The Island
In 2019, Lincoln Six-Echo is a resident of a seemingly "Utopian" but contained facility. Like all of the inhabitants of this carefully-controlled environment, Lincoln hopes to be chosen to go to The Island — reportedly the last uncontaminated location on the planet. But Lincoln soon discovers that everything about his existence is a lie. From TMDB

unlabelledView post →Is it just me or is there always a movie called THE ISLAND that has just been released in the last few years or is about to be released? Have I reached that age where the cycle of history has lapped me so many times it just seems like one constant drone now? Coming soon: THE ISLAND. A different one.

unlabelledView post →So the ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU, the infamous 1996 remake of the classic film, is apparently on heavy rotation on Roku streaming this month. What a train wreck! A decrepit Marlon Brando in his final starring role. Val Kilmer was completely insane, on and off screen. It's so bad it's fascinating!

unlabelledView post →Books to film 📚=🎞️ The Island of Dr Moreau (1886) by H.G. Wells and adapted to film in 1932, 1977 & 1996. The novel explores unchecked technology, religious hypocrisy, & man's place in nature. The films focus more on the strengths of the visual with monster movie jump scares. 🧌🧪🙀 #filmsky #booksky
