Most of the time you can figure out what it means and go "Oh, ok I guess this is this and that is that" But there were some that made me go "huh? what's that supposed to mean" and when the game also seems to instruct you to use S to duck and hide, it doesn't do anything at all. The enemy apparently makes a noise that indicates that it…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Did the game twice only to get softlocked near the ending both times. Turns out there are already so much complaints about the same bug over the past few years but the developers never bothered doing anything with it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Coma: Recut is everything you need for a couple of hours before bed if you’re into something scary. The story is as simple as it gets: you go to school, find an amulet on the way, take it, sit through a lesson, fall asleep… and wake up late at night in a spirit world. Your goal is to escape it while running from monsters — including your “favorite teacher,” who turns into something much more terrifying. Gameplay/Graphics: Everything is very straightforward here. It’s a 2D indie horror…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →+ beautiful art and good graphics + story is good, showing it as a comic works nicely + horror atmosphere is spot-on + exploration is good, finding some items of use, reading notes, looking for keys, etc. - hide&seek gameplay is a hit-and-miss, feels more like a lottery which becomes most annoying at the end where savepoints are scarce and you die randomly. sometimes you either have to sit in a closet for 5 or 10 minutes until enemy goes away or risk going out and dying a violent death if you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The teacher is scary, hot, and chasing me through school. I was stressed. I was confused. And I was playing the game with one hand. Great game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent enough game as it is with an interesting story and unique game play. The save mechanisms can get very annoying when you died and forgot to collect the notes you've gotten before you died. It's such a waste having five endings but not implementing something to help players so they don't have to redo almost the whole game again just to see the five different endings, that's just way too tedious to do. (UPDATE) Don't bother replaying the whole game to get the different endings. There's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has nice potential pretty much White day but in 2D, but it's a very buggy and rough game. I played the original (The coma cutting classes) years ago and I found out replaying this remastered version extremely frustrating, buggy door, glitching sprites and sometimes control ain't working. The stalker AI also very buggy, she keep camping near door or ladder, so when you just moving to one place to next she attacked you before the game finished loading, it kill the fun honestly hopefully I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun game, but easily locks you into a bad ending (I thought I have explored it pretty thoroughly, but I missed an NPC interaction in the final stage and since I've been using only one save I couldn't go back there - the door closed after me). But that makes me thinking that the bad ending is probably the true one (especially after what someone say in it about saving the mc), I will check the sequel next xD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game taught me a valuable lesson: always test your games for at least 30 minutes before buying them. I bought this game a couple of years ago because I watched a video that said this was a hidden gem of a horror game. I blindly trusted the reviewer and didn't feel like playing it atm, so I just let it sit. I'm finally playing it now that I'm going through my backlog and I must say: had I known it was this bad I would've refunded it immediately after purchase. The instructions are purely…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let's start with what I hate about Horror games. 1). I hate when the enemies do not seem to be a real threat, but still, the main protagonist cannot even fight back. 2). I hate complicated maps where we must waste time walking around brainlessly. The Coma: Recut contains both aspects that I hate. However, it's still better than other games. Firstly, although fighting back is still impossible in this type of game, the game allows you to dodge and use many items! Secondly, from the beginning…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm such a scaredy-cat.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is incredibly annoying. The maps are designed so you have to constantly backtrack and do half a dozen workarounds to get anywhere, the enemy AI seems designed to camp you (or just spawns literally inside you and hits you before you can react) and the ending sequence must be one of the most frustrating segments ever designed. The story is promising, but the gameplay leaves a hell of a lot to be desired. Hard avoid, even on sale. There are better games you can get for £1.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a 2D hide-and-seek, scavenger hunt, survival horror game. I didn't find it scary and the high school location you're stuck in gets a little stale after a while but I found the presentation of the game very charming and would recommend the game. Since there is some trading cards, it feels great too and it puts my rating a little higher.

unlabelledView post →Nice horror game set in a Korean school with a tense atmosphere. The True Ending is probably bugged. Basically, you need to stop the MC at a pixel-perfect position before the double doors to open them. I recommend not wasting your time and watch the True Ending on YouTube.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game in terms of the environment and character designs. However, I have some complains regarding the game: A. The Hot Teacher: I love how a C cup packing busty teacher chases you around the premises of the school but that's where the problem lies. When I am rummaging through my inventory or looking through my map, she sometimes spawns out of nowhere and deals damage irrespective of what I'm doing. This really frustrated me throughout the game as that psycho big titted wench stabbed…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Coma 2B: Catacomb is the least fun game I've played in a while. Adds nothing new to the franchise, but takes out all the fun, with a nothing-story and feels like it was either not tested or designed to spite players. Not scary, not fun and not interesting, just fetch quest after fetch quest
unlabelledView post →I expected something completely different from Korean horror but it wasnt that bad at all. Especially want to highlight the detailed design of the characters and environments its clear a lot of effort went into them. On the downside gameplay feels quite primitive and the price seems a bit too high. Probably wouldnt have bought it without a discount. and cmon lets be real who hasnt bolted from an angry teacher trying 2 sneak in a grade fix
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Every time I encountered the monster, I felt annoyance instead of fun, so the game probably isn't for me. I'm leaving a positive review, since I think it's probably objectively a good game for whoever its target audience is. Really superlative sound design. I just wish the basic gameplay loop had more to it and was less irritating.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →so unfair: the monster (mrs Song) is randomly spawning somewhere on the level and even if I hide it is sometimes still waiting in front of the door. If you hated the tyrant from resident evil 2 - you will hate this game - it is basically the core gameplay in this game. Regarding the technical state: some backgrounds were shown incorrectly(too short) on a ultrawide monitor (even though the game is not using its resolution), sometimes the game is not reacting to Controller Input. Could be a good…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →spent more of the game stressed and questioning my life choices
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The concept of the game is great, atmosphere well done and the story is interesting. All seems well until suddenly the monster starts camping outside doors and damaging you by simply screaming at your face, making it hard to time your rolls to avoid getting hit. To make matters worse, throughout the game, she'll occasionally spawn right on you, making it almost impossible to avoid getting hit. And because of that, most of the time you'll die unfairly, making the experience quite…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →for getting good ending there's bug with opening door... devs don't bother fixing it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fine horror game. Did not like the requirements for true ending - First one is to not lie(IDK how this is as essential as others for the ending)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish there was a "mixed" option. The game is interesting enough but the random monster encounters stop being scary very quickly and become annoying instead; they interrupt your exploration and it feels like their goal is to artificially increase the length of the game. I am not saying there should be zero random encounters, but there's far too many to the point where it's bothersome.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game Review: Wait for a Sale! 💸 Value for Money: At full price, it might not be worth your investment. However, if you grab it during a 90% discount, it's definitely a fair deal fr Story: The narrative is quite confusing and requires a lot of patience. If you wanna piece the entire story together, youll need to find almost every collectible and read every single note in the game (that's terrible) Gameplay: It can feel a bit tedious. The game relies heavily on RNG ghost spawns where your only…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Now, call me old fashioned but if your game is on Steam I think you should have a working Steam Deck control scheme for your players and not be lazy and rely on the community to do your work for you. That way when someone spends their hard earned money on your product they won't start it up and find that the game is unplayable. I mean that's just good business sense and basic morality but the game is awful so maybe that's why it was left abandoned because the developers are embarrassed. So you,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would really like to give this game a good review but I can't. It looks great and I am really interested in the story but I can't play this. The problems I am experiencing may be very selective, something not many seem to experience, so be aware that this is a review based on the games performance, not the content. The keyboard seems to be poorly supported. I can't even get past the "press 'A' key" screen. Literally smashing every single key on my keyboard did nothing, so I went and got my…

unlabelledView post →Honestly, The Coma: Recut surprised me in a good way. The story is engaging, the characters are memorable, and the art style really stands out, great atmosphere and creepy school vibes done right. It’s a short experience, but still very enjoyable. I do wish it had Steam achievements; that would’ve added some extra motivation to explore more. Minor Spoiler: To get the true ending, you need to meet the Noteman, but the door to him is a bit bugged. It says “locked,” and it took me quite a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Coma: Recut, developed by Dvora Studio and published by Headup, is a striking entry in the survival horror genre that expertly blends atmospheric tension, psychological storytelling, and stealth-based gameplay. As a remastered version of the original The Coma, this edition elevates the experience with improved visuals, refined mechanics, and expanded content, making it a compelling choice for fans of slow-burn horror and narrative-driven exploration. Set within the eerie confines of Sehwa…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd already played this on Switch way back. Fun game. A bit tedious at time, but fun. Items are not that necessary but they are there if you are impatient and wanna rush things. There are two endings as far as I know. Getting the cool one is a matter of exploring everything I think. I only have one major complaint. Now that I have a Steam Deck OLD, I had to change the control settings to the one the community made up cause the mapping that comes with the game had R2 as both the running button…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun and scary game, I was totally new to this horror style, there constant fear of being followed or ambushed. Amazing start of a series, hope to see a 3rd game at some point or have other Korean horror stories in this same style.

unlabelledView post →I am sorely disappointed with this game. This may simply be a matter of someone just saying "too hard" but the gameplay of this feels like a chore. It makes sense of a horror game to heighten the sense of helplessness by letting you figure out what you need to do but the real pain with this is that even tho they give you a map and kindly mark your location on it, they sometimes mark where you're supposed to go and sometimes don't. Thus, you are left to just apply process of exhaustion,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Coma series by Devespresso Games is a masterclass in indie-2D hand-drawn survival horror. Closer in play style to Clock Tower with a core game thread of sneaking, hiding, running, and solving puzzles to unravel a nut-bag story. Is nut bag hyphenated? Anyway, I played the entire series back-to-back because I have too much time and have a love for all things Korean culture and nut-baggary. The original is The Coma: Cutting Class (later re-released as The Coma: Recut), followed by a sequel,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Coma: Recut is a well made game in terms of story, but it falls short with the chase sequences and overall gameplay. Characters are well vibrant and expressive in terms of personality and drive the story tremendously. As the game begins to throw the player right into the midst of the action very early on, the tedious nature of the grab, bring, repeat cycle begins to unfold. Manual save points only add to the frustration which the game brings already, with the small stamina bar, scarce…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No native key rebinding in a paid PC game. This is a basic accessibility and usability feature, not an optional luxury. The atmosphere and art are interesting, but the fixed controls actively damage the experience. I cannot recommend the game until proper key remapping is added.

unlabelledView post →This isn't a great game, but it's mostly playable. It's mostly one of those "hide and seek" type horror games where the enemy chases you and you find something to hide in or come up with a different evasion tactic. The only trouble with this design is that there is a stamina bar and if your stamina runs out you are pretty much screwed. Beyond that you can also run to save points and reloading your save will make the enemy disappear. There's no combat and really no puzzle element, the game is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hello Clock Tower fans I would like to introduce you all to a series known as The Coma It's a story of a boy trapped in some kind of alternate version of his school and it plays very much like Clock Tower but with a twist There's 3 games in the series It's spooky. It's fun. It's very hide and seek.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this game because I was gifted a copy of the sequel and was curious about playing the first one first. There were way too many issues in the actual gameplay to even try and enjoy the hints of a story that I started to pick up. - Control mapping. Possibly a Steam Deck-specific issue, but the D-pad was entirely messed up. No idea why it's considered verified. At least this is an easy fix thanks to Steam Decks being great. - The killer frequently spawns near staircases and instantly stabs you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't really recommend this one. I was hoping for something spooky, maybe a chill or two, but instead it was a chase simulator. Constantly running isn't my kinda horror game, and I got mad more than anything cause I really wanted to learn about the story instead of constantly playing hide n seek. Took a whole lot longer to finish the game just because of the constant peekaboo game play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is a very fast monster that stalks you but the real enemy is the user interface. You get attacked while in the menu or in a dialogue so you get killed while trying to replenish health or trying to open a door. And then everything since your last save is gone you have to re-read text, re-collect notes and re-investigate the place. I thought this was a story focused game not this degenerated Dark Souls crap self-entitled gamers jerk off to.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Coma is on sale now on Steam. I definitely recommend this game. This bundle has all 3 games for a really great price. If your into indie horror games, this is a must play. These games are worth it. #TheComa #SteamNextFest #Gaming
