitive, spam one button to win gameplay is horrible, attacks and movement are unresponsive and unfomfortable gameplay is horrible, camera genuinely schizes out 24/7 and enemies are lobotomites graphics suck too, 25 years out of date story is told through screenshots of the anime, which is literally less than what the mobile game did
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →im so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ autistic i have been obsessed with kaneki ken for 10 years i thought i wouldn't like this game bc it follows the anime, but it has kaneki so i still played it. its actually surprisingly fun. controls can be a lil clunky at first. no kuro/anteiku kaneki so i cry Y_Y anteiku kaneki is my fave if the anime/manga is the main course, then this game would be the dessert. it will make absolutely no sense at all if you aren't already into TG and have read/watched it all. anyway read the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game sucks. You have to play as kaneki in the story mode and you can't even RUN. It's infuriating and made me cry three times. Do not recommend. Do not buy this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I mean it's alright. I'd recommend only for the novelty of the fact it's a Tokyo Ghoul game and that there aren't many of those, and the combat for me at the very least was enjoyable. I definitely understand it's not for everyone, but I had a bit of fun with it. Just don't buy it at full price. It's more worth it on sale than anything else. Also, the multiplayer is pretty much dead.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If anyone buys this game at full price, they are crazy. The whole game is just about combat, the story is too short. I love the anime TokyoGhoul, so I like the game, but unless someone is crazy about it like me, I wouldn't recommend this game...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly there isn't anything great about the game except the fact that we have a game based off of Tokyo Ghoul... The mechanics of the game are just really rough... it is most definitely not worth $60, I bought it on sale and I ended up returning it because as a "hardcore fan" of the manga and the anime also... this didn't curve my appetite for a Tokyo Ghoul game, I expected just a smoother story line considering multiple from the MANGA to the ANIME are given to you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tokyo Ghoul: re [Call to Exist] is a game that isn’t necessarily wrong. It just is. It’s far from a perfect adaptation, and it’s definitely not a AAA experience. The gameplay can become repetitive quickly, as most missions revolve around defeating waves of enemies until completion. The story is presented in a visual novel style format with no traditional cutscenes, which further limits its impact. Despite all these shortcomings, I still believe the game is worth picking up, but only at a very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've put almost 20 hours into this game now and I honestly love it so much. It’s actually become one of my favorite games. I’m a massive fan of Tokyo Ghoul so for me it’s totally worth it just to play as the characters and use their Kagune. I'm still having a blast with it even now. But I have to be real, the game has a lot of problems like everyone says. The graphics look pretty old and it does get repetitive after a while. I can see why people complain about it, but if you love the series…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →in general i dont understand why so much hate i like the game and what has to offer is a very good and worth to play it dont buy it for 50 euros wait do discount
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recommend with a huge caveat. If you're already a Tokyo Ghoul fanatic (like me), then sure, buy this game and enjoy seeing some of your favorite characters in action. Having said that, the game is very simplistic and more than a little repetitive very quickly. If you're not already a fan of the series, I can't imagine you'll get much out of playing this game. Then again, if you simp for Ken Kaneki this might be the game for you. P.S. I more readily recommend the new mobile game Tokyo…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can only recommend this on sale (90%). The game play is meh but the story is Tokyo Ghoul. 5/10 game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →sorry mom im too ghoul for school now (do NOT buy this full price)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ro-ghoul is better than this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If anyone buys this game at full price, they are crazy. The whole game is just about combat, the story is too short. I love the anime TokyoGhoul, so I like the game, but unless someone is crazy about it like me, I wouldn't recommend this game...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you thought nothing can be worse than the anime adaptiation then you're wrong but i absolutely love this i probably just like tokyo ghoul a bit too much
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good for me but I hope Tokyo Ghoul has another game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its uh a game i guess? it's not a good game. it follows root A so ♥♥♥♥ that. only get this game if u want to lose money or you just wanna play a tokyo ghoul game.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →MEH. TG superfan. This game sucks. Not even worth the $6 i got it on sale for.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun hack and slash game. Does a good job of making both sides feel powerful though Investigators do feel a little underwhelming when you can play as a Quinx. Only problems I have is 1. Hardly anyone plays online, 2. Lack of characters to play as. Most of the Ghoul characters are reskins of Kaneki and other characters from Season 1 and RE:. Finally 3rd issue, lack of customisation. Little underwhelming that you can't customise your own character to be a Kakuja or even the colours of your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i love this game some people do say its low quality but its such a fun and amazing game but its just my opinion
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got it on sale and honestly, it's not that bad. It's nothing that will blow you away by any means but im having fun with it. It's not worth the normal price but for around 6 USD, ive gotten my money's worth already. I also should mention, im new to Tokyo Ghoul. I watched the Anime recently after the release of Kaneki in DBD. I thought the anime was fine but i understand many say the Manga is better, which i will read sometime. With that said, the game is more focused on the anime events to my…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is my favorite ps2 game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I dont like it. The gameplay is fast but feels slow, the controls are clunky and feel not suited for a game like this, the story is weirdly different (dont know the anime story so maybe its that) and i think it is wasted potential.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is no where near worth $60 lmao. i bought it and . within 15 min got a refund
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It feels like a lazy cash-in that expects the anime's name to carry the whole package. Boring, Repetitive Combat the controls are floaty and unresponsive. Swinging your Kagune/Quinque lacks any real impact, and you're just spamming the exact same button combos every single fight. Copy-Paste Levels the entire game feels super repetitive. You just walk through bland, linear corridors doing the same "clear the room of enemies" objective over and over again. Dated Graphics it looks like a PS3 game.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has the same issue 99% of anime games have. It's slop. Slapped together in a few months as cheaply as possible to exploit the license for money. Even if anime video game fans grew tastebuds and demanded quality games, all the game companies would simply blame the IP itself and abandon any future projects while taking no accountability. That is the state anime games have been in for over a decade.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really, really bad. Even if you like the anime
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only worth it if you like tokyo ghoul and only if its on sale
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →im insanely erect while i play this
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a game of all time. I was super disappointed to learn that neither Koori Ui or Ihei Hairu weren't playable. Actually others weren't. The gameplay was gameplay for sure. The story is literally the plot of the anime, but without animation lol. I recommend it only if you love Tokyo Ghoul.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the game, it's fun and pretty neat to have as a collector. That being said, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME AT FULL PRICE. I got it on a 90% off sale, no need to spend over $10 for it. Single player is cool, I haven't tried multiplayer yet though so I'll edit my review when I get to that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game is OK at best
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →follows anime storyline, which is notoriously dohgshite
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very epic but old
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tokyo Ghoul: re Call to Exist is a solid game with a concept reminiscent of the Basara series. The blend of fast-paced combat and strategic character abilities is engaging. However, the game could improve its polish and fluidity in certain mechanics. Fans of Tokyo Ghoul and action-packed gameplay will likely find it enjoyable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i like kaneki feet
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As hard as I tried to like this game I can't recommend it. The combat feels clumsy and spamming special moves is so OP that I never even tried to attack with my bare hands. Mowing through hordes of easy enemies was fun for about two seconds before the clunky lock on and pathetically weak enemies made me sigh every time I was forced to fight them. The gameplay loop has potential to be fun but not in it's current state. Charging $75 AUD for this seems like such a cash grab on top of the mediocre…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First bad review im ever leaving but i dont feel BAD because whoever made this game put legit no effort in, no combos or anything just the 3 attacks youre given and a finisher, game plays really boring and you cant lock onto enemies so miss most of your attacks (no its not a skill issue). Not much customization and all characters are locked behind challenges and missions i assume since i dont have any, I wish we could play as like rize and i wish there were more attacks + combos as there isnt…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →worth it if its on sale and if your a big fan of Tokyo Ghoul
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →character model and combat is pretty poorly made, im gonna refund this game and buy it later so i can get terraria tbh. i only like this game cuz tokyo ghoul is my 2nd fav anime/manga
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is actually really good! despite the bad and mixed reviews! it gets harder as you play and it has all of the arcs like half kakuja and black reaper! worth money def buy if your a big tokyo ghoul fan like me!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a tokyo ghoul fan, i absolutely love this game. I'll just play it for fun because playing as Kaneki is my favorite <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun, mutiplayer servers are likely dead, dont buy on full price, wait till 6 bucks, enjoy. better off reading the manga, then playing this game just for a tiny refresher.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game was fun, i played for hours and i almost had everything done but, my computer crashed and when i back went in all progress was lost like all of it i have to start from scratch and do it all again. if you like gaming but keeping your progress then i wouldn't recommend just in case your computer does crash.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tokyo ghoul best anime oat
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really janky bad game dont buy pelase
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed this game a lot. I wish they made more like this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love tokyo ghoul (the manga, the anime) so i've had this game on my wishlist for a while but didn't want to spend 70$+ on it. I got it recently on special at 10$, yet after playing almost an hour, i find the gameplay very clunky, boring, repetitive and just overall not fun. I've made a refund request because i rather have the money back, this is not even worth the 10$ in my eyes. I would only keep it and force myself to finish it, if i had gotten the game for less than 5$...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you really love tokyo ghoul that much, this game is for you. If not then its hard to enjoy this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →buy this game so i can matchmake
