Ever played a Resident Evil and wished for a game that just took the puzzles and ran with that? That's this game! And it is genius. store.steampowered.com/app/1431850/...
unlabelledView post →23. The Tartarus Key I eventually want to do a video about this, because it fascinates me in that it's not just a puzzle game, it's very specifically survival horror puzzles. Like a Resident Evil mansion sans zombies, and oops all puzzles. A real hidden gem. store.steampowered.com/app/1431850/...
unlabelledView post →13. The Tartarus Key What if you had a Survival Horror game that stripped out the combat, and focused on the puzzles? This keeps the creepy mansion that opens up as you progress, has all the atmosphere of an evil residence, but without the zombies, and full of specifically Survival Horror puzzles.
unlabelledView post →I don’t think cool devs Kevin and Leo are on Bluesky, so I’ll shamelessly promote for them. The Tartarus Key is 45% off! It’s a spooky adventure game with a strong atmosphere and well-crafted puzzles. Take a look! store.steampowered.com/app/1431850/...
unlabelledView post →Hey folks, I've added The Tartarus Key to my curator page. This a terrific horror game that feels like a survival horror stripped down to just the puzzles, an incredibly compelling idea done really well. store.steampowered.com/app/1431850/...
unlabelledView post →As an addendum, another game that felt like a survival horror game but with the just the puzzles was The Tartarus Key, which I would also recommend, and I love that this sorta thing is branching off. Also a very neat game. store.steampowered.com/app/1431850/...
unlabelledView post →ty for coming to stream!! that game was pretty cool actually :3c i'll see y'all again thursday for ANOTHER cool game called The Tartarus Key!!

unlabelledView post →The Tartarus Key is a very underrated horror puzzle game with a fascinating core concept; it's all the kinds of puzzles you'd find in Survival Horror games sans the combat, and it has some wonderfully spooky PS1 style visuals. store.steampowered.com/app/1431850/...
unlabelledView post →I finally got around to playing The Tartarus Key. It was a neat game. @caseyexplosion.bsky.social described it as a survival horror game that's all puzzles and no combat. Which was very accurate! I liked how the puzzles were mostly self-contained with just enough escalating puzzle difficulty.
unlabelledView post →The Tartarus Key is a very enjoyable low-poly 1st person adventure game that takes inspiration from Zero Escape, old-school Resident Evil, and Saw. The puzzles are relatively easy but fun to solve. Good story, fun characters, and great atmosphere. Give it a try! #Blutoid #VideoGames 🎮 #SpookySeason

unlabelledView post →Forgot I had ordered this a while back but The Tartarus Key looked like my kind of game from the minute I heard of it and my copy just arrived from Super Rare Games. Can't wait to dig into this after Persona 3! 😍
unlabelledView post →I still think one of my favorite bug reports I've ever gotten was when I was working on a horror game (The Tartarus Key) and the programmer, Kevin, told me, completely earnest and straight-faced, that the "screen had started bleeding randomly"
unlabelledView post →We're back to compiling our finished games for the year, starting with this low poly escape room game that was a lot more than I expected it to be. These will all be on Backloggd so I can have longer wordcount and alt text easier. backloggd.com/u/detectivek... And so, Game #1: The Tartarus Key

unlabelledView post →2023: The Tartarus Key No combat in this game, but lots of puzzles, a retro PS1 aesthetic, and a cast of bizarre eccentrics. With a conspiracy to unravel and multiple endings, this is a fun, tongue-in-cheek take on escape rooms, haunted mansions and Lovecraftian cosmic horror.
unlabelledView post →Have some horror game screenshots and consider them each glowing recommendations. Mundaun/Paratopic/Dead Island 2/The Tartarus Key (For the record. Tartarus Key is what I'm considering my Game of the Year. Extremely good.)
unlabelledView post →OOooOOo Is that a new retro horror game I see? Looking forward to The Tartarus Key! 🗝️🍷🩸❤️
unlabelledView post →Working on The Tartarus Key with Vertical Reach (Kevin Colegate and Leo Parra!) when the devs told me their horror game, quote, "starts bleeding randomly when it shouldn't", which was a top tier message to open up. The game was indeed "bleeding" copiously all over the screen for no reason.
unlabelledView post →Restarting the Tartarus Key after botching a puzzle and getting someone killed without saving beforehand Good game! Enjoying it so far
unlabelledView post →@julialepetit.bsky.social I’ve got three games I think you’d be into to recommend for your Sunday solo stream: Chicken police (noir detective game with anthros), The Tartarus Key (spooky PS1 style puzzler), and Decarnation (horror-ish walking sim with gorgeous pixel art and themes)
unlabelledView post →Absolutely banger game, if you want another "like Resi but without combat" may I suggest The Tartarus Key
unlabelledView post →Recently played, and highly recommended, indie horror bangers on Steam: An English Haunting, The Excavation of Hob's Barrow, Mouthwashing, The Tartarus Key & Threshold. Some of the most beautiful and incredible work from indie game devs lately!
unlabelledView post →We're back in The Tartarus Key and we are just found ANOTHER person and ANOTHER puzzle! What kind of game is being played here? I guess we'll find out! Hope to see you in the den! #todaysstream #aussievtuber #aussiestreamer #smallstreamer #envtuber
unlabelledView post →Played The Tartarus Key today, neat horror themed puzzle game but did get frustrated with it towards the end. Some of it was me being blind but still annoying to identify the puzzle but not see the one item you need tucked away in a corner. And fuck that meat rack puzzle.
unlabelledView post →Game Recommendation : The Tartarus Key Imagine Resident Evil, but with all the combat removed and replaced with an endless series of puzzles. This is a brilliant adventure game, with a fantastic and very dark story, as well as great well-written characters. store.steampowered.com/app/1431850/...
unlabelledView post →The Tartarus Key (7/10) Neat escape room game.
unlabelledView post →Outer Wilds will always be my number 1 recommendation for not just puzzle/mystery games but any kind of game ever that said also Return of the Obra Dinn, Talos Principle, The Tartarus Key are all also bangers
unlabelledView post →Started my horror game binge late this year, everything is still a bit off-schedule, but slowly getting back on timely track. 1st up is The Tartarus Key by Vertical Reach (/w physical copies by @superraregames.bsky.social). A brilliant and well written escape room / horror title /w PS1 aesthetics.
unlabelledView post →Dead Island is a genuine anomaly in my tastes but it's just more proof you can't account for them. The combat is fun, the characters are incredibly flirty and fun. It caught me off guard. Alternatively, The Tartarus Key is exactly my shit. If Saw was an Eldritch PSX puzzle game.
unlabelledView post →I recently grabbed The Tartarus Key (on Switch, specifically) because of a sale, plus the PS1 style visuals and "horror + classic adventure game" description really caught my attention. Got the "true" ending tonight and... I think I enjoyed this even more than Echo Night 2. And I *LOVED* that game.

unlabelledView post →If I called something a “Safe” Horror Game, what does that make you think of? Because there’s something like The Tartarus Key which is basically an Escape Room where you can’t die. Decimate Drive where you can die but there’s nothing really scary happening...

unlabelledView post →47. The Tartarus Key (2023) An alright mystery game held back by some very lame writing. In horror games, I want at least the player character to act scared and not to crack jokes that never land. Also the escape rooms are just too short and often only have a single puzzle which seems very wasteful.
unlabelledView post →THE TARTARUS KEY an oddly cosy horror adventure game that, while well-written and atmospheric, suffers a bit for its brevity half the cast get no real time to shine before it ends, and some story payoffs feel like afterthoughts promising though, hope the devs' next game is more substantial 7/10
unlabelledView post →The finale.😁 I love this game. Even if you have zero interest in seeing me play it, please go play it yourself. #thetartaruskey youtu.be/nVtO2DWwSmM
unlabelledView post →Second game finished in the last week (Faith still counts, damn it). This time it was The Tartarus Key, which was a fun spooky/creepy puzzle and escape room style game. Not perfect, but there's much more to like about it than to complain about.
unlabelledView post →A very good spooky puzzle game. <3 #thetartaruskey youtu.be/LaAbNPmyutU
unlabelledView post →The Tartarus Key- A neat horror escape room game, not a great plot or anything, but i did like it, it has its lows and highs in puzzles, but it's pretty cool overall
unlabelledView post →Definitely can recommend The Tartarus Key as a game if you like puzzles and a PS1 styled vibe.
