negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reviewing the current version 1.2 which is a huge step up from the release 1.0 which was a buggy mess of crashes and unplayable behavour. This is no longer the case. For anyone who's played RPGs in the last 10 years. This is like if Pyranha Bytes did their Souls-like. It feels a lot like Elex, it plays a bit like Steelrising... It's just that classic European indie action RPG with all its pros and faults. It's playable and you can become quite OP later. There are different builds, different…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Half a year from 2nd patch and still no 3rd patch, still no manual save, still a LOT of bugs: - Character and skill panel is mostly broken, displaying wrong numbers, especially when leveling up at terminals. Missing tool-tips for items on character screen. Sometimes weapons are not showing at all (at leveling screen). - Upgrading at terminals happily goes into negative numbers = upgrading equipment is free. - Same weapons listed for different price on vendor and AFTER you buy you see that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No manual saves on an open world rpg is a horrible design.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a strange RPG game. Imagine original Gothic with better combat, but everything else absolutely extremely terribly bad. Things just happen in this game. There is no direction, no structure. Quests are strangely done. Most of the time you don't know where to go, where to find something. You just wander around until something finally happens. The story is very segmented, you can miss something and stuff just happens without your input. It's so strange. Yes, choices matter here, but if you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Easily one of the best B-tier souls-likes out there. And I played a lot of them. Hilarious and totally busted in co-op.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This Czech storydriven soulslike has been in development for about 8 years by a tiny (like 10 people?) team, I always thought it was insane what they were doing, this is never gonna come out! But then they got the backing of Deep Silver, which let them expand the team a bit and actually ship the game. IIRC the final budget was around 4 million euros. I saw some interviews with the lead developer over the years, always fun. Then the demo came out, I tried it and found it disastrous. Then the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ah yes, I always wanted a soulslike where you play as a reddit mod. Also, the map design was horrible. I spent more time wandering around lost than actually progressing.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You might expect the usual for negative reviews "cool ideas, bad execution" spiel, but it's worse. The failure lies in design. Not to say that it's a good product from a technical standpoint otherwise - not really, it's not as optimized as it should be, the animations are a bit choppy (which is kind of a red flag for a soulslike), and there are quite a few bugs. So, why do I say it's a design fail? Okay, sure. The lore of the game which you get from dialogues doesn't connect with the game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great Fun RPG 8.5/10 Do you enjoy Eurojank RPG, games like ELEX, Two Worlds, Risen, Gothic, Vendetta ? I do , Get this too then , Really fun game, with 3 different Factions, leading to 3 different playthroughs. Expect Jankiness, Embrace the Jankiness. Its not hard even on dark difficulty, once you have levelled up a bit. Super Fun, Highly reccomended
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like Gothic, Risen or Elex, you're gonna love this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If this had been open world, we'd be looking at a clowny piranha bytes studio on the rise. Like a lot of PB's games, if I rated the components of the game, it would sound like I was talking about a piece of crap. Then it adds up to solid gold.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not accessible. Story progresses too fast and locks you out of things with no way to reload a save prior to that point. So I make a mistake choice wise and you have the developers 'punishing' you for it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was gifted to me for my birthday. My birthday is ruined.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Grab your co-op buddy and definitely give this a go, the most unexpected Co-Op Game Of The Year for me, absolutely unbelievably hilarious Eurojank RPG with dialogue, mechanics (and some minor bugs) that will make you laugh like a madman while staying complex and unforgettable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was actually enjoying this mostly based on the armor sets and stuff I would find, cause I love customization. The upgrade system is kinda garbage. Its resource intensive for VERY MINIMAL benefits where it doesn't even seem remotely worth the hassle. My BIGGEST gripe with it is when enemies hit you, it drains your stamina. And a lot of enemies can hit you once and it takes ALL of your stamina out. Leaving you stun-locked and totally helpless. The dialogue isn't interesting at all but I can…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played through this game in full campaign co-op with a buddy of mine. We spent a good chunk of our first session really trying to invest in what the game had to offer, after all, there's a lot of effort that went into making this game so why not let the game speak for itself. It's there where I realize that we've asked for too much. The Last Oricru is a stumbling, bumbling, prat fall of a game that feels as clumsy to play as it's main character is at navigating the world he's found himself…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Have you ever played a game so bad that its good? This isn't quite that. It has all the vibes of a so bad its good B movie, but everything considered its actually pretty okay. It may not be as fine tuned as some of its more popular competitors, but I have laughed harder at this game, and the jank that it is, than I have with any other souls like. Also something incredibly interesting is that your decisions do actually matter. I played this with a coop partner and we are swapping between…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring dialogue and another soulslike that should have been action hack and slash instead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Semi good graphic - wouldn't say its good, very poor movement system... and fighting which is appalling, game is made in such a haste ...and some things are just made by lazy people... apart of doing main story - you feel like playing constantly in box, no open spaces, no abilities ... no depth to the game at all, you feel like game chocking it self, no friendship with character just do it and thats all...thats your job... So first things first game need : - fighting system update to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is far less horrible than expected and doesn't deserve the mixed reviews I'm seeing here. The protagonist is an incompetently annoying and brainless ♥♥♥♥ surrounded by people who have noticed just that. He is the kind of character who gets threatened to be killed by an NPC if he speaks another word, answering with "I'm as silent as a grave." and doubling down on that with "I have some question though, can you explain x,y,z for me, please." This guy does not deserve his intelligence…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you’re ready to overlook some bugs in favor of originality, you’ll have a great time here. First of all anyone going into this game expecting a smooth, bug-free ride will be disappointed. If polish is your top priority, then better skip this one and don’t trash the game afterwards. This is a Euro AA RPG the setting alone makes it stand out: a unique sci-fi fantasy world. That’s where the first big praise goes. That being said, like most Euro RPGs, it does come with a bit of jank. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ok... I do not recommend. Ugly graphics (ultra settings), save mechanism is badly designed, same for character levelling system, what else... ...mistakes in the quests path logic example: you have one first aid kit, but during first mission you can help to one group, 3 quests later you can say that "sorry guys, I have changed my mind, I will help your enemies". So they say only "we have respect for you, ok". When going to another group they say:"uhmm ok we want you, but first heal us with some…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid Eurojank RPG - 6.5/10 The story kicks off with some promise: sci-fi medieval mashup, branching choices, ... . But the dialog and writing tank it hard. It’s abysmal, drenched in that Netflix millennial cringe: stilted, cheesy, and trying way too hard to be edgy. Every character’s a dud as a result, and by the end of the game, I was rooting for them all to die (good news: you can make that happen, and it’s mildly satisfying). Combat is pure jank, hovering around Gothic 2 levels of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was really enjoying this game then came the half hinged programming and bugs. I'm playing co op and my friend can't even move in the city level because every 5 seconds they get hit with a big that lags the hell out of them, making moving forward in co-op impossible. I really wanted to like this game- it's sort of like dark souls meets Gothic and I liked that idea, that said the game breaking bugs makes it impossible to play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Last Oricru is a good game, and I'm happy to have stumbled upon it. - The graphics are fine, sometimes even beautiful (HDR retrofit recommended). - The story is really good, and since choices matter, you will see a few twists. - The gameplay is alright; the combat serves a purpose but isn't the best. - It's not perfectly polished, but it's still pretty good. - The progression is pretty linear; I don't understand how people could get lost or confused. - Different choices make for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is designed to force you to commit to choices as there is no save/reload feature. The developers have said this is intended, but it makes things annoying as some fights or stealth you don't get a second attempt on and will be forced to move on with the story and miss the loot for winning. The only option for save/reload is to make backups of the save file and overwrite it when something you don't want to happen does. The game is still new, there are still bugs being fixed, so don't…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was an interesting journey. To say the least, a funny one. Dialogues are outright hilarious and our beloved hero, Silver, is really a prick, but if in your head you can overcome the fact that it wont get so dark and gloomy and nowhere near as monstrous as your usual soulslike game, then you will enjoy it. And you get lots of popcultural jokes too. Mostly good ones. Ok, this is a game looks like a souls like, but it's not a soulslike. It's a parody of a soulslike. Not quite hard in fights,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a fan of Ghothic and Soulslike series I really enjoyed this game. (except Silvers sense of humor) :D The concept of the RPG without manual save makes every gameplay unique. The story is variable what makes game replayable. There were few non-critical glitches, but it does not spoil the overall fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So, yeah, this is a, um, game. This is a janky mess. I played it with my wife. she was the host and I the guest. So she has story progression, can talk to npcs, and interact with story items. Meanwhile I was along for the ride. As such, I was a blue hologram. Interesting choice, but I got used to it. After about an hour, however, my audio cut out completely. There was absolutely no way to get it back. I tried. Luckily I played in the same room as my wife so I could just listen to hers.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was fun in the beginning but started to become a snowball going downhill at rapid speed destroying itself, exploring places will punish you HARD and activate cutscreens that forces dev. choice on you and not YOUR choices. In the end fighting AIDA trying to dodge the cranes was impossible even if i used dodge in the last second the crane still got me making this the most worthless game i ever played... Good thing i found it for 1.99€ because it's not worth 0.01€.. I love AA games like…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →eurojank rpg with soulslike mechanics, mediocre combat, bad boss fights, and very enjoyable dialogue, voice acting, and story. i was quite surprised by how much i ended up getting invested into the inter-faction drama and the colorful characters involved. it was a breath of fresh air after suffering through starfield's characters staring dead eyed into the camera spouting endless trite moralisms. the environments were cool, lots of secrets to find and some really fun vistas to stare at, big…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good AA souls-like, story rich RPG. It is what you'd call an "eurojank" but it certainly has its charm. Also, it's full of great humor and the writing is good. Moreover, the game is decently short (around 10 hours), but with real choice and consequences, meaning there are easily 4 unique and worth-playing playthroughs. This format is honestly a breath of fresh air and I was enjoying all of it unlike the long RPGs where sooner or later, the fatigue sets in.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this co-op with my wife and was fun. Scratches the souls-like itch. Devs should be applauded for including split screen co-op and cooking up a lot of interesting ideas. But damn, the combat is pretty clunky and bad, and probably the worst bosses ever. Balance is awful, my wife used the lightning beam spell since the start of the game and it just melted every boss and cost almost no mana. Seriously, every boss in the game we killed in less than 20 seconds. Was there no testing done on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is jank and the story and dialogue are cheesy, but that makes it more fun and memorable. However, trying to play multiplayer has resulted in various bugs and desync issues that are not just a hassle, but in many instances prevent progression, which can be very frustrating. If you are playing single player, or local co-op you might not run into most of these bugs, but if youre planning to play online I cannot recommend getting the game,
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone who tries to get all achievements in games these days, I can't recommend this. Gameplay is solid (Souls like) dialog is kk, there is a lot of it, the problem is the saving. It has auto save, hard save and exit to save. Since this game is heavily effected by the choices you make, a lot of quest are going to be failed just because of a decision. Now I don't believe in being a save scum but when a game has auto save, most of them leave at least 3 auto saves you can load from just in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game caught me by surprise. i was expecting it to be a lotttt worse based off of the reviews. now is it perfect? no, there are a few minor bugs here and there but the game ran great, the choice based implementation was nice for this type of game and it tied in with a nice story, as well as some funny/snarky dialogue moments for laughs, the combat had it's flaws but i honestly was more skeptical of it watching the trailers then playing it. the combat felt better in game vs what i actually…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've looked at this one for years but never bought it due to the reviews and the "souls like" description placed on it in many reviews. I HATE souls like but I love RPGs. So when this went on sale for less than $5 I finally added it to my collection. ---VERDICT--- Not recommended unless it's on a super sale. ---THE VERY, VERY ODD--- Imagine, if you will, if Krusty the clown voiced Geralt of Rivia in the Witcher. That is what is going on here with Silver the protagonist. It is so absurd…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a hidden gem. Very good action adventure RPG game. Like Gothic or Elex but well made with choises that can change the story. I need a second part. Recomend to all rpg lover.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not sure if its end boss or not, but the boss in the temple of unholy abomination has to be one of the weirdest and most stup*dest boss level designs I have ever played out of the 25 years I've been gaming. The design in the boss fight is just flat out stup*d and you waste more time then anything. The boss runs to the middle of the area where if you go there you get instant killed if not you sure do in the next hit, The boss never runs out of the middle while Resurrecting his minions…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A little rough around the edges but even at $20 it was good value. Just as good as some games costing $60. Will be keeping an eye out for more games from this developer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game wasnt perfect when it came out but I got it because it had local co-op. In this day that is so hard to find. My partner and I had fun playing it split screen. We got to fight, level, made story choices that matter. The combat felt fine to us, I am sure the things that we found to be "clunky" are buffed out by now. If you want to play a split screen RPG, I think this game might scratch an itch for us older guys and was generally fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Last Oricru tried to balance its design between in-depth narratives of CRPG and Souls-like heavy action. On top of that, a world that is a mixture of myth, science and magic is also compelling. However, it becomes frustrating when you realize the shortcomings of Souls-like (no maps, no explanation) and the element of CRPG that every action affect the ending does not make a good synergy. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3616628582
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Last Oricru – Final Cut is an ambitious, narrative-driven action RPG that blends medieval fantasy and science fiction into a single, turbulent world where politics, violence, and personal morality collide. Developed by GoldKnights and published by Prime Matter, it follows the journey of Silver, a stranded human whose mysterious belt prevents him from truly dying. This immortality immediately places him at the center of a conflict between oppressed natives, authoritarian overlords, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think if you’re a fan of piranha bytes games and also someone who likes “so bad it’s good” movies you’ll have fun with this game. So, definitely not for everyone, especially most “soulslike” fans, but it can be really fun for the right crowd.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was an experience.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Underrated gem (or hidden even). This is Detroit become human the soulslike. The game is deep as hell and will makes you regret every of your decisions. I started once, drop it at 3rd location to start a new path, I regret it mid game. It has great story and it hit hard. Replayability on the roof. Now let's address the elephant in the room, protagonist voice. The writing is full of humor imho and men the protagonist looks and sounds like Adam Saddler. Yes it makes no sense, but think of a guy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best way to describe how good this game is : Alpha Protocol in a sci-fi fantasy settings. Meaning okay combat and general gameplay, but a really good story / dialogues and lore, with great replay value because of the numbers of meaningful choices you can make that can really alter how the story unfolds, and... ho ! the level design is often really beautiful !

unlabelledView post →Its a very interesting experience. The combat is very unpolished and kinda janky, the story allows for choices to be made but they all seem to put you in a slightly different flavor of the same linear plot. Im sure theres different endings as Ive only seen the one on a youtube video. It had a really cool idea with taking different sides and couldve been done way better with more defined effects of the choices playing out.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a really great game, its Soulsbourne meets Gothic in a cheap and cheerful way The level designs at the end are really good, From Software would be proud of them The start is a bit slow but get past that, the later levels are just great.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Peak eurojank, especially fun with a friend. The story can be kinda bonkers and it's a huge plus that everything is voice acted.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has the most sick good jokes when you don't expect it 🤣 Also , lots of weapons choices and many choices on how you want the game story to progress . Betraying the quest giver is totally an option .
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got all the way to the end and successfully broke my best friend's sanity. 11/10 game if you play with a friend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Janky. Low fps. Bad combat mechanics, at least using the great swords: who stunlocks the opponent first, wins. That said, I recommend this game to fans of Gothic. The story progression is very diverse, I anticipated three main branches at least, with some minor altenatives in each branch. So, there are not only "three different endings", there are more than three diverse story progressions you can have. Same goes with build variety, different weapon types allow for different play styles. But…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game sure is janky and makes it really hard to like the main character. As a souls-like wannabe, it lacks polish and combat variety and the bosses are easy and far from memorable. Items and upgrades are decent but only start to have any meaningful impact halfway through the game. So why the thumbs up? Despite all it's flaws, if you give it enough time the story starts to get more and more intriguing and every decision we take affects not only the end but all the storytelling, game…
