She did not want to be credited as a solo artist and asked that the band (Coven) be listed on the recording (also in the film credits.) #OneHitWondered
unlabelledView post →With Scott Eastwood, Robert De Niro, Jamie Foxx, Rita Ora and John Leguizamo all involved, Brad Furman's thriller about the take-down of a cult leader, Tin Soldier, should have been a classic. It's not, but it's watchable enough given the star-power involved. 3/5 film-authority.com/2025/09/12/t...

unlabelledView post →#Interestingly Coven’s “One Tin Soldier” was part of the soundtrack for the 1971 American indie film, Billy Jack. The counterculture cult hit about a half-Native ex-Green Beret, played by Tom Laughlin (who also co-wrote & directed), who protects a desert free school. #BillyJack #OneHitWondered

unlabelledView post →But anyway, we kids were huge fans of the movies the song "One Tin Soldier" was used as the theme for: Billy Jack. No one, or very few, actually saw a Billy Jack movie, only ads in the newspaper and maybe local TV, but that didn't stop us from acting out Billy Jack dramas with righteous karate kicks

unlabelledView post →Tin Soldier What are Jamie Foxx and Robert de Niro doing in this movie? Feels like they are wasting the talent on a film that has some good storybeats and ideas but it is ruined by the terrible editing and how it affects the story as a result.
unlabelledView post →I've cried many times watching Movies and TV shows, but the one that to this day stands out was the 1971 movie "Billy Jack". One Tin Soldier". was the theme song. Anyone else remember this movie?
unlabelledView post →One of my favorite songs of all time is from this film. “One Tin Soldier” is as relevant now as ever!!
unlabelledView post →Religious trauma. I was an all in far right Baptist. I heard a sermon that scared the shit outta me in 1978. Satanism, they're coming for us! Billy Jack was written in witch language and the theme "One Tin Soldier" was done by a band named Coven! 50 years on I'm watching the movie tonight.
unlabelledView post →This scene has been living rent-free in my head for the past week that I had to hunt down the entire movie on a shady website so I could isolate it and see if Scott Eastwood talks like that during the whole movie (he doesn't 😟). The movie is Tin Soldier (2025) and it happens at exactly 55min.

unlabelledView post →The baptist church I went to in the late 70s had a hard on over the Billy Jack movie. Said it was all witchcraft and the song One Tin Soldier was written in witch language. These psychos need to be dealt with. They're worse now and control government

unlabelledView post →TIN SOLDIER checks off movie tropes, but it never coheres into a compelling movie despite Jamie Foxx’s fun turn as a cult leader. Also, Mike Patrick @thrillhouse24.bsky.social baptizes Robert De Niro in the wooders of the Schuylkill River.
unlabelledView post →A kind of fun thing to do as a movie blogger might be to go to all three screenings of TIN SOLDIER this weekend - it's playing one of Apple Fresh Pond's 16-seat screens at 1pm Friday/Saturday/Sunday - and talk to everyone who shows up. How'd they hear about it, what did they expect, etc.
unlabelledView post →Watching a film called The Tin Soldier. It's got some serious themes, but I have a few questions. Mainly, why does Jamie Foxx have on this FUCKASS wig and beard combo? How much did these niggas pay Robert De Niro to appear in the film? Was this filmed at Tyler Perry studios? 😂

unlabelledView post →Tin Soldier is a strange film. It’s terrible, but feels like it could’ve worked as mini series. It’s far too overstuffed and for a bad film the solution - for once - would be to make it longer.
