Balto was never a wolfdog in real life and he never had a mate who gave birth to puppies like in the sequels. Also, Togo was the real hero in the story. #history #alaska #films

I'd really recommend it. *There's a statue in Central Park, NY to commemorate it but they used a different dog, Balto, from the sled that finished the run.
