negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game abandoned, following mobile success... Played on mobile first, then bought on Steam, after noticing it has no microtransactions. TL;DR: If you loved the mobile version like I did, be warned! Steam version is sadly neglected. No events, no updates, and bugs that can break the game remain unfixed. The Good Charming art style -- seriously, it's gorjus Relaxing gameplay loop Great music and atmosphere A lot of love went into the original design The Bad No live events anymore. And…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →BUYER BEWARE! Absolutely NO product support. This game has some serious bugs in it, and has had said bugs for years now. Despite multiple updates in the past, the bug that prevents you from collecting all the train cars STILL exists! And don't expect any help from Tiny Titans Studios regarding this matter. They stopped updating this game back in 2022. Want to contact them on their website to submit a bug report? TOUGH LUCK! Their website is also broken and the support email they list on Steam…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game abandoned after mobile success. Mobile version unplayable by the absurd amount of ads and microtransactions.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →EDIT: At the time of editing this I recently booted up my game to give it another chance - all my progress was erased, all of my gold gone. Fancy. I bought Tiny Rails on PC because I was tired of being heckled to pay for stuff in a mobile game, so what I thought I would get is the whole game on PC, but it turns out that the mobile version has more content in it than the PC version. They could easily port the content on the phone over to PC. One of the odd things is that single train sets in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun enough game. Found out after playing all the way through that the devs never bothered to finish the game. - Lots of cars/carriages can't be unlocked - 4 of the last collectable photo locations don't work - Worst of all the story just randomly stops in the middle of a storyline. Save your money/time and avoid this one like I wish I could go back and do.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Used to be a good game, left to rot with all the recent changes being AI generated garbage. get openTTD.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has already stopped updating since 3 years ago, and I was playing it last year when the save broke without any hint. I love this game since I was a middle school student, but it really makes me upset and disappointed. I do not recommend to any potential gamer of this game, as it will surely make you feel disappointed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a port of a mobile game that is shamelessly bad, I have reached near the end of the game and there are many cars i can not get because the game was not programmed correctly to have events or car bundles. The Moblie Version seems to have more support because there are way more cars, Engine & Caboose, and events. SO even though you are paying 10 Dollars for this version of the game it is somehow worse than the original . They have also abandon making updates and supporting this version of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to write this review after progressing enough in the game as in the phone game, but the lack of porting to PC disgusted me so much I'm done with both games. Treat my time and money with respect or go - yourself. Thanks.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is currently a bug that makes it so you can no longer get more train cars after level 20 in the gumball machine. Looks like the devs have known about the bug for a bit now. Until the bug is fixed you'll eventually hit a point in your progression where you can't unlock anything new.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved this game ever since its mobile release. However, the game's been abandoned with tons of game-breaking bugs, one of which halts game progression once you reach a specific point in the story. Do not waste your time or money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →344 hours in save wiped out of nowhere hope i can get my save back but rn its gone, closed the game and restarted my computer and after reopened the game and all my save progress was gone, hope devs working on fix to this
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doesnt get updated, Its a mobile game basically. except there isnt any "P2W" options on the steam version buy it on sale? probably buy it for full price? hell nah,
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great upgrade from the mobile version... if it weren't for the fact I can't have more than one of the same car. I wanted to build a giant train all in one theme, but you only get one of each car and upgrade it that way rather than continuously rolling.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Massive gamebreaking bugs that haven't been fixed in almost a decade
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is no way I can give a game a thumbs up when the store page lies. I got this game on iOS, played it on my iPad a decent amount and really loved it. I was even more excited to see that it was on Steam. I bought it, knowing my iPad data wouldn't be here. No problem I figured I'd start over, since it had steam cloud saves. Started over on my steam deck. One night I logged in to pick up my file on PC. Cloud save does NOT work whatsoever. The store page is lying. I did a google…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game, but for a few years now the game doesn't start anymore and the devs have abandoned this. Do not buy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →100 Train Engines on mobile 57 On PC some extra missing content as well apparently storyline stuff :< please update steam version! i want my WAP4 engine and caboose <3
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game. Its one of the best cosy games I have played, so relaxing. I have really been enjoying finding secrets and playing the game. I REALLY REALLY wish this game was on the Nintendo Switch as it would be amazing to play this in bed its now one of my favourite cosy games. I do play the mobile version however that is more of a pay to play game. I love the PC as its just about accumulating money for upgrade and it does not cost gems to to roll for new train cars and you get the quest ones…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →...ngl this is super boring and like, even as a leave on in the background game, it doesnt seem to scale very well. not super fond that every other review is bashing for the mobile version having much more content.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Port seems broken some cars are unobtainable and I got some random missing interface bugs that forced me to restart the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It does a lot right, I've put probably double the time in to the mobile version as well, it has a certain vibe and game play loop that I love because of how simple it is. It has a focus on building your train and company as opposed to most games where it is building the actual rails. With all that in mind, it is limited but fun for a free mobile game. But for the paid PC version? After your first 50 hours of being simple and having constant progress it very quickly becomes a slog, every…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is broken but works for the most part. Just mostly frustrated that i cant get all the carts from the slot machine
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →if you want non P2W you play this on steam if you want fished game with new stuff being added you play to phone version witch is P2W
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is tiny and it has rails so its a yes
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was fun at first, but the $10 price tag isn't worth it considering the mobile game version is free. I just like playing on my computer more than my phone as I always misclick stuff with my big fingers. Things about this I don't like: You can't buy more train cars once you've got them unlocked. You can't craft more than one car per factory. Gumball usage skyrockets to an unaffordable rate by the time you leave Canada. The textures are highly glitchy with the background scenery and buildings…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The typical incremental clicker 'adventure' with the downplay that most of the time you're just waiting for your train to reach its next station.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game starts off fun enough, but after a day or two there really isn't much to do. Completing the story largely just means pointing your train at a location and waiting to get there. The achievements and train optimization become a slower and slower grind. It's too bad because the art and the basic idea of the game are good. It just becomes less rewarding the more I played
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Old old old game but, it has the chill factor of 1000! Going to different train stations across the world, Customizing your train sets as well, it's pretty awesome!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't buy, Steam version is forsaken
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A different beast from the mobile version, but still enjoyable and overall a better experience without the free to play model in place.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly I can't recommend this game. If you want to play an actual "polished" version, just get the mobile one. This one here had promise, but then it was abandoned by the devs and the publisher. I don't even recommend to get this on sale, as it sometimes erases all your progress just because (happened to me many times before) - how do you think I have so many hours on this game? Just trying to get back to where I had gotten before the game wiped my progress. Just get the mobile one if you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple game that can be left in the background or actively played. It has trains, wacky carriages, a casual storyline and, honestly, that's exactly what I needed from this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandonware that is broken and impossible to 100% Devs clearly have even worse work ethic than i do
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i love this game but there are some problems i didn't get a lot of the cars from the gumball thing. Other than that i think the game is great.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite it looks like an idle game, it isn't a game designed for gamer. It is a game designed for players who can offer attention to check the screen (or mobile) from time to time. Why? Cargo system. There are only 2 ways to manage the train: - Manual Depart. Need to manually approve EVERY stop if nothing worth buying. - Auto Depart. Once you entered the station, you CANNOT make other decision except Market. You MUST pay attention when there is a sound, because you cannot make a U-turn unless…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great casual game for people that love trains. Pros: - Easy to play, cute story to entertain you along the way. - Lots of trains to collect common to rare to event only. - Frequent special events over the weekends. Cons: - Can be a bit of a grind to upgrade stations, cars and general advancement of the story. Overall I would recommend, its a great casual game, the art work is perfect for the theme, game is constantly updated and its easy to pick up right…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Potentially good, really bad that devs abandoned it. Why? Spent 10 buckaroos for an incomplete game, absolute ass
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →found ts on my mums phone when i was 7 best mobile train game 🙏
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- Makes you synchronise Steam Cloud every time you launch it, but does not upload your save (no cloud functionality still cloud wait time) - Impossible to 100% because the only way to obtain new train cars is via gacha machine, but at Level 20 the gacha machine locks and it's impossible to get any more unlocks. This blocked my progress after spending 54 hours progressing this game. - Numerous other softlocks requiring frequent restart, very laggy
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A lovely casual train game with cute retro graphics. Only played this on one PC, so can't say anything about save game issues / Steam support. A lot less demanding than other train games, as you can only manage one train at a time and don't need to lay tracks and manage signal posts. Totally worth the tiny price!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the best train tycoon game in history on mobile and PC I really do wish the 2025 version was on steam if you could do that it would be great! thanks for reading have a nice day!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not sure why this is positively rated, its a cool game but its broken the carts can't be upgraded and the dev has not fixed it and its been years, upgrading carts seems like a large part of the game to not have
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, unfortunately, on Steam this has the same issue as when it was a mobile game. It's charming for a few hours, and then eventually it's just kind of tedious and repetitive. Once it makes it past a certain point, I just can't bring myself to pick it back up. 5/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is good just like the mobile version theres no micro transactions which is nice after buying the game on steam just wish that you can buy cars you already discorverd instead of haveing to roll to the next tire it would be nice to spend ♥♥♥♥♥ to unlock the same cars
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Funny little game to play
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 32 bit app, what year is this? And why is it 64 bit on the Mac Appstore suddenly. Lazy windows game developers.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tiny Rails. It's an idle game where you manage a train traveling around the world
unlabelledView post →My game progress keeps being deleted. Steam has not helped and I am contacting Tiny Titans Studio. If I have to keep restarting the game, I am going to delete it. I love playing it but not over and over and over and over and over. I was so happy to play the Steam version since the mobile version has turned to garbage... but I hate that I lose so much progress and did literally nothing to cause it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →yes train go speed
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it has flaws but its more enjoyable than the mobile version
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this on mobile for a long while before I made the jump to PC and i'll be real with you here. There are a few issues, namely that there is no Vsync and there really needs to be. Lovely pixel art gets torn to shreds by screen tearing. Secondly, the money grind in this *paid* version is ridiculous. You'd watch ads on the mobile version and rack up money like crazy. In this you do tasks and wait a LOT longer that 30 seconds for vastly less money. This is impacted by the increasing costs…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It would be good if it wasn't so glitchy. For a while the game kept crashing and that forced me to start over. Now during weekend events, I suddenly lose all of my progress and can't proceed to get more special engines and cars. I'm tired of having to start over because of lousy programming.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its decent but at some point i gets really repetitive
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The save file is stored in %APPDATA%, which means steam cloud does nothing, since i had to reset my pc, i lost my save file, now i have to start over
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →more updates pls
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is nice but I would recommend adding the workshop for mods to fully customize the game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok so this game is a cash grab. Bought it to avoid the mobile port. My personal reasons: 1) Has not been updated for a while... 2) Trying to 100% this game is impossible for me due to a bug with the gumball machine where it says that I've unlocked a cart when I clearly did not . 3) After looking at the code of the game to try and fix the bug, I've noticed that most of it is copy and pasted from the mobile version. 4) Even if I had not encountered the bug, the game would still be impossible to…
