unlabelledView post →A View To A Kill is the ideal Christmas dad Bond film because the bit where you fall asleep with the Matchmakers on your lap is just some old men pottering round a chateau in car coats. It was directed that way, with a nap in it.
unlabelledView post →Now rewatching, A View to a Kill (1985). Roger Moore’s last turn as Bond, and frankly he should have stopped with Octopussy. Not that he’s bad here, just too old. Other than that I still enjoy this pure 80’s film. Walken, playing and looking basically like, David Bowie, is a good time. Great song.
unlabelledView post →Watched A View to a Kill (not a good Bond movie but a fun Bond movie) and it had a disclaimer at the start that Christopher Walken’s villain, who wants to flood Silicon Valley so he can corner the market on computer chips, is not based on anyone real. 🤔
unlabelledView post →Tanya Roberts had different groups of devoted fans who remembered her for different things: Charlie's Angels, The Beastmaster, Sheena, A View to a Kill, the cult horror film Tourist Trap, her 1990s erotic thrillers or That 70s Show. Here's to remembering her on the 4th anniversary of her passing.
unlabelledView post →Max congrats to Christopher Walken - who played deranged blimp enthusiast Zorin in A VIEW TO A KILL - born on this day in 1943. And PLEASE bear in mind that neither the name 'Zorin' nor any other name or character in this film is meant to portray a real company or actual person.
unlabelledView post →A View to A Kill (1985) might be the only bond movie where 90% of the humor comes from the villains grace jones (looking out of an airship cockpit at san francisco): Wow! ... What a view. christopher walken (breathily, toothily): To a KILL.
unlabelledView post →Roger Moore's final Bond film A VIEW TO A KILL has a bad reputation but in hindsight Christopher Walken’s plan to destroy Silicon Valley with floods and earthquakes now looks eerily forward-thinking

They're both awesome, and we also had a damn great time talking about all of the reasons why we love Grace Jones.

unlabelledView post →That's how my top 5 goes, too! BUT THE REAL FUN'S IN FIGURING THE 3 WORST BOND SONGS "Die Another Day." Easily the worst, just as awful as Shirley Bassey's work is god-tier. "Another Way to Die," Quantum of Solace. A jarring mess. "A View to a Kill." Better fitting for a Friday the 13th movie?
unlabelledView post →Do you have any pet movie peeves? Irrational things that irk you because it's just 'wrong'? e.g. In 'A View to a Kill', Roger Moore nicks a French taxi. The driver (French - outrageous accent) starts going after him shouting "My car!, My car!" when he should be shouting "ma voiture!, ma voiture!"
unlabelledView post →The first Bond movie I was aware of when it hit the theaters was "For Your Eyes Only." As a kid I found it boring even if I later appreciated that it's a totally cromulent entry in the series. I LOVED "A View to a Kill" as a 12 year-old, though and still have a soft spot for the sillier Bond films.

As a fan of both Bond and Duran Duran, it just doesn’t doesn’t get any better.

unlabelledView post →Mine include Lou Grant, Data Run, The Fame Game, What The Papers Say and the A View To A Kill video. Not the film, the theme song video. I also once saw two kids 'playing' The Two Ronnies, which seemed to mainly involve them saying "I go 'DA-DAAA', and you go 'deedle oodleeedleoodle'".'".

unlabelledView post →What is the worst bond movie with the best theme song? In other words, what is the biggest gulf between the greatness of the song and the mediocreness of the movie? For me, it’s “A View To A Kill”
