I have played about 40 hours and decide to write a review. This is a relatively weak Aldorlea game, and is actually at the borderline of recommend / not recommend. If I can give percentages in steam, I will give it 51%, but I put recommend in this game. Let me explain some of the good and bad things about this game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a game that attempts to turn some RPG conventions on their head. Its cast of heroes are written such that none of them seem particularly competent, nor do they actually care about what they're doing. How appropriate it is, then, that those bumbling, lazy heroes can be trapped forever in any doorway that has a door-opening animation. I have a very low bar that I hold RPG Maker games to: I just don't like bugs. Especially ones that can occur rather frequently, without warning, and cause…

I won't spoil it, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to beat that person.....you made me go through 3 very hard battles only to take me to THIS?! *SPOILERS UNDERNEATH* YOU CANT BEAT FRANK.......NO INSTRUCTIONS........IMPOSSIBLE I cant get back to town to King Arthur to get help or have any other ideas. You basically just spit in players faces with that end. thanks a lot

Difficult Achievement(s): No. Intro The King's Heroes is a turn-based RPG Maker game that is focused on dungeon delving. You need to make up a party of four with no other explanation except their class name to finish the game. It offers a lot of freedom, allowing you to tackle most dungeons in any order that you want. Pros: - A lot of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was not going to leave a review as the gameplay was just "OK", until I realized if you make the party leader a girl it turns the "Oh my love" with the princess into "Oh my dear best friend in the world" nah go the full mile don't chicken out for half the cast smh
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I made the mistake of buying this off humble bundle cuz it was really really cheap at the time. I say mistake, because i can't get a refund. Its a poorly balanced game that first thing locks you into characters that you don't know what their strengths or weaknesses are. The starter characters are also not well rounded, with a number of them being obviously stronger than others. Even playing on easy mode, its possible to nearly face teamwipes in the first mission, because again, you don't get…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this on normal mode I like it but it does have some faults. It reminds me a lot of the original final fantasy with the ability to choose class layout before starting. But ultimately, I think if you don't choose a certain class, you might struggle to survive until someone learns a skill that will enable you to pass through with ease. I apparently chose a good party layout on my first try, having a rogue, a healer, a monk that can act as a secondary healer, and the best character, money…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an interesting game. You begin as a king needing to ask his friends to help find and rescue his daughter. You choose four out of eight of your friends to go on this task. (The thumbnail covergirl is the rogue.) One of the four chosen will have been around at the time of the abduction, but since it involved magic, can remember rather little. It has promise, and appears to be an experiment of sorts for Aldorlea. Take that as you will...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like this game starting out. it had a fun story and lots of places to explore. My problem with the game is the fighting system. Enemies are way over powered even on easy mode. Way to to many one hit kills that wipe out the entire team, If the game was balanced it would be great. sad
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maybe did it in 25hours?? It starts as a cliché dim-witted princess who has eyes for her bodyguard. Frank (the leader and bodyguard for me) is a pretty and suspicious guy who’s passive at the princess disappearance! [spoiler ] We’ll understand we’re taken for fools by our king during our trip listening to 2 chiefs. The culprit isn’t the cult having the pearl of chaos. The artwork of characters is stunning (apart from unreal huge boobs). I love Mona the rogue and the witch, the Archer reminds…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →RPG Maker strikes again! The King's Heroes is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. This time Andorlea/Warfare/SimProse/whatever…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, it's a quite stupid game. You can even find a visual glitch while buying equipment at the store, I mean, the moron that's supposed to be the some sort of wandering armorer. The enemies and the battle backgrounds look terribly childish, totally cartoonish. Monster drops are useless most of the time. And I'm glad I've chosen the easy mode, it'd not be worth to keep fighting those idiots for lame rewards. It's been a terrible experience from the very beginning. Plus the king is a moron…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is actually a quality product. Care, effort, and humour have gone into making this game. No bugs or flaws encountered and the art is good. Also had some nice features and ideas to make it stand out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →boring and repetitive
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not unlike Millennium series (often on sale), this is a solid RPG at a low price. Character art: good and some higher def. Music: good and not same as Millennium or RPGMaker. Story: good opening so far. Dungeons: (like Millennium) long dungeons but not hopelessly lost. Combat: well balanced combat is not easy. You may have to go back to town or load saves. "it actually works" It's a good solid choice on sale. It's not a perfect game. As to Aldorea games this is a newer…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The King's Heroes is a traditional fantasy RPG developed and published by Aldorlea Games that proudly wears its retro influences on its sleeve. Built for players who grew up with classic role-playing adventures, the game focuses less on flashy presentation and more on delivering a lengthy campaign filled with exploration, tactical combat, and extensive party customization. Its central premise revolves around recovering nine legendary rings scattered throughout a dangerous world, but the real…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very good old style rpg that focuses on dungeon exploration/adventuring. There are 8 characters with 3 variations on each one, and there are 6 levels of difficulty to choose from so lots of replay value here. As with virtually all of Aldorlea's games, there is a lot to see and do in terms of investigating the surroundings and is all backed up with a decent story. Yes, it's about a princess gone missing but with 9+ dungeons to clear that's a minor point as the well laid out and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is a lot of replayability because of the 8 characters you can choose 4, but each of the 8 has 3 variations with different skills and spells. So you could say that there are 24 different heroes to use. I particularly appreciated that you can save any time and there are no timers of any kind. I enjoyed the game very much up to the final tower. Killed every enemy I had access to but there was no way to go to any more levels. After rattling around the tower till I was sick of the layout…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's a nice chill game, i like the storytelling, it is obviously not the best in the world but i liked how they leaned into the silliness like the kings army being butt hurt about the heros. not too big on combat, even on easy mode. i could see my self beating it just to see where the story goes.
