In my humble opinion it is a gorgeous, fun, often funny and ultimately moving film gorgeously performed by my colleagues and masterfully directed by Russo Bros. Hope u love
positive · AI labelView post →every story about studios thinking SINNERS cost too much at $90M has me remembering THE ELECTRIC STATE cost allegedly $320M, and then I realize I'm the only person to remember THE ELECTRIC STATE, a movie that I have not heard one human person discussing at any point since its release
negative · AI labelView post →They should make a film adaptation of The Electric State and have it be made by people who hate it.
neutral · AI labelView post →‘THE ELECTRIC STATE’ is now at 19% on Rotten Tomatoes. • The Russo Brothers’ lowest rated film ever • Budget was $320M, making it one of the most expensive movies ever Read our review: bit.ly/ElectricDF
neutral · AI labelView post →The Electric State might be the single worst movie I've ever seen in my entire life. It is staggeringly empty.
negative · AI labelView post →‘THE ELECTRIC STATE’ is not only the Russo Bros.’ worst movie, but also a prime example of the bleak state of streaming. Read our ⭐️ review... discussingfilm.net/2025/03/13/t...

neutral · AI labelView post →The Electric State (2025) would be a great movie to play in the background of a bar/restaurant. It looks pretty good, so if you don’t listen to it… or have to pay attention to the plot, it works. So basically my review is, The Electric State is a bad movie but a great screen saver.
negative · AI labelView post →The Electric State: Whatever your expectations for a $320 million Russo brothers Netflix movie co-starring Chris Pratt, Millie Bobby Brown, and Woody Harrelson as the voice of an animatronic Mr. Peanut… lower them. my review: www.indiewire.com/criticism/mo...
neutral · AI labelView post →I haven't watched the Electric State yet but the Russo's "take" on Simon Stålenhag's artwork seems like the worst reading of a work's tone maybe... ever? Like... Bob Hoskins Mario Movie levels of misunderstanding?

neutral · AI labelView post →A lot of the most interesting stuff being made nowadays (speaking in TV and film terms) are potential loss leaders funded by large companies to coax new subscribers onto their platforms, not traditional studios outside, say, HBO. And even then, for every Pluribus, there's an The Electric State.
neutral · AI labelView post →[Upcoming sci-fi movie] The Electric State (March 2025, Netflix) I think that a director should always make an adaptation into his own film, and not a copy/past, but I hope the Russo brothers (Avengers 4) respect the visual vibe from Simon Stålenhag's 2018 graphic novel. I'm not convinced yet.
neutral · AI labelView post →I'm five minutes into "The Electric State" and I'm already pausing the movie to complain that I can buy an alternate 1991 with a corporate robot uprising, but there's no alt-history I can accept in which Bill Clinton was somehow president in 1991. This bodes well for the rest of the movie.
negative · AI labelView post →Watched "The Electric State" with FERKs. We both enjoyed it. Main thing we took issue with was Chris Pratt's wig. Watch a movie for what it is, not for what you think it should be.. or you will almost always be disappointed.

negative · AI labelView post →man modern slop budgets are crazy give me 0.5% the budget of The Electric State and I'll animate you a full feature film or two 😭
neutral · AI labelView post →My name is Joe Russo and I am now watching the $320m Netflix movie, THE ELECTRIC STATE, for the very first time.
neutral · AI labelView post →I had literally no idea - zero, zilch, none - that there was a movie called "The Electric State" with an all-star cast, costing $350 mil, directed by the Russos, much less that it was coming out this weekend, till now. And it's part of my job to know this shit. These Netflix movies are like vapor
neutral · AI labelView post →THE ELECTRIC STATE, a film with no poignancy, has subtitles that try to do a LOT of heavy lifting.
negative · AI labelView post →THE ELECTRIC STATE is "one of those movies where it seems okay if you like this sort of thing for a while, but after it crosses the 90-minute mark, it seems irretrievably a little much even if you like this sort of thing." Read @glennkenny.bsky.social's review:

negative · AI labelView post →I'm 30 minutes into The Electric State, and I'm half convinced this has to turn out to be a fake film in a Hollywood satire at some point because there is no way every single line and plot point can be this generic.

unlabelledView post →So I just finished watching The Electric State and I gotta ask why is this movie getting so much hate? It has flaws but I found it to be an overall enjoyable movie. People are saying the book is better so now I wanna read it and see for my self. Maybe I liked cuz I like this robo political stuff.

unlabelledView post →This movie stinks, but Netflix should absolutely spend another $300 million to do a shot-for-shot remake, switch out Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt for Kristen Wiig and Will Forte, and call it MacGruber 2: The Electric State

unlabelledView post →Well, I've finished The Electric State tonight. It was a pretty good robot film, but not the best, though. I think these 2 robots were the best part of the film: Cosmo and Herman. 🤖 #theelectricstate #robots

unlabelledView post →It is terribly disappointing that Joe and Anthony Russo are openly, proudly talking about how they used AI in their most recent film, The Electric State. It should surprise nobody that The Electric State currently has a 14% on Rotten Tomatoes. Unsurprising, as laziness always translates on screen.

unlabelledView post →I get the sense that a lot of the criticisms with The Electric State film came from it adapting a very tonally different book. Despite that and it's familiar story, in my opinion, the score, the performances, some fun and poignant moments, and especially the visual effects more than make up for it.
