"Our standing rule is: If one of us brings up using GenAI in any of our work, then it's safe to assume we've been assimilated by The Thing and should be burned alive by Kurt Russell," said a game design consultant in the US.

They only saving grace will be if they do The Thing. If they do The Thing, all complaints will be absolved and it will be game of the decade. Game of the century.

In my next upcoming video (due on October 15th) we're taking a look at "The Trap Door" - a 1986 claymation cartoon (and computer game) starring Berk, Boni the Skull, The Thing Upstairs, and Drutt. Any memories you can share would be appreciated, some of which will be featured in the video.

For those who may have missed it, I have spent a solid hour of my free time putting the TGAA adaptation of esteemed author Natsume Soseki into stills of The Thing (1982). I don't know how this started. I swear this is relevant to game development somehow. #Thegreataceattorney #TGAA

Today I'll also be raffling a key for DISTRUST, a horror-survival game set in the arctic, taking inspiration from the likes of The Thing, Zomboid, and seemingly a sprinkle of STALKER! You can even play it co-op~ Check it out here: store.steampowered.com/app/635200/D...

The new Resident Evil movie hits all the points. Really dark humour with one of the the dumbest protagonists in movie history. Constrained environments, locked escape routes, incremental weapon access so it feels like the game. Like ‘Fargo’ meets ‘The Thing’.
