Enjoy! @altitudefilms.bsky.social film-authority.com/2025/01/15/w...

Take Gore Verbinski's The Lone Ranger, a movie that has a really fun and action packed train-based finale set to a kick-ass rendition of William Tell Overture, too bad is at the tail end of such crap film.

This scene in particular is a *chef's kiss* example of ambush, cover, and more. Anyways, just some more #TTRPG thoughts.

unlabelledView post →William Tell I'm starting to think any movie nowadays that's a historical epic is going to beat the same beats over and over again to become a decent but unmemorable flick down the line. The action and acting may try but the writing has been done before and much better elsewhere
unlabelledView post →this will never leave me, watching a film on Netflix, William Tell, it's good not great but an afternoon filler, and Ben Kingsley turns up - I will never be able to forget his turn in the Sopranos when Christopher tried a grift and called him Sir Kingsley..
unlabelledView post →It is. It’s a godawful movie that opens and closed with two of the greatest railroad action fight sequences ever put to film. Like you should just watch the first ten minutes, read a wiki summary of the characters, then start watching it again one the William Tell Overture finally kicks in.

It wasn’t “later known as Top Gun”, the last one was held in 2023 by the USAF. Top Gun is a training program for naval aviators.
