unlabelledView post →Phil Johnston calls it “a strange baby, but it’s ours.” Netflix’s 'The Twits' turns Roald Dahl’s nastiest tale into a dark, hilarious, and oddly heartfelt animated adventure. Check out our director interview and some beautiful-ugly BTS artwork. www.cartoonbrew.com/feature-film...

unlabelledView post →It bothers me that they added kid characters to The Twits movie. The original book was the preview for kids of his adult short stories mostly about horrendous married people with no redeeming characters.

unlabelledView post →This week's Sunday evening movie was The Twits. The animation looks good & it was kinda fun. It's a very loose adaptation of the original book by Roald Dahl.
unlabelledView post →The Netflix take on The Twits is (so far) the nadir of the streamer's Roald Dahl deal. You just can't make a warm fuzzy Illumination-style movie out of The Twits www.avclub.com/the-twits-re...

The Twits premieres TOMORROW Oct 17th on NETFLIX! Job Reveal stream tomorrow at 7:30 PM PST to talk about my adventures!

unlabelledView post →Watching the 'The Twits' movie because I'm curious how they'd adapt the Roald Dahl book for modern sensibilities these days, but i'm stunned that I somehow managed to watch two movies with a character named 'Bubsy' in itin the same day.
unlabelledView post →I was about to yap about a fun movie I just watched with my family until I found out people hated this adaptation (The Twits)🙈 I honestly never heard of this before, so I can't compare it to the books, but I enjoyed it a lot 🤭 The animation style is what got me hooked, I didn't know what to expect😂

This week, the new MPA ratings include the Disney/Pixar film ELIO, Netflix’s Roald Dahl adaptation THE TWITS, A24’s Sundance prize-winner SORRY, BABY, and the Amazon MGM Studios Peter Farrelly comedy BALLS UP. Here's the breakdown: www.whentostream.com/news/weekly-...

unlabelledView post →Kind of funny how years ago, Netflix was going to produce a bunch of animated miniseries based on 17 different Roald Dahl books, and seven years later, the only remnant of that is an awful, borderline in-name-only movie based on The Twits.
unlabelledView post →I’m in the middle of watching that new “The Twits” movie right now, and (while they don’t do what you’re saying exactly) I actually think I do see a little bit of this attitude pushing through in how the titular Twits themselves are portrayed in the movie.
unlabelledView post →I've never read The Twits before, but from the look of the trailer so far, it looks very fittingly chaotic and strange for a Roald Dahl story. I will check out the movie when it comes out to Netflix.

unlabelledView post →I love how the new The Twits movie uses the fact its directed by the same director as Ralph Breaks the Internet as a selling point 😐 You mean one of the worst films in the Disney Animated Canon AND one of the most pointless sequels ever made? 😑 ....not exactly helping people flock to it are you? 😂

Such a fun experience. Hope everyone enjoys the movie as much as we had making it ❤️ #netflix #thetwits #animation

Though I am curious if the How to Train Your Dragon and Lilo & Stitch remakes will get a push since both do qualify for Best Animated Picture under Academy rules.

Again, it didn't exactly have great source material to work with. But...I'd still say it's more of a complete story than the book was. Don't get me wrong: it's a really stupid-
