The Rule of Land: Pioneers
Developer Horgee Games
This is a survival game. After the coronation, human beings had to move into the underground. Fifty years later, some people thought the disaster was over and organized a survival competition on the surface. Some brave people took part in the competition . You are one of them. With that being said this game has found a pretty great balance for that so far, and I have to say im kind of in love with it. Their are a ton of things to craft, you make furnaces, camps that other survivors who are friendly will come to and offer help in some way if you take them in, this could be anything from guarding and hunting ground of yours, healing you of illnesses, collecting resources,…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game a while ago, being interested in both survival games and sidescrollers. Unfortunately, it didn't quite feel right and I put it down for a while, hoping the devs would update the game along the way. Fast forward half a year, and it doesn't seem like there were any major updates in terms of making it more fun/appealing. - The day/night cycle is way too fast and not at all in alignment with the necessities such as eating and sleeping. Campfires burn for a long time, even after…

I was worried that having the game play limited to just a few locations would make it repetitive but it actually wasn't. The only thing I disliked was that the HUD wasn't explained very well but it is a brand new game so take it with a grain of salt. Overall I found it to be a medium paced game that was thoroughly enjoyable. I look forward to watching it develop more over time.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fine game for passing your time. But don't expect a major big survival game here. This is like a mobile survival game with very little substance to it. Most game content is also locked behind a playtime wall as well until you unlock other characters & areas. It's a way to attempt to get players to keep playing I guess, but it's not going to work honestly. If you see this on 50% off then give it a go, otherwise don't is my advice.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I found it very shallow. I was expecting far more. What a disappointment.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At it's current price, it's worth it. If you like what you can see from the trailer and description, you will probably get a bunch of hours in this game. You basically do deathmatches with 4 other competitors until they all drop dead from various causes. Malnutrition (lack of protein), scurvy (lack of fruits), diarrhea, dysentery, poisoning can affect your health and mental state, which if they drop to zero, so do you. Lack of water or sleep does it too.) As you finish a match, you unlock a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I spent £8 and received less than what I expected. The game is intriguing in the first 2 hours of gameplay. You need to build your base. Yes- it is 2D, and it seems worse. Chopping wood still takes time during which you sit and watch in the void. You need to upgrade your buildings 10 times to open their features so soon the game becomes a grind for resources. Interesting elements is the N|PC competitors, but this can exite you for around 20 minutes. The game is chinese and some buttons are…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a good game; it may not be for everybody, and it cries out for further development, but it's a fine game as it is. It's not perfect and I can't say that it's a GREAT game. It's a bit of a grind at times, but it's a crafting/survival game and I think it's to be expected that gathering resources and food will be a grind in that sort of game. The art is simple bit surprisingly beautiful, especially during a rainfall. The soundtrack is actually pretty nice, soothing even. It starts off…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8.5/10 love the visual style. has a "this war of mine" vibe meets roguelite. recommended. I wish there was controller support and more customization of the characters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's aight, pretty addictive. needs a light polish, some spelling checking on screen text gets a bit annoying after some time "Press to cancel this operation" "No Bullets" I hate having to press M1 for every action, Mining 40 rock is tedious. loses difficulty fast. I gets very boring after all other survivors are dead. Getting to 200 days is mostly a chore edit: 4-11-2020 I just found the "continues mining" option. the game is much better now. XD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super repetitive, but it's what you expect from a survival game, so it'd be a little asinine to complain about it. I do prefer the side-scrolling to 3D for the genre, mainly because things can't come up behind me and take a bite out of my ass without me expecting it. A little more challenge would be nice, but it's kept me entertained for 10 hours so far, so it has its appeal.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok so the game is fun and something different to mess with but I don't understand how do I get my heart back up when It gets low I keep trying, I heal my self with meds, and I still seem to die everytime I drink fluids and eat the right foods try to keep up with the environment but I still die. Other then that Problem I like the game and will say its worth playing I just want yall to nerf the heart system
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Originally played Jan 14 2022. 2D sidescroller. You are a competitor in a survivalist game. Kill or be killed. The issue for me is there really is no agency or exploration, everything is pre-determined. I am in a forest, but can only get wood from this one chopping block? Why cannot I take the axe with me? This cabinet is locked, I have a gun, why cannot I shoot the lock? Cannot set fire when it is raining? Oh there is a firepit in this abandoned house, oh cannot use that. Nggghhhh
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →New frustration again .. Concentration is done for the first 15 minutes, then in the wind Nothing new and very boring Keep your money I do not recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I can't really explain, but this is a very relaxing game for me. Feeling a sense of survival accomplishment is very rewarding. Don't become too complacent or you will die from hypothermia like I did (I pretty much had the game in the bag and then got distracted!) Anyhow, play this one, you won't regret it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed this game - for several hours in fact. I love survival (non-horror, non-zombies) games, and this is one of those gems where the goal is to survive against the elements. I love that you can build up this little settlement with more npcs joining it - proving sometimes useful services. I hope Devs will add more maps and more variety in playable characters, as well as npcs. So far, not bad.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty simple game to kill time, not bad.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →addicting af for a game that is just Release 3 days ago.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game wasnt what i thought it would be.. and definitly doesent help that the developers left the game it looks like to me.... smh... another game that HAD potential.... HAD.... smh
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yes, but pick it up on sale. It's like... 60% of a game, but all of it is working and it's fun to dabble in its mechanics for a few hours. You'll complete a few runs. By then you realize that your base isn't going to improve any further, the crafting is very limited, and there's just not much reason to have another go. I played 8 hours for EUR 4.5, which is about 50 cents an hour. ;)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent Game. Could do with some polishing and perhaps some more material. But overall worth playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game!! Really fun and addictive. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This would be a good flash game, but not something to buy. Its short. Collect resources, and maybe kill a few people to get their land. Eventually it comes to the point of being to hot or too cold and the near non existent resources catches up to you. There was a lot of things laying around implying a story would be eventually implemented, and nothing has became of it. It is really fun, but short lived and has a lot of frustrating elements to it that haven't been fleshed out. 5/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay, so we have a post-apocalyptic setting where mankind has taken shelter underground because powerful solar storms ravages the surface, but now there's an attempt to see if the surface is liveable enough again in the form of a survival contest, with the player as one of the contestants. So, the player along with the other contestants are put in an area with various territories, one for each contestant, with each of these having their own up and downs that could help or hamper your survival.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is in an ok state for the current price. More Content would have been nice though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's pity , seems like this game already been abandoned.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thou at the moment I only played for 6+ hour, I think it's a nice game. On the game forum, some player said this is abandoned, I don't really think so, I feel like the development speed might be just very very slow, because the developer mentioned that he is a solo developer and it might just take a long while to add content or fix any bug there is/are. So if the price is not too expensive in your eyes, maybe support?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent game! Do yourself a favor: Buy it, play it, love it! The End.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is tons of fun.... I wanted to try it out real quick ended up getting lost in it for hours!
