The Inner World - The Last Wind Monk
Developer Studio Fizbin
The flute nose dynasty has been watching over Asposia for centuries on end. In secret, they fill the roly-poly world with light and life. Emil, a trader for odds and ends, has led all the Asposians astray, making them believe that the dynasty is in cahoots with dark forces. From the Steam store page

60 of 194 · most liked firstThe Inner World - The Last Wind Monk is a fantastic point & click adventure game. I recommend this game to anyone who likes p&c adventure games, although I do need to point out the following three caveats: 1. This is a family-friendly game set in a charming fantasy world. If you're looking for gritty or mature content, this is not the game for you. 2. This is not a very difficult game. If you're looking for an excruciatingly difficult p&c adventure game the likes of 1990s Sierra games, this is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After a good title, that was The Inner World, The Last Wind Monk is nothing short of a disappointment. Puzzles aside, most of them is on the original's level of easy/obscure (e.g. building a little boat to catch a fly that's within your arms' reach, you've heard that right). Serviceable enough. The writing, however, is inexcusable. Original characters are terribly re-written and participate in an artificially provoked and nonsensically resolved story that doesn't even tell anything new - the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mixed. A sequel to, and another, average point and click. Several crashes when adjusting the graphics options, randomly in game, and when choosing "back to menu." The latter two result in the process continuing to run. I switched to Proton so I could actually play through. Visuals and movement speed are much improved. The puzzles are once again convoluted. The story is an interesting continuation, with significant parallels to 1930s Germany. Additional Details…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a point-and-click adventure with a unique world and captivating story. This sequel takes things up a notch, boasting even more cuteness, an expanded storyline, the signature humor fans adore, and engaging puzzles.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall the game is good. It has a decent story, nice visuals, wonderful voice acting, at times amazing music and a big variety of puzzles. The gameplay is fluid, without bugs and doesn't feel slow at any part of the game. It has an efficient hint system and runs great on the Steam Deck ( you gonna work mostly with the trackpads and R2 ). Overall, it is a nice not too easy not too difficult game to pass some time with, while enjoying a steady pace and cozy feeling throughout its whole duration.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is totally not the first part of "The Inner World", it is much-much worse! Some extremely stupid puzzles, but the most aweful part is really bad main herroes. They changed them so much so it is not our "friends" from the 1st game anymore. The story is so boring and bad!.. The only thing I liked here is only a few dialogs. The rest of them are bad as a whole story. I would recommend to skip this game if you really like the first one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For my point blank review look past the line. Below is more of a rant. I've played the game and sadly it left a bitter taste in my mouth, went through the reviews and wanted to read the negative ones to understand why. TBH i agree with them 100% the game feels rushed and also feels like its just trying to be what the first one was. If anything i suggest play the first then if you care about the story convince your self this game isn't cannon. The puzzles were unbelievably stupid to the point…

The Inner World - The Last Wind Monk is a Point & Click adventure game. It’s the sequel to The Inner World. It would be preferable to play the first game first, but not necessary. The Last Wind Monk starts three years after the the first game has ended. Many people in the world of Asposia are followers of the evil Conroy. You follow Robert,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game could be my new definition of a middle-of-the-road kind of game. The original didn't wow me, and I was expecting this to be an improvement over the last one; however, I have to say that it wasn't. I feel this one is worse than the original in many respects (characters behaving oddly, rehashed story), exactly the same in others that were ok (soundtrack, voice acting, a few good characters), and maybe better in one aspect (the only real change in gameplay, songs you play to solve…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This one is probably just as fun as the previous one - if you didn't run into the control panel crash that the devs have been told about for five years (they ignore anyone who mentions it at this point). If you get out of that crash, the one in next chapter will get you. On some proton versions you will hit infinite loads, on the others you will hit start crashes. The first game is falsely indicated on Steam as SteamDeck verified, but at least there is a reliable way to play it to the end.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The monolith puzzle is the most tedious thing I can imagine, why make the player play the song so many times, every time waiting for the animation to play. It is a waste of time. Just let me click through stuff like this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Death of adventure Illogical puzzles, unlikeable characters, idiotic story. Avoid.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At the end I just used the hint book all the time, just to get it over with. Unfortunately, the story was not satisfying and felt rushed. Too many puzzles, with some very difficult and nonsensical, to enjoy the game. First half was the best. Buy with a discount.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →'The Inner World: The Last Wind Monk' is a sequel to 'The Inner World' and picks up about 3 years after the events of the first game. While having played the first game would help you understand several references and more backstory this is a self-contained adventure that you could play on its own without every having heard of the first game. In this adventure you will play the same 3 main characters as you do in the first being Robert (Ocarino), Laura, and Peck. You start the game with peck…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got it on sale and didn't finish it. Felt tedious after a few chapters and impossible to complete without using hints. Just wasn't very fun... graphics, story, and audio are terrific though.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I fell in love with this game as much as I did the first one. Love the characters, story, graphics, and gameplay. It has an autosave, but also lets you manual save if you want to exit. In-game hints if you want them (I didn't use it so not sure how helpful it is, but probably similar to that of the first game). If you haven't played the first Inner World I recommend playing that first, but both games are excellent classic point and clicks with a great story. I highly recommend to all…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Now to share my favorite games I played in 2025, which are mostly adventure and genre adjacent games: The Phantom Fellows, Dustborn, The Inner World, The Inner World: The Last Wind Monk, Rosewater, Old Skies, Botany Manor, Elroy and the Aliens, Life is Strange: Double Exposure
unlabelledView post →This game almost won me over, but the puzzles killed it for me. They lean way too much into try-and-error and “cartoon logic,” and that’s exactly where it lost me. I don’t mind a cartoony world, but if anything can solve everything, then you end up blindly combining items instead of actually thinking. That’s not the kind of challenge I want. The first game was miles better in that department. The puzzles there felt logical, fair, and rewarding. Here I constantly had moments like, “How was I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Inner World: The Last Wind Monk is a thoughtful and endearing point-and-click adventure that builds on the quirky charm of its predecessor, deepening the narrative and expanding the strange, whimsical world of Asposia. Developed by Studio Fizbin and published by Headup Games, the game offers a blend of clever puzzles, heartfelt storytelling, and richly imaginative world-building that appeals to fans of both classic adventure titles and modern narrative-driven games. While it remains…

unlabelledView post →A charming little sequel of one of the funniest games I have ever played. Like it's procedure, this one is quite short as well. It's a usual point & click adventure but with top notch writing, puns, wacky characters and even hardest questions about existential crisis! Our Heroes find themselves in trouble once again and save the Asposia (and stupid Asposians) once again from the evil. Again, the puzzles are of medium difficulty but what works best is soundtrack, unique cartoony graphics,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A completely unique universe, very interesting tasks, my brain literally boiled a couple of times)) But I passed it, thanks to the developers for this treasure, 10 flutenoses out of 10)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Enjoyed the first game and was happy to play this sequel. Liked the artwork and although it wasn't as charming as the first one, I was enjoying the ride. But ... the game is broken. Maybe it's because I'm playing on Linux. As soon as Chapter 1 ends, the game just crashes. So.. just got 1 chapter out of this. Sad.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall it's still a fun point&click game, sadly it is also much worse than the previous one in pretty much all aspects there are. The story is much worse, less engaging, dialogues aren't as fun, everything seems blunt, humour is subjective of course, but the first game made both me and my partner laugh multiple times while this one never did. Gameplay is somewhat similar but also falls short, there is a lot of backtracking, puzzles weren't as fun or engaging to me. As stated before, it's…

Pro: + 25 Steam-achievements + Steam trading cards + Likeable and cuddly characters. + Witty, humorous and entertaining dialogues + Interesting story and hand-drawn 2D environments + Multi-level help system + Great dubbing both the German version and the English version + Option to play German or English version + Dialogues and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fun point and click. puzzles but not unfigureoutable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very solid and very charming point and click adventure, and highly recommended. Takes on the order of 8 or so hours for a first playthrough without (much) use of the builtin hint system. Note that this is the sequel to "The Inner World" which I'd even more highly recommend, and that I'd not recommend playing this one without having played that one first. Hoping to see further parts: this is looking to be an again very solid point and click "franchise".
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played THE INNER WORLD twice
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unlike the first game, this sequel is boring, the characters lack personality and frankly, it feels like playing a childrens' game. While the first game was made out of passion, this was made out of greed and I don't feel like playing it, as the game moves in a snail pace with nothing interesting to offer. Previous characters that I liked for their uniqueness and personality are now bland and there's no reason for me to continue.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not really feeling the story on this one, especially when compared to the first one (which was really great). Puzzles are quite frustrating and somewhat illogical (can't remember whether the first one was like that too). Hint system is perfect though. Bought it last Steam sale with a large discount plus the bundle discount, so I guess overall it's OK. I suggest that you do the same.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can recommend this game. It has adorable and funny characters and good puzzles. Even though I think the first game was better, it's still a good point and click adventure. It also has a good working Linux version. I had a game breaking crash with Mesa versions before 18.2 in combination with my AMD RX 580, but this has been fixed since Mesa 18.2.1.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game that gets almost everything right. The graphics, interface, sound/music are all great. The story is interesting and the humour works well. The only disappointment is that the solutions to the puzzles in the second half of the game were at times obscure. I ended up using the in game hints at times, which I hate doing. At times, reading the solutions to puzzles didn't make the logic of the puzzle clear. Doesn't spoil the game but with better puzzles the game would be a classic.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think Robert might be my favorite modern game character - I love everything about him. This is a lovely sequel to the original. I pretty much play P&C games exclusively, and as far as modern P&C series go, this is up there with The Blackwell Trilogy, The Journey Down, and The Book of Unwritten Tales for me. The music is great, I especially love the flute-nose ditties. A few old characters and some new characters (my favorite being the mystery bag peddler). Great comedic dialogue that can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Must have played the first one in order to fully appreciated and understand this one. Definitely a cute follow up to the original, maintaining the same humor that characterizes the series. Too bad that, at the end, Robert and Laura don't finally kiss! You can cut the tension with a knife. Overall 7.5/10, definitely a must if you played the first.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Didn’t expect much, but I actually loved this. It’s cute, a bit weird, and genuinely funny. The puzzles are chill, not too hard, not boring. Just a really nice, relaxing game with personality. Worth it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved it. Love that the hint system gives you as much or as little help as you want. And l loved the simple but chraming story a lot. would 100% recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you have played the Inner World, this sad excuse of a sequel lacks all the soul and heart that made the original stand out. Now, I understand the temptation of playing the sequel, new adventure games, especially good ones, are exceedingly rare, so when I advise against this game know I do not do so lightly. If you haven't played the Inner Worlds, go play that, not only is it a genuine work of love, but unlike this smelling turd that besmerches its pristine image it is truely excellent.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is okay, buy it on sale. The good: + I like the drawing, many details + Puzzles aren't too easy + Good hint system that only tells you one detail at a time and only if you want to The bad: - The story is average and a little to cliche in my eyes. - The gameplay is sometimes annoying, since you have to do some things over and over again and listen to ever the same comments of the characters. I recommend using Proton 7 for Linux despite the native support for Linux.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The enormous charm of the series is present, as well as the imperfect, yet still good, interface. With much better puzzles than in the previous opus. Sensible, satisfying, not too easy, well integrated into the storytelling, and none of them requiring dexterity this time around. I also noticed that the feedback on interactions is often very good. An excellent point n' click. An improved sequel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Highly recommended. A great adventure game, easy and fun to play. The developer did a great job.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very well done sequel to the 1st game "The Inner World", played the 1st game on the mobile, it has a great story with a good story telling mechanism, the puzzles aren't too hard and mostly story focused. And this sequel here shows us these guys have improved in making games over the years and made a better game than the 1st one in general. Good job! For those who wished to start, it's advised to play the 1st game because the story continued directly from there. So it's pretty much…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first game was amazing, this one is even better. A fantastic sequel and a very fun game. Definitely recommend playing these two games if you like point & click puzzle games with a great story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game and wish more people played it. A solid sequel to the original, with a fantastical world and endearing characters brought to life wonderfully. I personally enjoyed it so much that I had conflicting desires of both wanting to play it and not, because I didn't want the story to end. The only thing I missed was having less animated cutscenes. Other than that, the game's aesthetics are much more polished compared to the first. Other improvements include sped-up walk cycles and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hey there, I'm just putting a thumbs down simply because I can't actually play it - the music starts playing but the loading screen never shows up. I'm not sure if I'm the only one facing this issue but I hope it can be solved.. I bought this together with the Inner World and I really joined that game :( I've tried contacting support but to no avail.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not bad not as good as the first one and defo say wait for price drop but over all its not bad little game and it does follow on from the first one which is better than this was but no glitches with this one at least good game to pass the time away if bored but defo buy on sale not worth it full price
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a pretty good game imo! great story, great art, just very good overall. I ran into some random crashes on linux but it wasn't a big deal and was quite playable even then, but that's about it. oh, and it can be quite challenging at times!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A lovely sequel to the original, with some creative puzzles, fun characters and a quirky world. You'll need to play the first game to enjoy this, but it's worthwhile if you're a fan of the genre. There were a few puzzles here and there that were made unnecessarily difficult by a lack of clarity (I'm talking about the knock counting puzzle and the switchboard plugs, if the devs are reading), but the well designed hint system compensates to some degree.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cute point and click game. Not always easy to figure out but that's what makes it fun. The story is solid and I love the visuals!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I will start by admitting that I was full of prejudices before I started to play "The Last Wind Monk". The first part of The Inner World-series was def not to my liking and got a nasty review. I realize now that I will need to replay the first part to give it an honest chanse. It is not the developers fault that the main character Rob reminds me a lot of my ex bf Rob, whom I hate most of all. They are just so similar: whiney cry-babies with a sick obsession with bad girls. Anyhow. This game is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Purchased the Inner World Bundle deal for $2.78usd ($1.59 for this game). For this price, I would definitely recommend the game for the art and voice acting, and the decent amount of playtime. It's basically a steal, IMO. In comparison to the previous game, this game had: - harder puzzles, more lacking in logic/clues (felt impossible without hints/guide more than half the time) - worse plot, subpar ending (certain plot points seem to be retconned/ignored by the ending) - less bugs? (I…

unlabelledView post →Cute little point-and-click adventure. Just like in its predecessor, the art, characters and humor are charming, though the story was weaker in my opinion. Great to kill a few hours with puzzling, and if you get stuck, there's a neat hint system. Overall I really like the concept of this universe with the inner world.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The lines are organized so well and convey a sharpened sense of humor, brutal and/but funny. Make it so relatable for those who live in a para-dictatorial society lmao Well, despite the story and the insightful lines, the puzzles themselves seem to force ppl to think outside the box too much. Hardly appreciate it.
