unlabelledView post →Watching The Meg w/@mzspress. Great example of a movie that knows what it is and commits to being that. It's a derivative 80s/90s summer blockbuster (Jaws + Jurassic Park) but sincere & with lots of likable characters & some genuinely clever setpieces and sight gags. Love the Meg's 1st appearance.
unlabelledView post →What's your favorite corny or cliche movie trope/sub-genre? One that is unapologetically lacking in intellectual depth but you can't get enough of. Mine is Shark v Bikini. I cannot resist a shark movie, though I bailed out of all the Meg sequels. Too dumb even for me
unlabelledView post →last thought of the night: there should be a big movie like The Meg and Meg 2 every single year. I want a gigantic ridiculous film in my favorite category of “Uh Oh That Animal Is Too Big” every single year forever. And Jason Statham has to be there but he can bring new friends every time
unlabelledView post →The Jason Statham shark movie The Meg is one of the great films of all time because this image is how the director ended it followed by a Thai version of Toni Basil’s Hey Mickey
unlabelledView post →Daddario should be getting all the Meg Foster parts. I think if she wanted to play Erika Kirk in the new Ari Aster movie she’d nail it, just add blonde hair extensions, she already has glacial pale blue eyes that can cut glass when she gets mad
unlabelledView post →I’ve been watching too many serious movies lately, forgetting that it’s summer. Now watching a dumb but fun popcorn film. The Meg (2018).
unlabelledView post →When I reviewed the Meg, not only did Indiewire buy tickets for me and 3 friends, but they paid my bar tab because I said I wasn’t gonna see it sober www.indiewire.com/features/gen...
unlabelledView post →We finished watching The Meg last night. It was fine, as expected, a big shark chomping shit & a dude killing it & saving people. I noted that the film had one queer-coded character, a hacker played by the inimitable Ruby Rose. There was no textual evidence; just her haircut & flannel lol

unlabelledView post →Watched The Meg with the wife and kids last night and really it’s the ideal family movie
unlabelledView post →[girl named Megan when The Meg first appears on screen in the film The Meg] that’s me i’m The Meg
unlabelledView post →Watching "The Meg," a 2018 film about a prehistoric shark named Meghan.
unlabelledView post →4th day of the inktober, the theme was murky but I used the french translation of the inktober, and the translation is "trouble" I used this as basis and though of "En eaux troubles" the french title of the movie: The Meg
unlabelledView post →Statham Daytham, movie two(tham): THE MEG 2: THE TRENCH
unlabelledView post →Aww it looked fun but it’s hard to commit to spending at least $30 to see a campy movie. I miss the days of MoviePass when I felt no hesitation in going to see Tomb Raider, the Meg, and Pacific Rim 2 in the same week.
unlabelledView post →The Meg movies are genuinely a fun time. I highly recommend them if you don't need anything super serious in your movie experience.
unlabelledView post →My superpower has become recognizing when something is filmed in Phuket (Ok the stupid movie I just watched TOLD me it was Phuket BUT I WOULD HAVE KNOWN REGARDLESS, the way I did with the Meg 2)
unlabelledView post →This is the strongest movie in the Meg Ryan cheating on her fiance cinematic universe.
unlabelledView post →Trying to explain to Francis Ford Coppola that someone already called a movie The Meg 2
unlabelledView post →Time for horror movie #2 of the day! The next randomly selected horror movie from my list of unwatched horror movies is... The Meg, 2018
unlabelledView post →Char: Hello Lieutenant Challia Bull. Before Proceeding With Your Attack On The Trojan Horse, Would You Care To Join Lalah and Me For A Cinematic Experience? Challia: pardon? Lalah: do you want to watch a movie with us? Challia: Char: Excellent. We Will Now View The Meg 2 (2023)
unlabelledView post →I'm watching The Meg, enjoyed it in theaters, and like I always like a Statham romp but The Meg is a big dumb movie that's unusually good at embracing being big and dumb.
unlabelledView post →Trump Elon Regime can seem as big, voracious and vicious as a megalodon. But if you watch the Meg movie you know that attacking the soft underbelly works. Keep protesting the source of Elon's wealth. Reduce his power. Trump won't like him when he's a loser.
unlabelledView post →I'm still pissed that they named that Jason Statham movie The Meg instead of Jurassic Shark
unlabelledView post →The Meg is back on HBO and if you havent seen it or The Meg II I recommend it. Its not a great movie, but it is a lot of fun.
unlabelledView post →The Meg 2 has some of the most liberal use of green screen of any movie I have ever seen. It's truly unbelievable. I don't even know if Jason Statham is real.
unlabelledView post →my dad is watching the Meg, a utopian film about a US/Chinese cooperation in the struggle against climate change and Australians
unlabelledView post →Idk what kind of hold this film has on me, but I’ll always stop channel surfing for Sleepless in Seattle. I think it’s the Meg Ryan of it all. Sprinkle in a bit of a nostalgia factor because my sister and I used to watch it every New Year. The perfect kind of fluff #TCMParty
unlabelledView post →Bonus points if there is a small child to snark with, him and the kid in the first The Meg movie is hilarious. (Same-kid-but-14 in The Meg 2 and the baby in Fast & Furious also good, but not as good.)
unlabelledView post →Yes, The Meg is a bad movie, but have you considered the Thai Hey Mickey cover from the soundtrack absolutely fucks
unlabelledView post →The best J-Stat movie is whatever J-Stat movie you’re watching. But also the best J-Stat movie is The Meg. Because it’s about J-Stat grappling with his unacknowledged love for a giant shork. Ask @premeemohamed.com she knows.
unlabelledView post →Every character in The Meg is a complete imbecile. But I am grateful for it because it makes this movie so freaking fun. 🍿🎬🦈
unlabelledView post →Watching The Meg again, this time with Emily, my youngest.
unlabelledView post →[girl named Megan when The Meg first appears on screen in the film Meg 2: The Trench] that’s me i’m Meg 2: The Trench
unlabelledView post →Well deserved. It was a great film and it greatly expands on the Kane Pixels lore (which is the superior lore imo - no hate to the MEG/Wiki community I like a lot that comes from there) I left the cinema with so many new questions and answers and can't wait to see what comes next.
unlabelledView post →I just watched the Meg 2: The Trench having never watched the original "The Meg" movie. I can safely say it's one of the stupidest, most over the top and scientifically inaccurate schlockfests I have ever seen. I loved it.
unlabelledView post →#NowWatching The Meg (2018)! 🦈💚 #MovieSky #FilmSky #Tubi
unlabelledView post →I love you Jaws and the Meg but Deep Blue Sea but was the best shark movie of all time!!!!
unlabelledView post →you have bewitched me when I saw your compelling performance in the arthouse film The Meg
unlabelledView post →The Meg 2 A movie so dumb that it wants you to believe that all you have to do to survive a depth of 20,000 feet is clear your sinuses.
unlabelledView post →The Meg 2 is not a good movie, but Jason Statham does say "See you later, chum" after the bad guy is eaten by a shark, which is excellent.
unlabelledView post →The Meg is a dumb ass movie that I sit and watch every time 😂
unlabelledView post →I love this genre (more like *sub* genre, amirite?). I've tracked down a few more, mostly on DVD. But let's be honest, this movie marathon is going to end with The Meg.
unlabelledView post →just remembered the movie The Meg. why do they have to shoot the only known animal in a previously thought extinct species with assault weapons? okay, she's the biggest shark of all time, women can't have hobbies?
unlabelledView post →The Meg was released in the US #onthisday in 2018. Is bigger better or is #JAWS still the greatest shark movie ever?
unlabelledView post →The Meg (2025 Movie Thread, #330), #Horror365Challenge (#247) #filmsky #horrorsky
unlabelledView post →The Meg is a different league. Simultaneously the best movie of all time, and the worst. It’s a head scratcher.
unlabelledView post →Just finished watching The Meg. It was the randomest film I could think to watch on this sleepless night. It was far more entertaining than I thought it would be. I do enjoy Jason Statham.
unlabelledView post →The Meg 2 was a good ass movie
unlabelledView post →Is this from The Meg...? 🤔😉 (Hated that movie, by the way...)
unlabelledView post →I have The Meg on as background while I scroll. I actually really love this movie. Even though every shark movie lies about sharks, I enjoy the genre lol
unlabelledView post →Watching The Meg 2 with the kids and it’s everything you expect and nothing more from an action movie. I appreciate a movie that knows itself.
unlabelledView post →THE MEG 2: DA TRENCH is the dumbest fucking movie Ive seen in a long time. FIVE STARS.
